263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE ORDER OF ALT PUMPS?? on: June 21, 2020, 08:33:23 PM
This theory of your is totally wrong and if it is actually true, then the market moves will be very easy to predict. It might have happened in 2017 and it doesn't mean it will be like that always. Best you could do is hop in on carefully when coins with large market cap pumps. Those small caps or micro caps coins can be easily manipulated might cost a lot of loses.
264  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: NSFW - [Idea] TikTok for Adults monetized with Crypto currencies. on: June 21, 2020, 06:30:19 PM
There already are countless services that help sex workers to connect with audience over the Internet. Crypto isn't competitive here as long as fiat payments are as popular as they are - when users don't care about privacy, there's really no more upsides to crypto payments that could justify going through all the inconveniences of managing wallets, exchange accounts, etc.

There were so many attempts to make "X but with crypto", and most of them failed. The places where it succeeded are gambling and darknet markets. So maybe NSFW services can succeed if they target countries where they are illegal, to ensure safety for both the workers and the clients.

The difference is.... Fiat payment options are not anonymous, so if you received payment for x-rated services...the Banks and third party payment processors knows about this.

Your idea is all good but have you thought of the visitors you are going to get?
Since payments will only be based  cryptocurrencies, most of the visitors/viewers would want to users that knows about cryptocurrency and this includes beginners and the enthusiast.
I'm pretty sure majority of porn viewers have no clue about what a cryptocurrency is and it would take them time to adapt to it's usage which most of them won't to learn. Jerking off is the reason why they visit and they don't know about how their data is at risk.
265  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the Best Bitcoin wallet? on: June 21, 2020, 03:35:04 PM
There are are lot of cons attached to the use of online simply because of hacking. If you are the type that uses a PC, you may receive phishing attempts and get your funds stolen if you fall for one. That's why you need to loon for better options, even if large funds isn't involved.

Many users under this thread already recommend good wallets like Electrum. I will recommend getting an hardware wallet too. Ledger hardware wallet is a good option.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance deserves the first Position on CMC on: June 21, 2020, 02:28:44 PM
Even before they acquired CMC, they have topped the market cap times without numbers. They earned it IMHO. Binance is trying to make coinmarketcap data/ranking more organic than when it was controlled but now they are being criticized because they are the biggest exchange and they are in control.
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Police Arrest on: June 21, 2020, 01:22:04 PM
It's very disappointing that someone in a high position that called himself a crypto enthusiast would violate an office rule like that. Knowing well that government frown upon the word crypto and yet you used government resources to carry out your activities. Now, the odds of him getting out of this case is very low because it's theft. He should be punished.
Yes it can be a crime because that person uses facilities that are not his right for personal gain. That can be considered abuse, even theft. Especially if cryptocurrency-related activities are prohibited in the country. One lesson we can take, crime can occur because there is an opportunity. In addition, positive things can have a negative impact if the people involved use something that is not their right or illegal.

And this would make government more strict with workers using their resources. I think the Russia government doesn't stop the use of cryptocurrency and maybe that gave him some motivation to use his office electricity thinking it won't be a big case like this one if caught.

269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me or has the entry bar become a lot higher? on: June 21, 2020, 09:32:02 AM
That's like a thing that has been predicted and we all know this will happen one day and it's already starting to happen. Regulations are becoming more strict.
KYC process has become more tough. Unlike before were you are told to upload your KYC, now you are asked for a live one because scammers found ways to use people's ID to create multiple account.
There are CEX that allows deposit and withdrawals of 2 BTC total per day without undergoing KYC procedure but only asked to submit ID once FIAT transaction is involved. One of them is Binance.
270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is the HALVING working out for you ??? Remember all the predictions ???? on: June 20, 2020, 08:08:25 PM
True that there's no positive result yet but remember it was just last month. The current economic situation won't really make a positive impact come very easy like it use to. The only way we can know if it makes any impact is if this pandemic is over and the next halving.
271  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young trader dies by suicide after thinking he racked up big losses on Robinhood on: June 20, 2020, 05:39:13 PM
This is very terrible and sad at same time. For him to have this kind of amount at his age he must be very lucky. His cousin or whoever it is that posted the article sure must have told him the risks about this space. Alex shouldn't have been so quick to act on committing suicide. It's now two loses, his investment and his life.
272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of Canada hiring for their very own CDBC on: June 19, 2020, 07:27:40 PM
My excitement reduced when I saw this
Quote
The Bank of Canada is embarking on a program of major social significance to design a contingent system for a central bank digital currency (CBDC), which can be thought of as a banknote, but in digital form.
Digital currency doesn't mean it's cryptocurrency, there's no mention of the word in that article. So, anyone applying shouldn't not have it in mind for working on a crypto project, just creating "banknote" in form of digital. This banks won't embrace this crypto/blockchain tech just like that.
273  Other / Meta / Re: ask, help, Why is the account banned on: June 19, 2020, 02:28:13 PM

no, I only have 1 social media account and it's authentic, if I'm asked to hide my identity. I will not do, I hope I get income in other forums
Bye, and don't forget to read the rules there too before you get banned same way you got banned here too.
You just can't jump in somewhere without thinking there's no dos and don't. You're just in this tech for freebies alone and not to contribute to this forum. Go this on other forum and yourself more ban.

Comparing a stock investment to crypto looks somehow wrong. Apple, Netflix and Amazon are big companies and they have more user/fan base. Example is Apple which also have a cap of over a trillion.
Cryptocurrency on the other side is still not accepted across the globe because it can't be regulated like the company's above but they still made it to the top list( let me say unofficial) of best investment.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy Coins Discussion on: June 18, 2020, 08:03:11 PM
Monero is the real definition of anonymity. This coin is serving it's purpose and it is not in the best interest of government because they want control, especially the USA.
This still won't stop Monero because it's has userbase and it's still on big exchanges. The coin cannot be buried.
277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Supply Visual on: June 16, 2020, 08:11:51 PM

You can see that nice chunk of coins is kept on exchanges (sadly)  Undecided

I see nothing to be sad about here. They too may also fall under the categories of users abandoned account. Or some are holding them on exchange and trading them. But I feel for those holding there coins on exchange wallet because of exchange hack.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I sent 200 USDT to a USDC address. Is it possible to recover funds? on: June 16, 2020, 03:28:40 PM
Well Binance claims the recepient still can find and use the funds but dont want to tell me, because they'd rather keep the funds without giving the product/service they are selling.

Well if it's Binance, then there's no problem here at all.
Firstly, USDC and USDT are ERC-20 and Binance wallet for ERC-20 compatible wallet are always the same including that of ETH.
Secondly, you should scan both wallet on etherscan.io to confirm if it's same funds that's there. Also check deposit history.
You shouldn't panic and you should talk to a customer service.

280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not only for criminals/bad people and get rich quick! on: June 15, 2020, 08:22:23 PM
Too much of wrong info from media is the cause of this. Fear created by the government is also part. When people hear the government threats, they would back off from listening to people preach to them.

Friends are the only set of people that can be easily preached to about cryptocurrency.
