In my opinion, it is always good for people to trust the TOS more than what the support guy says, if the TOS says that the person must provide true information, if the TOS says that the person should not use a VPN to hide the person's location , so that person should not use a VPN, even if some support guy says they can use it, even if a forum representative says they can use a VPN, while the TOS is prohibiting it, so the person should rely more on what is written in the TOS. because the day the casino blocks the person's account because they were using VPN, the casino will use the TOS as the reason they blocked the person's account and will say that the person agreed to those terms of service

and if the person says that they asked the casino support guy if they could use the vpn and the casino support guy said he could and there were no problems, the casino can argue that the support guy made a mistake and that the TOS and what is it worth? and the casino will be right, the TOS is what it really counts. That's why it's very important that people don't let themselves be fooled by what the casino representative is saying, they should just believe the things that are written in the casino's tome.

As far as I know what is mentioned in their TOS is

Quote
All Duelbits promotions are limited to one entry per customer. We only permit one customer to participate from each household address. IP address, e-mail address, same payment account or shared computer(e.g. public library or workplace).

And I asked about the usage of VPN which is allowed as long as we are not violating that by creating multiple accounts to abuse the promotions and offers provided by the casino side.

You should not fake your KYC details, it is mandatory to give valid details if your intention is to continue using their service but the VPN is to prevent the intermediaries from knowing where you are spending your money not to evade anything suspicious but for your own privacy sake.
262  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto Scams in Each Market Condition? on: March 08, 2024, 01:31:17 PM
The scammers are constantly evolving, if you see some kind of scam today then probably they will come with more convincing kind of scam tomorrow that is why it's important to stick with the basics and don't let the greed to blind the common sense. In bull season the most common kind of scam is fake project pretending to be a project that is trending also have everything resembles in one way or another and hoping that people will make the wrong move when they are in hurry.
263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Simple mistake that makes you lose everything on: March 08, 2024, 10:08:01 AM
All I can say is one mistake but that's literally what you are asking.

Click the max near bet tab is one of the common mistake done by online casino players especially in dice games and they even started accusing casino for their own mistake which busted their entire balance in one bet and asked for refunds.

I don't really considering missing a bet as a lose because we are assuming something that happened after what we choose to do.
264  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do the needful this period and save yourself stress and heartbreak on: March 08, 2024, 05:05:05 AM
Scams exist in the crypto market irrespective of bull or bear market but most of the newbies enter the market in the bull season which could be the reason why the number of scams is high during the bull run. The friendly remainder is going to be effective, I don't think so because the people who really do their research before risking their money will be cautious and one who just blindly jumps in will learn the lesson in hard ways.
Most of the people who invest in this bull market have limited knowledge of how the crypto space works. They were just attracted by the increase in the price of most cryptocurrencies. I was in a betting shop and two friends were discussing the bull run and how they bought some altcoins which turned out to be a scam. A careful examination of their discussion points to the fact that they don't know anything about the market. Maybe they saw an advert that promises a mouthwatering profit and they wanted to get rich quickly.

Before investing in any coin there is a great need to invest in learning to avoid being a victim of scams. Investors shouldn't be too lazy to put in a few hours of research to ascertain the genuineness of a project. There is also a need to learn how to keep wallets safe to avoid phasing and hacks. The beauty of the crypto industry is that everything you need to learn can be accessed by just a quick search on the internet.

Not everything when we search on internet is legitimate information, for example if we type best wallet then it will give lot of articles that filled with craps and it may show bitcointalk results too but not always on the top of results so whoever search something on internet may get mislead too.

As you said, it's the investors priority to find the good projects and in my opinion every newbie should start with Bitcoin and hang around a bit to understand how market works before taking risks with shitcoins.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: March 08, 2024, 02:31:48 AM
We can't control the emotions by reading and article how to do it, it just has to happen naturally to us and most of the realise it from their own mistakes and smart people realise from others mistakes but the thing is same, we need to stay under our limits and can't force the emotions to influence your decision making ability.

In casinos where we physically appear may have extra pressure to bet more while we are losing and the reason is obvious because we don't want to project ourselves as a loser but in online casino there is no such pressure we are having full freedom to quit anytime we want.
I think you meant to say that we can't control to not have emotions. Human have emotions naturally. The point here is that we need to not have emotions out of control which can affect our mind to have a right decision-making. We can learn strategies and techniques to manage emotions, but true emotional control often comes from within and is honed through real-life experiences. Many people learn from their own mistakes, recognizing the consequences of impulsive or emotionally-driven decisions.

Maintaining emotional control is essential in decision-making, especially in high-pressure situations like gambling. The allure of potential winnings or the fear of loss can trigger intense emotions that cloud judgment and lead to irrational choices. Being aware of these emotional triggers and understanding how they influence behavior is crucial in avoiding impulsive decisions that may have negative consequences. When gamblers play in casinos, there can be external pressures, such as social expectations or the desire to save face, which may influence behavior, particularly during losing streaks. Online gambling makes people have more autonomy and flexibility to control their environment that allow for greater self-regulation and the ability to quit without external pressure.

Gambling is supposed to be fun not a stressful event so when you feel like that it overpowers at any point then just take a break from what's bothering it applies to betting on sports as well. We may lose and win that's the part of gambling and we need to accept the fact if we really want gambling to be fun and entertaining or else it's gonna be stressful and make it hard on you which is totally unnecessary in my opinion.

There's no point using VPN for privacy matters while they handed out their KYC to a platform and since they know that using VPN is been discourage to use if this is really the case happening to him then much better if they avoid using any tool that can change their IP since its expected that this will trigger this verification process since they will verify if the account still intact with the real user.

And since they are using a legit platform then I guess the only thing to do is to comply to what been asked since once everything will be cleared out for sure they can use their account the same as what they do to do it earlier.

Still it can help you to maintain your privacy and it's not to hide from the platform you are accessing but from the middle man which is your ISP may track these data and you don't want them to know which casino that you are accessing on regular basis but it's kind of tricky when it comes to accessing the casino that is why it is important to ask the support usage of VPN is allowed if someone wants to have the privacy I am talking and then buy dedicated IP which comes at premium cost.

269  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can gambling sites provide proof of auditing that was done on their RTP? on: March 07, 2024, 07:29:22 PM
This means that, on average, for every $100 wagered, the player can expect to receive $95 back in winnings over time.

AI told you some garbage there.

Slot machines are here for entertainment and the thrill of a big win, which does happen, but they are not here to make money for the player.

The most common RTP in the online industry hovers around 96%, in the offline industry it can go as much down as 80%, but offline businesses that go that aggressive rarely deal with regulars, while we in online deal with regular players and want that they stay with us longer, so we have higher RTP's. That doesn't mean that you, specifically you, will get 96% back out of $100 gambled. No, this means that the game, on an average (a huge average) is giving out 96% back, but in most cases you don't see it because it comes back in increments. Someone might have a zero RTP, someone else a jackpot. It's a theoretical average. The point is to entertain you as long as possible for those $100, and the slot machine will be taking and giving as you continue to play. You might win, but let's assume you'll not.

And although the games have to be ISO/IEC 17025 compliant, if the casino is using a slots provider (e.g. Bgaming) then they can't change the RTP, it's baked into the game and managed by Bgaming, not the casino. So the Auditing part would go to Bgaming, which is a Malta Gaming Authority audited brand, so basically MGA is doing the Audit on them.

If the casino is using their own games, there's more room for scams, so check if they are "provably fair" (no, it's not a typo). However, I would never recommend to play on a non-licensed casino.

This is what I thought as well, RTP is nothing but the average value of return that someone can get which doesn't mean that everyone who gambles will get as much as returns as mentioned in the RTP value because we never know which is the bet that is going to give us the win and that's why longer the betting streak the chances of winning is high.

However I just want to know is it mandatory to prove the provided RTP of in house games of casino to the players or its just for the documentation of regulators?

This kind of incident question the security of travellers in that country so the government should take some action of they want people to travel and especially it is one of the country where tourism contribute to the economy in the considerable amount.

As away supporter we have to know our limits too and which is the safe place and what are the things that can really hurt others.
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indirect victims of gambling addiction on: March 06, 2024, 09:59:36 PM
^

If a gambler has become an addict, his priorities do not include his family. He gets pleasure from gambling, not from a walk in the park with his children. Such people need the help of specialists and rehabilitation, and until this is not available, such people try to distance themselves from the family. When a gambler crosses the line of gambling addiction, then talking in the family circle about his problems becomes unbearable, so gambling addicts may well cause harm to those around them.

It depends on the level of addiction, I am not an expert so can't really comment on the specific stages but from layman's view we can differentiate a person who is in the early stages of an addiction and another individual is at the extreme so better not just categorize every one addicted kind of abuser to their family because in most cases they don't much harm but due to their addiction they also don't know what needed to be done to get rid of it that is why it is always be open with someone in your family so you will not feel alone. I must remind that the feeling of loneliness is one of the primary reason for someone to get addicted to something.
272  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to run Bitcoin node on my HP Intel i7 on: March 06, 2024, 08:21:45 PM
, If you were going to do it for profit, you should just stop right here.
Definitely am stoping right here. Now I understand what it really means to run a node. If running a node makes one not to depend on theirs party , it seems to be really good but it's resources consuming.

It is not very consuming to be honest and it does really worth what you pay as an electricity bill you are getting the benefits like being independent from third-party servers to validate your transaction details and you can hide your IP too by running via TOR.

But there are no financial benefits like miners while running a node.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indirect victims of gambling addiction on: March 06, 2024, 06:38:40 PM
There are gamblers who are not addicted to gambling or atleast they are aware of their limits.

And this thread is only about the addicted ones who get themselves caught in difficult situation which does reflect on their family too , wife/husband, parents and sometimes siblings too depends on the age category.

It's hard but that's the truth so everyone who wants to get short term pleasure should be cautious while approaching or else they could be lead to loss of their joy in their life.

Yeah I've been kicked out of a couple of exchanges before but it's always a month+ after the casino transactions and they always let you withdraw your balance.  I didn't think reputable exchanges would just steal your money because you gambled with it.  I just didn't want to install hot wallets for all those shitcoins that I only bought for bitvest purposes, but I just found one software wallet that can handle all 3 of them.  So I cancelled the withdrawals and will re-do them sending to my software wallet.

Sorry to derail this thread...

But you haven't kicked out of exchanges because of you gambled with it since there is no way of finding them the rewards are coming from your deposits or rewards of a won bet but it's just due to their policy that prohibits accepting deposits from casino as a preventive measure for money laundering which I don't know how effective in stopping the launders but it's existing policy so you should not experiment against it.

Unstoppable wallet is one of the open sourced multi crypto wallet that supports top altcoins which you can try as well.
275  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is a block equivalent to a bitcoin on: March 04, 2024, 06:39:35 AM
Nope. A block is set of transactions that is included by the miners which meets their criteria generally the transactions with higher fees.

For example the block 833067 included 2925 TXs

In the above picture you can see how much the miners made which is fees + block reward.
276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 2-month-old transaction still unconfirmed, stuck in mempool on: March 04, 2024, 03:17:15 AM
But I remember RBF differently from what you say. With RBF and especially with Full-RBF you can broadcast a replacement transaction that will superseed the existing transaction with additional inputs if you want and completely other outputs if you want that too, as long as you pay a larger fee for the replacement transaction.

It's an accepted double spend that doesn't get dropped by RBF aware nodes and which invalidates the older unconfirmed transaction which is completely replaced by the new one (paying higher fees!).

That's only possible when you perform Full RBF it allows the user to change any aspect of the transaction and thus include output addresses too but I am not aware of any wallet that has a built in feature to do that, we have to manually sign in the transaction and then broadcast it but with the conventional RBF aka the RBF we see in wallets like electrum where we can only increase the fees and it doesn't allow changing the output address but if we opt out the cancel (double spending) we can change the output address while paying a higher fee than the original transaction.

Hi, I might be intruding here but is there a chance to know whether there has been an update on anonymouscoward case? I first saw his post at the start of this month but he said that the pending withdrawal started at the end of January and according to his post on February 19, his withdrawal is still pending.

I have sent a message to anonymouscoward on the site, and asked to open a support ticket, as an large amount, I am asking for extra confirmation, as in replying with your addresses in the support ticket along with the withdrawal made, to be sure it isn't one of those temporary addresses, and/or exchange.

I have yet to receive a response, but will process them as soon as possible, when I get the reply.

Oh I didn't realize the site had DMs!  I just replied now and confirmed all the addresses for my pending requests dated Jan. 27, 2024 23:34-23:47.  The ETH/LTC/BCH goes to an exchange but that exchange doesn't expire addresses unless you generate more than 5 for the same token.  The bitcoins I just hodl.

It's good to see that Lightlord is responding to the people queries.

As far as I know, most exchanges prohibits deposits from casino accounts for due to AML regulations so no matter it's BTC or LTC just don't send from casino to exchange account and it may end up terminating your exchange account with all the balance on hold or possible to withdraw depends on the exchange's policy.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Work Now May Not Work Tomorrow on: March 03, 2024, 06:11:19 PM
Pattern, particular game or particular casino giving profits is superstitious not really a strategy because theoretically you can't keep winning the bets no matter what unless you found technical glitch and decided to exploit it but due to the better security of modern era casinos those glitches doesn't last very long and even all the bets using that technical issue will be voided and cancel any rewards made from it.
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 2-month-old transaction still unconfirmed, stuck in mempool on: March 03, 2024, 04:50:11 PM
RBF or CPFP doesn't allow the output address to be changed so it's not going to be useful for OP. As suggested importing the wallet to Electrum and see if the coins are available for spending, most likely yes considering the fee used is well within the purging limit and 2 month is very long time for any nodes to keep the transactions unless the wallet provider does keep rebroadcasting the transaction again and again until it confirms.
280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Wallet Spectator on: March 03, 2024, 01:03:56 AM
Bitcoin transactions are irreversible, once the transaction is confirmed.
