They didn't know it was going to blow back this hard in this Olympics — that the truth will come out.
Do you think that they care?

This begs the question why a lot of folks were hopeful that our athletes will somehow perform magic at the Olympics against participants from other countries that are well managed and motivated to win?
I guess we were just hopeful because we understood the potentials that our athletes have and know that if these athletes have proper training and equipment, as well as support from our government, they are up to standard to compete with other athletes from around the world in any major competition.

I cannot truly blame Nigerian athletes for not winning any medals in the Olympics. I can only blame the body that was in charge of the Olympics for Nigeria. it was from one disaster to another, from failure to register athletes to failure to provide them with what they needed to train. It was incompetence on the grand scale. Yesterday I read a report where the chairman said "they didn't have enough time to prepare".
Can you imagine that? It's laughable.
Did you hear or read the report about the Nigerian government claiming that they spent N12 billion for the Olympics?

Read in Disgust

They spent N12bn, and Chukwuebuka Enekwechi could not get a second outfit his size, or Ese Ukpeseraye had to borrow a track bike for an event she was expected to win a medal in.

Congratulations to her but that's not what we should be celebrating because there's no results for the award she's winning. We can't be losing and yet getting praises,
Hope she retains her job though, that she doesn't get fired as Poseiro was after taking the super eagles close to becoming African champions. This coach has achieved a new record, she deserves some accolades but at the same time has to be retained and charged with a bigger responsibility of taking D'Tigress further than they came in the next Olympics. We are proud of them and have high hopes for them.
145  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Benefits of Being Early in Crypto and Protecting Against Scams on: August 11, 2024, 10:34:19 PM
To be early on a crypto project could probably bring you massive gains.
Even if you are not early to a crypto like bitcoin, you can still profit and benefit
from it if you show dedication and commitment with investing and hodling.

If you start thinking that you are late to invest in bitcoin it may discourage you from even starting in the first place that is why you need to abolish that thought and concentrate on stacking up since you know that you're a bit late.

let it motivate you rather than discourage you.
146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Traditional gambling style without a casino on: August 11, 2024, 08:46:07 PM
Have you ever tried something like this and gambled without a casino?
Many times, even before we became acquainted with what casinos are, there were many games like this that we played and sometimes staked money to make players more serious.

Care has to be taken, though, because there is always the potential to begin to gamble on every potential event and every game that can just be enjoyed, and even unnecessary things that do not require you to gamble. Individuals who have become addicted to gambling like this @OP and to almost every event will not find it hard to become addicted gamblers when they discover online casinos.
147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Every action, sometimes, doesn't require an opposite reaction. on: August 11, 2024, 08:21:13 PM
Why do people become tyrants after losing everything in them? First of all, we have a grand rule in gambling -- casinos may not tell you about it but, you gotta know this; In the game, you can either win or lose. Whatever happens, don't lose yourself!
It becomes troubling to see that people allow their emotions to control them. Read the illustration below for further comprehension.
Some of the frustration that people let out after losing a bet comes not only from the bet they lost but also from the societal pressure that they feel from the economic hardship around them. Many people are really frustrated, and they take gambling as their way out of this frustration. Most of them use gambling as a way out of this frustration, and when they lose, they become prone to letting out their emotions.

If you're a casino owner or owner of a gambling house, you have to understand that these kinds of people who let their emotions get the better of them will always exist and come to your casino or gambling place to gamble, and you should have adequate security to ensure that these individuals do not become a nuisance to other customers in the building and also so they do not destroy your property.
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Sport Discussion || Current Topic: Africans at 2024 Paris Olympics. on: August 11, 2024, 07:55:20 PM
So, from all indications, he is blaming poor preparation by the former sports minister. We would see how prepared Nigeria will be in the next competition.
As usual, it is all blame again. We will see how athletes will perform under him in the next Olympics games in 2028. Will he perform better than the former leadership, whom he blames?

Some African countries have made the continent proud, like Letsile Tebogo of Botswana, who won gold in 200m;
He made history by helping Botswana win their first ever medal, one of the biggest records of the Olympics for a small country. Noah Lyles was overconfident and arrogant to the other athletes he was against. He did not get the gold, blamed it on COVID, but I think that was just another excuse. Letsile Tebogo has a new task to make sure he proves to the world in the next Olympics that he did not win the gold by mistake.

Oscar Bobb will probably start GW1 in Foden's absence and then be benched for the rest of the season. Avoid him!
He will not have enough game time because of Foden, but he will not be benched the whole season because he really impressed in the preseason. Pep will most likely turn him into an impact sub.

In between, do you guys think that Grealish will be able to claim his position from Doku when he returns fully?
150  Economy / Economics / Re: You need to become rich soon becouse world getting harder on: August 11, 2024, 06:51:49 PM
Get rich then you don't care what the goverments do let the goverments do what they want you have your best passport and best human rights that's called" MONEY. "
If you think that being rich will make you care less about government policies and actions, you lie! Being rich can be a temporary state, and you can easily become broke again if government policies or actions do not favor your business or the thing that has given you some level of financial freedom.

The goal should be to be wealthy, not just rich.
151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's there a possibility of working in a physical casino and not gamble on: August 11, 2024, 01:27:32 PM
Is it not possible to work in a casino and not gamble?
It is possible to work in a casino or gambling house and never gamble.

There are individuals who work in bars, in places where alcohol is served, and these people do not drink alcohol; some, surprisingly, have never tasted it. There are some others who sell illegal drugs for recreational use to people but never use the drugs themselves. This is the same situation with people who work in casinos. Not everyone who works in a casino will become a gambler because some people are really not just interested in gambling, or rather, they are just interested in working to make their own money, and they find fun in other activities.
152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What if Gamblers had to go to Gambling school to learn? on: August 11, 2024, 01:11:42 PM
What if there was a legit gambling school that teach responsible gambling for maximum benefit in nearly every country that have gambling citizens, will it help to make gambling a profitable career or investment for potential new and old time gamblers?
If there is a school that teaches responsible gambling, they should be responsible enough to point out to the gamblers in their school that gambling should not be a career choice or path but rather something that should be done for fun. A gambling school to really learn responsible gambling can actually help in reducing the number of irresponsible gamblers and reducing addiction.

Also, will the study or reading of books on gambling theories and strategies help to brush up one's understanding of how games are won more than videos and podcasts would?
This will depend on which one we understand the most. If you are someone who is very good with reading and reading in between the lines and actually understands reading books and gambling theories better, it will be more helpful to you than watching videos or podcasts.

154  Economy / Economics / Re: how to inform your family about your source of income on: August 10, 2024, 11:58:50 PM
I know some people working online find it hard to decide whether to let their family know about their income and its source. this problem is one of the major problem that youth working online in some countries are facing. so today we are going to talk about this.
As long as you are not involved in anything illegal, you do not need to be concerned about the opinions of other people about how you make your own money. Just as this popular proverb says, people will only demand to know your source of income when you are rich, but never your source of income when you are poor. This is the irony of life.

If you are too concerned, based on your society, that online jobs are not acceptable, you may just decide to open up a small business that is physical so that people can see that that is what you do and then get their attention away from you.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Sport Discussion || Current Topic: Africans at 2024 Paris Olympics. on: August 10, 2024, 11:53:25 PM
So far so good. Ghana, Cameroon and Nigeria has not won any Medal in the Paris Olympics 2024. This is the worst sport outing in Nigeria. Zero Medal won by Nigeria in the whole Olympics is a very big shame to the country. And I think after the games, Nigerias sport management and ministry will reobserve themselves where is wrong so they can put things in order. And the only thing that can make a country to lose out is in an big evident like this corruption and nothing more
We had 88 athletes in the competition, and although Tobi Amusan came close, it is still official that we have no medals to celebrate from the Olympics.

Five Nigerians have actually won medals in the Olympics, but they were not representing Nigeria.

Their names are: Yemisi Ogunleye with gold in the shot put representing Germany; Annette Echikunwoke with silver in the women's hammer throw representing the USA; Samu Omorodion with gold for the Spain football team; Salwa Eid Naser with silver representing Bahrain; and Michael Olise with France.

It is a very sad situation.

I will use your method to see if I can make a win. If not then I will know it is my bad luck that prohibits me from winning a prediction contest.
The opposite of good luck does not always have to be bad luck; it can also be "no luck."

It doesn't have to be called bad luck when you don't win; if you have never won a prediction contest, you can simply call it no luck.
157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Regarding sports betting, how do you do your analysis if u don't have much time? on: August 10, 2024, 11:20:37 PM
Regarding sports betting, how do you do your analysis if you don't have much time?
Do not wait until the day before or the day of the game for you to make your analysis of what you think the outcome will be. There are usually long durations between each sporting week for you to make your analysis. At the end of one sporting week, start making your analysis for the next week based on the fixtures.

If you make your analysis early, you will not be under any pressure, and there's a higher chance of your predictions being better and more accurate because of the absence of pressure and enough time for you to reevaluate your options.
158  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotional management during a bearish market on: August 10, 2024, 11:03:18 PM
~
The strategy to trade the bearish market may be different from the strategy to trade a market that is bullish. A new trader to the market should first understand their strengths and know if they understand the bullish market or bearish market more, because understanding your strengths will help you, as a new trader, progress in trading.

While trading in a bearish market gets more risky, then it's better to just take a break from trading for some time and get back to it when the market recovers. That is for amateurs in trading, but if you are a professional one, you should know already how to get rid with losses during a bearish market.
Professional traders are able to identify opportunities in both the bearish and bullish market trend. This expertise come with time, and not something a new trader can just develop instantly from the first few days of trading.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The advantage of online gambling | Microgambling on: August 10, 2024, 10:37:26 PM
If we were playing on a horse racing house, a betting shop or a casino there would have been minimums of at least 2.5$ on most games. Sometimes even higher. Sometimes casinos would let minimum spins for slots at 0.2$ but still on the slot you have to wager dozens of times to get anything so it's not really a fair comparison. Physical casinos would only let you bet low amounts on a game you have to lose a lot to get anything back. While for other games the minimums are 5$ or so.
Physical casinos will have a higher minimum for gambling because they may have more operational costs involving rentage for property if the property they occupy is not owned by them, and then cost to settle the numerous staffs needed to keep the physical casino operational, especially if it is a big place. If Physical casinos allow very small amounts for gambling, at the end of a business year, the profit they would have realized will not be sufficient for the trouble they have had.
160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Consequences of greed on: August 10, 2024, 10:24:43 PM
What I want to say is that it's greed that made the predictor of the game to lose his chance of winning 15 million naira instead of winning along side his friend. So have you given anyone a booking code and he won then you lose?
It may not actually be greed; it is just his own betting technique that has most likely worked for them before. I know a specific sport's better who has a method of eliminating some of the options from his original bet choices and replaying the other previously played games again, and it can go on until he wins.

To me, this is a case of the predictor being unlucky.
