I believe so. Opposing simple means you're defending yourself especially when it's a false flag and you're 100% sure to be innocent. I see opposing as serving the same purpose kinda like the counter tagged of the old system speaking specifically about DT members.
I don't think anyone will support a flag again them, simply because 99% will never confess even if they made a mistake. We have so many examples already in the forum...

I PMd theymos about it but got no answer yet. I thought it might be a bug, because before it was not possible to post any feedback to yourself, it thought this should apply also for the flag system. I tested the system so I hope theymos will remove it, well it doesn't make any difference anyway, because nobody supports it anyway

@OP. Seems like you are staying (you made already 13 posts only today) so just lock this topic and quit with the drama. We have already too much of drama in the Meta these days.

This graph makes it very clear June 13 was a terrible date to sell We did okay for the first 7 months. Well choosing 13th as a starting date should suggest what will be the outcome it there gonna be a third one, then the outcome will be positive, I'm sure.

As I promised you, here is the graph, but this time it is not based on a day basis but on a month. After the NMC drama, was difficult to come with a price for each day, so took the lazy way https://live.amcharts.com/ODY5O/

We are not so bad in picking alts, the season was bad, so mostly it was a bad timing. Thank you for doing this and letting us in, thanks to the participants for all the fun, and sure, if there is a new round I'll join again, but I guess we could wait for the a better alt season this time BTW if you want to archive it , here's a link > http://archive.fo/z7P3cI'll make one final graph sometime later today, busy day today...

For me everything should be public, especially such confrontations, so I do not agree with both parties.
I believe none of them intended this to be non public, since they contacted a huge list of people. The point being they just wanted to ensure that every recipient had knowledge of that message. As you can see it quickly became publics and a lot of meta drama is already going on related to this. This is true but I don't really have time for all the drama, this has to end somehow. I don't really need to read all these explanations why people tagged (now flagged) their long time fighting compadres, trowing shit at each other. I don't really want to choose a side because there you see, someone said one thing. If I have to take a side, I have to decide alone and find and read all those proven facts that someone is this or that. But I don't have time to concentrate on such things, no. Those fights are for years and most likely things are no real evidence of any crimes-accusations. If I wanted this I would probably have joined a party til now. I prefer to put my time in something more constructive. I still think theymos should have created a thread and sent a link to everyone instead of doing everything in PMs. Then Lauda came with his/her message with got me thinking that this is way too much for me and I don't want to be part of it. I just deleted my custom trust list in other words I just resigned from my DT position. This is my way to protest against that political madness happening right now in the forum. You can only resign from DT1, not from DT2. I hope you'll reconsider in time: DT1 needs users who don't like the "political madness", and I think you're one of them. May I suggest fighting the madness by ignoring it, and continue doing the right thing? Thank you for your kind words Loyce. I won't give up on the forum and the community. I continue the same way, no matter if I'm on DT1/DT2 or not. I didn't ask for this power it was given to me by the community, so I hope when things settle down I might join the DT1 again, if I'm still wanted.

I just deleted my custom trust list in other words I just resigned from my DT position. This is my way to protest against that political madness happening right now in the forum.
The breaking point was the confrontation between theymos and Lauda which escalated to such level, I guess it's already around meta and the reputation board, which made me rethink my position in the DTs. I don't want to choose a side in this case, both parties made mistakes but that was not the way to find solution. Fighting, using the DTs as a weapon and do everything hidden in PMs.
For me everything should be public, especially such confrontations, so I do not agree with both parties.
So people please, for the sake of the community, settle down your problems once and for all.
It's almost 2AM here, and I'm awake only because of this political drama.
P.S. I'll still serve the community one way or another.

Since Theymos "fixed" the "broken" system, maybe you can start posting from your main account now?
He was banned for 60 days, if I remember correctly so he is still not able to post from the CH account. ... I guess I have to leave the Meta for a few days until everything settles down... maybe....

We need a log for all the flag activity now, all the created flags + those who support or oppose them. I can change my support to opposition as many times as I want no restrictions there. I've tested it on my own Flag which I created.
Just a side note> I can create a new flag after 180 days of creation of the first one. and the Trust feedback are rearranged from top to bottom- newest to oldest.

I just enter in my Livecoin account and guess what > Exchange is currently under scheduled upgrade Our programmers are working day and night on the Exchange update. Sorry for the inconvenience, we are not happy with it, too. Please, be sure, your orders and funds are perfectly safe.

He managed to create this thread so it looks fine, but if he was reading a thread and in the mean time this thread was deleted, if he tries to reply to this thread he will get the same error. Using the back button gets him back to the same cached version of the deleted thread and I guess he tried to post again but the same error came. This is my guess

I can put a flag on my own account. This should be disabled as before. Edited: Seems like I can also Support or Oppose the flag myself.

Another concern is that some accounts are created only to send PMs.
It's OK for me, I just want to warn theymos that there are many processes going on under the surface and people don't see them until they get hit by a problem.
There are many accounts developed in the offtopic section, mostly in the Russian Local. Those accounts suddenly start bumping different threads, that is nothing new. People are selling newbie and Jr. member accounts - I don't see the point of it but it is still happening.
Another thing is that those account maybe posted something and then deleted it. If you go into the ANN section you will find many threads with accounts with 1 post.

Yeah, ok but then this : Maybe more general solution can be made. Restrict the creation of new accounts from a specific IP allowing only one account per 24 hours.

If they start creating spam, report their posts and they should get nuked.
Yeah, but see this post : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4720640.msg51429838#msg51429838And the posts below, they have 0 posts you cannot report them when you detect them. You have to make a list and keep eye on it but they are many. I'll pull the data from my thread and the number are scarry, trust me. I don't like to post things without proof, but I have. If you choose a random date and check all the registrations (around 6-700) you will find a pack of accounts with similar structure of the usernames. Those are like between 20- 50 sometimes more than 100 per day. There are also small packs of 3-5 upto 10 account. It's big variety but they are there .. waiting...

|
It's not the first time we see a cluster of accounts created in short time span with similar structure of the user names with 0 posts. Those are most likely a bot created account which are put on hodl to spread their spamshit when needed. We have also seen such bursts of spam from such clusters of accounts a few time before. I'll give examples when I get back to my PC, I have plenty.. just check the last 10 pages of my CLUB threadNow, there is nothing in the rules against creating multiple accounts, that's OK, but when we are talking about 100s of accounts thing are getting more serious. We cannot report them because: 1. No way to report a brand new account which has no posts. I've requested a few times before to be added report button in the profile page, when we had the problem with bumping bots which deleted their posts in just a few seconds. 2. There is no rule we can step on to report them even if we have that button. So what we do create new rules or add them to a list to be monitored every now and then for activity and wait until they burst spamming. Maybe more general solution can be made. Restrict the creation of new accounts from a specific IP allowing only one account per 24 hours. You tell me what to do and I'll do it.
|
|
|
We cannot report them before they start posting their spam. BTW alt accounts are allowed by the rules so there's no solid ground to step on an ban them. I have found hundred of account created in a span of a few hours with the same structure of the username, even same website but still couldn't do anything about them.
