2741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Poker Rooms on: October 20, 2021, 10:31:17 AM
Hi everyone, I just created a new account here to learn more about bitcoin. I also like to play poker and I'm wondering if there are any good and trustworthy online bitcoin poker room out there? Thank you in advance!  Smiley

So far, I think one of the best bitcoin poker site is SwC. I believe I already replied to an almost similar thread before. But to give a background, SwC is a bitcoin only poker site. From the description itself, bitcoin-only means the site only accepts bitcoin as a deposit and withdrawal. Your bitcoin will be converted into chips that you can use on their website to play games. SwC is known to be a founder of the poker bitcoin only concepts because it was the very first one established. SwC has a nice rakeback and themes which make it enticing to play. You can also get your payout within 12 hours, which is not bad because the processing time of payout is pretty much considerable. However, the two things that are concerning is that it has lower traffic for a site an it has no declared license.
2742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Book/Website Suggestions ? on: October 20, 2021, 06:45:43 AM
My father loved to gamble, and was a big Blackjack player.  He was an incredibly smart guy, and always did his homework before ever doing anything at all.  That was no different when it came to gambling.  I remember seeing him read several Blackjack books, which was his favorite game to play.  Do you guys own any good gambling books or know of any website where you can learn skills to play certain games like Blackjack, Poker etc?

I have two book recommendations for you that I can attest will help you learn the basics and fundamentals to win from gambling. The first one would be "The World's Greatest Balckjack" which showcases the complete details about what you need to know in betting, calculating the odds of winning, strategies and gameplays, and how to spot cheating, how to avoid being cheated on, and most importantly how to pick and chose your dealer. This book can give you so much knowledge which you can use everytime you play. You just have to familiarize with whatever is written on the book and of course, execute what you have learned.

Second one would be "Beat the Dealer: A Winning Strategy for the Game of Twenty One". This book is full of useful information as well like the former one I have mentioned. This book also contains the details about betting and utilizing your card to your advantage to win. This also has the information needed to spot cheating and the strategies that will be your armor whenever you are playing. You can trust this book because it was written by a reputable author which is known to be very excellent in his field. I can assure you that this is a nice book to be a primary source when you're looking for one.

I hope I was able to help. If you can, please drop a feedback if you happen to pick these books I recommended. It would be of great help to future users here with the same question too.
2743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has Gambling Changed Your Life? Yes? (how) No? (why)? on: October 19, 2021, 12:28:11 PM
I think the majority would answer negative things about it. Gambling affect us mostly in negative ways because of addiction. Unexpected result of the bettor will always lead to either aggression on winning or happiness because of a one time big time jackpot win that could also lead to addiction because of a wrong mindset ( that he could win again if he'll try again) and in the end, his profits got eaten up by the house because of being greedy.
2744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: October 19, 2021, 11:36:15 AM
Fixed matches are real. It always happen because both parties will get benefited. For example Team A is the superior and Team B is the inferior, Team B will offer bigger money than the price that Team A will going to get if they win, so the benefit of Team A is the money while Team B is the title, simple as that. There are different reasons behind it in different sports and athletes. Lucky if your friend's source for that fixed match was legit because that's an easy money.
2745  Economy / Economics / Re: Will we see new ATH this year? on: October 18, 2021, 05:28:47 AM
This year was full of excitement, full of good things and full of the evil. We saw new ATH, we saw how one man manipulated the whole crypto market and we saw how one country fights it and how everyone wants to kill the bitcoin as an investment option because of its high volatility.

From the recent experience, every time we see bitcoin trying to surpass 50K and/or reach new all-time high, market somehow drops, if that doesn't happen then China tries to stop it's rise, every time it tries to stop bitcoin from surpassing 50K.

The fact is that the governments and/or other major financial sectors just don't want bitcoin to reach ATH again and they do everything for that but the bitcoin is still very, very bullish, like never before! What do you think, will we reach new ATH again despite a such resistance?

It's still October, we still have roughly 2 months left to see if we will witness another ATH for bitcoin. Cryptocurrency's nature is volatile so it is really possible to happen depending on the external factors that will occur such as the status of bitcoin's legality to the developed and influential countries and the movement of the whales in the market. FUD affects the market negatively so if ever another one happens, let's not expect an ATH. Although surely right after it, the value of bitcoin will recover and bounce back. For now, let's just wait for the best and let the nature take its course.

Do you think crypto will be the future for payments in space ?

How will they pay people long distance ... from planet A to planet B ?

You sure have a very imaginative mind. I haven't thought of this ever since I've known cryptocurrency. But I think, we can't really tell. As much as we want to know, we can only take a guess. NASA is known to conduct experiments, observations, and studies around space because that's their agency's field of expertise and job in general. Maybe we can ask them about it since they are the ones recruiting people to the other planet particularly Mars. Although we must also take into consideration the connectivity and processing time using our common sense. Is it possible? Is it going to be possible? That's what we're still uncertain of. Maybe, maybe not. But I guess none is really impossible since people have made such great discoveries that we are utilizing today such as satellites that are on the atmospheric surface and in outer space which brings us signals and connectivity. The question is how long will it take to be invented and how long would the trial be to know if it is indeed effective to use.
2747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is important for a country? or not... on: October 18, 2021, 03:31:31 AM
Cryptocurrency is essential for the development of a country?
Does cryptocurrency play an effective role in the development of the country? Or does it hinder the development of the country and cause extreme damage to the country?
What do you think about this?

This matter depends on the current economic status of the country we are talking about. For those countries that belong to the third world or developing countries just yet, it is possible that the cryptocurrency will have an effective role in its development. Perhaps the adoption of crypto in their country can boost their economy due to the taxation in exchange for its legality. This will serve as the government's profit for every transaction and investment the citizens will make.

However, if the country is already developed and is soaring high just like the US and European countries, cryptocurrency's role in their economic growth is negligible. Because for every developed and first world countries, they don't rely on crypto as much since there are different aspects and field of industries they can make profit with, particularly small, medium, and big enterprises, businesses, and other departments such as tourism, agriculture, fishery, and the likes. Crypto is just another alternative for them because their local currency is strong enough. Hence, there is no reason for them to accept such coins as legal tender. Unless, of course, if their government just wants to.
2748  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Types of Scams in Crypto - Awareness on: October 18, 2021, 02:53:07 AM
Through different means scammers make fool of the common people and scam them. Different types of scams through which common people gets scammed are

Paid Signal Providers : Here people who weren't able to make money out of trading do this kind of scams. People are requested to subscribe their channels, so that you'll get daily trading signals. Further they do it as a paid service. Here if you're new to the cryptocurrency network, they easily scam you. Good is to do the best research of your own, because we've got lots and lots of legitimate platforms, YouTube channels are there using which you can know better about the market.

Money Doubling : In recent days this is done through YouTube channels and telegram channels. 2X bots were developed and those were promoted. If you invest $100, you'll receive $200 through the bot. Person who promote this will talk in a very pleasant manner. Don't fall for the words. Stay cautious with such schemes.

Indicators Scam : It is also a kind of scam in which people get scammed easily through trading indicators. Here scammers function as a group and promote the indicators. Our indicator have got accuracy and other additional features. If they can make big money out of those indicators why can't they do it and earn out of it. We need to think about it before going for such indicators. Learning the indicators of the exchanges is more than enough and through this one can easily know about trading analysis.

Pumping Teams : In this pattern of scams, about coin pumping will be announced. We've got information about specific coin that we're going to pump. If you invest/buy you can make good profit out of it. It gives 2X, 5X, 10X profits. Those are completely false statements. Don't fall for it, because they make you buy and further dumps the market.

MLM : This is a commonly known scam which is much seen on every form of businesses. It hasn't left cryptocurrency as well. Here based on the members added will be the commission and through this you can make big earning. One who is in the top order makes money scamming the down members. Even they'll say that you'll turn millionaire within few months. Most of the people who gets scammed on this schemes were the college students.

Apart from this you can see more and more forms of scams in the crypto market. As the market is widening scammers try different approaches. It is our responsibility to do the best research and move forward. Give awareness, it'll help someone and make the cryptospace scam free.

Thank you for listing out the different kinds of scams that were used in cryptocurrency to take advantage of people. Honestly, even today that there are many infographics and all possible ways to legit check, unfortunately, there are still many people that have been falling victim to these awful scams and schemes. It's really best to know all of these to avoid it in the future if ever you stumble upon one or two. Educating the users and spreading awareness is very much needed to be able to distinguish which is legitimate to not. I hope people would take more time to read and make themselves conscious of every evil tactics most especially on the internet transactions and activities.
2749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will happen to the price when all the bitcoins are mined? on: October 18, 2021, 02:13:50 AM
The maximum number of bitcoins that can be issued is fixed.
Eighty percent of the coins have already been mined.
What do you think will happen to the price after all the bitcoins have been mined?
What do you think will happen to the price once all the bitcoins are mined, and how do you think bitcoin will affect the global economy?

It's really hard to predict what would happen to bitcoin if ever all of it will be mined already. Although by simply analyzing the possible scenario which is limited to no more supply and market has still high demand for it, surely bitcoin's price will skyrocket. I based my analysis on the fundamental and basic law of supply and demand. Of course, when people still want bitcoin for themselves and there is no left to be mined, the trend will go upward making a positive impact on the community. But that would be so far from now if my estimates are not mistaken. By then, the value of bitcoin could possibly surpass half a million. I guess we won't around by then, but it's still nice to invest in it because we can give it as an inheritance to the future generation of our bloodline.
2750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One of the best coin Bitcoin on: October 16, 2021, 05:51:59 PM
Bitcoin is not one of the best, but it is the best of the best. Bitcoin is the first ever cryptocurrency that shakes the world, from doubt to trust, especially this time of pandemic. A lot of people, companies, and even countries decided to put their trust on Bitcoin. Bitcoin is very revolutionary amongst other inferior tokens that has been built after it.

If I always have some spare money, I always put it in bitcoin rather than making it a cold cash in my vault.
2751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: October 16, 2021, 03:41:23 PM
Casimero transfer to a new promotion might be the start of some boxers following the same path.

Manny Pacquiao their chairman and founder is busy with the election in the Philippines and most likely if he will lose, he would also lose a lot of money, probably billions as he is running for the highest position and that means he has to spend more money for his people that are just taking the opportunity to ride with him for free. As Chavit said, his long-time friend, Manny does not have a big income from his businesses to sustain his high spending, so his boxing promotion business would also be affected financially if he lose all his funds in the election.

I have this possibility that is in my mind now, I think Manny will fight again if he loses in the election to recover his losses.
I also have that feeing Manny just retire for the sake of Politics but if he lose on this one, he will have more time now for boxing which is more possible to happen.

Anyway, its good that Donaire helps Casimero on his new promotion team and heard the news that they may have the same day fight in December. Its good that Filipinos are helping each other instead of throwing trash talks, Casimero is already settled with Butler I guess.
Casimero and Donaire are real friends, trash talking is part of the game though it looks like a scripted brawl so they will not fight each other, this is just my thought about this.

Yes, they are scheduled to fight on December, there’s no final date on December though. With regards to Manny, he should not run as President in the first place, he knows his place and he will not win for sure.

They could be best friends but that doesn't mean they couldn't fight professionally. The trash talking though might be scripted to gain more viewers when their upcoming is really gonna happen, however it could be cancelled out again if they choose to since fighting someone you're close with is not really a good thing.
2752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: have you ever play or won from a crypto exchange lottery? on: October 16, 2021, 10:28:28 AM
The thing is.... any Lottery has to have some verification system to determine and prove that the winners are drawn from a legitimate algorithm and not hand picked by the people hosting these Lotteries.

I have yet to see one Lottery system that has a "fool proof" system that verify the actual winners, apart from the one that are hosted by Freebitco.in

Most of these systems are used for cheap advertisements and people fall for this crap.  Roll Eyes

Exactly.

However people still wants to play it because of entertainment and false hope. People want an easy money given by their luck but mostly the luck that is needed to win the jackpot requires a lot of time before it is gonna happen to someone. The longer the time they spend trying, the more money they'll spent on it hoping to get what they want.

People won't either believe those two things (the truth and the lie) on gambling industry. The more important to them is that they'll win it no matter what.
2753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: October 16, 2021, 09:13:44 AM
@TravelMug. It is 2.00 for under 9.5 rounds. The odds are available and offered on Nitrogensports. I reckon they remain the best website for basic odds and offers.

In any case, Canelo is also training for under 9.5 rounds hehehe. This might become under 7.5 rounds when the fight nears. Caleb Plant will regret talking about his mother hehe.

https://youtu.be/R4lGsixTjoE

I'm gonna take that odds, this fight will not gonna go to the distance, Canelo is motivated to knockout Plant because of the disrespectful manners of Plant during the press conference. Actually, I have never seen Canelo this angry during the press conference in his previous fights, and guess what, he still dominate his opponent so most likely this is an exemption, he would dominate and KO his opponent early, 1-3 rounds is my prediction.

if you are rooting for canelo, yes much better if you will bet the over/under as the odds are better than betting full-time. as canelo is motivated to finish this fight early because of the surrounding drama, placing bet under may be a good choice. this event is fast approaching so hoping that no other reasons that they will cancel this fight.

and btw, based from this article, caleb was not actually talking about his mom, but he was referring to canelo himself. just a misunderstanding.

Did Caleb Plant also watch that knockout practice video hehehe?

In all honesty I do not know much about Caleb Plant. There was a trainer who was a guest in Mike Tyson’s podcast that predicted Caleb Plant can win because he has better boxing than Canelo. @Boafeng, you are the boxing expert, do you agree Caleb Plant is underestimated and has a better chance?

Canelo has the experience while Caleb is still gaining some, so my opinion is Caleb here is the underdog. I'm not underestimating him but if Caleb is going to lose, that's for sure because of lack of experience. My bet would be on Canelo because mexican boxers are the rival of great filipino boxers, and their determination to fight is no joke, they'll fight 'till their drop on the ring.
2754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Tips- what kind of strategies do you use when playing? on: October 16, 2021, 07:15:03 AM
Though really, if all your opponents were people who played it safe, why bother playing just leave the table imo.
I wouldn't leave if they're playing safe. All of the people at the table will definitely play for their own safety and they won't just leave just as you're thinking. But if you think that it's better for you to leave the table and look elsewhere then you do it. But that's not the best option IMO if you want to play with others through the same table. You all have the same chance of bluffing and winning in cards and it's all going to be depending on when you fold and when to call at most times. Adopting what others are doing will make you last in a table.

I disagree.

Bluffing is not that easy to do, I mean not because you bluff like other means you're gonna have a high chance of winning. Bluffing requires a lot of things, first thing to be consider is your cards, next is your opponents (if he/she loves to bluff or not), next is the probability of what cards your opponents has, next is your funds, because you can't always make calls without even thinking the consequences.

So leaving the table is a must if your instinct is telling you to leave because you're not in the right condition to compete.
2755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No one talks about Sic Bo!? on: October 15, 2021, 12:06:26 PM
I've played it but not often ,at first I thought it was a boring and complicated game I saw many places to bet like the picture you show ,I'm also afraid of making the wrong choice and I get bored quickly playing at the live table but after trying it's also difficult to predict  Undecided  I lose maybe because the dice that arise out there are 3 dice
maybe it's also because I bet on the total value that comes out so it's really difficult ,I never put bet on the big or small which is indeed easy to get a win I always think of winning a lot with a small bet ,maybe that's the reason why I also often lose

I suggest you study the mechanics first before playing again. Losing more often in a luck based game is only normal, it's just like dice but a little bit complicated since it is a chinese dice game with a twist. It's more fun compare to normal DICE for me since I like the thrill you get when analyzing what pattern would be the result that's why it is also very addicting and entertaining.

Tip: don't play if you're chasing your losses (especially if you're doing it for so long) yet doesn't have any good result.
2756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: have you ever play or won from a crypto exchange lottery? on: October 15, 2021, 10:58:53 AM
I don't have experience winning from a crypto exchange lottery because that is too difficult for me and it will cost huge money to buy a lot of tickets. Besides that, winning from that lottery needs to compete with other people who also want to win the prizes so they can use more money to buy more tickets and that will be more difficult for us to win. The luck factor will be important here because the winner must have the luck to win. Otherwise, he will lose the money to buy the ticket.

That's for sure.

Lottery is the most difficult game in the whole gambling industry in my opinion because of too many random numbers that could be generated in just one roll, and you need a lot, like a lot of tickets in order to hit the jackpot, that is if you're lucky, because a thousand ticket is not even qualify as a winning piece because we're talking about millions of chances for you to hit up something big.

It's addicting because the price is tempting and very entertaining to do.
2757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - October 5 on: October 14, 2021, 12:32:11 PM
Lopez and Kambosos fight has been long overdue. Their fight has been rescheduled several times already and honestly it's quite frustrating most especially to the boxers side. The past scheduled fights were postponed due to the date of the match was set right after the fight of Mayweather and Logan. They had to set another date which was eventually cancelled as well because of quarantine protocols.

The fight was appointed to be held earlier this month which is October 5 but unfortunately it was once again moved by Triller, the person who won the bid for the boxers fight and the one responsible for the matches promotion. They had conflicts with Triller particularly Kambosos because Triller moved the date without Kambosos consent on October 16. The match was moved because it has the same date of fight with Monday Night Football. Because of this, Triller was removed from being the promoter of the said match and forfeited the bid to the boxers, since not both parties gave consent to the swapping of dates  I'm not really quite sure if the game will still occur anytime in the future but i do hope so. Nonetheless, it was said that a game will still be held on October 16, the supposed date of Lopez-Kambosos fight but with no weight title with the care of Triller in Barclays Center.

2758  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitvest is a scam on: October 14, 2021, 11:58:17 AM
A "instant cashout" casino where the hotwallet is ALWAYS empty. At a certain point, call it what it is, they're choosing to leave the hot wallet empty. It's not as if an unexpected surge of cash outs is the problem.
But don't worry, you can still play your crypto in the meantime! Hot wallet will be filled as soon as you bust.
If you get bored, don't forget to come to chat and have one of the mods repeatedly literally harrass you, including specifically banning you for 3 minutes then unbanning you (because they weren't justified to begin with) just so you won't get rain anymore ("the same person shouldn't be getting top spot every rain")

Oh and promo? That doesn't even exist anymore.

Your title is very misleading and it spreads FUD. Where are your evidences that bitvest is indeed a scam? Do you have any proof that they really deceived and scammed you? In what way? Did they steal anything from you? Did your account lose money? You see, the terms of service of every platform changes without prior notice. Maybe you had a violation that cause your account to be banned by the moderators. If they weren't able to detect unusual activities from your account, why would they waste their time on you? Are you the only user accessing and playing it to the point they would invest so much time and attention to you?

I suggest, instead of complaining here without dropping evidences, you gather it and show it here so that we can give more appropriate advices to you. It would really be hard to talk and badmouth bitvest without counter checking whether what you stated are true. In fact, what you have written were just merely rants because it has no supporting documents.
2759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most popular bitcoin-only poker sites? on: October 14, 2021, 11:26:42 AM
One of the most popular and played bitcoin poker site is SwC Poker. It was established on the year 2012 and it was the first one to be the site of bitcoin only poker. Hence, we can technically say that it was the founder of bitcoin poker concept that is used nowadays in different sites. However, the disadvantage of swc is that it has no official license but it redeems itself with the payout, software, and game variations.

Being a bitcoin-only poker means it only accepts bitcoin and you can only withdraw bitcoin from winning. The moment you deposit bitcoin, they will exchange/convert it to chips in which you can use to play on the site. The rake is up to 50% and it's a pretty decent percentage because it also accumulates as you collect Krill in the game. There are other bitcoin-only sites out there but so far this is one of the most popular. I would love to know other sites which has a good rake system and traffic.
2760  Economy / Economics / Re: Will governments capitulate and finally recognize Bitcoin as a legal tender? on: October 14, 2021, 10:55:28 AM
It's a subjective question. This matter really depends on what country we are talking about and what kind of government they have. For those developed and first world countries, it would really take time for their government to recognize and acknowledge bitcoin and other coins to be a legal tender since most of them mainly focus on growing their local currency and boosting it. Instead of accepting crypto, they would rather focus on their own currency and utilize it to make its purchasing power more efficient and strong.

In addition, most of them think that crypto don't really have that much value. And given its nature which is decentralized, they won't get to control it like what they usually do with fiat money when they need and want to - they just print out of thin air. I guess what's more likely to accept crypto as legal tenders are the ones who are still developing just like El Salvador and most likely Venezuela and Paraguay. Because they think that crypto will help their economy and its transition to digital world. They have seen its potential and they believe in it which is a brave move if i must say.
