1761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People are not only gambling to win but they are buying entertainment on: July 15, 2022, 03:09:02 PM
We pay for entertainment, gambling is just too expensive for entertainment when people can chose Netflix to watch movie all day. There is just the urge to gamble and hope to win big and when they lose they still think they are just unlucky and the next day might be lucky.

Although we think the house always win, there is a chance to win and the gambling success stories just hard to ignore.  Cheesy

I agree.

I don't know why people prefer expensive type of entertainment while most of them are probably not earning that much money, only enough to survive every single day and yet they play gambling relying on luck. I don't know if they can still call it "entertainment" if they aren't happy because they are not winning. I believe they only say that to hide the fact that they are pretty frustrated because they can't make profit on their "entertainment"
1762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Its One Too Many on: July 15, 2022, 02:36:31 PM
Pretty ironic to call them "well reputable" if they cannot solve a single thing that will ruin their reputation. For me, if they are not trying to solve it, meaning they are neglecting their obligation to their players which is to be fair, it could happen to anybody, therefore I would not trust that certain gambling site anymore.

There's a plenty of gambling sites out there, so I'm gonna try them all and find something that really cares about their players.
1763  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long do you think the market will take to recover? on: July 15, 2022, 01:21:24 PM
<...>
What will happen next?

How long do you think the market will take to recover?

No one knows what will happen next, if someone can predict the market accurately, then he's good but don't expect him to tell you how he do it. Instead of asking what will happen next, I'll just follow the trend for my own good, I mean instead of questioning yourself like "Is it worth it to buy or wait?" just buy, we're far away from the ATH price so it's not that bad to buy the dip.

The market will recover on it's own, we shouldn't worry about it. All we have to do is wait.
1764  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Would you advise a focus on indicators or the market itself for a newbie. on: July 15, 2022, 12:40:54 PM
Indicators are based on the market, however, you need to fully understand what it means for you to get benefits on it, otherwise you'll just waste your money by trusting your indicators without any knowledge about it. Also, trading as a newbie is hard, you need a lot of time and money in order to reach the level where indicators is your profit maker, not your half wit analysation based on your own instinct alone.
1765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Gambling companies can get more users to deposit. on: July 14, 2022, 02:28:22 PM
This post is based on the article published on the source: Source

The source explores how around 49% of the users would deposit more money based on better withdrawal options. Apparently, the survey conducted by US firms explored various areas that stands really important for people.

The key import things in there were :
1. Choice
2. Experience
3. Privacy
4. Preference

They explored a new idea where having a player, having a traffic doesn't necessarily mean that the site got a new player, they generally didn't account it for until and unless they have made a ' Deposit '

Which necessarily improved when the Gambling platforms had more withdrawal options, things Like: PayPal, Debit Card, Online Gambling, Cash app, Gift card etc. Having the freedom of having so many options improved the players willing to deposit money by almost 49%!!

This is certainly something that the Gambling companies do have to look into since this will go long way, thus changes needs to be made, What do you think, how important this option is for you?

I agree.

Gamblers are sophisticated when it comes to their money, they value it the most because it is the key to their happiness, they can't play gambling if they don't have it so obviously they will always look for a better gambling site that will provide the things they need, especially the withdrawal thingy.

Having no hassle in withdrawals with a wide range of choices will indeed catch players attention, because there's so many cases already of gambling sites not granting players money withdrawal, the worst case scenario is their account has been frozen because of withdrawing large amount of money, and nobody wants that.
1766  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Nag-aacumulate ka ba ng crypto ngayong bear season? on: July 14, 2022, 01:37:43 PM
Nag-iipon lang ako ng BTC ngayon since dollar based yung sweldo sa signature campaign ko, kaya kahit bumaba BTC same amount pa rin kapag kinonvert sa PHP, swerte na rin dahil mataas palitan ng USD to PHP ngayon kaso mataas rin naman mga bilihin.

Tips ko lang sa budgeting is always pay your bills first, then kung ano yung matira yun yung i-budget mo for your everyday needs. Kung maaaring bawasan yung mga appliances na malakas kumunsumo ng kuryente, bawasan, para tipid rin. Maging matipid lang sa lahat ng ginagawa para naman may maipon pa rin kahit paano. Mahalaga kasi yung meron kang emergency fund just in case.
1767  Economy / Economics / Re: The Growth of Bitcoin ATMs by Country on: July 13, 2022, 10:49:36 AM
Currently, the number of Bitcoin ATMs by country can be seen at https://coinatmradar.com/countries/ shows an increase in usage. Will the number increase or decrease due to the impact of the projected global economic recession that will occur in the future??

There's no right answer in this one because nothing is ever certain. We don't know if the global recession would ever happen and if it will really occur, the impact will vary from one place to another. So, saying the number of bitcoin ATM will increase or decrease will be futile because there's also nothing to back up such claims. Increase of usage of bitcoin ATMs could possess various reasons. Perhaps the fees might be a little lower compared to exchangers in some areas or maybe it is convenient for them. While there is a reason for people to use it, they definitely will. Although here in our country, I hardly hear there is one nor ever seen one on my own eyes. Lucky for those areas that have numerous bitcoin ATMs to cater them because it's a great alternative if you don't want or there's no available exchanger.
1768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In a world of financial oppression Bitcoin is the the only escape route on: July 13, 2022, 04:41:37 AM
I woke up to a slamming email from my bank today on government new duty stamps that will be sucking a whopping #50 from each deposit of #10,000 and above deposits,  this made me wonder on the level of the audacity of the government who has failed to provide a good micro economic environment for the teeming youths who have found Bitcoin trading as the escape root to financial over-reliance on the government and lack of jobs opportunities. With this over-taxation, a lot of people like myself will opt to hold and receive money through Bitcoin to avoid this crazy bank stamp tax that is aimed at robbing the citizens to enrich corrupt political office holders.

This is such an unfortunate situation. It really saddens me when the government fails their job to provide a good economic development for their country and constituents to the point that their citizens are the ones suffering the consequences.

Although I cannot really say that bitcoin is actually an escape route on financial oppression because no matter how hard we deny, we're always gonna pay the fees because bitcoin isn't fully adopted yet in every place. Hence, we're still going to pay for processing fees for the conversion of bitcoin to fiat. The government will still have their way to tax us and get money from us as long as it isn't widely adopted yet.

However, bitcoin is a great opportunity to be an additional income source and investment for the future which is beneficial to the holders of it. It's just up to us on how we would utilize bitcoin for our own sake and advantage.
1769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't sell your precious BTC to the whales! on: July 12, 2022, 01:36:32 PM
There are just unexpected situations that happen where investors are forced to sell their Bitcoin for their personal use. Holding will be the best thing to do for now. As much as possible and as long as we could have more patience, it will be better to hold our Bitcoin so we'll make a profit when the market recovers or when the bull run approaches. It's the right season for buying and holding.

I share the same thought in mind. We belong to different places and we have different circumstances to attend to. We have different placements of priorities in life and obligations as well which are great factors to determine whether we will continue to either hold or sell. For someone who needs funds urgently and currently has no other means to support his/her needs, the have no other choice but to sell their bitcoin. Maybe not entire amount of it but partial amount of their portfolio just to sustain their necessities and obligations.

As much as we want everyone to hold, we can't force them to do so because we have different situations. We can just suggest as much as we can, but we cannot impose. After all, we still have our freedom to choose and the decisions still lie on our very own hands and not on the hands of those who are giving opinions. I know there are members here that currently are just relying on bitcoin to perhaps get by and there's totally nothing wrong with the way they will going to spend their btc as long as they know what they are doing. Anyone of us can always buy the dip again when the market crashes.

Buy if you can afford it, sell if you want to.
1770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bear markets are for building on: July 12, 2022, 11:09:40 AM
I just this cute picture illustration of bull markets and bear markets on Twitter.
If you take a look, there really is a huge difference between bear markets and bull markets.

Bear markets are for building, there are a lot of innovations and projects helping the Bitcoin community especially adoption so that we can spread good words with Bitcoin and everybody can try to use it.

About the Crash, which for me is normal for every market, not only on Bitcoin or cryptocurrency market. When a crash, a lot of entities or companies are affected some of them are being rekt during the crash.

This is a good illustration. Indeed bear market is good for building for most crypto users. Building portfolio is a good example for this. While the price positions are low, we must utilize it to our own advantage. This is the right time to buy the dip of those coins that show potential and proven its worth over time. Instead of being shaken with the price fluctuations during bearish market, we must take advantage of it and take it as a great opportunity to buy low then sell high.

Unfortunately, there are still a lot of people who are easily shaken with sudden drops that becomes a hinder for them to profit and build a solid portfolio. I can't really blame them though. It's still a risky move after all. You just have to know how to manage it and assess it so you won't be regretting later on.
1771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Type of Gambler Am I? on: July 12, 2022, 09:52:23 AM

The categories of all types of gambling are discussed. However, based on the category, there are several types of gamblers in my society. Most of them are Casual Social Gamblers as well as some are Professional Gamblers, Serious Social Gamblers, Conservative Gamblers and Compulsive Gamblers.
I am not very sure about my type - When I have some extra money than I am crazy gamblor and when I am low in money that I am very conservative gamblor.
We see many professional gamblers leaving the casinos devastated and we see many beginners leaving the casinos happy and excited. In both the case - gambling is a game of luck and chance - nothing more - nothing less.
casino gambling is one of the world's gambling so far in cryptocurrency I believe that why people is it yourself into casino gambling because casino gambling is the one of the shortest and the easiest way of making money in gambling soccer gambling prediction so therefore I can say that anyone who is interested in gambling should go directly to casino because it makes use of cryptocurrency
If they treat casinos as one of the shortest and easiest ways to make money, they need to change that thinking because casinos are not what they expect and think. Casinos are places to have fun playing various gambling games and if we are not careful, we can fall deeper and eventually become addicted. This is what we and the gamblers out there need to realize so that we will not become addicted.

With the current development of casinos, more people will visit online casinos than offline casinos and they can use cryptocurrencies instead of fiat. This can allow them to play gambling comfortably without verifying like in a fiat casino.

There's no place or platform that could provide you easy money. If someone claims such thing as giving an easy money, doubt it right away because when it's too good to be true, it probably is. Gambling is a risky thing. It isn't a shortcut for success of get rich quick like what others claim it to be. It has so many risks involving getting addicted, getting bankrupt, and getting a lot of debts if you will fail to manage and control your gambling habits. It's important that people will know about this so they won't expect so much.

While it is true that someone can make a living out of playing gambling, it comes with risks too such as losses. Hence, someone must be knowledgeable about it before diving into it. The rapid modernization and pace of technology and innovation is a factor why most people are becoming interested in gambling. But of course, despite this, it isn't an excuse to just mindlessly indulge to it but rather a reminder to become aware of our actions and responsibility no matter what type of player you consider yourself to be.
1772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons why people avoid KYC in gambling casino ? on: July 12, 2022, 08:58:03 AM
Even if a reputable casino site suddenly obliges to deposit KYC this would be up for debate, there will be some gamblers who disagree. Because when we talk about KYC, it concerns the identity of the gambler in detail. those who do not want their privacy to be known by others will certainly choose to leave the casino.
but if a new casino site operates implementing KYC, many people will avoid it, but some others start researching whether the casino site has a good reputation or not.
If there is a debate between gamblers about KYC, maybe the casino could implement a way of limiting the number of withdrawals that gamblers will make so that if they don't cross the withdrawal limit, they don't have to do KYC.
At least, it can protect the gamblers to keep playing in that casino and they don't have to do KYC and can enjoy their time in that casino.
Maybe the casino itself doesn't want to implement KYC for its members.
Still, after all, the casino is supervised by the regulator and doesn't want to violate the regulator's rules. This might be a dilemma for that casino in terms of KYC so they need to consider it before making a decision.

Now that you've mentioned it, I think its a good idea. Perhaps letting the players have a choice whether to have KYC or not could save them and the casino unnecessary trouble. Putting up certain limit of withdrawal is a good concept so that the players would be mindful of their winning withdrawals to avoid undergoing KYC process. Because as we all know, not everyone is in favor and fond of doing KYC. Some people just really prefer to be in the shadows and not expose their identity as well as their transactions.

Although I don't know what might happen regarding monitoring the income flow of the casino. Because KYC is also important at some point on determining taxation. A monitored number of active users is a must. So maybe they could try to incorporate and strategize first to check if there would be more advantages or disadvantages.
1773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 12, 2022, 03:11:49 AM
Those who gamble that are basically for money. There is no way they can accept anything fake instead of money. I don't think they will attract those sites in any way. Some times gamblers are interested in betting even if they have no experience in any field. In that case, there is no way to improve them with anything fake.
Lol it's more than just wasting time.

You will never feel the thrill playing with the fake money ... just like the demo , it's useless not really helpful at all. We need a professional help in case you get addicted to gambling .. not such distraction with zero function in it. I have a lot of addicted friends that can't move on from gambling and this way is one of ridiculous way he might laughing off.
TO me it's not an attraction. I don't like playing with fake money- if I have to quit gambling - I think I will indulge myself in some other activities.
Go into hiding into some remote area with my DSLR and will not be incontact with anyone for sometime - so that I clear off my mind. Once I decide something - I do it. No matter how hard it is. . .
If you are really that planning on quitting gambling for good then it would really be ideal on making yourself getting away from it even you are saying with fake money kind of playing then it wont really be a solid
solution in regarding with your addiction because it would really be just continuing the same thing on which if you do have the chance on making use of real funds then it would really be just the same story.

I do agree on what you had said on making yourself getting away with any gambling activity. If you do make this option then i dont see for it to be ideal because it wont really make you
get away with gambling addiction but instead you would make it more worst.

Also, there's no enjoyment on playing fake or play money. You could tell the difference when you are on the situation.

I think playing with fake money is helpful for those people who want to quit playing gambling for good. This is because a person that is addicted and dependent on gambling have to gradually withdraw from playing and not just suddenly because if ever they will withdraw and stop right away from playing gambling, their body will just keep on craving and looking for it eventually. Instead of being able to quit and recover from gambling addiction, they'll just have a relapse.

It's important to take it slowly if they really want to achieve positive results. It isn't also healthy to just instantly eliminate something from your system that you've been long and highly dependent on. It must be taken away slowly until successful elimination from your routine and body system so you won't suffer relapse and won't be back to square one.
1774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Most Expensive Thing Bought with Winnings from the Casino or Sport Bet on: July 12, 2022, 02:13:52 AM

That fund was used to buy about 3 BNB when it was trading close to the $100 mark. Assuming I took profits at the peak of the market, that would had been a massive gain although now I'm not in loss as well since I'm still up from my
initial entry point.

This is good to hear that you are good reinvesting the gambling gains back to your coins to expect more big profit at the bull time. You have been preparing ahead for time to come and I'm learning from this kind of advise too. Cashing out early in the bull may have brought you profit but no regret because the future profit is coming.
Reinvestment of money earned from gambling is a way of earning more profits in the future or investing in capital projects is another alternative means of smart investment, personally I had never won any tangible amount of money via spot bettings, however I will give soccer betting a trial this upcoming season I hope to win huge profits so as to also reinvest in some profitable coins, this thread is an eye opener for me and learnt various way of judicious use of money earned via sport bettings.

Indeed, reinvestment is a good way to maximize your gambling profits and to make it more valuable in the long run. Instead of spending your gambling winnings to luxurious items that will just have price depreciation overtime, you could opt to just allocate your winning prizes to investing to valuable and profitable coins such as bitcoin and other altcoins that have proven their potential. Of course, before doing so, make sure to background check first to avoid being scammed and to avoid unnecessary losses that could be prevented by research.

While reinvestment is a good thing, I have nothing against those who choose to enjoy their winnings and satisfy themselves. After all, we should still indulge once in a while, but not too much and instead in moderation.
1775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You See Or Tell If A Fight Or Event Is Fix ? on: July 11, 2022, 02:42:02 PM
Wait, what sport or league are we talking here? I'm not sure if I did follow but I think I'll just leave that to you whatever that is and I'm confident that you quite know the sports well to have that kind of speculation. Hopefully that's not a big league because I'm confident that big league games aren't easy to get fixed, you need to have huge guts to consider fixing huge leagues which is by the way spectated by thousands to millions of people.
Life is very fast these days - people just watch and give their opinions on it.
But I believe most of the big games are fixed .. like there were so many miscalculation and cheating which was done in World Cup qualifying round.

I doubt there is a fixed matching happening in big games because those matches are holding a lot of money. We aren't talking about small amount of money at stake here, but a big fund and the reputation of the players or teams as well which cannot be paired and bought by money. These teams are playing because they have supporters believing in them. They are the reason why they are popular and enjoying the place they are already at as well as its privileges. The trust of the people is what makes them going as well as the pride and satisfaction they get in winning every match. So no, I don't think there is a fixed big games.

I think the fixed games and win trading is common in local matches only. Those small games usually contain fixed matches because they couldn't care less about reputation or support because they don't have much most especially those held in small areas and are only organized by the common people. They are mostly just after money. Not all, but certainly there is fixed matches happening in small scale areas because it won't be closely monitored compared to big matches.
1776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can change of environment have an effect on gambling addiction. on: July 11, 2022, 01:52:00 PM
Having people around that are not exposed to gambling will always be helpful for someone who is a gambling addict. However, that won't guarantee that he'll stop gambling anymore. Where there's a will, there's a way. So expect that he'll still be looking for some nearby casinos or just play online casinos without leaving the house. Also, in cases that an individual still develop his gambling habit even without influencers around, that only seldom to happen but still possible. Usually, gamblers develop their interest if they are also seeing gamblers in their own environment or society.
That is correct - people who are not exposed to gambling are a good choice for getting rid of gambling addiction. It is very true that this will be beneficial.
Many people when they are depressed thay go to hilly areas, put their phones down and enjoy nature. Breathe in the fresh air and feels good. That is what we have seen in movies and dramas.

Perhaps unwinding could really help someone to be free for a while from the stress and bad habits. But this isn't also a guarantee that someone could really quit and abandon gambling. This is will just be a breather for them, but it certainly won't help them solve their gambling addiction because gambling addiction can only be healed by proper treatment and intervention of the professionals.

This could be a good band aid solution to stop gambling for a while. However, after living the mountain side or seaside life, they'll just go back to their old ways and bad habits. As much as we want to deny, the truth is people who didn't experience proper rehabilitation will later on experience relapse.
1777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inherited gambling on: July 11, 2022, 01:13:17 PM
^

Of course, a person's environment has a very strong influence on him and his habits. It's hard enough to resist gambling when it's all you talk about in your company and every pub in your town has a slot machine. This I know from personal experience. That's why I try not to let my children know that I'm into gambling.

I get your point. Perhaps you felt pressured and overwhelmed that your surrounding is talking gambling most of the time, hence gave into it because they already influenced you into thinking it is worth trying. I can't blame you. Peer pressure is real and it could really affect someone's decision making which I suppose most of us went through in some part of our lives especially when we were younger.

I guess it's a safe decision to keep it a secret from your children that you are doing gambling most especially if they aren't in the right age yet because it might affect them as well. They might think it would be okay for them to engage in it as well if not guided properly. But I hope you'll educate them about it when they have the capacity to understand it well so they won't be lost if ever they'll discover gambling on their own. It's still best to have awareness and be educated about something. Otherwise it can lead them to harm if there would be lack of information.
1778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Careful With Your Slot Activity! on: July 11, 2022, 12:18:13 PM
Slots machine are one of the worst if not the worst game that you can play because obviously it will not be on your favor. I was one addicted to slot, losing big money every night, but there were times that I will also win big. But in the end, the numbers is not going to lie.

Extreme control is really needed because once you are hook up to your favorite game, there is no looking back until you lost everything and in debt.

Slot game is a luck-based game which means that you should know before even playing that the odds won't always be in your favor. This game is mostly inclined to the side of the house, hence, it's not really surprising that most people who play it are losing money over it. Most especially those people who don't have set limitations and boundaries for themselves in playing and risking. No wonder there are many people who have pile of debts.

I agree that control is a must. Self-discipline and restraint is really essential so that you won't lose more than what you can afford. After all, money is hard to earn nowadays so people must really practice being a responsible player.
1779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inherited gambling on: July 09, 2022, 03:44:07 PM
Well, even if gambling were hereditary.... people still have a choice to do it. You should actually be more cautious if gambling addiction is part of your genetic makeup. A lot of people have certain health problems that are hereditary, like for example "Diabetes" .... so the children in the family should then decide if they are going to "live" more healthy to avoid it.... or if they going to eat wrong food and increase the risk to get Diabetes later in their life.  Roll Eyes

So, you still have a choice in the matter.... and you should not just blame your weak genes, for the bad choices you make.  Roll Eyes

I totally agree with you. Having a genetic make up that is inclined with being a gambler doesn't necessarily mean that you would also be a gambler and suffer the problems that come along with it including addiction. We have our own choice of how we will do things. We are granted free will because the decisions lie on our very own hands. We shouldn't be dictated by anyone or anything.

Having a genes with gambling is predominant shouldn't be the basis of determining someone's future or identity. Every person have the capability to resist and do otherwise what people expect them to do or to become.
1780  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading really worth it? on: July 09, 2022, 02:31:18 PM
Trading will only worthy if you're serious about it, if you're willing to spend a lot of money just to gain some experience before gaining a lot of profit in the long run. It will be a long process, and that needs patient which is hard to give on something if you're not committed to it.

I wouldn't recommend it as a full time job if you're just new to it, because you do work and trade at the same time. It's important to have another source of income just for backup.
