2641  Economy / Services / Re: Satoshi Sushi Restaurant on: July 20, 2015, 02:55:17 PM
I had sushi and sesame ice cream last night! If this place was near me I would eat there so often you would know my name, lol. I absolutely love TORO and fatty tuna.
2642  Economy / Speculation / Re: GOLD to 200-400 (prediction) on: July 20, 2015, 01:21:38 PM
There is absolutely no way to logically determine this. You are simply guessing what might happen. Knowing this it seems to me a very grand guess.
2643  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Welcome to the terror of Wisconsin’s “John Doe” raids... on: July 17, 2015, 04:49:50 PM
Scott Walker is a crook, everyone in Wisconsin knows that. lol

He had a private network set up in the office so he could allow government workers to work on his election at taxpayer expense. That dropout isn't qualified to be assistant dog catcher much less president. Although we all have popcorn ready to watch him implode as the hard questions start. It's going to be comedy gold.

Are you sadden by this outcome?

Not really. We just ignore the clown here. And it will be funny to watch him stumble around on a national stage. He and "the Donald" are going to be quite entertaining. Eventually the republican party will come in and tell you to vote for Jeb. Remember your job as a voter is to further the interests of the ruling elite. You will hear all about abortion, the terrorists, welfare moms, etc. But make no mistake, you are the little man and your interests are just a show. This is about the investment portfolios of billionaires.

OK. As long as hating walker, or trump, or jeb, or the ruling elite for personal political conviction does not preclude you from agreeing that what was happening there was a  total abuse of power on innocent people...

I think they did go too far. I assume the investigators were frustrated because everyone thinks there was criminality involved but that it was effectively covered up. Many people here wanted the investigation to continue, however if you don't find enough evidence then you have to let it go out of fairness. Well, in my opinion anyway.
But I doubt that walker is innocent. There are other skeletons in his closet and I think we are going to hear a lot more about that in the coming year. Just a week ago he tried adding an amendment to the budget that would change Wisconsin's open records law. It would legally keep anyone from knowing who writes and introduces laws. You do not have to be Sherlock Holmes to know that means someone is trying to hide something from you.
None of his cronies knew who introduced this at the very last min. That is what they all said and had it passed it would be illegal to find out. When the amendment was met with outright hostility from both parties and was dropped, we found out it was the same guys who didn't know who did it.  Typical lying B.S.
2644  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is a social norm in America that you feel is ridiculous? on: July 17, 2015, 04:30:16 PM
Every night on TV one can see a disgusting autopsy, homicide, rape, sadistic serial killer victim; but show a nipple or an ass (things we all have) and it's branded so obscene that someone has to get fired. And we wonder why we are such a violent society.  Roll Eyes

2646  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Does anyone in here knows about MMM? on: July 17, 2015, 02:14:57 PM
I don't know them. But I think your crazy to send bitcoin to any such scheme. Ask yourself this question. If they could grow their BTC 30% each month then why the hell do they need your money? I would guess you will never see your bitcoin again.

It's different from the investor based games that we have here. I saw they have a company registered here in my country and also they do charity works and participates in town activities. I just want to know if anyone else in this forum uses this and if they got profit from waiting.

Well it is a good sign that they are registered as a business. That will allow you to sue them if they just steal your money. However it is impossible to guarantee a return, much less 30% in a month. Think about what a preposterous claim that really is. Perhaps all they claim is that it is possible to make that much? I bet they don't emphasize that you could also lose 100%.
2647  Economy / Speculation / Re: Antibubble? Less expected scenarios for 2016 halving on: July 17, 2015, 02:04:35 PM
What about an anti-bubble from early speculation? Let's say the price rises as we approach the halving date and speculators try guessing the top. Then when it happens we discover that speculation has driven the price too high and the market corrects. Crash! we fall back to Earth.

Just guessing. I like the idea of considering "less expected scenarios".

Just what did you guys expect? You thought that all that venture capitol was to create a business to help you evade the law? If you want an anonymous exchange then YOU will need to start writing your elected officials. No one is going to jail for you because you want more money.
2651  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can u get bitcoins? for free on: July 16, 2015, 08:24:47 PM
Well, you are asking for free money. Would you give away money?
Earning may be the best option. I hear https://www.fiverr.com/ has a growing following. Maybe an add there will be productive.

I would add that it is also (at least sometimes) mathematically possible to discern that two public addresses are related.

2654  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I go about purchasing a large amount of bitcoins on: July 16, 2015, 08:00:00 PM
500k is a huge amount and I will not advise you to buy the virtual bitcoin, simply go into well arranged contract with people that sells physical bitcoin, get it from them and keep it in your bank vault for safety but buying the virtual one is highly discouraged.
I'm not sure I understand? In fact, I'm pretty sure I don't. lol

Do you mean "physical" bitcoins vs. the normal system? I would be far more concerned about the legitimacy of a physical bitcoin. "Virtual" bitcoins are bitcoins and they are provably secure by referencing the blockchain. Physical bitcoins are much more easily counterfeited because you must destroy them to verify their funding. Perhaps I am misunderstanding you, but I would strongly avoid physical bitcoin as they require trust. 500K is a lot to just trust someone who you don't even know.

What you want is to have the bitcoins transferred to a wallet under your exclusive control and not use a coin that requires the trust of the coin maker and the seller.  Satoshi gave us money that does not require trust, and he did it for a reason. Trust no one.

2656  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China Continues to Tear Down Crosses From Zhejiang's Churches on: July 16, 2015, 07:42:15 PM
I don't see what the surprise is? China is a totalitarian government that demands all loyalty be directed at the state. It has not been a free place for like 70 years.

MAO established PRC in 1949, he died in 1976.

Even in his dictatorship between 1949-1976, no such case happened.  BUT now is 2015 !!
My understanding is that there is slightly more religious freedom than in the past 30 or so years, but I don't know from first hand experience. Perhaps the phenomena of the "christian rich" is being seen as a threat?
2657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Those with an incentive to attack the bitcoin network on: July 16, 2015, 07:33:20 PM
If the banks should ever decide to attack bitcoin they would to it proberly. Not making a small spam attack...

How i would do it:

1 - Get eough hashing power to do a 51% attack
2 - When the attack is complete you change payout to miners to 25K
3 - Change difficulty to new blocks ever minute
4 - Open the traders on a big screen
5 - Sit back with a glass of cognac and see the bitcoins flowing the market

None of these would do much except bleed you of your money. If a bank wanted to launch a 51% attack consider how many millions of dollars it would cost to get that hash power. But let's say they do it anyway. A 51% attack would create temporary chaos on the network but it would be detected right away and would not last long. Within hours you would likely be broke and we would be back.

Guns and wall art, mostly oil and watercolor.
2660  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Unarmed Mississippi man died after 20-minute police chokehold, witnesses say on: July 16, 2015, 05:21:53 PM
That would be a murder. About 11% of police killings turn out to be illegal killings in the US.

EDIT:
1. Nope, didn't notice. I was stopped the other day because something was hanging under my truck. I told him I had a concealed carry permit and I had a loaded weapon in the console next me. He said "That's cool. Just wanted to let you know something's dragging under your truck, and you need to check it out." He never once tried to choke me, didn't ask for my gun, and did threaten any violence upon my person. I thanked him and he said to have a nice day. Again...no choking, threats or violence upon my being.
2. Sounds like it's already under the rug.
3. It's not systemic....really! How much personal interaction do you have to be able to suggest it's systemic?
I have never had a bad interaction with the police either. However it helps to be white and have a carry permit. The weapons permit assures the cop that you are not a criminal and have had extensive background checks.

P.S. Conceal carry holders who are found to have killed illegally are only about 2%.
