2501  Other / Meta / Re: Anyone experiencing slowdown using Tor? on: July 04, 2019, 10:22:28 AM
It's OK now, suchmoon's suggestion worked for at least twice so a guess that was the problem.
I just recently stated using TOR browser. Thanks for the help people, i'm locking the thread. Smiley
2502  Other / Meta / Re: Open appreciation, achievement of Hero rank on: July 03, 2019, 10:19:35 PM
Great news, congrats! I remember the time I ranked up to Hero, not so long ago. We have a long way to Legendary but with patience everything can be achieved.
Keep up the good work man.
2503  Other / Meta / Re: newbie topic starter on: July 03, 2019, 10:40:48 AM
What can be the mechanism to stop this for happening, you cannot restrict the users who whant to learn and ask questions just becase some stupid greedy people are trying to cheat their signature campaings.
I see no way out if we want to keep the status quo as it is now.
2504  Other / Meta / Re: Anyone experiencing slowdown using Tor? on: July 03, 2019, 10:26:26 AM
Tor always slows you down.

Your fiber connection doesn't help you when using tor at all, regardless of the site you are accessing.

I never had a halfway fast connection to any site using tor, which is understandable given the structure and usage of the tor network.

Can you usually browse the forum at a 'normal speed' when using tor ?

Yeah I know that, just normally takes around a second after I click to open a link, today it was around a 30 seconds, the few times I've tried and just decided to give up and use my mobile instead. Now it looks OK again. I just wondering if it was only me, like the problem with cloudflare yesterday.

BTW congrats on beging Legendary now Wink
2505  Other / Meta / Anyone experiencing slowdown using Tor? on: July 03, 2019, 09:26:05 AM
The access to the forum is very slow today, when using Tor. On the mobile there are no issues.
Can anyone confirm the problem,  I have a good fiber connection.
2506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people bought Bitcoin because of you? on: July 02, 2019, 08:35:20 PM
I have direct impact only on 3 people, who bought bitcoin because of me. But I have helped quite a few to understand how bitcoin/blockchain is working and cough their interest. I gave Bitcoin as a Christmas gift as well Smiley So overall I hope I have contributed enough to keep the bitcoin world grow Smiley

2508  Economy / Speculation / Re: !!! Q3 game is life, Quarter 3 prediction game !!! on: July 01, 2019, 03:30:11 PM
Wow, If we really get close to 18 000$ by the end of September the competition will be tough. Til now 6 prediction in just 500USD difference.
Good luck everyone Smiley

@LoyceV, seems like your wife has flair for trading, mine is still convinced that it's just a bubble Cheesy
2509  Economy / Speculation / Re: !!! Q3 game is life, Quarter 3 prediction game !!! on: July 01, 2019, 02:05:40 PM

2510  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! Keeping eye on the spammers for almost a year: [5.27.19] on: July 01, 2019, 01:34:19 PM
Yeah, as Lafu said, the Club is not closed, just working quietly. Of course it's not like in the beginnig things are more settled now but I guess you will find some spam if you look in the Altcoin section.
Here we mostly post lists of users who posted in a spesifc thread.
2511  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! Keeping eye on the spammers for almost a year: [5.27.19] on: July 01, 2019, 10:57:57 AM
I have some free time and wanted to help report a few spammers and bots, but I am not sure if we are still working, as the OP describes or maybe something changed during the time?

Are this threads in OP actual and I can dive right into them or they are not updated from some time?

Please let me know before I start to avoid unnecessary work for me and moderators.

After the last few changed there is much less spam associated with the thread bumping, I think we really made a chage. From time to time there are some bursts of spam which are easly dealt with, esspecially when we have LoyceV on board, Michell with his reporting bot and suchmoon with plagiarims checking bot.
What you can actually do is to check the patroll from time to time.
Bitcoin Disscusion section is full of HQ spam as I call it, full of repeating-the-same-thing-in-a-different-way type of spam... you can check it out too, but there everything is based on your jugement.
2512  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: July 01, 2019, 08:17:30 AM
Just FYI, Trezor uses something of a proprietary method of signing messages using P2SH addresses. I'm not sure if any other wallet is able to replicate this. I believe the method is published, just there is no accepted "standard" as yet. Much like Electrum and "bc1" addresses.

Hmmm, that's odd, I got another one staked a couple of weeks ago and there was no issue.
Quoted and verified.

But anyway, thanks for the info

I have verified it yesterday with the brainwallet. See my post above.
For the P2SH addresses you can use this : https://jhoenicke.github.io/brainwallet.github.io/#verify/

It took some time:)

No matter what AV software you have if you don't have enough understanding what can be dangerous to open you will never be safe.
I've been using Avast for more then 10 years now, and I have never experienced any problems. Stick with it and use your Common Sense and you will be fine Smiley
2515  Other / Meta / Re: Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny on: June 29, 2019, 10:32:48 PM
It's so sad that people like this one still exists.

Woman only good for fucking and sucking, they just a toy.  They don't have any actual intelligence like men do.
2516  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats fair price for Legendary Account? on: June 29, 2019, 10:29:20 PM
And you want to become a legend taking the easy way.
Well, after reading this I don't think the forum can benefit in any way from you. Please leave, and stay away from the women.

2517  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to get bitcoin / litecoin fork coins on: June 29, 2019, 04:10:18 PM
I have trezor one and I'm happy with it. If you are playing with alts you probably need to check which wallet supports your alts. There was a rumour before that trezor one will support Monero, but it turns out that it was just a rumour.

Yes I am thinking Trezor as well or maybe keepkey

There is a new section dedicated to Hardware Wallets , you can browse and check some other opinions. There are probably hundred different threads based only on the hardware wallet comparison... Or just try the search engine.
One tip. What i do when i search for a speific hardware/software is to google the " <name of the product> + problem". You can see if there are any spesific problems with the product, before you decide to buy it.
2518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Attack on Bitcoin on: June 29, 2019, 04:04:41 PM
Interesting, I reported this thread some time ago for spreading unsupported fud and abandoning the thread to turn it to a Spam Megathread but the Mods decided to let it be like it is and, few days later the situation is the same, just piling up sig spam. Sad
2519  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to get bitcoin / litecoin fork coins on: June 29, 2019, 03:59:55 PM
thanks all, I forgot one vital information. My coins are on a Nano s at the moment!

I nearly bought a 2nd Nano s so I can send me coins to the new hardware wallet to claim my forks. However, the geek in me said I should get another brand just so I can play with it / compare

Which hardware wallet do you guys recommend?

Normally you from a opinion based on the data you have, so if more data is laid out soon the opinion can change but for now, with the data we have we have already formed one.
Wondering why one would open a thread like this and leave the others like shooting in the dark.
