Religion and science are actually very related, and have gone hand in hand for several decades, up till the concept of creation and the source.

Both comprises of zealots, who are totally opposed to the other.

Although one is based on faith, and the other faith in facts

If science is faith in facts, what is religious faith?  Faith without facts?  How is that better?

"Faith in facts" is an oxymoron... the word faith implies lack of evidence/facts.....

In ancient times, one king might have said to another...

"It's a fact that my zealous religious cult soldiers are not afraid to die".

The other might have said,

"My populations are taught that homosexuality is evil, and that sex with a virgin is wonderful. It's a fact that this increases the birth rates and maximizes the number of soldiers for my troops. Let's combine these two methods."

Facts?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fact
"A fact is a statement that is consistent with objective reality or can be proven with evidence."

Given zero evidence is provided, neither statement is a fact

The fact that you asked the question tells me that you don't even understand the word, fact

i think anti god posting should be illegal and punishable too.

I think any book which condones slavery should be burned

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bible_and_slavery

Why stop with books? Burn the Constitution so you don't have to be in slavery through taxes.

^^ More Crazy shit christians say ^^

Well? The Constitution enforces taxes, which are a form of slavery. It's starting to turn into more crazy shit that Moloch says.

The IRS "enforces taxes"... the constitution is a piece of paper

Also, taxation is not slavery... wtf?

Is it your goal to use every word in the English language improperly until they lose all meaning?  Is that your goal?

Do you even care about what you say, or are you just trolling because you are mad?

According to dictionary.com, religious faith is "strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof."

The only way to find truth is through facts and evidence.  People can believe literally anything on faith.  You could have faith that the moon is made from green cheese, but that does not make it true

In this venn diagram, faith can only lead to "Beliefs", or "Poorly justified true beliefs" if they get lucky and are correct without evidence... Faith cannot possibly lead to Truths or Knowledge (both of which require facts and evidence)

Why are you still trying to blame things on Obama?

Shouldn't you be blaming Trump at this point?

What pedo networks are you talking about?

Do you have any evidence for this, or do you simply watch Alex Jones?

I was thinking about the goldilocks zone ..
Why does it have to be a planet same size plus same size sun plus the right sort of distance for it to be able to have life on it?..
Why not a huge sun    but a different size planet that is further back BUT because the sun is huge the heat and light might be good enough to hold life ..

We are looking at the goldilocks zone but I thinks many many planets can have life without being same as earths distance from the sun ..

You misunderstand the goldilocks zone

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circumstellar_habitable_zone
"In astronomy and astrobiology, the circumstellar habitable zone (CHZ), or simply the habitable zone, is the range of orbits around a star within which a planetary surface can support liquid water given sufficient atmospheric pressure"

Since all life on Earth requires liquid water, we are assuming we won't find life without liquid water on a planet.  The goldilocks zone is simply the area where planets could have liquid water on their surface

The distance for a goldilocks zone depends on the size of the star... a bigger star will have a larger zone which could have liquid water on a planet

The goldilocks zone has nothing to do with the size of a planet, and it certainly doesn't mean the planet is exactly the same distance from its star as the Earth is from the sun.

Man Uses Bible to Justify Decapitating His Girlfriend in Front of 3-Year-Old
http://friendlyatheist.patheos.com/2018/08/30/man-uses-bible-to-justify-decapitating-his-girlfriend-in-front-of-3-year-old/

Quote
A man charged with premeditated murder says he decapitated his wife in front of their three-year-old daughter (below) because she didn’t “repent.” He later used the Bible to justify his violent crime.

Timothy Paul Hernandez, a 32-year-old man from the state of Washington, was arrested after his parents came home from church and found the decapitated body of his girlfriend. The couple reportedly had a verbal argument the night before.

They told investigators said Hernandez and his girlfriend were verbally arguing before going to bed that Saturday night. They left for church sometime between 9:30 and 10 a.m. and when they returned home, they found the woman dead…

“Timothy advised that he had spoken with God, who told him to strike down his girlfriend … because she did not repent,” a detective wrote in charging documents. “Timothy stated that he struck her down, and caused for her head to be removed from her body.”

Investigator said Hernandez quoted two Bible verses to them, including a passage from the Book of Revelation.

“Each of the verses that were quoted had passages in them that spoke about women who did not follow God’s word, so God struck them down.”

Hernandez was charged with premeditated murder because he didn’t just have a mental health breakdown. He had a fight with this girlfriend the night before, and then chose to kill her the next day, while his parents were at church.

Before you jump the conclusion that mental illness played a role in this murder, however, you should listen to what Hernandez himself had to say about that theory:

Hernandez told investigators he was not crazy, and stated that a crazy person would not tell the truth, investigators said.

Detectives found a large butcher knife in the home’s sink, bloody clothing, and used a chemical to illuminate bloody footprints around the body that led into the kitchen to the sink where the knife was located. The victim had multiple stab wounds.

Charging documents also give disturbing details about the 3-year-old observing the crime scene.

As horrific as this is, it seems neither unbelievable nor new. Even if religion played a role in the crime, the root causes for his violent outburst may go back to something even older than Christianity: jealousy and the desire to control a woman. The Bible was merely justification for what he did. Now it’s his only defense.

I want people held accountable for their crimes, that is what I want.
I don't understand why they cover it and not just simply reform.
It makes me wonder whether the churches are really run by the "chomos" or they are just ignorant.

I believe the pope and cardinals understand the scope of the problem.  They realize thousands of priests are pedophiles, maybe tens of thousands.  They would have to admit corruption and collusion that leads all the way to the pope.

They don't have a solution either.  They could fire all the pedophiles, but that is like 25%+ of their priests.  And, it wouldn't fix the problem, more pedophiles would show up to replace them.

The problem is the prohibition against marriage of priests.  They would have to change that policy to reduce the number of pedophile priests

" There is no atheists in war" When people get in extreme situation, they pray, maybe not to God or other god , maybe to Universe but in war there is no non believers.

That's an ignorant thing to say...

Do you seriously believe that you know people better than they know themselves?

In a war, I would NOT waste time praying, that does NOTHING but get you killed.  The thought would never even cross my mind, I would be too worried about a million other things that could kill me.

God has never protected anyone in a war, so why would you even bother praying?

Have you ever heard of someone praying to God, then charging the enemy and surviving?  I haven't...

China didn't ban the bible

China only banned "downloading unauthorized versions" of the bible

You can still buy the book at any book store... and presumable download authorized versions

When scientists disagree, they publish papers with evidence and experiments to back up their claims... the winner gets a nobel prize

When religions disagree, they kill each other... nobody wins

It was the morals of the religious that were trying to stop the scientists who were developing the first atomic bomb

Just stop... stop making up lies... please

If you want people to believe in your religion... you should stop lying... your book says not to lie

Pics or it didn't happen

.....

Okay, so the Catholic Church covered those pervs up.

Whadd'ya want?

Ya want them running around naked?

U mad bro?  Who said anything about running around naked?

What I want is for people to be held accountable for their crimes... I want these pedophiles put in prison... I want every accomplice who covered it up by transferring them to another church put in prison

I want the other 49 states to run a similar investigation and throw everyone involved into prison.  I want all of the countries of the world to investigate their priests for sexual crimes against children.

I want the pope thrown in prison since he has admitted to knowing about it and helping to cover it up.  He has admitted being an accomplice to sexual crimes against children!

I want people held accountable for their crimes, that is what I want.

I honestly can't believe that in this day and age, there are people that don't believe in evolution, gravity or a spherical Earth. Where did these people go to school?

What blows my mind is that someone spends every day on here for years arguing nonsense... quite a dedicated troll

It amuses me that since I announced I blocked BADLogic, he replies to EVERY post I make...

He didn't used to reply to me... he must be afraid of an argument, and simply wants to troll now that he's on ignore

I really can't argue with an idiot, he's gone off the deep end.  It gets worse and worse, and I cannot watch the train-wreck any longer.

Like the Catholic Church covering up for thousands of priests molesting children?

WHY DO ATHEISTS (like me) HATE RELIGION ?

Seriously what has to happen in a person's life for them to seriously give up hope on the one true everlasting brand (of religion) which their ancestors have followed for generations.

Everyone has their own story even I have mine, so lets hear some of it.
"

---------> I think you're just agnostic.

You realize agnostic and atheist are not mutually exclusive?

Agnostic, from the Greek word gnosis, is an answer to whether you know God exists

Atheist is an answer to whether you have a belief in any particular diety

You can be an Agnostic Atheist, or Agnostic Christian... hard to be an Atheist Christian, but I have heard of Atheist Jews (about half of them are "cultural Jews")

.....

What is interesting to me is that if the left gets their wish and Trump is somehow impeached, Pence is probably fucking 10 times worse.

The 2/3 vote required in the Senate is impossible to achieve. These days everything is decided in the Senate by just a couple votes one way or the other.

This is all fake news. The more fake news express high negativity for Trump, the more certain factions are happy. As the Russia Collusion fabrications fade away, replace with New Bad Trumpies.

I can't take anyone seriously who propagates an improper usage of the term 'fake news'.  Reporting things you disagree with is not "fake"... fake news is people like Alex Jones, who spreads nonsense about pizza shops until some guy shows up shooting an assault rifle around
