I think you should add these :
1. Love God first, then your parents, family, relatives, and broden.
2. do all activities based on the best human ever, Prophet Muhammad.
3. read Qur'an and hadith of propet

and then your life will be lighten  Smiley

I appreciate your advice, but I have already found enlightenment, and it was not hiding behind Muhammad

If original 10 commandments was made by man, you will be right.
Such commandments will not be eternal and unchangeable and people could discuss about it, like about constitution of any country.
But, since God created 10 commandments, not any man, we see that still after a few thousand years this commandments didn't change and still have power to change and inspire people.
Can you find something like this in laws man created?
No, of course, because God's laws and commandments are vertical and eternal.
Man's laws and commandments are temporary, never last long time, as already proved many times in human history.
Do you think that your 10 commandments above will last 4 000 years?
Or 1000 years? 10 years? 1 year? Even 1 day? I don't think so.
Please think about it.

Have you read the 10 commandments in the bible?

Do you seriously think that's the best a "god" could do?

Can't you see that the first 4 are narcissistic, even for a god?

Do you realize that only 2 of the commandments are even laws? (secular society doesn't believe 8 of the 10 commandments are worthy of punishment)

Why is there no commandment prohibiting slavery, pedophilia, etc?

The best your god can do is, "Don't curse your parents", "Take the day off on Sunday (or was it Saturday?)", and "Don't say my name"?!?  That's your basis of morality?!?!?  These are among the 10 most important rules for humanity?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

WTF is wrong with people?  FSM gave you a brain, use it!
1205  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Christianity is Poison on: May 01, 2016, 04:16:24 PM
You should understand that ideas, ideologies and religions can't kill others, hate people or something like this.
Only people can do it.
It's very often that people misunderstand basic ideas behind religions and do very bad things in the name of God or their own religion.
Still, we shouldn't accuse religion for it but people.

I disagree with your statement that we shouldn't blame religion... religion is the enabler

Without religion, these people might not have killed anyone...

It's like someone inventing a nuke, then when people misuse it, and destroy the planet, you blame people?  You have to blame both... without the nuke, people would not have been able to destroy the planet... same goes for religion, it enables people to be wicked while believing they are the good guy... (flying an airplane into a building, et al)

It's an evil book, which enables people to act in evil ways

I get pissed when collectors just spam the phone book of every one with the same last name. I get two collection agencies that call every day and I got tired of telling them they got the wrong number and just let it ring.
Imagine that they would act in the same manner if they where given the power as they tend to attract the dicks of the world that enjoy threatening people.

Most of them are not even collection companies, but scammers

Scammers don't care if they have the wrong number, they will keep trying

They just want your credit card number or bank account #... or perhaps some info to sell, like name, address, email, etc
1207  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can you come up with a better Ten Commandments? on: April 30, 2016, 05:42:56 PM
In my opinion none can create ten commandments better than we follow now. If you understand clearly it relates to every sin done. So no need of an alternative.

I'm fairly sure God missed the commandments for:
1) Thou shalt not rape little boys
2) Thou shalt not enable priests to rape little boys by hiding them and moving them to a new church
3) Thou shalt not own slaves
4) Thou shalt not murder homosexuals

I could go on, but you get the point?
1208  Other / Off-topic / Re: Poll: Which religion is the best religion? on: April 30, 2016, 05:17:20 AM
imo true Christians are different from Catholics. Christians are serving Jesus Christ in spirit and truth.

While catholics serve idols and saints thinking that it is well pleasing in the eyes of the Lord.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_true_Scotsman

Quote
No true Scotsman is an informal fallacy, an ad hoc attempt to retain an unreasoned assertion. When faced with a counterexample to a universal claim ("no Scotsman would do such a thing"), rather than denying the counterexample or rejecting the original claim, this fallacy modifies the subject of the assertion to exclude the specific case or others like it by rhetoric, without reference to any specific objective rule ("no true Scotsman would do such a thing"; i.e., those who perform that action are not part of our group and thus criticism of that action is not criticism of the group)

Maybe you should actually read the Bible before you bash it. I edited your post to fix some inaccuracies:

religion will teach you how to be a better person, we can't compare all religion where are good it's back to your self. where you faith believe in Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, Catholicism, atheists, Unreligious. so i never think Christianity is Poison or other religion is Poison, in my view all religion is same.

Religion does not teach you to be a better person...

Religion teaches you to own slaves (Slavery in the bible is nothing like American or modern slavery. That said Christians strongly believe slavery is wrong.), rape women (Absolutely not! Exodus 20:13), murder homosexuals (Absolutely not! Exodus 20:13), murder witches (Absolutely not! Exodus 20:13), murder your own children (Absolutely not! You have misinterpreted the story by a long shot), etc...

Basically, religion teaches you to be a hateful (John 4:20, Proverbs 4:12) narcissistic bigot (Proverbs 29:23, James 4:6), who thinks God loves you more than other people (yes, he does love us more than anyone on earth: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.)...

If you managed to learn something good from religion, you did [not do] that on your own... please do not give religion credit for your own deeds "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus... Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded."

Your "corrections" are simply false... Have you read the bible?  Don't claim you know more about it than I do... you don't

Slavery in the bible was not some nice thing, like you pretend it was... there are plenty of quotes I could pull from the bible, such as:
Quote from: Exodus 21:20-21
If a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod and he dies at his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, he survives a day or two, no vengeance shall be taken; for he is his property

Yeah, sounds nice... slaves are property, and you are allowed to beat them so long as it does not kill them within 48 hours

The bible also says slaves are property for life, and they can be passed down to your children (Leviticus 25:44)

Rape is justified on many occasions... Have you read the story of Sodom and Gomorrah? Lot hands his virgin daughters to an angry mob to be raped... and this is a good thing according to god...

The bible says, "If a man rapes a virgin woman, he must marry her, and pay her father the bride price of 50 shekels" (Deuteronomy 22:28-29)... I suppose that's a good way to find a wife if you happen to be a super ugly man... not very moral though

Yes the bible commands you to murder homosexuals... don't pretend you have never heard that one before... Leviticus 20:13... ring a bell?
Quote from: Leviticus 20:13
If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads

Witches:
Quote from: Exodus 22:18
Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live

Genocide:
Quote from: Deuteronomy 2:33–34
The Lord our God delivered him over to us, and we defeated him with his sons and all his people.
So we captured all his cities at that time and utterly destroyed the men, women and children of every city. We left no survivor

Quote from: Deuteronomy 3:3-6
So the LORD our God delivered into our hands Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining.
And we took all his cities at that time, there was not a city which we took not from them, threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside unwalled towns a great many.
And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city

For those new to math, threescore = 60... 60 cities... if that isn't genocide, I don't know what is...

More genocide in the bible:
Quote
And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them. Deuteronomy 7:2

And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them. Deuteronomy 7:16

Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword. Deuteronomy 13:15

But of the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth. Deuteronomy 20:16-17

And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword. Joshua 6:21

So smote all the country ... he left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the LORD God of Israel commanded. Joshua 10:40

Thus saith the LORD of hosts ... go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. 1 Samuel 15:2-3

Let us not forget about the flood... god personally kills everyone except for 9 people...  That isn't genocide?
1211  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Christianity is Poison on: April 28, 2016, 08:53:16 PM
Our Father in heaven literally wants us to look at Him like the loving, just, merciful, generous father that He is.

What makes you qualified to tell us what "our father in heaven" wants?

I have read the bible, and the god of Abraham was not a loving, just or merciful god... he was a jealous, vindictive, misogynistic, proslavery, homophobic and genocidal god... he was a god of fear, not a god of love... "The fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom", etc

I cannot believe that an omniscient god would change his entire demeanor over the course of only one thousand years... a god who knew all of time and space, would not change his mind... ever... he would have been perfect from the beginning... which, the god of the bible clearly is not
1212  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anti-Atheist Bigotry: Atheists Are As Distrusted As Rapists on: April 28, 2016, 05:47:17 PM
You are going to have to use your brain on this one a little. After all, I have repeated it over and over.

Isaac Newton formulated his 3rd Law. Before he formulated it, there were others who thought about it, and dismissed it because they thought it was too basic to need formulation as a law. Cause and effect is upheld by Newton's 3rd Law.

Now all you need is to understand that the universe is complex, be it from a scientific standpoint or not, and that universal entropy exists. Once you understand these things, you can combine them to find that God exists. If He didn't, at least one of these 3 (laws?) wouldn't exist.

The writeup of the proof would probably be more than Bitcointalk allows in a post. But, maybe not.

You could simply link the source of your information so we can debunk it... like this guy:
http://philosophytalk.org/community/blog/david-livingstone-smith/2015/04/do-natural-laws-prove-god-exists-new-wrinkle-old

Quote
So let’s accept ‘for the sake of the argument’ that (1) all causes produce their effects in conformity with the laws of nature, (2) laws require a lawmaker, and (3) only God could have made the laws of nature (leading to the conclusion that God exists)—and push this line of reasoning a little bit further. Clearly, if God made the laws of nature, then this happened, right? And if everything that happens conforms to the laws of nature, then God’s act of making the laws of nature must have conformed to the laws of nature too (because it’s something that happened). Now think about this for a moment and you’ll see how mind-twistingly weird it is. If it’s true that God’s act of making the laws of nature had to conform to the laws of nature, then the laws of nature had to exist before God made them! But that’s crazy, because nothing can exist before it existed.

None of us are stupid enough to believe that you created this, "3 laws prove God exists" idea on your own... you have never had an original idea, ever...

Please post the source of your misinformation... please?

Is it this article?

1213  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can you come up with a better Ten Commandments? on: April 28, 2016, 08:28:10 AM
I decided the morality of the ten commandments could be boiled down into, "Do not harm or deceive anyone"...
But, since everyone enjoys lists of 10, I decided to go a bit further and fill it out with some substance:

1. Do not harm or deceive anyone
2. Help those less fortunate
3. Identify and improve your own flaws and weaknesses
4. Be observant and considerate
5. Do not be greedy; never take more than you need
6. Think critically before making important decisions
7. Give people the benefit of the doubt; walk a mile in the other person's shoes
8. Lead by example
9. Be kinder to others than they are to you
10. Make the world a better place for our children

It may not be perfect, but I would argue that it is a better list than the bible

What do you think?

Can you come up with a better list, or improve upon what I've got going here?

You have a nice list of set of rules and regulations , but if you are saying that your list if better than the bible commandments then I definitely disagree with you.

How do you figure?

You prefer commandments like, "Don't worship other Gods", "Remember the sabbath and keep it holy", "Honor your father and mother", "Do not covet your neighbor's ass"?

At least I don't include thought-crimes in my list... Coveting is natural, it is not worthy of death... making an idol is not worthy of death... using gods name in vein, is not worthy of death... sorry, God fucked up... I can do better
If you are depending on what you believe then so be it. But there is also a commandment that say, Tempt not the Lord thy God and don't use His name in vain.

Which is sort of my point... the biblical commandments are dumb... the first 3-4 are about God being narcissistic (3 or 4 depending on whether you are a catholic or protestant)

The protestants and catholics can not even agree on which 10 are the real ones... And, on top of that... neither of them believe in the 10 which were written by God (the first tablets, which Moses destroyed, before re-writing them himself)

1214  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can you come up with a better Ten Commandments? on: April 28, 2016, 01:35:30 AM
1. Care for the earth and it will take care of us

2. To take to much without putting or giving back is death for everything else

3. The law shall be made by the human population once these laws are made nobody is above these laws not even kings and queens.

4. Laws can be changed every 25 years to fit with the times but must be made by the human population
once set nobody is above the law not even kings and queens..

5.Break the law and the police shall uphold these laws against anybody who breaks these laws

6.Public service workers who abuse his or her power onto others shall feel the law 2 times worse

7.It's a child's right to be cared for and educated till that child becomes an adult..

8.Animals must be treated with respect. Only kill them if there is a need to kill them with the least pain possible ..

9.Taxes must be paid by the most fortunate to help the poor and keep a good life system going..

10.Do unto others as you would have them do unto you..

BREAK THESE RULES AND YOU WILL BURN FOREVER Cheesy..  A JOKE ..YOU GO TO JAIL Grin

Not bad, even if 3&4 are basically the same thing... (don't worry, God repeated himself with "do not covet" split into 2 commandments too)

I didn't say I'd vote for the guy, but he was entertaining...  I liked the debate where they screwed up announcing everyone (Carson and Trump stood at the entrance dumbfounded), they even forgot Kasich completely... Stakeminers has created a new asset for PCC. The new Stakeminer asset is backed by our stake pool.
The asset will generate income which will be paid in Bitcoin each week to shareholders. One thousand (1,000) shares must be sold before weekly earnings will be distributed.
There will be a maximum of 160,000 shares, and each share's initial value is 5,000 PCC. Please note that due to a typo the asset says 400,000 shares, this is incorrect.
Please attach a message with your BTC address when purchasing this asset. For questions please contact us via email at: info (at) stakeminers.com or on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/StakeMinerscom-1627849564105692/ .

Excellent news! Leroy Fodor and Michael Zinck are in the process of fucking Filipino locals, thus Leroy would no doubt be eliminated from the gene pool by those who he'll no doubt con, allowing his wife, Katrina Fodor, to finally marry one of the fathers of her two children. HAHAHA

Sounds like this should be titled, "Dear Republicans", since you only seem to be talking to half of America...

I see your point. BUT, America was founded on the ideas of personal liberty and limited government. Right now those ideas don't seem very welcome in the Democratic party. They don't seem that welcome in the GOP either, but at least reasonable candidates do appear occasionally.

If Jefferson (a Democrat) was on the ticket, I'd be voting Democrat. I'm not a partisan voter in general, I just haven't seen any pro-freedom candidates in the Democratic party for awhile.

If Democrats were open to taking a Libertarian turn, I might be open to reconsidering, but instead they've decided to go in a Venezuelan direction courtesy of Sanders.

As many problems as Trump has caused for the republicans, Bernie has caused for the democrats...

Nobody even wanted to run against Hillary because she was practically guaranteed the nomination before it even began... The fact that Bernie, who the media deems an evil commie, has nearly half of the democrats behind him says a lot (not counting the fact that Hillary cheats left and right, if she was not playing dirty, Bernie might even be leading)

Part of the reason Trump is doing so well is because his competition sucks balls... I'm no fan of Trump, but Ben Carson, and Marco Roboto were complete jokes... I liked Christie before he dropped out... perhaps Paul Ryan or Ron Paul, but they don't seem to want the job... I'd vote for Trump before Cruz, he's a joke too... at least Trump is entertaining... we could have a party as we watch the world burn

For me there are only two principals that matter

1) Treat others as you would have then treat you.
2) Before doing anything, consider if every other person on the planet did the same thing what would the impact be.

The first is already written everywhere as the golden rule, all religions have the golden rule

The second one is simply Kant's test for Universalizability
Good stuff, but I prefer a slightly different twist - an Aboriginal moral philosophy... IIRC, it goes something like this:
Do my actions reflect the greatest good for the greatest number of people?

I prefer this because it is a more positive outlook... you are seeking to do good, rather than simply prevent harm (sometimes there is a dichotomy)

Most of those come directly from the Bible. The only change you made is compiling them into one list (there are commandments other than the 10 commandments) and removed any reference to God as well as non-secular (ie. love the Lord your God) commandments.

The bible says a lot of things, both good and bad... I certainly did not get my list from the bible... the bible got its list from secular society... the bible is clearly a compilation of stories that were already popular in the Mediterranean region, long before anyone compiled them into a single book...

The source of the wisdom is not important... I'm not going to claim there is nothing good in the bible, but there is way too much evil in the bible to call it a good book... it's not a good book at all, and most definitely not written by a god... a child could do better... watch me
