1801  Economy / Speculation / Re: does the increasing number of altcoins have a negative impact on the price btc on: January 31, 2023, 11:44:24 AM
will the increasing number of altcoins affect the price of bitcoin,?
Not in anyway; at least not negatively. If anything, the numerosity of altcoins in the market will even help boost the price of Bitcoin. Let me draw a simple analogy with this. Just imagine if we've only two altcoins in the market and Bitcoin, the law of demand and supply will kick in and investors will be propelled to buy either of the two alts and that will solidly increase demand and consequently the price. Bitcoin price wouldn't even be where it's today with just two solid altcoins in the market instead of the 22,390 cryptos in the market according to CMC data. More people are turning to Bitcoin (against altcoins) and investing there because of the prevalence of scam altcoins there are in the market. This has helped increase the demand and price of Bitcoin.
1802  Economy / Goods / Re: all type of costumes on: January 31, 2023, 10:07:19 AM
I have edited your link to Jpeg format and quoted that so that it can be seen directly without opening your link and it seems the two images are the same.
Thanks for going through that stress and quoting for visibility. Perhaps OP should've bought a Copper membership do they can easily display images on their own. That won't cost an arm or leg. I think it's around $30 to get it and they will be free from image issues.

Beware of scams in this space.
You're right. That will be OP's greatest hurdle to cross at this moment, seeing that their account is barely a month old here and they're already advertising a service to the community. I ain't saying that OP isn't genuine but they've to prove that on their own.
1803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: beginner in Crypto on: January 31, 2023, 08:41:14 AM
As a beginner in Crypto with a limited budget would you recommend purchasing the lower priced NFT's?
The way things are, NFTs aren't what any newbie in this industry should be advised to go into. I don't have one myself and that's because I don't get the whole essence of it, coupled with the so many scandalous stories on the idea of NFT. Just stick to Bitcoin investment.

If you're after a way to make money you could look into play to earn nft games (but do thorough research as some will be or are scam).
For real? Do people actually get rewarded for playing games on their devices? I get to see such adverts online but I don't believe it's for real. I think it's eventually going to end as a waste of precious time. The only one I played was faucet and I know how tasking it was. Most faucet sites don't even pay at the end. So, in gauging the whole play to earn thing online as all scam based on my experience with faucets.
1804  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: don't be greedy to sell now on: January 31, 2023, 08:03:12 AM
Good luck to you for your two alts on buying back.
Yeah, I'm very optimistic price will be dragged down for correction. It may not get to my pending order but certainly I believe it will go way below the price I sold. It's only going to take my time and test my patience (crypto is a game of patience) but I'm prepared for the wait this week.

You don't want your followers to believe that you are running on luck not on your skill.
The first thing I do once I discover anyone with this mindset to whose channel I had subscribed is to exit immediately. Nobody knows it all in this industry and anyone who flaunts that they're all too knowing isn't worthy to be followed. Trading and investment are purely speculative. There isn't a certitude to whatever that happens. We follow TAs and FAs to navigate it, yet we know that every analysis shouldn't be taken as a guarantee.
1805  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: don't be greedy to sell now on: January 30, 2023, 06:50:03 PM
Why would you sell an investment you think would be successful in the long run in order to prepare for a decrease you think will last only a short while?
I've been caught in that web too. I believe while people do that is to increase the quantity they're hodling. Sadly, in some cases it backfires and they won't be lucky to buy back at the sold price. Such is life. As I type this, I've two alts I took this same risk on last week. I'm still waiting to rebuy, hopefully price declines below the price I sold.

They forget that nobody can actually predict the exact moment of the market. Anybody that still take advise from this clowns deserve anything that comes their way.
The annoying part is that the so-called experts hardly accept that they're wrong with the calls they make once it goes awry. They quickly find another technical jargon to justify why it didn't go the way they predicted in the first place. Gullible traders and investors will quickly accept the excuse.
1806  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This is a gathering of many hopeful people. on: January 30, 2023, 05:01:20 PM
I find that the people on this forum who have bitcoins and believe in bitcoins are one of the most hopeful individuals on the planet. I have this opinion because how can people here have so much faith in bitcoins especially the early users on this forum in bitcoins even when more than half of the world then did not believe. How come people on this forum are still encouraged to buy when things do not even look good.
I wouldn't use "Hope" in the sense that you used it. Rather, saying "clairvoyant" should be more appropriate for those who believe in Bitcoin. Those of us (yours sincerely is among) who see what they saw when Bitcoin was just newly birthed should have them to thank for such perception. Those who are queuing now to join in the bright number of Bitcoin lovers and fans also should applaud those of us who didn't back down when we heard the gospel of Bitcoin. In all, we continue to express our optimism with certainty that Bitcoin will even gain more value in future. So, we keep the faith and buy more to hodl.

Quote
This hope carried in this forum is infectious and for any one who had doubts about the future of bitcoins but manages to come across this forum will be very encouraged. Thank you for sharing HOPE bitcointalk.
Hope isn't the currency of our support for Bitcoin in this forum. It's conviction. We know what Bitcoin is and know that it's a great access not to miss owning.

Basically
Binance P2P Trading
Trading
Btt forum time passing with thread posting.
If you're into those and you're successful at two out of the three, trust me you're good to go financially. Trading is a very lucrative profession. It allows one enough time to plan one's life activities, it allows one ease of moving around at one's choosing and it also gives one financial freedom once one has a handle on it. What else can one ask for?

~snipped~
To be honest we usually have to secretly convert to our local currency through Binance P2P Trading.  In this case, many times local traders in our country have to get involved in legal trouble.
I know the panic and discomfort that causes. Some time in 2021 the misinformed government of my country also did the same by banning crypto activities. It was even an issue moving on the streets with any phone that has trading apps on it for fear of being stopped and searched my police. It became a legal tussle but all that is in the past now. That ban has been relaxed. I hope the same happens in your country so you guys can trade peacefully.
1808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will invest in bitcoin for my child's cost when they grow up. on: January 30, 2023, 03:25:41 PM
but I am also aware of the risks of investing in bitcoin, but I personally am ready for the risk of investing in bitcoin.

I want to know your opinion?
If the risk you're referring to here is about Bitcoin dumping, you should rest your mind. Yes of course Bitcoin will dump from time to time but that isn't something anyone who's into long term investment should be worried of. The risk for me for your kind of investment will be in the likelihood of you losing access to the wallet you will save the Bitcoin for your child through your own carelessness that will lead to either loss of password/PKey or wallet hack by a foreign body. Other than that, go ahead and invest in the future of your child. Bitcoin is a veritable investment.
1809  Other / Meta / Re: How about having a follow option beside the ignore option?Or are there any tools on: January 30, 2023, 11:34:35 AM
My main purpose of opening this topic is to know that if there is any tool to follow forum users(like @BTTSuperNotifier_bot
Well, I don't know if there's any other way the BTTsupernotifier bot works besides notifying users whenever they're mentioned in the forum. I don't think that bot is engineered to follow or monitor users. It's for mention. There's another bot in the forum that also monitors bounties – https://t.me/btt_bounty. If you're looking to follow a particular user, the way I do mine is to constantly check up their profile for new threads or posts. If it's to follow topics started in threads, just click on "watch" and you will automatically get notifications whenever someone replies in that thread.
1810  Other / Meta / Re: Bounty spammer meets AI Chat generator. Can they be banned on the spot? on: January 30, 2023, 09:35:00 AM
Incidentally, that's the price to pay for such tech advancement. Anything with advantages has its demerits too. Recently, off this forum though, I've been reading how well a certain Chatgp Al has been performing and dishing great stuff. Humanity, at some point, will have a serious competition with computer intelligence. Nonetheless, I trust theymos will come up with an idea that can put all this Al activities on the forum at bar. We need real humans to chat and post here, not some Al. By the way, nothing judges a situation better than human analysis. Look at those sampled posts from alleged Al and see how off point they're because of the lack of emotional perspective to those comments.

since it happened and it look like i have lost my child.
Please tell me you are not a woman and you did not have a miscarriage just because of a ban? Could you please address these concerning issues?
Yes, that escaped me when I addressed OP earlier because I wanted to comment on it. I hope OP was only being hyperbolic concerning their frustration in losing access to their account. I hope it ends just at that and not a real life situation that they actually lost a child.

OP, if you're reading this, you should copiously state your case. Like user Smartvirus stated above we don't even know the true case of your ban. Could you state it with reference links.
1812  Other / Meta / Re: Appeal apologies for dataispower ban on: January 29, 2023, 05:35:27 PM
It must be really frustrating for a forum user since 2014 to make a serious mistake and simply lose all the work done during that time.
I can tell how that frustration is, having suffered it once for a careless slip I made. It's depressing to say the least. I don't know the facts of OP's case as they didn't table the exact thing that happened. However, I would encourage them to make their appeal revealing to showcase what good they've been able to do as contribution to the forum.

Quote
But, now I was intrigued about this case. The user is normally only banned permanently if he repeats his mistake, or am I mistaken? If so, then you have repeated the same error over and over again.
I'm even wondering why it took OP a month before their appeal. I guess they already have that defeatist mindset or they believe they've repeatedly done this wrong and now realized they aren't likely to get pardon.

Quote
The user with a banned account can't log in, can he?
So how is he active today?  Huh
Perhaps OP is on permanent log in. It doesn't matter once a user set their account to permanently remain logged in because that account will show active whenever he opens that tab but he won't be able to post from it.
1813  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is bitcoin a good chance for the future on: January 29, 2023, 04:39:14 PM
I don't know much about bitcoin, and I also want to invest in bitcoin, but I want to ask whether bitcoin has good potential for the future?
I'm not surprised seeing this type of threads. I believe I've commented on a similar one last week or so. We always get to see this sort whenever the market is in an upward rally. Responding to whether Bitcoin has potential for the future or not will be stating the obvious. Of course, isn't that the reason its price keeps bumbling upward whenever it goes down. Those who believe in its potential don't hesitate to buy back once there's slight price correction.

Quote
I want to know why people experience losses investing in bitcoin?
Loss is a part of business and trading. Every other business has those who suffer losses also. So, it's not a Bitcoin thing pers se.
1814  Other / Meta / Re: Some Newbie ~ Membar got nice rank through pumpkin contest on: January 29, 2023, 03:03:54 PM

Not every Sig/Bounty ANN are given merits, and I believe some are given based on how they organize and present the rules. By the way, 2-3 merits on an ANN is not a bad thing.
Sorry, you missed my point. However, the bottom line is that even if it were just a single merit splashed on such it still doesn't mean it's a constructive post. Those who do it know what inspires them but certainly I don't think it's quality. Don't get me wrong again, I ain't one to direct or say how users should splash their merit. If for anything, I'm one who believes that meriting posts is more of a subjective exercise than an objective one. Once users aren't trading merit or abusing it, I don't think there's any infringement on how one should spend their merit.
1815  Other / Meta / Re: Merits Tree 2022 - Monthly Results on: January 29, 2023, 01:37:17 PM
~snipped~
I'm going to analyze how this can be done, I'm not saying in the form of a tree to capture more information, but in a way that is interesting to analyze.
Yes, even if it's not like a tree; it will still be ok provided those caught in such act will be quoted or mentioned. This will help rejig them to awareness. Perhaps, some of them may have forgotten they have merit or on the essence of distributing it. I ain't talking of inactive members here. I ran through some of the usernames there and those I'm talking about are still very much active till date. So, it's not as if some type of abandoned account with lots of merit in it. That can't be distributed.
1816  Other / Meta / Re: Some Newbie ~ Membar got nice rank through pumpkin contest on: January 28, 2023, 09:05:22 AM
This is exactly what I was discussing in this thread

Merit games, tasks, and art contests open the door for bounty hunters and spammers to advance in rank, and I wouldn't waste a single merit on those types of threads.
I side with you on this. A few times that I took a critical look at some users I wanted to merit when I had enough, I saw that some had too much posts and activities but zero merit. I checked their post histories only to discover that they were heavily populated with bounty reports. It discouraged me from even meriting one or two of their posts that weren't bounty reports. To now send merits to such users simply because they won some sorts of competitions shouldn't be encouraged at all.

Quote
Merit is a reward for quality posts...
In all sincerity, I don't believe that. Meriting posts is as subjective as emotions go. I've seen heavy shitposts get merited, even by those we feel are excellent posters. Again; still on the matter, tell me what is constructive or quality about meriting OP of signature or bounty campaigns? Some of us do this as our emotions move us and not necessarily because those posts serve any genuine or constructive purpose.
1817  Other / Meta / Re: Merits Tree 2022 - Monthly Results on: January 28, 2023, 07:59:07 AM
I ask the community if they want the merit tree to continue in 2023?
Well, I don't think showcasing this helps the forum. Rather it could be depressive if you asked me. It's kind of discouraging to see from the trees members who garnered so much merits but still didn't distribute them, even after 150 days. Does it mean they haven't found deserving posts to splash those merits on. I thought we're to hoard or hodl only Bitcoin and not merit. Hoarding of merit wasn't theymos' plan from the beginning. Why users do it beats my comprehension.
1818  Other / Meta / Re: New bitcointalk rank? 🔥 on: January 28, 2023, 07:32:20 AM
For example, if you have 1990 merits, then you will be 10 merits away from legendary, but you will have the new rank until then.
I know it's a hypothetical situation you're trying to create here but can we also raise the bar for the new rank requirement to say 2,990 merits (or anything that should be above what you already have). You escaped the first cutoff, you shouldn't escape another one 🤔. Again, to tell you the truth, what you're suggesting concerning the legendary rank that were airdropped 1,000 merits will also need to be applied on lower ranks that were airdropped merits too. Don't you now see how confusing it will turn the whole forum? By the way, who is going to devote the time to gather all that data?
1819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: January 27, 2023, 06:28:31 PM
On this, I've a friend who has invested so much in this industry but has stylishly left Bitcoin out despite my emphasis to him that Bitcoin was a must have. In his conception – Bitcoin doesn't give me much profit as altcoins do. He's right. The major thing that makes a lot of people invest in Bitcoin is because it's the most guaranteed coin not to scam or disappear into thin air. If you talk of ROI, just give it to credible alts (one has to be extremely lucky to get such anyway). Take for instance, invest the same cash it will cost you to buy 1 BTC into an alt like BNB or Shiba. By the time Bitcoin moves $5k, go figure out what any of those Alts will be.
