My cancel is this
Have a futuristic view and a long term perspective about Bitcoin, and don't sell out of panic of Bitcoin dollars value unless you are at gain.
I guess you meant counsel.

Anyway, truth is that what you've expressed there about loss in price (but not value) of Bitcoin that could momentarily push people to panic sell off is that believe of making profit out of it as a quick rich investment. Those who've long term plan for Bitcoin don't feel perturbed whenever it dips in price. They know of a certitude that it will get up back on its mojo. In all, whether at $20 or $1 million one Bitcoin will continue to remain its equivalent.

In the past I used to avoid any download that had only JSON file option without mnemonics. Good a thing that present apps have different options now.

As long as your computer is free from viruses and malwares, I believe you have you nothing to worry about
I doubt that. Once you're on the internet, your computer is susceptible to viruses and malware. You can't completely avoid that, and that's one thing that disgusts me with PCs and desktops. I think it's a bit controlled with mobile phones.

That site's interface doesn't look nice. I hope the owner works on it to make it more appealing to visitors and users.

The issue for me with decentralization is that there is a risk individuals remove middlemen in their operations and by that cut in the available social layer. The removal of that support was in fact the increasing disbalance I was describing.
Well, I don't see any special function middlemen proffer apart from offering services for rewards. They too can find another niche if what they're into snaps them out of it. No one remains in a company if it folds up or dies from the reality of it. They move on and eventually settle in on other engagements. You know, before some establishments started making use of robots for their services many people thought that would be the end of earning from certain jobs. That isn't the case now. Those seemingly affected by robot replacements have moved on to even better things. So, for me decentralization is a gift; not a curse.

Rich people are also buying into Bitcoin and will have more units compared to ‘regular’ people. Also they will have more assets to build more Bitcoin using that balance. For me there is no really new dynamic in Bitcoin to change this.
Again, just a few rich men actually. Most are still skeptical about Bitcoin, at least in public. Now, look at it this way – Anyone who isn't prudent in the little they've won't be in the much they will have. Early adopters got Bitcoin for almost nothing. So, if they sell off and the rich buy them at a higher price; it's expected that the early adopters should have enough to diversify their portfolios and get into other businesses or buy back their Bitcoin if they truly know how to trade and earn. That's also a way of creating more wealth for themselves, don't you think so?
2644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful what you wish for, it might happen on: July 15, 2022, 06:36:29 AM
Basically stronger people will become stronger and people suffering will suffer more.
I wish I had some merit to splash on your post for your effort at expressing your point of view. Though I disagree with you in more ways than one. For instance, this quoted part to start with. Remember that axiom – No condition is permanent? Exactly! You can't of a certainty say that the "stronger" will continue to get stronger while those suffering will perpetually suffer. That's not how life works. There's bound to be a change somehow.

Won’t Bitcoin create more disbalance while a lot of people are claiming the opposite.
Bitcoin is expected to disrupt world economics and redistribute wealth where it ordinarily wouldn't go to. It's succeeding in this, I must say. It's granting financial independence to a whole lot of people. If that's the "disbalance" you're talking about then I think it should do more of that.

I did not have 18+ in mind 😉
At least they should know our existence that we have a big community supporting bitcoins and it's network.
At the risk of going off topic, let me throw in this last one on that. Those are high school students and in Nigeria (which is OP's nationality) their ages should range from 11 to 17 maximum. 18 for them would be if they didn't enroll into school on time. That age is characterized with youthful exuberance and deliquescence.

However, I quite agree with you on the part of making youngsters become financially independent on time.
2646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My class had their first Bitcoin exercise with my class on: July 14, 2022, 03:19:00 PM
OP has become a Bitcoin evangelist. That's cool. I believe he's forever going to leave an indelible mark on those students for the rest of their life, even after he leaves that school. Nothing excites and refreshes like teaching someone what is worthwhile. This is what Bitcoin has become in this century.

Mostly if OP can show them how to make pocket income from signature campaign and can hook them in the forum.
I think it will be too early to bring them here now, given their youthful exuberance they're more likely to get into trouble than more mature minds. The sound and smell of cash excites youths more than grown adults. It can make them go gaga and they throw caution to the wind. This forum has a set of rules that users are compelled to adhere to and I think those youngsters are likely to miss them. Give them some time and they will be ripe to take responsibility, then bring them in here.
2647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you guys invest meme coins now? on: July 12, 2022, 07:04:31 PM
I would fancy my chances with Shiba Inu and Dogecoin but not with any other memecoins at the moment. I see potentials in those two and I think exchanges also know they do have potentials. Hence, the reason they're trading them. Anyone can check their markets and you will see how well spread they're. I think the market is providing us an opportunity to get them at cheaper rates now. My advice to anyone eyeing any other memecoins at this time is to research their usecases before any further involvement. If what you find out ticks the necessary boxes for you, wait for the market to start showing sign of upward move before buying in to avoid catching a falling knife.
2648  Other / Meta / Re: Where do you post most? on: July 12, 2022, 05:03:59 PM
This used to be very easy finding out those days when "Show general statistics for this member" at the bottom on user's profile wasn't disabled. I don't know why that was disabled, anyway. Not that it even matters to bring it back now, though.

In the past, I think I posted more in the altcoin discussion board. Then interest wavered between Bitcoin and Economics later. Now, I think I post more in Beginners & Help. I'm really not intentional to be honest. I just flow where discussions that interest me spring up. I steer clear of topics I hardly can contribute to so I don't spam. That's just it.

But someone who bought at 60k, and bought a lot from lower levels as well, would feel that they averaged it down and they would feel comfortable about it.
We shouldn't jettison the fact that some may have bought with all the available cash on them, thinking that would be a point of reversal. If it happens that way, it won't even help their case anymore that they want to get in on DCA. All they can muster at such a situation will be to sit on the sideline and rue their early entry. You've to realize that at any point one makes a buy, one is convinced within oneself that it's a right time to go in. We only get to know from hindsight that we got in too early. The point I'm labouring to make here is that those who don't embark on DCA won't necessarily be because they don't intend to but  may be because they're cash-strapped.
2650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Have Donated My Campaign BTC to buy Laptop for Practical Classes on: July 12, 2022, 03:17:37 PM
I love initiatives like this. I like people who don't withhold knowledge or information from others. That you're willing to teach the little you've known shows how great a mind you've. To top it up, you're even spending your personal funds doing it. Kudos, bro.

The picture of the classroom is really a sad reminder of what the education system has become in Nigeria where various elected administrations have continued to pay lips service to that sector. Strikes upon strikes from education unions have not deterred the government in anyway in their seamless efforts to run the entire system aground. It's really sad.
2651  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question for Legendary Members on: July 12, 2022, 02:14:00 PM
I mean did they already knew much about crypto before their account was created here.
I knew next to nothing before enrolling here in 2017. The first time I heard about Bitcoin was in December of 2016 and it was during a radio broadcast. The analyses caught my attention and I decided to research it. Like they say, the rest is now history. I think the important thing to enable one grow in the knowledge of Bitcoin is curiosity. You must've that desire to learn and research if you want to acquire more knowledge on that subject matter. Don't think you can't be better off than many of us here in the future. Just be ready to dig deep.

Heck! I only became "Legendary" because of the artwork I do for the many art competitions held in this community;
I think I can convincingly, though jokingly, say that you've to retire your participation in that genre here in the forum. You've won one thing or the other from each separate arts competitions Roobet et al have conducted 🤔. However, truth be told, I've to give it to you anyway. You're good at what you do. I can't even draw to save my own life.
2652  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How quick does the market grow during bull market? on: July 12, 2022, 01:46:22 PM
I don’t understand why people sell at a loss and I would rather hold. Being 45% down right now is not ideal but I want to hold for 2-3 years at least and by then should see good amount of profit, especially if I keep buying at these lower prices which I plan to do.
I sincerely hope all that you're hodling is Bitcoin though? That's the most guaranteed to bounce back from a big fall. Otherwise, you may want to reevaluate your portfolio. To hodl altcoins for long term you've to be too certain of their utilities and the roadmaps they're on to so you don't end up bag holding. For those who sell in panic, there's a solid reason they're in the market; that's to enable those buying have enough coins to buy. Without sellers at a time like this, those who are skilled at making buy entries wouldn't get an opportunity to buy cheap.
2653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin teaching approach on: July 12, 2022, 10:26:36 AM
I've got professors when I was on college that they're inserting topics that are not related to our discussion. So, I guess if you're finished with the topic that you have and you still have enough time.
I can relate with what you wrote there. I once did it with a high school literature class I was employed to teach. I had to introduce to them a few interesting texts outside the required curriculum to buttress certain points in the recommended texts. It worked very well as it made the students and class lively. I think what matters in all this is the teacher's use of discretion. If a teacher is good at what he does, the authority won't mind allowing him go extra mile in bringing whatever that will inculcate knowledge in the students.
2654  Economy / Speculation / Re: “When” Will Bitcoin Price Break $69k All Time High? on: July 12, 2022, 04:57:44 AM
November is often a good month for Bitcoin, that's just an aside from me as there's nothing technical supporting that anyway. It's just my guts feeling, having observed November for some period of time now.

I suppose it is not November of this year, probably November of 2024 or the year after.  We are currently in a bear market atm, and the transition from a bear market to bull market takes time and possibly months of sideways.  So I think we have to wait for another year or two.
Well, I guess you didn't remember that there's always a 23 before 24. We should've a 2023 first before counting on 2024, right? From observation, I've come to realize that the momentum for each Bitcoin halving year usually begins at the end of the year preceding the halving year and well into a year after it. In that sense then, 2023 is also important. However, let's not even distract from our November discussion. Some watchers even call that month "Movember" because they believe it's a movement month for crypto. I will leave you to check that out.
2655  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learning from the dip on: July 11, 2022, 08:57:53 PM
Numbers 1–3 are closely related in the sense that they talk about mitigating risk. Sometimes though, it won't seem a bad idea to borrow money to invest. The only bad idea there would be if there isn't a Plan B to repay the loan in case the investment from the loan fails. Crypto industry, just like other businesses too, is burdened with risk. We can't separate it or any other form of business from risk. On DCA, that seems a great way of avoiding shortchanging oneself in case one's entry price fails to hold. It's a technique that works.
2656  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some Reasons why there's an Increasing Crypto Scam Rate on: July 11, 2022, 08:38:23 PM
Is there actually any any solid evidence to suggest that crypto scams are increasing ?
It may be that they are reported more as crypto becomes more main stream?
That's just it! I believe the reason for such isn't far fetched too because it's the attitude of giving a dog a bad name just to hang it. There's so much bad press on cryptocurrency and the proponents of such are trying to run it down by making sure every little negativity of crypto doesn't go undetected.

Come to think of it, OP missed the most important thing that triggers scammers when it comes to cryptos and that's greed. Scammers like where the profit is.
2657  Economy / Speculation / Re: “When” Will Bitcoin Price Break $69k All Time High? on: July 11, 2022, 07:21:36 PM
I like it that the question is "when" rather than "will", with the latter being a show of fear, worry and skepticism. "When" shows that OP knows and believes that it's just a matter of time before Bitcoin records another ATH. With that, it's obvious OP knows price will soar again. Having witnessed two Bitcoin halving, I believe the current price level of Bitcoin is a discount compared to what will happen in a few months from now. However, I'm not sure anyone can of certainty get it right when it comes to predicting the exact time of a fresh high. November is often a good month for Bitcoin, that's just an aside from me as there's nothing technical supporting that anyway. It's just my guts feeling, having observed November for some period of time now.
2658  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret buying before the dip on: July 11, 2022, 06:06:06 PM
OP should remember that there were those who bought at $60,000 also. So, if those who bought at $30,000 feel any sense of regret; what do they have those who bought above them do? My only regret if I bought at those points I mentioned above wouldn't be that of panic but that of "I could've got more sats with the same amount if I had waited some more" kind of feeling. To state it plainly, no one should be remorseful at whatever level they're buying in. In the nearest future we all will realize that these selling/buying points now are even far too cheap.
2659  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for July on: July 11, 2022, 03:55:56 PM
I believe the bear hasn't still been exhausted. BTC is more likely to head south once more before leveraging up scale. To that effect, I'm hoping a $12-13k movement is possible and I think we are going to get there before the end of this month. A lot of those who buy now are likely going to be scared out when that time comes and will offload whatever Bitcoin they've in panic, especially the noobs among them. If you're a noob investor and you're reading this post now, I urge you not to panic when you find Bitcoin in that region. Hodl, and don't panic. BTC has been known to bounce back from worse scenarios.
2660  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was $17.5K the low? on: July 11, 2022, 10:23:02 AM
Oshosondy; yes, quite alright we both know this is a speculative market and no one should be taken to have an accurate prediction until it goes into hindsight and then we reconcile what was said and what actually happened. The reason I asked you that question was to find out if you took your assessment based on TA because you showed an element of certainty as captured in your few words in the quoted part below 👇

I do not think it will decrease up to $12000, I am predicting$15000.

Despite my conviction that we are in a pure speculative market, I still believe in the use of indicators to aid my navigation of the market like sailors their compasses. TA is still a vital part of trading for me.
