1781  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My son, daughter, nephew wants to know about Bitcoin on: February 06, 2023, 10:25:08 AM
I think there is no harmful affect of learning cryptocurrency in younger age , because if they properly understand the basic of crypto in younger age , they will be experienced and pro crypto trader and technical analyser as well as holder in teen age. But while learning crypto they must also focus on his school study.
Your last line caught my attention more, thus my reaction. Introducing the heavy and deep part of cryptos to very young people and at the same time restrict them from the distraction it affords is a difficult thing to do. We really may not be able to know where to draw the line. In my case, at a point my young son badgered me to teach him stuff about this industry but I struck a deal with him to wait until a certain age. However, he reads some of my posts here and other crypto activities and trading I do. I don't want the financial gains derived from cryptos distract him from his basic school studies, I often hush him. I have on few occasions caught him brag to his peers that he knew things about Bitcoin 😂. Kids and their bragging rights. For me, he will get there one day but for now I've made him realize that there's always time for everything.
1782  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 12,000 in 2023. on: February 06, 2023, 09:53:47 AM
What do you guys think about the possibility that bitcoin will crash down below 20k again before going beyond 24k?
If by below $20k you meant $12k, o seriously doubt we will get that roughed out to that dump. I would've expected that around the period before Bitcoin started pushing up in January. Since we didn't and Bitcoin is looking good in every sense of it at the moment, I don't think it will dip that much to that point. We can get it below $20k but I won't expect it to crash to that $12k region. Besides, we've to reckon that 2023 is expected to herald a bull rally as halving is next year. We know how positive all the previous halvings have been on Bitcoin and the entire crypto market. I expect same again.
1783  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoins the step to wealth. on: February 06, 2023, 06:17:16 AM
Don't depend on only bitcoin to make yourself some wealth because it has to do with the timing. Yes if you invest while price is low and about driving up well you may be lucky to have some profit depending on how long the bull last.
I know you're trying to keep to that principle of "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" but what if that basket is the only available one to you or if it's the only one that will be useful to you? Quite alright it's good to have more than one stream of income. However, what happens when there's no other stream of income is for one to emphasize the one at hand by finding ways to be better at the game.
1784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoiners are not friendly physical? on: February 05, 2023, 07:59:14 PM

Why Bitcoin users are afraid of see each other physical?
While I won't play anybody's solicitor on this, I will like to put my two cents forward on it. I think the reason for dodging to see other bitcoiners won't be far from the suspicion of trust. Anything involving money is always high risk and this is where trust comes to play. A lot of bitcoiners had been robbed in the past through such exposure, either on social media through their loud mouths or in physical meetings such as what you're suggesting. So, I guess the new bitcoiners have learnt how to keep distance and their mouths shut

But what's important is that we keep on building our portfolio and accumulating Bitcoin for the long run.
That's the absolute! There's this saying that the bears make money, the bulls make money; only the hogs get slaughtered. Professional traders don't really get bothered about the market once there's volatility. Whether price goes up or slides down, it's not a bother to them. Traders who've the set skills know when to make entries or exit the market.
1786  Economy / Speculation / Re: My fear in fall of Bitcoin. on: February 04, 2023, 07:24:39 PM
I am beginning to have a doubt that Bitcoin cannot go to a higher price just like the previous year.
At least, I understood this part of your post better. I don't know how long you've been in this forum. If we go by your account registration date, it's just a few weeks. However, that doesn't distract the reality that you could've been here as a visitor for years without registering an account or you've been here on another account. Nonetheless, one thing you should've realized before now in all there is that Bitcoin has always done far greater than its previous ATH. Every fresh ATH is always higher than the previous one by more than double it's original price level. You can search previous data and then crosscheck all that. So don't panic
1787  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bye Bye Bear Market :) on: February 04, 2023, 06:24:06 PM
What I see now is that the party seems to have started too early and that's a bull trap if you asked me.

I've seen this theory more than once. Also I was not convinced we're out of bear market yet.
However, we've already had some attempts for correction/bring the price back down, rather weak and rather short lived. The upwards trend seems to be pretty powerful and I start to believe that OP was indeed right.
Honestly, if this momentum that we have seen these past few days were in the last quarters of this year I would've concluded that the bull was upon us. This is because I know that every last quarters of pre-halving year is often green for Bitcoin. It's the same with the halving and post halving years. This one starting this early still casts a shadow. The downward retracement may not be strong but I still believe up isn't yet the way to go at the moment.
1788  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tools for analysis on: February 04, 2023, 05:18:13 PM
Back in the day, I used to play with Poocoin and Tabtrader as platforms to monitor trades and do my analysis, technically. I still take a peep at them till date but I've since moved over to MetaTrader5. It's easier to chart on Meta5 and demarcate the daily since I also use it for other trading businesses and engagements. I once tried to monitor my trades on Tradingview but couldn't find it any better. On the part of indicators used, I like staying with leading indicators of Support & Resistance, Pivots, Trendlines or any other indicator that doesn't repaint.
1789  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Success in futures trading after long wait. on: February 03, 2023, 05:56:59 PM

At the first stage when I started trading I took a trade with 300 dollars. Since then, the market is dumping, I add step by step liquidation. At point time my total balance was over $900 when adding liquidation. When the market goes up again I transfer from the dollar trading platform and add to the spot platform. Maybe that's why you can't find any similarity between my two pictures.
I don't think that's a good way to trade. Why not take the loss and exit the market by setting a Stop Loss (SL). You can get in back and make more profit after it retraces if you still believe in the direction of your trade. I used to trade in a similar fashion and would martingale my positions or sometimes hedge my positions. In most cases I still lost those positions even after days (I've actually held some into weeks) of trying to save such situations. It's a waste of time not setting a SL.

1793  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin price continue to increase? on: January 31, 2023, 08:22:42 PM
This is like what happened during the covid-19 pandemic year in 2020 around February during the bear season that bitcoin started to increase. At this time it was so doubtful that bitcoin was going to increase despite the hard effect of the time caused by social distancing, closing of businesses and quarantine of people all around the world. But this never affected bitcoin price rather it went higher.
COVID-19 outbreak and its attendant lockdown created more awareness for online businesses and investments, not just Bitcoin alone. People realized with it that the best way to go was online to create wealth. Offices asked their employees to be working from home. Those with access to the internet and PCs ransacked different search engines. Bitcoin had great hit with that. It's still happening till date. So, OP's question whether Bitcoin will appreciate in price should be taken as mere rhetorics because it's obvious it will. This year and 2024 are expectedly going to be favourable years for Bitcoin. Halving is in 2024 and we know what happens around that time and the preceding year after it. It's going to soar.
1794  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you consider spreading FUD to be unethical? on: January 31, 2023, 05:49:07 PM
I consider a deliberate and malicious spread of lies an obnoxious and unethical practice. We can't classify such practice as FUD – Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt because it's certainly not. We know how anything negative raises eyebrows while that which is positive causes excitement. When investors FOMO too (even unnecessarily) noob investors jump on it and buy in fear. Both FUD and FOMO aren't ethical when done with lies. It's either noobs are selling in fear or buying in fear. They never hold their own opinion by themselves. Well, it's a matter of time before they learn too.
1795  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bye Bye Bear Market :) on: January 31, 2023, 04:13:26 PM
I won't hastily say we're out of the woods right now even with all the rally going on with Bitcoin price. I think it's too early to preempt the market. The breakout in the weekly chart OP put out here could also retrace and then wipe out accords with high leverage (for those on Futures trade) as it's quite expected for price to retest its breakout position before moving on. It's a given that Bitcoin will do well this year but I expect that to come up in the last quarters of this year, not now. What I see now is that the party seems to have started too early and that's a bull trap if you asked me.
1796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are good at using the most hyped utility on: January 31, 2023, 01:42:00 PM
Most new projects listing on CMC are now having _____ AI name, for example AkitaAI, StableAI etc, there is nothing to be expected of these new projects, they are here to grab some attention that won't last and they will make tons of money doing so, it's always the money race.
The question is "why is CMC allowing those perceived scam projects to be put on its site?" While starting out in 2017, the CMC was always my point of reference for this industry. Any coin I didn't find there was classified as a scam coin. There were some purchases I made solely based on their listings on CMC and not because anyone hyped them. Now, seeing that many scam projects are getting there and site owner is not bothered but only concerned for monetary gain is not just heartbreaking but appalling. For me, I won't touch anything Al is in it with a pole. I bought into one Al token last year but it's value is almost at zero level now.
1797  Economy / Goods / Re: WOODEN VESPA | Accept Bitcoin on: January 31, 2023, 12:41:29 PM
Wow! I'm truly astonished by what I saw on the site. I never heard of a thing like a wooden Vespa before today let alone seen one myself. However, my genuine concern is the seat. We know how uncomfortable it gets sitting on a wooden surface for a relatively long time. What happens when the rider is on a long journey? It's obvious they will feel that discomfort. The ass is going to cake on the journey. That's the only reservation I've got for that beautiful work of art.
1798  Economy / Goods / Re: Anyone knows If i can sell my car with crypto ? on: January 31, 2023, 12:00:24 PM
Easier way would be to first exchange Bitcoin for cash using p2p exchange and than just buy car with cash.
Doing that, would've defeated one of the cardinal points why Satoshi created Bitcoin for direct use as means of payment, don't you think so? On my part, I don't see how transacting directly with Bitcoin should  be a  problem. All OP has to do is get someone who also will want to transact in Bitcoin. Get an escrow to receive and release funds once deal is reported to have been done/executed. Buying with Bitcoin, is in fact, the easiest way once you've factored in the volatility.
1799  Economy / Speculation / Re: does the increasing number of altcoins have a negative impact on the price btc on: January 31, 2023, 11:44:24 AM
will the increasing number of altcoins affect the price of bitcoin,?
Not in anyway; at least not negatively. If anything, the numerosity of altcoins in the market will even help boost the price of Bitcoin. Let me draw a simple analogy with this. Just imagine if we've only two altcoins in the market and Bitcoin, the law of demand and supply will kick in and investors will be propelled to buy either of the two alts and that will solidly increase demand and consequently the price. Bitcoin price wouldn't even be where it's today with just two solid altcoins in the market instead of the 22,390 cryptos in the market according to CMC data. More people are turning to Bitcoin (against altcoins) and investing there because of the prevalence of scam altcoins there are in the market. This has helped increase the demand and price of Bitcoin.
1800  Economy / Goods / Re: all type of costumes on: January 31, 2023, 10:07:19 AM
I have edited your link to Jpeg format and quoted that so that it can be seen directly without opening your link and it seems the two images are the same.
Thanks for going through that stress and quoting for visibility. Perhaps OP should've bought a Copper membership do they can easily display images on their own. That won't cost an arm or leg. I think it's around $30 to get it and they will be free from image issues.

Beware of scams in this space.
You're right. That will be OP's greatest hurdle to cross at this moment, seeing that their account is barely a month old here and they're already advertising a service to the community. I ain't saying that OP isn't genuine but they've to prove that on their own.
