DZ did you get email from them?
like this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=262052.msg4178182#msg4178182

if not who got it? which email address will they use to inform us about tracking number??

Oh, I got the email alright...and was blown away that they so amateurishly leaked everyone's private emails all because of not knowing/caring about the difference between CC and BCC and Privacy Violations law.  Roll Eyes

I still haven't ordered the UPS for R1 because I'm still not convinced this isn't going to a refund. If they really do meet the deadline: Let me know if you're ok just buying a small UPS locally and I'll send you the BTC (except ahead of time) like I did with philipma1957 for his equipment, so we can buy a UPS in time, if this durn thing really does ship before year's end. If not, I still have time to do an order with Memory Dealers.

Thanks man.

Interesting discussion point. Would they be off the hook upon setting up a tracking number? Or do they actually have to *deliver* to firsttimeuser before the 31st?

Pulling up this invoice I hosted at Photobucket for R2 (which we bought out from a forum member): http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll87/SurfSkateKauai/a8295a7b-3c53-4bb6-98ab-f74a3276e00e.jpg

It says that they're "guaranteed for delivery by December 31."

I'd say even this wording could allow for interpretation either way, but would require a contract atty. or several to argue it out. One *could* (to weasel out of a deluge of refunds) say: "well, we have tracking numbers but they are not picked up yet so technically we made delivery."  Tongue

As a *buyer* however, you would *expect* to have the durn thing in your hands for delivery to be considered as complete.

What a disaster! Could HF have screwed up this launch any worse?  Roll Eyes

I sent trust to dhenson for alerting me to this matter via email with nothing to gain from his action. I suggest that others do the same, if he was the one that also alerted you to this problem.
265  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] R21x: 2 BM S1 Antminers. $135 = 7.2GH/s. 50% off 1st mth. hosting til Sun on: December 28, 2013, 02:48:53 AM
Since its 2 rigs, it uses twice the electricity so the fee would be $275 per month each miner. We just group 2 Antminers together as a subround to get a usable hashrate that's Industrial Class sized, and for accounting purposes.

They theoretically only use <400 W each (non-overclocked) which isn't anywhere near what the industrial class rigs use. Two of them together being one "rig" makes more sense. I have a Kill-a-Watt so I can get an exact measurement of my two Ant miners (which are on one 80+ Gold power supply) if that helps.

I have no control of the pricing on the miner hosting, although I do make suggestions from time to time.

I'm just the messenger on this. No offense, but I don't think you're taking into account:

- all electrical costs associated with a world class hosting facility
- cooling (we always add extra AC above and beyond the normal)
- overclocking (which uses more electricity)
- dual network costs (including a 500Mbps and 4G LTE wireless backup because lost packets = lost BTC)
- Estimated 20 min Server Grade UPS/Battery banks with gas generators for longer outages
- business insurance
- business permits/licenses
- employee wages to have a 6 member 24/7 pro miner support team
- Also: 5 IT experts/veteran miners that actually gives a crap about the miners they're hosting.

You *could* just plug it into a wall somewhere and run it and troubleshoot it yourself, but that is nowhere near a fair comparison to the all in one miner hosting service that we're offering, and is an apples to oranges comparison.

To be brutally honest as a pro IT Network Engineer, quotes for a Baby Jet type miner to be hosted at typical pro datacenters ran in the $1.5-2K per month price range for comparable (or even lesser) services. No joke. I should know because I already did the legwork during R1 when I was still a noob GBC. Feel free to solicit your own quotes if you don't believe me. Smiley  Cheesy

I say lesser service in most cases, because their focus at a pro server colocation facility is *not* miners and they would be lost if they had to locally troubleshoot a miner without mfg. support. You can't always fix a miner remotely, and having a "lost" miner support team is no bueno, when time is dinero.

Just to be clear, is two Antminers with a total 360 GH/s one rig or two? What does the $275 fee
apply to in this case? The .5% is pretty obvious and just scales with results. It would seem that
since the 50 shares are distributed across two boxes, the two boxes constitute "one rig", but you
could look at either way and make sense.

From OP: "We're collecting funds for two (2) Antminers for a combined hashrate of about 360 GH/s."

We may be able to overclock them to 400 GH/s total, but we'll have to vote to void the warranty to get extra hashrate at extra risk.

Since its 2 rigs, it uses twice the electricity so the fee would be $275 per month for each miner or $550 monthly total per subround. We just group 2 Antminers together as a subround to get a usable hashrate that's Industrial Class sized, and for accounting purposes.

Ok thank you for clarification, if I order tomorrow what date in March are we looking at? If the price is reduced in the next two months do I get more shares to reflect this?

Thanks

Hi Doeboy,

Question 1: To answer this: we don't know, and to tell you any different is to make stuff up. I've given my opinion on the matter earlier in the thread a couple pages back, but the "official" date given by BA is mid-March FWIW. I hate to say it, but we as miners all have to find a comfortable balance between being too soon or too late on a deal (or whether to pull the trigger on a deal in the first place), and that's a decision that we all have to come up with on our own.

Question 2: If the price is reduced in two months that has zero bearing on the price of these available shares at this particular time. If anything, I expect the price may actually increase as the delivery date nears, as in-hand or near-term hardware still has a premium over far off pre-orders. For example: Early R17 buyers benefited by having lower priced shares locked in with the February orders.

I'm fond of KnC, and see them as the gold standard as far as ASIC mfgs. at the moment. However, this March R17zj (or R17zk) sub-round is still a better hashrate value than a Neptune due to be shipping as early as April but if things hold to form, will most likely be shipping closer to the end of June, if we're all being honest about this biz.

Cheers.
268  Economy / Services / Re: Invest BTC in Oil & Gas Working Interest, Offering #2: North Guitar Prospects,TX on: December 27, 2013, 10:24:11 PM
I'm liking what I see in the prospectus, any chance you can say how much a share is worth?

Edit: Misread the initial post which said to contact you or Bobsag3 for more info. Will be sending a PM shortly.

Hey floatyfish,

Thanks for reading!

Here's what's available:

There are 12 shares available at about $50K each. Details as follows:

- $50,065.00 for 1/16 of two wells which is a 6.25% Working Interest. This is known as the cost of the project.

- Each share is worth 4.6875% Net Revenue (ie. the share of the profit) of this offering.

There's always a risk of a dry well but a working well can payout for 10-20 years in most cases versus 6-12 months for the typical ASIC rig.
269  Bitcoin / Group buys / Trade your DZ MC GB shares with other buyers / sellers at our Official Subreddit on: December 27, 2013, 02:47:50 AM
(Credit to veteran DZ MC member amer for suggesting this to me via PM)

I've set up a subreddit thread where you're free to trade your DZ MC GB shares with other buyers and sellers.

We strongly discourage refunds on GBs due to the chaos they cause (esp. on paid BTC orders) but selling your share to someone else without a 1.5% refund fee is a great path forward in many situations where funds are somehow needed for short term emergencies, as there is a ready pool of DZ MC members looking for hashrate from previous Rounds. [Reminder: new buyers *must* pay a 0.75% 0.01 BTC share transfer fee before this ownership transfer is officially recognized by the co-op. This fee is also now put in place for *any* wallet address changes from the original wallet address.]

We've done or are doing 21 rounds of BTC fundraising (many with subrounds) for Industrial Class Rigs in only 4.25 months! Here's your chance to either buy or sell GB shares from any one our twenty one Rounds of fractional ownership of Bitcoin (and even LTC/ALT) miners.

Cheers!

I have 1 order I don't have any idea who it came from, amount sent was ~10 BTC

Yes, it's a strange problem we sometimes have with our Version 1 site combined with the success we've had.

One time we even had a lady or gentleman place an order in before we had the GB round offering ready.

Before we were ready to list it on the forums, we only had the mfg., hashrate, and price listed in the title, with a site description that literally said: "Placeholder text" and he sent us a payment for some shares. That was a first and a source of some surprise and amusement that someone would trust us to fill in the blanks later.

Hi Tasweb,

From Thomas's OP:

International please send me a PM for quotes (must be 25 or more).

He has to custom create a shipping order estimate based on your Intl. location, but only if you order 25 or more.

DZ and Crew,

I've been lurking on the forums for a number of months. I purchased a contract with a cloud mining company a few months ago but they've let me down - put simply they are far to greedy (search my other post). After reading alot about the coop I trust you and I'm interested in buying 30 shares, I actually did process a buy order 3 days ago on the website for 31 shares (order 1362 - status on hold), I'm guessing now that that order is defunct, the plan was to wait until BTC had raised in value as it now has and order again but i see that Feb shares are likely all taken? if not I'd like to continue and pay at current market rate for that order but only if it's for feb, If not I'd like info on how much the March cost per share would be?

Kind Regards,

Doe.

[Edit] Merry Christmas by the way! my mother once had Christmas and it was Jolly splendid!!

Hey Doeboy,

Thank you very much for your trust and for your compliments! We never get tired of hearing compliments.  Cheesy

I'm of the mind that it makes more sense to build a business over the long term (instead of scammers trying to make a quick buck...while living with a constant fear of finally being caught), and that it makes more figurative sense to make a dollar off of 100 people than a hundred dollars off of one person (credit: Andrew Carnegie).

As for the shipment date, it's still Batch 1, it's just that they can't realistically ship everything in one day, and my sense is that they're being conservative as to the shipping date to give them some wiggle room which allows a mfg. to underpromise/overdeliver, instead of the opposite.

Neat factoid: the owner of BA is not Han Chinese and is a Westerner (although I won't say which country). This could partially explain why BA, a Hong Kong based mfg., is so aggressive and willing to expand in Western markets compared to other Asian based ASIC mfgs.

Hi,

I bought shares on dzminercoop. order # 1398, 1395. I would like to get a refund on order 1395 because i am thinking of buying a ltc mining rig and give it a try myself. I prob put an order in for an rig on your site once i decide which one.

My ltc adress is: LXSUHtGCLoJ1TDKsokJegAop3gU7cUm1i1

Also i would like to know if my order # 1398 is completed?

Keep up the good work!

Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Bitcoiner12,

Thank you for the kind comments!

If you wanted to apply GB shares directly to an LTC mining rig, you could skip the 1.5% restock fee that's usually incurred.

Also, in this GB, and in most GBs offered by most GBCs, GB refunds are usually no longer available once hardware is shipped, but since this equipment is delayed in starting until Sunday, we can apply any of your GB shares to an LTC rig.

Cheers.

How many shares are still available for this?

And did I read correctly that the hardware is already in hand and hashing?

Thanks!

Hi mboehler,

I have some good news/bad news to deliver regarding R21x:

Good: This hardware is enroute
Bad: However, this equipment won't be set up until Sunday. Miner Hosting LLC, our primary host company just finalized paperwork for our facility #2. a 6000+ square foot warehouse designed and staffed just for crypto miners, so that we can serve you better and offer room for future expansion.

Good: Because of this delay in start of hashtime, R21x will have discounted hosting for the first month at 50% off!

This offer is only available until R21 begins hashing on Sunday.

any news? excited on this venture.

btw, with DC MC, sorry for newbie question, can a member point their hashing share to his own desired pool?

thank you. MERRY CHRISTMAS DZ MC!

Hey Bakal, we decide as a group if a pool switch is needed except for R20 which will be multi-coin/pool mining with GPUs.
