Astrology is just another religion

Your mom is a religion...

Is your avatar what you really look like? Or is it only part of your religion?

I admire fine art... It's a painting I took a picture of while in Paris 20 years ago

Why must everything revolve around religion and trolling?  Are you retarded?  Did you parents not love you enough?

Astrology is back, and has been for a long time. Nowadays it has a sister called modern science. Both of these are attempting to upset the authority of God again. Once more God will upset the foolishness of mankind. But this time, it will be a complete destruction of the whole universe.

To be fair, I have mixed feelings on astrology... I give it more credit than religion, which is obviously false

All of the psychic stuff complete bunk... like horoscopes, mediums, palm readings, tarot cards, etc

But, I have not been able to say for certain that star charts are bunk... these trip me up with their accuracy and predictive qualities (the few times I've actually looked at them), similar to science... it could just be coincidence, I just can't say for sure
1265  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can Bernie win New York? on: April 20, 2016, 06:13:11 PM
all the upcoming primaries are closed as well.

Are you sure about that?

I think Maryland, Connecticut, Pennsylvania etc are all closed primaries. If he loses them, it's over, well before he gets to California.

A closed primary isn't an issue if they allow same-day voter registration...

The problem comes when you have a state like New York... which requires you to register 6 months before the election... before Bernie's campaign even started!

FWIW, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Indiana, West Virginia, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and California are all open primaries (for democrats anyway)

That's 8/15 states left... more than half have open primaries

He was initially sentenced to 4 years in prison.
Surprised how the retrial enhanced the sentence from 4 years to death sentence.

He was sentenced to 4 years and 800 lashes

The 800 lashes part... is the death sentence...

Anything more than 39 lashes is considered a death sentence (because you will likely die... very painfully)

There are still a lot of states left, and I have only checked 1 of them, California... California is an open primary... 100% of the states I checked are open...

In fact, California is open to let independents vote for the democratic primary, but not republican... so they can't vote for Trump, but they can vote for Bernie... good times

Also note, Hillary's email scandal is still being investigated by the FBI... she could still be indicted while campaigning... wouldn't that shoe-horn Bernie into the nomination as the only valid candidate?

1268  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anti-Atheist Bigotry: Atheists Are As Distrusted As Rapists on: April 20, 2016, 05:48:58 PM
Atheists are not as bad as rapist. They do not violate your free will.

Their problem is that they don't realize how using their freedom to rape (for example) actually takes their freedom from them. They start to realize it when they are thrown into prison, where they lose a lot of their freedoms.

God damn it you are such a stupid fucking asshole

Atheists are the most moral of all people (evidenced by statistics)... 20% of Americans are Atheist, yet only 0.2% of prisoners are Atheists... do you need any more statistics than that?

According to prison statistics, Christians are 10,000% (100x) more likely to commit a felony than an Atheist...

People like to think Blacks commit more crimes than White people... but it's only like 3-to-1... Christian vs Atheist is 100-to-1... Basically, Christians are the ones committing the vast majority of crimes in America... statistically proven to be true

Buddhism aisn't a religion.

why not? for me its the most amazing religion, all that philoshophy and wisdom

i think buddhism is one of the religion that doesnt discriminate other religion.

Yeah I experienced it with a buddhist and whatever I say with our church he just keep on nodding and not saying against to our church. That's why I respect him also as a human being regardless the religion on what he had. The most important just is humanity just learn to respect each other and they will respect you and your religion.

No... I will not respect religion

If an adult says they believe in Santa Claus and The Tooth Fairy... do you respect them?  HELL NO!  You pick on them for believing in stupid shit with no evidence... same thing with religion... it's fucking stupid, an obvious fairy tale... believing in fairy tales deserves zero respect... it deserves my derision!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIzAyIUo7_g

In Brooklyn alone (Bernie's home turf), more than 125,000 registered democrats were changed to independent by the DNC

This affects the current look of things because it looks like Hillary will win by 15%+

But, after the courts decide to count the votes of people who had their affiliation changed by the DNC (provisional ballot)... the result will change drastically in Bernie's favor

Clintons are not being paid to just speak at these events, they are paid to pave a path for the future of these groups. That amount of money is disgusting.

It is just another, legal way to pay the bribes. Seriously, who in their right mind will pay $500,000 or $1 million for just a few minutes of speech? The donors consider this as an investment. They can pay Hitlery $10 million for ten or twelve speeches, and in return she will give them tax breaks and contracts worth a few billion USD.

Such a corrupt system, hate that so much politics dictates Canada as well. Do not see people getting it together to rally against the system because its going to take a lot of loss before we take it down.

People have been rallying against the system... but it doesn't get media coverage... because the system owns the media...

There have been a record number of protesters arrested at the Capitol during the past 2 weeks... mainly protesting money in politics

One of the candidates was born and raised in New York (Brooklyn)... it was Bernie Sanders... just saying

Sanders moved out of NY more than 50 years ago, and he has ZERO ties with the Democrat establishment there.

Sanders performs poorly among the older voters, who form a very large part of the NY electorate. Most of the younger independents and democrats, who support him, failed to register for the primaries. And moreover, NY is the prestige fight for Clinton. She is spending tens of millions of USD, and is campaigning non-stop. That is exactly why fivethirtyeight is predicting a 15 to 20 point victory for Hitlery:

http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/election-2016/primary-forecast/new-york-democratic/

Meh, your prediction site also said she would win Michigan by 22%

I already explained the 3 main reasons why she is leading and will likely win New York, but it will be close, within 5% (unless there is blatant election fraud like Arizona)
1275  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can Bernie win New York? on: April 19, 2016, 04:21:59 AM
Hitlery is going to win this one by a good margin, perhaps by around 20% of the vote. My prediction is 60% for Hitlery and 40% for Bernie. NY is Hitlery's home state and the large African American and Hispanic communities are solidly behind her. Bernie might be able to secure a majority of the votes from the Italians and the Irish, but that is simply not enough.

One of the candidates was born and raised in New York (Brooklyn)... it was Bernie Sanders... just saying

The only reason Clinton moved to New York in September 1999, was because an easy senate seat was up for grabs (she got the seat in 2000 election)
1276  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can Bernie win New York? on: April 19, 2016, 03:42:09 AM
New York has a lot of rules that favor the establishment...

Closed primaries... no independents can vote (80% of indy's vote Bernie)

You had to register 6 months ago... basically, before Bernie announced he was running... If you were previously independent or republican or unregistered, and want to vote for Bernie... you can't

Also, in districts that favor Hillary, voting is open from 6am-9pm... in districts that favor Bernie, voting is open from 12pm-9pm... 6 fewer hours to vote... wtf? (super sux0r if you work the "swing-shift")

That being said, I still think he beats the polling average by 5-10% (unfortunately polls still how him behind by 12%)... Hillary will likely win by less than 5%

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2016/04/15/sen-bernie-sanders-releases-tax-returns-2014/83074944/

Quote
Sen. Bernie Sanders and his wife, following pressure from Democratic presidential campaign rival Hillary Clinton, released their full 2014 federal tax return on Friday, showing a combined income of more than $205,000.

Sanders released summaries of the couple's 2014 federal and state returns in June. Friday’s release included the federal return's attached schedules and offered more background on the couple’s finances, including charitable gifts of $8,350. Sanders pledged during Thursday's heated debate with Clinton to release earlier returns at a later date.

Sanders and his wife, Jane, paid $27,653 in federal income taxes and $7,903 in Vermont income taxes in 2014. Their income is largely derived from Sanders’ Senate salary of $174,000 and Social Security benefits.

Sanders has been under pressure for weeks to release his returns. Clinton raised the issue during the debate to counter questions about why she won’t release transcripts of her paid speeches to Goldman Sachs. Clinton received $675,000 for speeches to the company in 2013, according to her own disclosure.

“There is a longstanding expectation that everybody running release their tax returns, and you can go to my website and see eight years of tax returns,” she said. “And I've released 30 years of tax returns. And I think every candidate, including Sen. Sanders and Donald Trump, should do the same.”

In announcing he would release his tax return, Sanders said no one should get excited about them.

“They are very boring tax returns,” he said. “No big money from speeches, no major investments. Unfortunately -- unfortunately, I remain one of the poorer members of the United States Senate.”

Sanders, explaining the delay in releasing the returns, said his wife prepares the taxes and “we've been a little bit busy lately. You'll excuse us.”

Clinton fired back: “Well, you know, there are a lot of copy machines around.”

Like other members of Congress, Sanders is required to report  his personal finances annually. His latest report for calendar year 2014 shows $25,002 to $65,000 in revolving debt on his Visa credit cards last year, mortgages for homes in Vermont and the District of Columbia, and an initial mortgage for a relative. The report shows no stock in his name.

Sanders spokesman Michael Briggs said in June that the credit card debt included weddings for his daughter and niece in the past year, but that Sanders had brought the balance back down to zero.

Clinton released her tax returns, filed jointly with her husband, former President Bill Clinton, in July. They show the couple earned just over $28 million in 2014 and $27 million in 2013, more than double the $13 million they earned in 2010, when she was still serving as secretary of state. The 2014 total included $10.5 million in speaking fees for Hillary Clinton, $9.8 million in speaking fees for the former president, and $6.4 million he earned from "consulting."

In a statement, Hillary Clinton noted the family had given $15 million to charity since 2007. The tax returns show $14.8 million of that went to the Clinton Family Foundation. Clinton said the couple has paid $43.9 million in federal taxes since 2007, and that last year they paid an effective rate of 35.7%.

Oh, but that isn't true with the Great Bern?

You might be surprised, but the Catholics have come a long way in recent years...

NO.

The Catholic church mentality is still in the 16th century. On the outside, they want to give an impression that they are listening to the progressive ideas. But it is just a hogwash. In Catholic countries such as Philippines, the church is still opposing family planning and condom usage. And there is no end to the Catholic hypocrisy. The pope reportedly "apologized" for the tens of thousands of genocides and massacres perpetrated by the Catholic church upon the indigenous people of North and South America. And just a few days later, this moron (Mario Bergoglio) canonized one of the worst genocide perpetrators (Junípero Serra). The words and actions don't match.

Fair point... I didn't say they were perfect or anything... just better than they used to be... they aren't running around burning books and witches, or murdering scientists and homosexuals these days...

Progress has to start somewhere

IMHO, this is one of the worst things Trump has said

Donald Trump on ISIS: 'You have to take out their families'
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWiaYQUV2oM

It's horrible to condone murdering innocent civilians...

This is what I hate about the ultra-left wing nuts. You never condone the atrocities by ISIS. You all cheered and laughed when the ISIS barbarians were raping 5-year old and 6-year old Yazidi children. But when someone says that we should "go after" the family members of these ISIS  guys, then you all get upset. Once more, he said "go after", rather than "take out".

First, the word you are looking for is condemn, not condone... words are important...

Second... I'm not aware of anyone who cheered or laughed when ISIS was raping children (I don't even recall this happening, I think you made it up)
Where do you get the idea that anyone approves of ISIS?  Who said they like ISIS?  Anyone?
You are (falsely) accusing the people you disagree with of being evil... plain and simple... bigotry in action

As far as Trump goes, he didn't say we need to "go after them" (he lied in his public apology), he said, "TAKE OUT THEIR FAMILIES" (3 times)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWiaYQUV2oM&t=1m37s (time queued, so you can hear Trump say it 3 times)
Quote from: Donald Trump
The other thing is with the terrorists... you have to take out their families
When you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families
They care about their lives, don't kid yourself
But they say they don't care about their lives, you have to take out their families

He's talking about murder... there is no other way to interpret that... unless you think he means, "take them out for dinner"?  Get a fucking clue
