261  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New rank up system? on: April 01, 2018, 01:37:31 PM
I just 2 days here and I already know the requirements to go up rank, but there is something different today with the existence of new system like fmerit, karma, politeness, etc. does the new system have an effect on raising rank or is it just an april fool's day joke?

I'm missing one more: aqasta (asking questions answered several times already ). It's only few hours and there's about 10 posts similar to yours.

CAN'T YOU GUYS DO SOME SEARCH BEFORE YOU START ASKING?

I was surprised as well. All I had to do was put in google:

I've been having issues matching the serial numbers to the stickers on the devices I thought that too about the last few digits however some of my serial numbers share the last few digits and none match the stickers at all  Huh:
Code:
/dev/ttyUSB0 - FutureBit_FutureBit_Moonlander_2_3e8f26157a48e71189f626920d6e317d
/dev/ttyUSB1 - FutureBit_FutureBit_Moonlander_2_c6c19e18505fe711ada0600a3f3d1008
/dev/ttyUSB3 - FutureBit_FutureBit_Moonlander_2_22c4d13f4c5fe711977d5f0a3f3d1008
/dev/ttyUSB4 - FutureBit_FutureBit_Moonlander_2_ce1d16ae8c48e71195a826920d6e317d
/dev/ttyUSB2 - FutureBit_FutureBit_Moonlander_2_f20ededd7f48e7119f5b1b920d6e317d

yea I can do that, probably not till tomorrow though. I'm really hoping the new hub turns up sooner rather than later

The numbers are not related unfortunately. The sticker on the back is the actual serial number, and what bfgminer shows is the UUID coded in the hardware. For some reason how the UUID is generated the last digits are sometimes the same, but the first 10 digits or so are always unique to each stick. You can match these first few digits to each serial number on the back.
I must be missing or mis interpreting something here, because i still cannot figure out which code belongs to which MLD :S

Do we have to convert it to decimal? if so, which part? When looking at the above UUID, which relates to which miner in the picture:

And how is it matched?

I understand there is no relation between UUID and the number on the sticker.

What you can do is plug single one. Check the UUID with bfgminer and mark that stick using your own system ( e.g. using marker rewrite the sticker to UUID, or add new sticker  ...).
Do the same with all of them one by one.

264  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is exchange's wallet structure? on: March 31, 2018, 07:41:49 AM
The exchange will control the private key to all of the coins (be it bitcoin, or some other altcoin) on deposit at the exchange along with having ownership of fiat on deposit and they will make an entry in their database once a trade takes place.

Exchanges will generate deposit addresses for each customer for each coin.
How to do that?

And how about deals occured in exchange?

What's your point?
Trading on exchanges is actualy off-chain (there is no real transaction between seller and buyer)

It's more like: You open an account, make deposit and this deposit is turned into some sort of "credit".  Traders are exchanging these credits.
Once you want to withdraw, this amount is deducted from your credit and via blockchain transfered to your address.

I'm interested if you'd care to get in touch. I'd be willing to pay 50 USD. Let me know what you think.

Sent you PM.
It's now 16 mechs and one free mech bay so you can purchase additional mech (there is enough c-bills and exp. points to tune it at your will).

50 USD sounds fine but you are brand new member so I require either escrow or you to go first.

To by me taky zajimalo..
Wink

Smiley

Ahoj,
chtěl bych Vám představit první český coin - je to EmotiCoin - Více informací zde: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=496129.0;all
Připravuji českou verzi stránek na emoticoin.cz, brzy budou v provozu.

jak to dopadlo? udrzel se?
tepve tu zacinam a ucim se  Cheesy
ale s tim ceskym coinem me to opravdu zajima  Smiley

atd...

@duplo99 to si děláš srandu.

And now really, gambling is about having some fun, not about getting rich.

Fully agree, I see it same.
This topic started as quite innocent experiment (though it's proven this is not working I accept OP want's to explore it personaly) but later turned into "c'mon guys I have working solution, try it as well ..." This is how I see it now and what bugs me.
He could lure some members to try it and lose their funds. I don't like that.

I don't lure any member to try it but my statistic and my own experiment show that this strategy really works.
Also 0.0001..0.005BCH is not big amount for lose because you can't be reach max bet.. This is fact

You don't?

Topic name:  Martingale for win ..

....
You can try this method.
...

both sounds like luring to me.

Luckily for you this site has very low max bet so I agree it won't ruin almost anybody.
But it's not about amounts. This is about principle. You're bragging here about your winings and intentionally didn't mention there are series you lost (who knows what else you hide).
Others could go and try to apply your "working" method at other sites with much higher max bets eventually resulting in their bankruptcy.

Nevermind. Think I'm done here, won't bother you anymore.
Wish you luck but also asking you to refrain of advising others to try it and similar.

Ok then, let's do some quick calc.
0.0001 + 0.0002 + 0.0004 + 0.0008 + 0.0016 + 0.0032 + 0.005 = 0.0113 (your total bet)
How much you won? My guess 0.0099 (1.98 x 0.005)

So you sent them 0.0113 and they sent you back 0.0099 (not mentioning the tx fees)
How is this profit? I don't get it.

Your calculation is right!

I explain..
Profit of this series 0.0099-0.0113= - 0.0014 BCH.
Fees 1 cent each bet.

What you think next?.. Smiley
Yes, winnings series.. and -0.0014 BCH was been changed to positive profit.
well!

I don't follow.
Is this mean you are playing in series and once you reach the max bet ( and you are in loss that series ) then you just reset your stats? Or the next series you begin with bet equal to previous series loss?
Isn't that sufficient proof your system is not working?
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale for win, my own experience on: March 30, 2018, 06:51:40 AM
I've tried that strategy and it works for a short time only. It still ended my plays to losses because it's running online. Even there's only two sides to choose from and you stick on that specific side for 40x, I was shocked that it just continuously picked the other side.

Report.
I playing here more and more.
What you think friends?
No lost!
Only winning.. loss has been max 6 in row.

Because is really provably fair system!

You can try this method.
Regards.

Sometimes it takes awhile. But one of these days ... BAM ... and you'll be like  Shocked,  Cry
There is no question whether it will happen. The only question is when this is going to happen.
True is people needs to get hit hard to learn a lesson.

Just keep going.   Wink

EDIT
Question: What did you do after 6 loses in a row? The next bet must have been over the max. bet limit.
I'm starting to feel this is just shill topic to promote the site.

Dude,
see it
1 bet = 0.0001 lost (even)
2 bet = 0.0002 lost (even)
3 bet = 0.0004 lost (even)
4 bet = 0.0008 lost (even)
5 bet = 0.0016 lost (odd) no need change!!!
6 bet = 0.0032 lost (even)

7 bet = 0.005 WON!

I think 6 lose in row because I changed bet #5 to ODD.

this is not shill topic.

Ok then, let's do some quick calc.
0.0001 + 0.0002 + 0.0004 + 0.0008 + 0.0016 + 0.0032 + 0.005 = 0.0113 (your total bet)
How much you won? My guess 0.0099 (1.98 x 0.005)

273  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am getting a hardware wallet ! - How do check if its been tampered with? on: March 30, 2018, 01:05:35 AM
Hi guys
I will be getting a hardware wallet in 2 weeks or so, will probably be going for the Nano as it supports more coins. However how can I know that the box hasnt been opened and re-sealed or anything before I got it ?  I mean anything can happen in the warehouse from the online shop im buying from, or at airport customs.. etc..

To my understanding there is a piece of paper in there with my seed words, how can I know that nobody has those ?

No, you won't receive the seed (if so then it's almost 100% positive someone already saw it, wrote it down and have access to that wallet).
Seed will be generated brand new once you first start the device.
274  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Bitcoin "missing" from my Ledger Nano S Wallet on: March 30, 2018, 12:53:52 AM
When I open my wallet it displays the balance I deposited 2 days ago.

When I copied my "receive" address from the wallet and searched using that it showed 0.

Hmmm.
Once deposit address is used, ledger app will provide you with brand new deposit address (this is usual approach to help you keep some level of privacy).
So i think you are actually copying this new (not yet used) address.

Try this:
In ledger app click on that incoming transaction (to see more details) and there is button with magnifying glass icon. Clicking on it should open your browser (by default it opens blockchain.info i think) showing you the transaction details.
Check if the receiving address is the same one you are copying.

...
I connected with an Evercoin rep and shared with them my "receive" address for my DCR wallet and they confirmed no transactions connected to that address.  But my DCR wallet shows 0 balance.
...

Just to clarify: by "my receive address for my DCR" you mean their address where you should sent those DCR?

...
I'm wondering if it is some sort of glitch on my DCR wallet.  However, I found this DCR blockchain search (https://explorer.dcrdata.org) and searched using my "receive" address from my DCR wallet...of course it shows a 0 balance, but also showed no transactions.  Yet, when inside my DCR wallet the ONLY activity it shows is me receiving the original DCR balance I deposited in it.  No transaction out.

This starts to be quite confusing (maybe the same issue as in first point ... address was already used so you are actually copying new, not yet used address).

Could be some glitch indeed. I'm not decred user so can't tell but all wallets should have option to rescan database or something similar.
Try to find that and use it.

EDIT: it really looks like you have never sent them those DCRs (for reasons unknown) thus they didn't sent BTC to you.

275  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Bitcoin "missing" from my Ledger Nano S Wallet on: March 29, 2018, 11:08:13 PM
It's better to continue in this thread.

Do you have any proof (tx id) you sent those DCR to Evercoin? Did that transaction went through (is confirmed/valid)?
If so I think you to contact their customer support ( if there's any). Provide them with detils: Here's tx where I sent you XXX DCR, you supposed to send YYY BTC to ZZZZ address but funds never arrived ....

BUT there is still something I don't understand.
You said you can see your small BTC deposit (the one 2 days old) in ledger app but when you put that address into explorers it says 0 balance. Is that correct?

I'm still convinced you should try to use your ledger with electrum as its much more user friendly IMO ( it gives you better coin control ... you can choose the change address, see actual balance of each address etc.)
276  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Bitcoin "missing" from my Ledger Nano S Wallet on: March 29, 2018, 10:20:19 PM
1. & 2. I acknowledge

As of pub key.
After you log into app. You need to CLICK on that "my account" (or whatever name you changed it to) .. then you should see the "account settings" ( top right )

Note: you can have multiple accounts within single device

Great, so using the Xpub I could see the small balance that I just deposited.  At least that has been verified as real (yikes).

Now to solve the problem of the missing initial transaction...

Well, if explorers (those 3 sites) says there is no balance then there are no funds on that address.

To me it looks like the transfer from Evercoin actually never happended. I have no experience with them. Have you received any email or anything with transaction proof?
I find unacceptable they did not provide you with any logs.

278  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Bitcoin "missing" from my Ledger Nano S Wallet on: March 29, 2018, 09:46:40 PM
OK just so I'm making myself clear, I signed onto my Chrome App Ledger Wallet Bitcoin, clicked receive, and Copied that address....

Thats correct procedure.

...
When I search using that address on the above 3 sites it notes that there have been 0 transactions and a 0 balance.

If all three sites says there is no balance then there is no balance indeed (something went wrong)

...
However, as I said I DO see a tiny balance (that I just transferred 2 days ago) on that wallet.
...

I find that hard to believe (the fact funds are visible in your app bu tnot at the blokchain explorers).
Nevertheless try the electrum as I said before.
But given the result of those 3 blockexplorers Im pretty sure the funds are not there.

...
What I do not see is the BTC from the DCR transaction.

This is making less and less sense to me...please help!

Q: that small balance (2 days old). Is also not visible on those 3 sites?

Just some idea. There is some virus which is able to recognize you are copying BTC address (and replace it wit hakers one)... double check the address you are copying is same as the one you paste.
279  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Bitcoin "missing" from my Ledger Nano S Wallet on: March 29, 2018, 09:20:36 PM
Excuse me for my extreme ignorance.  But by searching my "address" do you simply mean the address I use when I want to receive funds on the Ledger Nano S wallet?
...
Yes.

...
For example, I buy BTC on Coinbase, then Send them to my Ledger BTC Wallet...is that Send address the one you're referring to?
No, that sending address is not yours. You should check the one that supposed to receive the coins.

I would suggest you to use electrum with your ledger wallet (there is option to link it with HW wallets).
