261  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How would a vendor and a dealer connect with each other for BTC means of payment on: March 09, 2024, 11:56:28 PM
So now, what is the state of security measures towards vendors who makes it obvious and publicly that they accepts Bitcoin transaction as alternative means of payments?
For an investor, Your level of security and consciousness about it has to be increased or steadily be increasing and alongside the money you make. Bitcoins can easily be stolen but the whole process for stolen bitcoins will be much more easier if the holders and investors in Bitcoin are very careless people.

I do not think it will be very risky if as a vendor you decide to put out a sign that says that you accept Bitcoin as a means of payment in your establishment.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 09, 2024, 11:15:06 PM
It is very difficult for Bayern Munich to win the league this season. because it has fallen behind a point that is quite far from leverkusen. with 10 points behind and 9 matches remaining, it is impossible for Munich to pass leverkusen's point. in addition, this season leverkusen is very difficult to beat, it is difficult to lose points from its opponents.
Bayern Munich may have lost the opportunity to win the Bundesliga this season but the opportunity in the Champions League is still very intact and for some players who just join them like Harry kane,  they would want to have the record of the most goal scorer in the Bundesliga and win that trophy as well for the first time in his career. If Thomas Tuchel can continue like this with his team to the end of the season winning in all games in all competition and also by a very large goal margin, maybe his job will be secured and he may be allowed to have one more season.
263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA: the power of little beginning on: March 09, 2024, 11:04:40 PM
It was when I started being active in this forum I noticed that there is something called Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) that enable someone buy Bitcoin even with small amount of money on a regular basis. I embraced it and it has changed my life!
DCA makes the process of investing easier and without DCA method many investors will not be able to accumulate enough bitcoins like they do before from single large deposits. Many solo investors outside of forum may not be aware of the method of growing their bitcoin portfolio by little deposits made occasionally. DCA will make accumulating and increasing the bitcoins you have easier and will make investment less of a burden. With DCA method too, the risk of losing money just invested and never wanting to invest again is put in check because an investor via DCA will be able to control and reduces looses from investment.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 09, 2024, 10:47:32 PM
For sure there are tons of people who had lost their bet with Ngannou, including me.  Grin
After the fight, Anthony Joshua advised Francis not to quit boxing because he lost his two first fights. Anthony Joshua Just like some other professionals in the sports must really see a future for Francis hence the reason why they are advising him to keep boxing. He is richer than he was because the compensation for loosing in the fight is still huge for him, but he may not be happy knowing that he lost his two games. As much as we may criticize Francis for losing in this fight also I believe that he has gained some more experience than he had before and that starting by fighting Tyson Fury and then now Anthony Joshua who are two goof fighters, will have an influence on his confidence.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A call to self-examining our gambling habit. on: March 09, 2024, 10:35:55 PM
Don't you think so?
Many gamblers Will not even be sincere with themselves self even if they call them self to self examination to tell themselves the truth that they are addicts and need help. During self examination, Insincere gamblers have turned it into a time to create alibi for their gambling addiction and reasons for them to continue. As a gambler, Self Examination can help you if you are truthfully a sincere kind of person.

During self examination, you do not need to be still or sit in a meditative position, self examination can be done simply in the mind.
266  Economy / Economics / Re: When luxury becomes a necessity. on: March 08, 2024, 10:48:53 PM
Have you bought something that people feel is rather too expensive and that you could have purchased a lower version of it?
People can only assume that they know what you want, but you alone know what is best for you. I have experienced this and my feeling before after this was that I feel almost bad because they me feel like I got something for too much of an expensive price it gives me a feeling like I was cheated. I moved on from feeling like this to understanding that some of this people who act as though they would have gotten something cheaper, may actually not be able to get it cheaper, it is just bluff. Buy good things, so you will not have to buy them again.
267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 08, 2024, 10:42:47 PM
My estimation of a chance of winning is 65% for AJ and 35% for Ngannou.
Who is really the underdog in this fight? is it Francis Ngannou or Anthony Joshua? I bet many would say that it is Francis, but because pof his very good fight against Fury, he does not feel like the underdog in the fight. The much talked about fight will kick off soon and I can imagine the pressure and tension in the mind of both fighters, they will be wanting to keep the balance.

I fear for AJ, Francis is a good fight, but I hope AJ can win.
268  Economy / Economics / Re: Our decision making is responsible for the outcomes in our ways on: March 07, 2024, 06:17:10 PM
This is a kind of guy that feels relaxed when he has an attractive amount of money in his bank account and then feels he is only supposed to go after making more money only when he is running out from the one already accumulated and spent.
Making money has to be a continuous process, This is why even the wealthiest of men are still trying to establish more businesses and more investments to keep their income steady. Any individual who gets comfortable when they have some money to last them for a short time is not content but financially immature, because money needs to be spent in the pursuit of more. Any moment that you become financially comfortable, you indirectly are becoming ready for poverty.
269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Massive withdrawal of Bitcoin on: March 07, 2024, 02:45:33 PM
Wouldn't this continues practice of withdrawing and selling off whenever the price skyrockets going to slow the volatility of Bitcoin to continue skyrocketing? Since the price automatically starts experiencing a dip after every massive withdrawal.
Do you expect people not to make withdrawals of their bitcoins just so that the value doesn't dip? You have to understand that investors set targets for themselves to take profit, and with increase in the value of Bitcoins, the target for some investors have been met.

It would be impossible to control the withdrawal of bitcoins by investors whenever there is an increase in the value of bitcoins.
270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best way to go about making a crypto casino. on: March 06, 2024, 11:57:06 PM
So I am wondering if anyone here knows a place where we could whip up a simple MVP crypto casino to be done at a cost effective price,
When you want to venture into a business like establishing a crypto casino, we have to know that it will require a lot of money and that has to be something that you are prepared for. Some casinos trapped their customers because of their very beautiful user interface and well structured platform that they must have spent a lot of money to achieve because of the use of the best developers, if you intend to create a casino that can contend or compete with these casinos already, you have to know that there has to be willingness to spend money.

271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indirect victims of gambling addiction on: March 06, 2024, 11:52:04 PM
Of course, there are many indirect victims of gambling addiction. Can you add more?
Employers can also be indirect victims of the problems that a gambling addict brings. I remember a long time ago when I once had a gambling addict working for me who I felt I could control, and then I gave him money to go get materials for work for me but he ended up using up all the money for gambling, playing virtual games and squandering it all. I was a victim to his gambling addiction as his employer, because it forced me to spend my personal money to get the materials required for delivery of the customers job. Indirectly as the employer of an addict, I became a victim.
272  Economy / Economics / Re: Why are some countries being sentimental with bitcoin and the cryptos at large? on: March 06, 2024, 11:45:48 PM
Or they're just being awkward from embracing digital developments?
Do you know that regardless of the independence status of some countries, they are still under the influence of the opinions of some other countries that maybe colonized them, or they look to as superior to them.

Sincerely, the opinions some government have toward bitcoin is not personally founded, they are sometimes the adopted opinions of some other government.
273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you worried about the US Government moving BTC? on: March 06, 2024, 11:08:48 PM
~
I try not to concern myself and worry about the things that I cannot control, and this example is one good example of the situations that I cannot control, hence so not worry myself. The US government can move BTC in any quantity that they like, it is no concern of mine.

Concerning yourself with things you cannot control os distracting, and can sway you from the focus of accumulating your own bitcoins.
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Discrepancies in Casino Experiences on: March 05, 2024, 02:11:33 PM
For some of these people, they didn't default on the terms and conditions looking at their screenshot evidence(I know that it is just a few cases). How does it make you feel knowing you've had a smooth experience while others have encountered such challenges?

I don't exactly feel lucky all the time but I know that from my people's skills,  some actually defaulted in some way or another and they may not entirely be truthful while they are making their complaints.

Also it may sound superstitious, but some people are naturally carriers of bad luck, what works smoothly for everyone will always pose a challenge to them, so it may not be the casino, but the gambler who naturally just has bad luck.
275  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: A method to still use BINANCE for exchanging Cryptocurrency to fiat. on: March 04, 2024, 09:47:08 PM
I wonder why you people just stick with Binance like it is the only exchange that has P2P, but which is not.
There are many faithfuls to Binance who are still sticking around to see if P2P services will be fully restored, and it could be for the reason that Binance has been very reliable, and because of how long it took for them to develop some level of trust for Binance, it is not so easy to just move to another exchange with P2P.

The old thread is about 'sell crypto' for fiat while this thread is about 'withdrawal' of fiat.
Thank you for pointing out the difference.

for Me na just to look for another alternative like kucoin and save the stress of going a long process of trading wey sopos be easy something.
What if the government focuses on the other alternative exchanges knowing that the P2P traders who they blame for currency speculation will move there? Will you keep completing KYC on every other exchange pointed out as an alternative, and sharing your important details?

We have our local board for discussion of all issues relating to our country, and from your post history you already know this because you have posted there. Why are you bringing this discussion here?
277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just a friendly Bitcoin friend reminder - High price = more scams on: March 04, 2024, 01:28:45 PM
I never click on any links and all my coins are stored in long-term cold storage, so I know they are out of reach, but many people have hot wallets and they might be a target.
As a notice, you have to know that these scammers are also individuals around us who may look normal during the day, but at night take up a second identity, or who look normal without a computer or a mobile phone from where they scam people. You have to be generally careful with people both online and offline. There was a story the other day shared by one of our forum members about how he saw a close family member trying to check his phone

Quote
At some point a cousin said to me that... Let me see your beautiful phone so I gave it to him, then I watched to see what he was doing in the phone. I found out he was trying to penetrate on my wallets but unlucky for him that they are all on passwords and at his notice that I am being observant, he began to point out those wallet Apps in my phone that... What App is this and this and this? What is it used for? And suspiciously, he was only after knowing what my wallets Apps are such as the Binance exchange, Ethereum and what I uses them for.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5487374.0

These scammers online are sometimes our close friends, family offline. If they have no remorse stealing from people online, that evil heart will grow colder and one day will have no remorse if he decides to steal from you.

Be as vigilant offline as you are online.
278  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / A method to still use BINANCE for exchanging Cryptocurrency to fiat. on: March 04, 2024, 09:47:23 AM
Many of us use binance P2p regularly, and since P2P have been directly suspended for NGN, it has forced many people to other exchanges like kucoin, Okx etc.

I have heard rumors of Binance exchange still working fine for exchanging to NGN and withdrawals, but through another option that is not often used because it is not known by many people. I tried out this method and it worked really fine without any challenges. I will like to share it with you my brothers and sisters.

Follow my guide
After opening your binance application, Click on "Trade" and then convert any of the cryptocurrency to NGN. In my case, I swapped some BTC to USDT to NGN.

Click on "fiat" among the options, after you have converted your cryptocurrency to NGN

This is the next page you will see

Click on "withdraw"

Your NGN balance will be reflected here

Click "continue" on the bank transfer option to move to the next page.

This is the next page

After putting in the amount you wish to withdraw, You add account number to receive, and as usual your account name have to match the name of your binance. which means you should not input another person's account details.
Click on "continue"  to be directed to an available merchant.

A merchant will pick up the transaction and be given a countdown time for him to credit your fiat account so you can release the NGN to them, almost the same as the P2P.

The entire process can be done and completed in less than 20 minutes.

The process works just fine, you can confirm that I tried this method from the date of and time of my transaction, and it was successful.

279  Other / Meta / Re: Is the forum running slow? on: March 03, 2024, 10:40:48 PM
It's been taking a while for the threads to load. At first I thought it was my connection, but I see that when I access other sites they load right away. Now I get this message.
I experienced it too, and if you have not brought it up, I would never have known because I already had it in my mind that it was a bad reception because that is often the problem in have my place of residence.

There was a warning in the "news" line a few days ago that the forum would be closed for a few hours for maintenance and bug fixes. Maybe this event is the reason for such work of the forum.
I remembered this too, but I was thinking it was done already.

I am glad everything is smooth now.

Please let me know what you think a beginner should know and where they can receive the knowledge that will help them become an expert, as well as how long it will take me to get the hang of the complete trading technique. Links are greatly appreciated.
I will like to repeat what I have said sometime ago here, know the kind of learning that is good for you. If you know that you are the type that can easily learn online, then follow up with the links online that you will be referred to. If you also sincerely know that learning online is something that you have always found difficult, then find an offline academy near you to learn from. It will be a waste of time for you to be trying to learn trading online when you know you will find it difficult.
