1821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Bitcoin Disappointed You ? on: June 28, 2022, 09:49:34 AM
bitcoin did not disappoint me. that's because bitcoin is a volatile asset, just as it increases a lot in price it also drops a lot, people need to be aware of this before buying bitcoin, they can't think: " I'm going to buy bitcoin and the price will always go up and I will make a profit", this is deluding yourself, if someone bought at a low price then that person will sell at a high price and the price will fall, it will always be like this, that's why for me bitcoin did not disappoint me because I understand that this price drop and something normal

Everyone who works in cryptocurrency is terrified of this bitcoin dumping.Because the market once stood at $69k but then slowly dropped to $17k.

It's normal to be afraid, but people should have foreseen this by now

I share the same sentiments with you, mate. Knowing the nature of bitcoin which is naturally volatile, it is normal that we experience minor and major fluctuations. This is due to the market movement and at the same time, due to external factors such as big events or personalities that have an influence over the market trend. In addition, there are kinds of market season in which we have to be aware of so that we won't be easily shaken or disappointed.

Right now, we are still in a bearish market. This happens once in a while and is a great opportunity to buy the lower price points if you have the means. For those who aren't really knowledgeable beforehand will really feel disappointed because most of them only think that bitcoin will always be in its all-time-high. When in fact, it won't be. There would be bad days too depending on how you view things.
1822  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: June 25, 2022, 04:43:58 PM
Considering the current events in Ukraine and the open aggression from Russia, what are your thoughts on the collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms in support of Ukraine?

We know that 1xBET and 1xBit are owned by Russians. Do you know any more? Could we make a list of all Russian-owned casinos?

I'd love to support an initiative to help Ukraine! I think it would be great if we all raised our voices together and supported it.

If We Boycott Some Russian Gambling Platforms, Nothing Will Happen in Russia In order to do any work, we all have to decide together and do that work. There are a lot of people who are supporting Russia, but they will be the opposition here. All we have to do is work together. Some people can't succeed in any work.If you want to boycott anything in Russia, you have to boycott it all together.
Russians are unique. They have survived most of the wars. They will survive this war as well.
Putin has been judo learner since childhood - he only believes in military solution but one thing is for sure they are very aggressive and they do what they deem right.

Russians are the ones on the aggressive and advantaged side given the equipment and manpower. So, yes they will indeed recover and bounce back just like previous conflicts they are involved with. Putin is impulsively, aggressive which makes his moves questionable as a leader.

If there is any other way aside from violence, it must be pursued to keep the peace and harmony of the places. However, Putin chose to wage war which has so many consequences. Sure, they do what they deem is right and necessary. But to what extend? I just find it saddening and maddening that they will do everything just to prove they are right even if it's at the expense of the civilians and innocent people.
1823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Trends For 2022 on: June 25, 2022, 02:29:59 PM
Let me just add you that the resurgence of online casinos might be due to the pandemic. Everyone is at home and those gamblers wanted to continue so they go online and play and that's why the sudden downturn as far as numbers of gamblers going to traditional land base casinos.

But as we go back to normal, casinos are going back live now, I'm going to land base casino's at the start of the year and the last time I check, the numbers seem to be back. It's just a matter of preference now, whether gamblers who play online will go back to their favorite land base casinos because of the ambience, or play at the comfort of their home.

I agree.

But online casinos are the new normal now, that's why people started to like it since the pandemic starts, and now, maybe they've realized that online casinos are more fun and convenient, of course it still depends on what you're looking for. Land based casinos are more appealing because you can see a lot of different games, people, and making new friends that you can't do in online casinos because of virtual and physical aspects.
1824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Type of Gambler Am I? on: June 25, 2022, 01:32:28 PM
I belong to the Personality Gamblers, because I only try gambling out of curiosity, the winnings are just bonuses if I'm lucky enough while being curious.

Most of the gamblers nowadays are compulsive gamblers, playing like crazy, spending so much money on gambling without any plans and goals on how to really make profits out of it. They are hotheaded, short-tempered, and not easy to deal with. Even their families are struggling to help them out with their addiction.
1825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You See Or Tell If A Fight Or Event Is Fix ? on: June 25, 2022, 12:35:14 PM
It could be on basketball, boxing or horse racing, or any kind of sport, after being in a particular sport for many years can you see or tell if a fight or event is fixed, there are upsets but in the back of our mind, there's a possibility that the match or game is fixed.

It's hard, to be honest.

Because if your instinct told you that a fight was fixed because the player who has a lot of advantages against his opponent, then it could be fixed, especially if the opponent has much money and power compare to the player who has the advantages when it comes to a certain sport. But of course even though it was fixed for example, there's no way you could take a refund or something, because that won't go out easily in the media or in the sports industry.

A fixed game or a fight is confidential, therefore both parties are discussing it. The other one is after the title, and the other one is after the money.
1826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Multiplayer Gaming in Gambling Industry on: June 25, 2022, 11:50:04 AM
I guess the effects will entirely depend on what type of person is going to play. For example, if a solo player would first try this multiplayer game, for sure he would do a lot of adjustment, one of that is to openly communicate with his partner on how to win a game, or being challenge more since he is against someone and not just a system A.I. On the other hand, if a player is playing already a multiplayer game before, I think he might just have to look for a strong opponent to find the excitement he is looking for to enjoy the game.

Of course it will also be addicting, especially if you find something interesting on the game.
1827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 25, 2022, 11:04:07 AM
Questions for discussion
- Are gamblers eligible to hold financial positions?

In my opinion, it's risky so you have to be carefully judge them before you hired them in that kind of position in a certain company. I mean, if that position allow him to hold the cash of your company then it's a no no, but if it is only like tallying the amount of money of your company via software, then it's good.

- Do problem gamblers deserve a second chance to hold a financial position?

If someone done that to me, I wouldn't give them a second chance. Maybe they could try it to another company, because it's not worthy to trust them again if they can't separate their addiction on their work.
1828  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom For Bitcoin? on: June 24, 2022, 03:16:48 PM
What do you think will be the bottom for Bitcoin, from which it will begin to recover? Another question is whether now is the best time to invest or whether waiting for more dump is advisable.

If someone can predict the dip, for sure he won't tell anyone and if someone really can, he could also predict the next all time high.

To answer your another question, the best time to invest is when you trust your technical analysis about the next dip, if you happy about the dip, buy it, if not, then don't. Though hesitating so much even though you've done your part will give you only regrets at the end, sometimes not. For me, when you bought at $17,600, it's not that bad because that far enough from it's last all time high.
1829  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Incoming BSP Governor's take on cryptocurrencies on: June 24, 2022, 01:27:51 PM
No hate pero yung mga sinasabi nila na karamihan eh tinatago raw yung pera sa gobyerno eh totoo naman, but of course for some good reasons.

1830  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: June 24, 2022, 12:27:54 PM

Yes, SLP is the problem here since P2E ito and kung ganyan den kaliit ang kikitain, most probably hinde na bumalik yung ibang players. Though if AXS and ibigay nila for the reward siguro maging ok pa ito kase at least limited supply diba pero considering the number of players before, baka maubos lang agad ang supply at baka lalo magkaproblema. Kung magiging kagaya sila ng steam, ok ito pero sana magagandang games naman ang idagdag nila sa platform nila.

Exactly kabayan.

I think they should balance the slp rewards, like halimbawa slp sa 800-1300 mmr tapos 1400mmr and up should be AXS and reward, something like that, basta wag lang puro SLP kasi napakaraming naghohold at dahil unlimited ang supply, mahihirapan talaga makabalik sa mataas na presyo. I hope magrelease sila ng proper burning mechanism pagkalabas ng LAND at origin.
1831  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best time to buy or wait a little bit ? on: June 24, 2022, 11:19:37 AM
I believe you did great in your decision.

Dividing your funds to buy at different price of dips means you won't have any regret compare to buying @19K all out and when it dips more, for sure you're just gonna be frustrated. Also, it is good to save cash just in case some emergency happen, because if you don't have any, you'll be forced to sell your Bitcoin in a price that you don't want to sell it.
1832  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Brand Name Vs Site Functionality? Or Both? on: June 23, 2022, 01:57:50 PM
Right, Every casino has some sort of urgency first.  Such as 24 hour live support.  Quick deposit and withdrawal complete.  Bug free casino.  Display quick winning / winning results.  In case of dice, quick dice result display etc. Then you should look at the name of the company. Since it carries the company identity.  Therefore, the name must be beautiful
Of the most importance to a Casino or Sportsbookie is the functionality of the system.of what use is the name to the customer... the name plays virtually no role for the customer except for the gambling site but, when it comes to site functionality, it serves both parties quiet well. Given that, it preaches legitimacy to have, 24hrs support line, deposit/withdrawal been credited as soon as possible and fair play on games offered working at its optimum! Have that and your gambling site is set to hit the field hard.
Brand name could serve as some click bate advertisement of itself but when you don't have that, you've got campaigns and other forms of advertising to scale you through.

Valid point. Functionality really is important in a gambling site. The functionality will what makes the casino's name be famous and known by different people in different places. This would be the reason to make the players stay. It's quality over the brand name of anything else.

While brand name is important to be a starting point of being known and gathering customers, the functionality is the one players consider for the long run. If a gambling site is not doing their job well such as providing quality services and after sales, they would eventually be left out.
1833  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most rewarding referral system on: June 23, 2022, 12:33:46 PM
Its easy to think of becoming successful in affiliate marketing with youtube channel that has lots of subscribers, it could be possible. In reality, its not  easy. I personally have been there which is why podcast are much better and many have been successful with just choosing a trending topic and discuss it with a guest. However sticking to a particular niche like casino can't be get that much audience.
This is possible, but when we see the one successful youtube channel, we don`t see thousand of the same channels which have no subscribers ever and no one talks about it.
And the same time you need to work hard every day to create new content. If you stop - your channel lose subscribers every day. And the profit falls down every day too.

It could be done however, there's a lot risk that comes with it. Since nowadays most people really aspire to be famous and generate a decent amount of income, most people pursue being a vlogger and content creator. In fact, there's a lot of newbies trying to gain more subscribers each day because they seem to think it's an easy way out of hardship in life because of the amount of money it pays.

However, creating a content isn't really easy as what it's suppose to seem. You have to be creative as much as possible and think of a subject matter that would get the interest and attention of the audience. If someone is going to stick in gambling as a subject matter, the audience would be limited since not everyone gambles. Searching topic about what to create could be a challenge too since gambling is controversial. It is possible, but it has its cons.
1834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can a new sportsbook gain trust? on: June 22, 2022, 12:46:42 PM
If it's all about testing the new sportsbook and they want to be tested out by the community. It will be a normal thing to do to deposit in newer sportsbook.

But if you're the type of bettor that don't have the idea if it's a new one or not, you better stay to the best bookies that you know.

Every sportsbook went through the same difficulty of being known because the start is the hardest. I think there's no secret on it as long as you know the process, marketing, building rapport to the gamblers and so on.
because it takes time to be trusted by many people. Gambling platform providers, not just sportsbooks, must go through a long process. and providing the best service, that's what all gamblers hope for.
no matter whether losing or winning. when gamblers get good service, they feel comfortable and safe when playing. of course, no customers will leave.

I agree. Being trusted by the people is a long process. Trust cannot be gained overnight. There's really no shortcut in being trusted and known by the masses because you'll have to prove yourself and your services that they are worthy of the trust and reliance. In order to be trusted, the quality of service must be competitive as well as the way how they handle issues lf their clients.

Gaining and retaining customers require determination, patience, and good strategy. A sportsbook must be ready to face everything so that they'll be known, believed in, and be in par with others sportsbook.
1835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Effectively Maximize Profits from Online Crypto Casinos on: June 22, 2022, 11:47:49 AM
Make sure you always cashout a portion of the winning by setting up an amount that you want to bet and what's over that , you will cash out and start over again. This way , you will have some protection if you get a bad hand or some bad hands in a row , you'll still have some profit already on the side. This is what I've used to do with whenever I have multiple winnings no matter what I play but always cashout some profits in that situation.

I know several players who act approximately according to this algorithm, but in the end it turns into a farce: after winning, they withdraw part of the funds and continue to play. If they lose (most of the time they do) they get the money back and keep playing on it. What this leads to, I think is obvious  Grin In general, the problem with gambling is that you will always lose. The only thing worth discussing is how to manage the gigantic jackpot-type winnings.
This was also my strategy as well as my friend on a gambling platform however it really still depends especially if you will still continue gambling after withdrawing your funds on the platform. I guess this strategy best works if you've won a huge amount of winnings or you're ending your gambling activity for the day since there's no point if you will continue gambling after your withdrawal on the platform.

The thing is, It's very hard to stop playing gambling if you are winning because you are always expecting to win more on your next bet so stopping when you already win will just make it temporary and you will still come back gambling whenever your remaining balance keep losing until you lose it all.

I have this kind of experience which I already won 2030$  then withdraw the 2000$ and play the remaining 30$.  I lose the remaining balance and I chase it to recover until I lose everything including my bank roll. This bad luck hit always when you are so eager to chase your loses.

I think it's really just a matter of self-discipline and knowing where and when to draw the line to set boundaries that could be beneficial to your health and overall well-being. If a person established his boundaries in gambling, no matter how many consecutive winnings he'll have, the moment he spent all his budget allocation intended to gambling, he'll stop.

This way it's going to be a routine and he'll not go overboard that could result to being addicted in gambling. In addition, the winnings he'll have could be alloted to something else other than gambling most especially if he has a goal aimed to reach using gambling winnings.
1836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Length of Time Before You Learn All These Gambling Terms Or Jargons on: June 22, 2022, 11:17:52 AM
I could remember when I started gambling, it was very hard for me to understand many gambling terms because I was not used to them. I had to meet friends especially those that are very good in football sport to take me along when ever they are going to place bets at sportbet shops. Most time I had to stop what I'm doing to follow them so I can learn very well. Gambling is not easy especially when you are just a newbie in it. It takes good friends that are good I'm gambling for one to learn and understand gambling very quickly.

Indeed, earning gambling jargons could really take some time. It's nice to be familiar with the terms little by little. Knowing some terms one step at a time is an accomplishment already especially to those people who really want to learn how to gamble and understand how gambling works, especially the strategies and techniques.

We can learn some by reading articles in the Internet and by reading posts here in forum and then checking the terms you don't know. It'll be a long and continuous process because words also evolve, but it'll be fun to learn every once and then.
1837  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid omicron version 2.0 monkeypox coming and markets on: June 21, 2022, 12:58:33 PM
Needless to say its bullish for markets we gona have more stimulus and even more lower rates.
Off course lock downs....but ask youserlf do you want to get btc to 100k or meet with your friends and enjoy freedom.
Off course we want money becouse later its more fun with friends and with MONEY Wink
So i welcome the moneypox im not scared becouse i know its good for the markets.

I don't know where you get your "topics" from, but something looks very wrong in that "world" of yours.
Monkeypox is nowhere near the first waves of COVID; monkeypox doesn't have the potential for lock downs and more drama.

Even more, one has to have very badly broken inner compass if he wants to see his money grow, no matter if people around him are dying.
Plus, you are newbie, so I will not be as harsh as you'd deserve (maybe I'm also in a good mood because of Pizza Day), so I'll just say that Bitcoin price goes up and down with or without worldwide problems. If there will be drama on monkeypox, sooner or latter it won't matter for bitcoin price.

In crisis fed must provide stimulus and stimuls goes in markets people will stay home and invest it creates bull market
Just u to know Wink

Monkeypox isn't as severe as covid-19 based on the articles that I've read. Its fatality rate isn't as high as covid. In fact, according to WHO, it only ranges from 3 to 6% and its severity will vary from one person to another. If you have been vaccinated during your younger years against smallpox, its most likely protect you against monkeypox as well. Perhaps this is because there is a connection among the strains. Other than that, there's really no need to worry. Monkeypox will not cause another lockdowns and stricter security measures such as closing of borders. Hence, fear from it must be eliminated.

In addition, this crisis if ever it will be spread in different areas does not really guarantee a stimulus in the market trend. What's the most likely reason to be a catalyst is the inflation that's becoming more and more evident and felt in various places.
1838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 8 months low, no better time than now. on: June 21, 2022, 12:28:57 PM
"No better time than now" sounds like a FOMO statement. You can buy now but don't go all in. You will have a lot of time to slowly build your portfolio until the next halving.

....He always waits to buy at lows because he wants to see a reversal. When it reverses he never buys because he waits until it's confirmed, not a fakeout. Then he finally buys at the end of a bull market because it's finally confirmed to him and holds because he wants big profit - at least 100%. Then it corrects and he holds as long as he's in profit because in his mind it can bounce back at any minute. Finally he sells it all at a loss and goes into this state of depression where he doesn't talk to me for months. He suddenly appears when we're well in the next bull market to ask if he should buy because bitcoin is starting to look good again, and so it goes for the last 8 years, or so. Believe it or not, he first bought bitcoin in 2015 and after all these years made not more than 10%.
There's something wrong with your friend. Is he familiar with trading? I think even a newbie trader would spot a consolidation phase which usually takes a long time before we enter a bull market.

I guess OP has chosen wrong set of words to what he is actually pertaining because I don't see any clear connection about his statements and the title he picked. This could cause FOMO for those newbies who aren't used to nature of bitcoin and other cryptocurrency yet. Indeed, there's still a lot of time to buy crypto. This bearish market won't end sooner and perhaps it would be a little later. Hence, it is a great opportunity for those people who are planning t enter and invest in crypto to actually make a research about what they are trying to get themselves into.

Regarding the mismanagement, miscalculation, and misinterpretation of someone's friend, it really does happen. Some people aren't just really that good in doing technical analysis that they fail to see what is ahead. Instead of profiting, some ends up losing. This is the unfortunate reality. Although this can be helped by enrolling to few lessons about trading. Since the quoted writer's friend has been into crypto for about 5 to 6 years and haven't grown his assets yet more than 10%, I guess there's something wrong with how he does things and it's a matter of time to change techniques and strategy on how he does trading for a positive change.
1839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies: Don't panic and learn to hold on: June 21, 2022, 11:53:27 AM
During this bearish market season, it's really a normal occurrence that most people tend to panic and sell their assets because of the fear that they might lose all of their investments the moment the market continues to crash. It's a normal feeling that people get afraid of the worst possible scenarios. After all, money is hardly earned nowadays. However, if a person that entered the crypto world has an organized plan beforehand, the market fluctuation and even market crash won't get into them.

Proper risk assessment and management are needed in order to survive the crypto world. One must not do things hastily so that he won't regret  big time later on. In addition, doing an in depth research is essential so that you won't be shaken once things go haywire. This is because you already established a plan and has bigger picture in mind before actually risking. Which makes it great because you won't be eaten up by anxiety.

Although I also understand those people who still choose to sell in this bearish time. Because we have different plans and strategy. Perhaps cutting losses is what would work for them because they are for the short term only. Meanwhile, for those here for the long term won't be bothered so much. In fact, they would be celebrating because this will be the best time to buy in low position.
1840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe it is to invest in cryptocurrency on: June 21, 2022, 04:19:28 AM
I can say bitcoin is safe for investment but I can't give account of other cryptocurrencies. In general cryptocurrency can be safe to some set of persons who knows what cryptocurrency is, those who can have patience to hodl for long. I don't think cryptocurrency is safe to invest for those who want to make money so fast.

Agree. Those people who are knowledgeable about cryptocurrency can testify that it is safe to invest in crypto. Because cryptocurrency is not a scam. As long as you do your proper research about a coin, you can benefit from it. Most especially if you know how to do right technical analysis and not really relying on lucky guessing.

Those people who often call crypto a scam or not a safe thing to invest with are not really knowledgeable about it or perhaps experienced to be scammed using crypto as a bait. Often times, people use crypto trading to lure their victims. Promising hefty amount of money in exchange for some funds. Despite this being too good to be true, unfortunately, people still fall victim to it.

It's safe to invest in crypto as long as you know how to countercheck and do a background check of every coin, its founder, and history. As long as you are not gullible and knows how to do proper risk assessment and management, your money will be okay.
