1121  Bitcoin / Group buys / [OPEN=20/40 shares avail]R2: Bitmine or Cointerra + Host,BTCrow ESCROW,Est.$4-5K on: September 17, 2013, 05:54:00 PM
I like this, put me down for the remaining 3 shares.

Hi aneutronic. Thank you for the vote of confidence. Welcome aboard!

20 shares available!

Voting has begun for Bitmine vs. Cointerra. If you don't vote, the other co-op members will set the direction of the Group Buy & where it will be hosted.

===============================================================================================

Payments can begin now but we need to finalize share price and manufacturer. Reservations are held for 48 hours for Round 2, once share price and manufacturer is decided by majority vote shortly. There's two payment options:

Non-Escrowed: direct payment to my wallet address: 17a29H9BhUnaPZgZSdFifPndGxxWQXayuH

Escrowed: 1.5% additional fee. BTC held by BTCrow until manual release by buyer via refund or to finish a completed pre-arranged pre-order.

As usual, refunds are available up until unit ships at a 1.5% restock fee. Refunds are understandable in emergencies but are discouraged because of the chaos caused within a GB (the GBC has to float your shares and either keep the shares or try to find a new buyer).

** Please contact bobsag3 if you're interested in PayPal payments for your shares. If necessary, he's willing to "float" your shares & pay in BTC while your PayPal funds clear payment on his end knowing that a chargeback attempt by the buyer doesn't make sense since the hardware is not arriving to the refunding buyer's house anytime soon. **

=============================================================================================

After payment, please follow up with a PM sent to me -

Subject:
DZ CM/CT GB, # of shares, your username
Details:

1.Transmission ID on Blockchain
2. Your preferred wallet address for miner payouts
3. Do you prefer to have your wallet address be public or anonymous?
1122  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN=23/40 shares avail]R2: Bitmine or Cointerra + Host,BTCrow ESCROW,Est.$4-5K on: September 17, 2013, 07:13:51 AM
For Round 2's first major vote, Voting begins when we get to 20 soft reservations. So the pre-order decision becomes:

1. Bitmine Coincraft @ 500GH/s (upgradeable) at $4249 most likely at the beginning of January OR
2. Cointerra II @ 1000GH/s (uknown upgradeability) at $3500 most likely at the end of January or beginning of February

- Option 2 would have a further out delivery date but lower share price by the appropriate amount: $100 share with Cointerra vs. $125 with Bitmine (that's one nice thing of pricing in USD for a GB; no currency volatility to deal with, just the steady and normal depressing, crushing power of inflation with fiat*).

- Option 1 has the possibility of being hosted in the Netherlands or UAE in the Middle East to minimize shipping if we can get kaz's permission. Just putting out options there as part of my job.  Don't forget, the Bitmine unit *we know* is upgradeable while this isn't clear with Cointerra.

I'm fine with either option and will vote last w/ tiebreaker vote, if necessary. Either option, I should be able to get us super cheap vetted miner hosting near the mfg. whether it's Europe, the UAE, or the US.

bobsag3 has currently voted for Bitmine (unless he decides to change his mind) and I will not make a public statement as to which mfg. I prefer, as they both have some form of miner protection against delays. You can vote privately or publicly and I currently hold 5 votes which will be voted last, if necessary, with an optional tiebreaker vote. If used, my vote will become public with redacted personal info about PM votes avail. upon request.

I'll also put this poll up to see if anyone uses it.
1123  Bitcoin / Group buys / [OPEN=23/40 shares avail]R2: Bitmine or Cointerra + Host,BTCrow ESCROW,Est.$4-5K on: September 17, 2013, 06:45:27 AM
You are the man! Thank you and welcome aboard!

Since you're currently "the man" with the biggest vote, you'd actually have the biggest weighted vote in any mfg. decision. Technically, you'd have equal voting with me at this point, with 5 shares, since an anonymous gentleman has given me voting rights on his 3 shares in a vote of confidence! However, since I vote last & hold no open opinion on my preference on the options listed in any votes, the largest GB share owner with the earliest vote, which would be you, would have the biggest say in voting.

Welcome to a true representative democracy.  Smiley

23 shares available! Only 3 shares left for reservations before we go to actual sales! We're already almost at the halfway mark as far as total share reservations in just 3 days. Nice!

Question: did you want your wallet address to be public for payout spreadsheets listed here and in private Dropbox link?
1124  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: A little help to decide if you want to do a groupbuy or not... on: September 17, 2013, 04:51:15 AM
A lot of the work comes from the fact that many of you have no or very little restrictions regarding the minimum investment. If you choose to deal with 100's of of tiny investors, what do you expect?

Thats correct. Thats why burnin (The bitburner developer) now decided to only do B2B anymore because the work involved was too much otherwise.
But a groupbuy has the purpose to allow small buyers to buy. Of course one can raise the minimum but when i see into my list there werent very often chips bought below 20 pieces anyway. Of course a 1000 chip threshold would have helped a bit but its not much better than the 10K threshold avalon used then.

Hate to say it, but that's where gentlemen like myself, waldohoover, CoinHoarder, etc., etc.. help fill in the niche of those looking for complete hardware even if they don't own the entire device. The sad fact is that the very best values are only found in the most expensive hardware, for the most part; hence: Group Buys of single expensive miners for those adapting to rapid network difficulty growth. Group Buys are for those willing to take fractional risk on a number of strong bets among ASIC mfgs *and* Group Buy Coordinators. Those willing to be GBCs better have a lot of patience, be good at selling, customer service, education, and handling refunds and concerns.

When I became impressed by HashFast's Miner Protection Plan & value at the time for B1, I could buy about 1/3 to 1/2 of it so I didn't want to pay share management fees since I would own a big chunk. That's why I, personally, out of the blue decided, hey, running a Group Buy shouldn't be too hard! That was about Aug. 13-14 (I hope I've gotten better at things on my 2nd round for a Group Buy).

For my first real GB attempt, I quickly figured out that the only way I could compete and make a mark was if I offered rock bottom prices with some sort of guarantees in place for miner payouts. I also figured out that the only way the little guy could compete was by us banding together via trusted members so we can collectively get the best prices, technology, and values. My small co-op, which I had no intention of expanding 3 days ago, is currently at 19 members, so there's much less of us to keep track of, so far.  Smiley

=============================================================================================

I also offer services to smaller custom hardware manufacturers who do Group Buys here, like Barntech, for example, to help offload Customer Service and some marketing to people like me, who are hardware neutral, and advocates for both Buyers and Sellers. I'm able to see things from both perspectives having been in both roles.

I'm naive enough that well over a month ago, I even offered to help dig Yifu (offer sent via PM) out of his hole via Customer Service (AKA as uberfast refunds and sincere apologies to pissed off customers) when he came out of so-called "mafia" hiding and still had some semblance of a chance of salvaging his name and Avalon's reputation. This offer was from someone with no horse in the Avalon race, a CSR background, and the patience to deal with angry people since I had nothing to do with them being angry.  Grin

For those willing to put the work and effort into really succeeding at Group Buys...To those willing to take risks, you can't win if you don't try! Ya know that really cute friendly girl that everyone knows but no one asks out? Sometimes they're the loneliest ones because everyone assumes they have boyfriends! Or so I've heard.  Cheesy  Wink

Thanks to my first GB launched 1 month and 1 day ago, and my GBEC services, I've already vetted several hosts and GBCs for free, and already have a mesh network of vetted (or soon to be) vetted Bitcoin Miner Hosts available in multiple US states, and favorable possibilities to expand to Europe, the Middle East, and Asia! I had no idea I would have my GBEC services in place *and* a 2nd GB in September. I would probably have voted against such a possibility 5 weeks ago.
1125  Bitcoin / Group buys / [OPEN=28/40 shares avail]R2: Bitmine or Cointerra + Host,BTCrow ESCROW,Est.$4-5K on: September 17, 2013, 03:16:38 AM
Another share reserved by an anonymous gentleman. Thank you and welcome aboard!

8 more shares needed for soft reservations before sales begin, with or without escrow protection.

28 shares available! Amazing! We reached 60% reservations in only two days when I was just mulling aloud to see if anyone in the co-op or bobsag3 wanted to do a 2nd GB since we have all this hosting capacity available thanks to the mesh network of miner hosts and IT personnel we built up.

BTW, if you're a co-op member & a professional geek like 3 other gentlemen in the co-op, please don't be shy about professing your ties to the IT industry. Cheesy Grin

Besides I'll also get to brag that we have more professional nerds per co-op member then the other co-ops.  Cheesy  Cheesy  Wink
1126  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Why the Bitcoin community HAS to save the network from HashFast, CoinTerra, BFL. on: September 17, 2013, 03:05:28 AM
Anyway you can put me in the hat as the first Group Buy Coordinator willing to throw my hat to be a treasurer in if you guys are serious and if this project goes anywhere.

I run a small miner co-op that currently has 18 members with 2 of them knowing the exact research lab and location that I work at. I also vet and coach new Group Buy Coordinators and Bitcoin Miner Hosts for free in the hopes of doing future business with them. I've also been vetted by John K. & he's seen my LinkedIn profile with multiple dozen Hawaii/US Aerospace/IT/R&D professional endorsements and a 162 perfect feedback rating on ebay as my wife's co-seller/buyer of IT hardware. I can also perform escrowed BTC transactions as a BTCrow Escrow Affiliate. I advocate for both buyers and sellers and, in any arbitration, will side with the one having the strongest evidence and least scammy behavior.

My collateral in any financial transaction I do here is: my job/freedom/ability to work on low TRL projects and get paid to do it. Anyone willing to handle someone else's BTC/cash/PP/ID/miner payouts on these forum needs to put up those same type of guarantees to do business around here IMO. And you should use escrow from a trusted provider whenever possible.
1127  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Why the Bitcoin community HAS to save the network from HashFast, CoinTerra, BFL. on: September 17, 2013, 02:58:49 AM
OurAsic: I like what you're trying to do here with the openness you're trying to establish as open source software/hardware for 28nm ASIC chips.

I do have issues with the way you worded the release as it's combative and unnecessarily somewhat libelous by stereotyping every manufacturer you listed as evil and greedy when the jury is still out on 2 of the 3.  Undecided If I was editing your PR I'd caution that it's been proven that you attract more flies with honey than vinegar. Even if you *are* angry and bitter from being scammed: you shouldn't bring your at-home issues to work is what I was always told.

People are people. While business and politics seem to attract an abnormally large percentage of that "2-3%" that are mentally damaged or impaired such as sociopaths and psychopaths, most folks are decent people just trying to get by as their country's currency continues to inflate (some at ruinous levels), and are people that follow the laws and social mores of their culture, for the most part, eheh.

Perhaps if you had grown up in a hierarchical culture instead of an egalitarian one (relevant thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=281307.msg3154478#msg3154478 ) you may have found a way to still gain customers by calling attention to current product availability without resorting to negative (and possibly libelous) comments about any particular manufacturer.

BTW, as far as the nature of Greed: I don't want to say "greed is good" like Gordon Gekko but that same greed helped bring our ancestors out of trees and helped them to explore new vistas with all the concomitant unforeseen changes that would be unleashed as we went forward as a species. That same "greed" makes you get up in the morning and go to your job so you can continue to not live in a cardboard box.

Risk taking is good in a species. Extraordinary risk as a species overall, is probably ruinous, but risk taking is what helps makes us human and helps us to feel alive!

I wanted to share this because this is a pretty strong endorsement via anon. PM for both myself and for bobsag3's services. Keep it up Bob! They're appreciating your hard work:

"mathematically sound, mining will be for the big boys, blades and erupters will be obsolete. 28nm will be the next big thing. customized boards will be the one who will push the market for these big monstrous rigs higher...so everybody need to cooperate...cooperating means co-op.

Actually DZ, you put the XX BTC on whatever you decide, i've just placed my other order with ultibit for cointerra 2TH. I dont know ultibit even a bit. Just saw bobsag3 name, im okay with it.

i will be investing every other month on BTC for GB things. so only two group buys i will join so far:

1. ultibit (cointerra iv)
2. DZ  (DZ himself)

im done with:
1. Avalon
2. mining boards
3. Erupters
4. Blades

Good luck to us. God speed.

Regards,

XXXXXXXXX"

Thank you for your trust. I'm humbled by your endorsement which you allowed me to share anonymously. I promise you that I'll continue to be transparent and open in all Group Buy decisions.

No problem. I would caution however that for the next few months in-hand ASIC hardware is still going to sell for a premium and that if you're waiting for in-hand stock besides AM that ships tomorrow, we all may be waiting for a while.

Received a PM from another interested member. 3 more shares reserved! Thank you and welcome aboard!

1131  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: September 17, 2013, 12:49:08 AM
Holy cow, this thread's gone off the rails if we're talking about Star Citizen. With that said: I was there installing $150 1MB SIMM chips so I could get more RAM to run Wing Commander on a 486SX! The SX standed for SuX because there was no math co-processor like the 486DX. Strike Commander and Privateer were awesome too.

An Oculus Rift & GPU upgrade are in the works & I was an original backer for Star Citizen because I'm a sucker for a good space or terrestrial dogfight.  Grin

I'm sure the wife ain't going to like the even deeper immersion into digital Valhalla.  Cheesy  Cheesy
1132  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN/32/40 shares avail]R2: Bitmine or Cointerra + Host,BTCrow ESCROW,Est.$4-5K on: September 16, 2013, 11:41:58 PM
I've been partial to the Cointerra ever since I saw it.  Grin

Looking at the charts, it does seem to be the best bet. But, I'm a little apprehensive because of the tsunami of ASIC's hitting homes in the next 1-3 months.

jungle_dave summed it up very well (I hope your KnC(s) start shipping soon) and Andrew, you hit the nail on the head; all we can do is look at charts at this point. We also have to remember that out past 3 months into the future, any projections we can do start looking crystal ball-ish. Us miners *hope* the crazy growth will level out soon but it may not be until Spring. It could turn out that this crazy new growth is the norm and it *could get even worse* and in a few years we could all end up laughing about the relatively slow network growth of the fall/winter of 2013, when compared to future norms.

However, if you're willing to trust this crystal ball & look at those charts on TGB, 90%+ of the returns are made by that 6-7 month mark: http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/9bf8dae935

This assumes a January 1, 2014 start date which is being optimistic. You'll note that the profit for this miner is made by the 5th month using these projections w/ ultra cheap electricity, another advantage of doing a Group Buy with me, and actually shows that the miner should probably be sold at the *five month* window instead of 6-7 because returns diminish considerably but the unit may still have higher resale value (being in-hand; there *still* could be a shortage of in-hand hardware if the mining market continues to expand in size and diversity).

Where we could run into issues is the same thing that bedevils any GB: slow delivery from mfgs. The delivery could be on January 30/31 for this CTII & it would still end up being a January delivery with none of the benefits of running for the whole month of January. That's how small the margin of error has gotten.

Even with amazingly low 4 cent kWh electricity, a Bitmine 500GH/s in December *still* shows a loss: http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/9675b58987

=============================================================================================

Most people have done their homework on these GBs & come to their own conclusion whether to pass or proceed. Taking off my salesman hat for a minute, which is not the usual role for a GB Coordinator at this point: It appears to me if you're using these projections as a guide, one shouldn't even mine! You should just buy & hold like many people have voted with their wallets this month: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=291775.0

However, these Group Buys are for those that think that pure buy & hold is plain boring even if it's estimated to give the best returns compared to mining at the moment. One thing to keep in mind about the mining calculators we all use: they're all just algorithms, and while algorithms help rule and control the world around us, they're only as good as the data, rules, and models that you build into them. These algorithms can only estimate for factors such as future network growth & plain ole luck favored with math: like BTCGuild getting 6 discoveries in a row in the same day (150BTC on those ones alone).

Group Buys are good for getting the very best values (at cost in my Group Buy's case) and hedging your bets by spreading your bets among what you think are several strong contenders as far as mfgs. *and* GB Coordinators.

For myself, I Buy & Hold & do dollar cost averaging twice a month on BTC coin purchases but I also have pre-orders in with BFL (2 Jallys; ebay sold & funds applied to HF), 1/4th of a HashFast Baby Jet (Round 1 Group Buy), a couple of 2-2.7GH/s USB thumbs from Barntech, and a couple of shares (so far) in what will likely be a Cointerra or Bitmine unit...because I'm one of those that think pure Buy & Hold is boring while still practicing the general benefits. I also own shares in AM as mentioned and 13 shares in the mcxNOW exchange that pays interest on deposited BTC and fee payouts for all activities on the exchange.

I also love arbitrage and serving as a trusted middleman as a means to make money or BTC *from* the Bitcoin phenomena. I also have a Feb. 22 $30K rig pre-order worth 1.5TH/s for sale as an ebay conduit for a forum member in Canada: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASIC-Bitforce-Mini-Rig-Bitcoin-Miner-Butterfly-Labs-3x500GH-s-Feb-22-2013-/130993541777?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e7fd2d291

I may have to drop the price for it but I'm starting it off at that price. I'm obviously not your lawyer or your financial adviser, but I'm using this ebay auction, and my BTC related investments, as examples that there's tons of ways to skin a cat in this new BTC economy besides buy & hold or solo-mining.
1133  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN/32/40 shares avail]R2: Bitmine or Cointerra + Host,BTCrow ESCROW,Est.$4-5K on: September 16, 2013, 07:56:36 AM
What is your expected return per share?

I am interested and so far your GB looks good.

Hi Andrew,

Thank you! I try hard to provide a great value at the lowest possible costs and lowest cost miner host fees.

Expected return per share? Honestly, your guess is as good as mine! We can play with calculators from BitcoinX and The Genesis Block all day long, but those are just estimations roughly grounded on future network difficulty changes. We all hope to make a profit but if things go sour, well at least risk is shared and any refunds requests will be handled as promptly as possible. We also hope to sell the unit(s) at the 6-7 month mark to recoup investment costs and split the proceeds among owners.

We do know that from user FCTaiChi's hard work that the current #1 and #2 pre-order options as far as estimated returns are CoinTerra IIs and IVs. Group Buys are meant for those miners trying to get access to the best values at the lowest prices and are hoping to hedge their bets across multiple strong bets.

Shall I put you down for a soft reservation for 1 share?

===

Additional info from a PM sent to another interested potential Group Buyer:

Hi XXXXX,

Thank you for saying that you have no problem trusting me! I hope you don't trust any ole person that comes along. Just kidding.  Wink  Cheesy

In this Group Buy, 1 share worth $125USD for a 500GH/s Bitmine Coincraft unit would be worth 1/40th or 12.5GH/s of HashRate to be delivered in Late December/Early January. For comparison's sake, an ASICminer blade available and capable of 10.7GH/s is currently priced at about $650 before delivery costs.*

If the co-operative decides to vote for Cointerra when 20 shares are reserved, 1 share would instead be worth $100USD for a 1TH/s CTII or 25GH/s of HashRate to be delivered in Late January/Early February.

[*Disclaimer: I'm an ASICminer shareholder of 1.14 shares; John K. is currently holding my shares]

Fascinating! Thank you both for your cultural insights and contributions to what's turned into a deep and meaningful discussion.

Cheers mates!

What is this I dont even...

A post with historical references, logical argumenting, linguistics, good grammar, even some humour. You even managed to tie in a larger reference with WW2, free world and how we stand on the shoulders of giants.

I must ask that the mods ban you for a week or so for daring to put so much sense in a single post Wink Tongue

BTW, also we can't forget that "The Greatest Generation" were snot nosed kids that listened to music that the old timers hated, and didn't "get off the lawn" at one point too. They were scared and had to put their belt on in the morning, just like you.

We do them, and our ancestors, a disservice too if we don't try to achieve all that we can in whatever we try. I think Gramps would be stoked about me participating in something that empowers people and helps protect their families from inflation by participating in a naturally deflationary currency (even if he may not have understood the digital crypto aspect).

P.S. To Zeek_W: I think raginazn managed to straighten out his Customer Service issues he may have been facing you mentioned. I understand he may be facing some mental difficulties at the moment. Let's not forget mental injuries can be just as painful and debilitating as physical injuries, even if the damage isn't visible.

This PM below (with editing corrections) contains snippets from a PM sent to someone already soft reserving 4 Bitmine chips and unfamiliar with the GB ownership process and payout guarantees from vetted miners and miner hosts. I'm giving him or her additional Bitmine options that he/she could switch his soft reservation for, even if that includes switching his or her soft reservation to Bitmine's official chip reseller: zefir, if he/she wants. I *love* customer service and educating others if they're willing to listen to me blather on, eheh:

Hi XXXXXXXXXX,

If you participate in my Group Buy or any GB on this forum by a vetted GB Coordinator, you get access to the risks and benefits of owning a partial share of the best values as far as stock manufacturer hardware from various manufacturers. If you're buying hardware, the very best values are only available at $5K and above but they're out of the range of most miners, but we can band together to get purchasing power that gives us access to the best hardware with the lowest possible costs.

For example, if you owned one-fourth of this Group Buy, which would be: 10 shares at $100-125 ea. (final price dependent on group majority weighted vote) you would own 1/4th of any potential Bitcoin earned as well as 1/4th of the voting power in the Co-operative. So if the miner(s) earned 100 BTC in a month, your quarter share would be 25 BTC paid out that month. This is before hosting/management fees are applied to shares, which average 3% & above, but are only 2.75% in this particular GB because I have a mesh network of vetted miner hosts in multiple states in the US mainland and access to potential vetted hosting in Europe and the Middle East.

=====================================================================

Some benefits of a Group Buy with optional Escrow Protection at a small additional fee (so a 3rd party holds funds and does post-sales dispute resolution):

- Access to the very best values (wholesale and/or volume discounts) in ASIC pre-order hardware not usually available to regular miners like us. This is about the only way people can keep up with the rising difficulty if you're just an average person that's not rich.
- Shares available *at cost*, as if you were buying it yourself; no markups whatsoever to your share of ownership of the miner(s).
- Lowest professional hosting prices anywhere, one can search the entire internet and there's no better hosting prices then in this Group Buy and/or through bobsag3's professional service.
- Equipment run in world class hosting site(s) with backup sites available thanks to my mesh network of miner hosts by bobsag3, BeepBeep2, and possibly kaz911 if being voted to be hosted in Europe or the Middle East and with kaz's permission.
- Remote administration by me: a Pro Network Engineer at a Research Lab, and a 2nd former Pro EE/Network Engineer: jungle_dave
- Local administration by one or more IT professional experts: bobsag3, most likely in this case.
- Introductory rate for first contract with World's best miner hosting fees. No hosting prices are lower than this, bar none.
- Business insurance upon delivery and during outbound shipments of hardware.
- 24/7 security with 12 motion triggered IP cameras sent to send live video feeds to bobsag3 if he wins the hosting vote
- My brother is a Police Lt. in the same state as bobsag3, so I should be able to cut through a lot of red tape and get quick help from Law Enforcement, if necessary. He also kinda sorta knows what the heck a Bitcoin is because I explained it to him (and BFL operating near him) during his last Hawaii vacation.
- We intend to sell this equipment on ebay at about the 6-7 month mark where my wife & I have a 162 perfect rating built up over 10 years as a buyer/seller on ebay. 90%+ of the projected one year returns should have been made by this 6-7 month mark, if you check The Genesis Block Mining Calculator. Most of the returns will have been returned from running the equipment over one year (because of rising difficulty) but we should still be able to recover some of the original purchase costs which will be split up among co-op members after ebay fees.

How are you guaranteed that I'll pay out every 2 weeks? If you believe that fraud or illegal behavior has occured, you just need to contact John K. Escrow [user: John (John K.) ] , jungle_dave, or BeepBeep2 with this information so they can contact legal authorities if necessary in which I lose my good paying job and my security clearance which lets me work on neat projects. I'm all about ultra low costs for Bitcoin Miners, honesty, and transparency of process, if you read through my Group Buys I perform. For major decisions: We are a true democracy as a co-op; I didn't even vote in both major votes we performed. No equipment gets bought, or shipped without the majority will of the co-operative votes.

Please see the links in my signature: "Logic of Group Buys and Escrow" and "My 2nd Group Buy" for more info. Please let me know if you still have any questions after reading through. We need to get to 20 shares reserved (at $100-125 ea.) before we start doing actual sales. Keep in mind: these GBs are the best values and the earliest possible access to these market best values (which is why we all participate in these Group Buys in the first place) especially if there's a vetted hosting site near the manufacturer for earliest operations.

===

BTW, these 2 manufacturers have some sort of late delivery buyer protection, although the protection isn't as comprehensive as HashFast. If it's really late, we can all ask for a refund if the majority want this. I can't guarantee delivery but I will do my best to get you a refund at a small restocking fee of 1.5% if you need access to the funds in an emergency. If, for example, you somehow own half or more of the miner, I may need a little time to pay you the full refund (2-4 weeks) but you *will* get refunded at any time up until the miner ships.

After that, you'd be kind of silly to ask for a refund because the miner payouts which should occur shortly are the whole reason why we're patient with Group Buys of pre-order hardware.  Besides, having had time to replenish Bitcoins over time, the other co-op members would probably jump on the chance to get more pre-order share pricing on in-hand or near in-hand ASIC hardware. Cheesy

Aloha!

I can confirm bobsag3 is moving shortly into an excellent, world class hosting facility of his own shortly and that he's a top vetted miner host in my Miner Host Matchmaking Index.

With his introductory rates: He also has the world's best hosting miner pricing at the moment, bar none.

I have to resist all preorders until at least one starts paying me.  I have four or five.

I hear ya Philip! No worries, you're already helping us out big time on the Baby Jet, PSU/batts, *and* fans!

jungle_dave & firsttimeuser: Nice!

Thanks and welcome aboard again! LOL, I had no idea I was doing a GB 2 days ago but now seems to be a natural time to do it since everything's squared away with our HF miner except for my payment to Philip for PSU/batts.

So...32/40 shares available! These are soft reservations up until we get to 20 shares left. so: 12 more soft reservations to go before we go to actual sales.

Related to hosting: As his online marketing/management agent (Full Disclaimer) for his hosting services, I've seen the inside of the building bobsag3 photographed, and it seems to be well suited for expanded miner hosting with 400A available and 120A backup generator all right next to Google Fiber. He's gone the full step to running it as a business so he won't be an amateur for much longer & he may not be able to hold prices this low for too long.

=====

Also I'd like to open up Cointerra II as an option: with Bitmine, unless it's hosted in Europe (not out of realm of possibility since kaz911 has hosting there) there's going to be a shipping delay having a unit shipped from Europe. Looking at Giorgio's latest news, if we were to purchase today, it would ship mid to late December.

We'll vote between the two when we get to 20 soft reservations.

Option 2 would have a further out delivery date but lower share price by the appropriate amount: $100 share with Cointerra vs. $125 with Bitmine (that's one nice thing of pricing in USD for a GB; no currency volatility to deal with, just the steady and normal depressing, crushing power of inflation with fiat*).

Option 1 has the possibility of being hosted in the Netherlands or UAE in the Middle East to minimize shipping if we can get kaz's permission. Just putting out options there as part of my job.  Wink Don't forget, the Bitmine unit *we know* is upgradeable while this isn't clear with Cointerra.

I'm fine with either option and will vote last w/ tiebreaker vote, if necessary.

Hahhaah! Why, thank you.

With that said: I'm heading to the local sports bar soon to watch young men batter the crap out of each other for obscene amounts of money!  Cheesy  Cheesy

I love sports and the strategy behind sports (I enjoy the coaching match behind the scenes in many sports). Interesting to note that Mayweather's fight game is 95% mental...much like BTC investing and ASIC pre-orders is 100% mental! I have no bet in this game, I'm just enjoying the chess match and fireworks.

If Rome is burning, I want a front row seat and a pocket full of BTC.

And popcorn.

Edit: I'll call it now: Canelo may have a puncher's chance and has a shot at flooring Mayweather for the first time in his career even if he doesn't win.  Wink

9/15 update: Was right about the mental part as far as the fight; Failed as far as the outcome. Lesson: Great defense still beats good offense.
