1801  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Report: PH ranks 2nd in ‘ownership of cryptocurrency’ on: July 02, 2022, 02:57:39 PM
The pandemic and axie was indeed the main reasons kung bakit nahumaling ang mga pilipino sa cryptocurrency, though hindi naman lahat. The majority of our population still doesn't accept and trust the whole cryptocurrency thing. Pero sana sa future ay maging gamit na ito ng mga tao para naman mas lalong mag-hype at iwas inflation na rin.

1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 02, 2022, 12:09:08 PM
Gambling apps that involves no money is still giving you an idea about how gambling works and you might be tempted to gamble again later on especially if you gain skills on those gambling apps.

If you really want to quit gambling, you should disconnect from any gambling games or activities, this might not look easy but slowly you can be good again, just stay committed on quitting and you can recover from that addiction.

I agree.

Playing in gambling apps as a way of rehabilitating yourself won't work because you'll get bored with fake money, and you're gonna think that you don't want to waste your time on such thing, so you'll start playing gambling again using real money. Gambling addiction can't be solve by playing a gambling app, it should be done by the help of professional and dedication to quit gambling for good.
1804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inherited gambling on: July 02, 2022, 11:20:23 AM
I know we are greatly influenced by the environment we are born into and sometimes become gamblers because of where we find ourselves, i also considered the possibility of gambling being hereditary and found out that it is also possible, that is gambling can be hereditary ,
Quote
Gambling is linked to a gene that is passed on through generations and a new study claims that it is passed on to both sons and daughters alike.
now come to think of it since it is difficult to escape our genetic makeup,
- Would you blame an individual who becomes addicted to gambling because it is wired to his DNA?

-Can their gambling problem be put in check by regular methods?

-Will the addiction be worse than someone who picked up the habit?

I've read the same scenario but with psychopaths being involved. I just heard about this now so I decided to take a look at several articles regarding this matter and turns out that there are several studies that proves and back up the claim that gambling might be hereditary most especially the pathological gambling. Genetics really play a role in almost everything that we are. Genes could possibly predetermine what kind of future we will have, but I still believe that despite having a gene that says someone would be like this and the like, we can still change it and we have the freedom to choose the path that we want to take.

Genes might be able to somehow predict, but it doesn't necessarily mean that it will surely happen. It still lies in our very own hands and decision making. In addition, aside from genetics, environmental factor could be the one to influence someone to gamble to. The upbringing of a child is a big deal in impacting their development until they reach their adulthood. Hence, if a child will grow up with parents addicted in gambling, they might think that it is totally normal and okay and probably do it too.
1805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons why people avoid KYC in gambling casino ? on: July 01, 2022, 03:20:08 PM
KYC is useless unless it is the type of KYC that requires you to take a live selfie after you submitted your I.D. But most of the KYC that I've seen doesn't require a selfie to verify that the I.D you've submitted is really you, not your parents I.D or someone's I.D. For me, I don't really trust this process because you're at a disadvantage if you submitted a legitimate identification of yours, since you don't know where they are really going to use it.
1806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: July 01, 2022, 02:40:24 PM
I believe it's a NO.

Because if a gambler bought bitcoin at any amount, it's still the same. For example, a gambler has 1 bitcoin in his account, and Bitcoin is his cryptocurrency use in gambling, the winnings he is going to receive is also in Bitcoin, to technically it does not affect him, unless he is going to withdraw the Bitcoin in his wallet that he bought @$20,000 for example and the planning to convert it in USDT but the price has dropped to $17,000, then that's a different story.
1807  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Every "Bitcoin is Dead Headline" is a Buying Opportunity on: July 01, 2022, 01:46:59 PM
When Bitcoin pumps, people always says "I should've bought earlier" and when it dumps they say "Bitcoin is dead". These are their forever ritual, people who don't really want to get out of their comfort zone and have so many regrets in their life. I don't bother to listen to them, I always do my own stuff and continue my Bitcoin everyday life. If they are scared, that's because they don't simply know Bitcoin, and I do, that's what makes us different from them.
1808  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are we going to recover or continue to dump? on: July 01, 2022, 01:11:45 PM
What are your current opinions on the cryptocurrency market?

As always, we are going to experience both, that's how the market works. To make it simple, as long as we don't reach the bottom, we are not going to recover. No one knows the bottom price, that's why it is important to have enough patient and only buy the dip according to your gathered information and not based on your random idea alone. Don't also panic if the price keeps on dumping after you bought on a certain price.
1809  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Alt coins are About to pump again! on: June 30, 2022, 03:43:45 PM
Hopefully it does, but the market is very unpredictable so it could go both ways. No one knows what's gonna happen next but for sure, keeping your coins safe in your stock wallet is indeed profitable in the long run rather than risking it on futures even though you're not knowledgeable about it. A very long patient is the key to make profits in this time of red candles.
1810  Local / Pilipinas / Re: DOST naglunsad ng Blockchain Training Program -- on: June 30, 2022, 02:58:25 PM
1811  Economy / Gambling / Re: KYC casino or no-KYC casino, but with no bonuses/no cashback? on: June 30, 2022, 01:57:57 PM
If you were given a choice, would you play regularly in a cryptocurrency casino WITH KYC, and with added benefits like first deposit/welcome bonuses and cashbacks?

Or would you like to play regularly in a casino, WITHOUT KYC, BUT also without the welcome bonuses, cashbacks and other extra rewards?
For me I don't mind doing a kyc and of course I like it when they have bonuses because to be honest this is also one of the reason why I will wager on a casino. If ever there are no bonuses being offered I think I can easily quit playing a gambling, which is also a good thing I guess? Because there will be no more stress and no more losses for me.

For someone that are allergic with kyc, they will surely go for a non kyc gambling site and they can take it even if there's no bonuses whatsoever being offered. What is interesting is that a no kyc gambling site can still attract players even without bonuses and any other perks but a kyc casino cant possibly do that.

Bonuses are really eye catching and encouraging for players to try a website and play in it. This is because of course, who wouldn't want some bonus that comes along with just playing in a site. This bonuses are given free hence, would they even think twice of playing if there's little to no consequences at all, right. However if KYC will be the topic, the answer would most likely to be divided. Because some people do not really like it, while some people are just fine with it.

I guess, this just boils down on personal preference. We have different taste and we have our reasons why we choose something. For those in favor with KYC, perhaps they are just not bothered with their identity being known by the platform or site. Maybe they aren't really paranoid about privacy and confidentiality. Meanwhile, for those aren't really fond of KYC, maybe they are very much particular about their personal information. Anonymity is important to them and they prefer to just have a good time playing without having a record gambling and the likes. And maybe they just don't like the hassle of undergoing such.

We do have an option regarding this and we shouldn't be limited by other people's opinion. We do us. After all, we have free will.
1812  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you know how to trust online sportsbooks? on: June 29, 2022, 01:18:57 PM
We will only believe that a sportsbook casino site is trusted when we see that it is licensed.Once the sports book casino site is licensed we will find it in the casino site web series. Then people will talk good about it and if it is popular among all, we will consider it trusted.
This is misconception, gambling licenses that many online sportsbook used e.g. curacao license didn't protect the users if the sportsbook turn become scam. It's just make the sportsbook is more professional since they're spent some money and follow the regulation. After all, the reputation and trustworthy the sportsbook is depend on the site itself. I've remembered 1xshit have a gambling license before, but as we know 1xshit is a scam site and it prove a casino with license can't be consider as legit casino.

Gambling license shouldn't really be the basis of trust. It should be based on the website's performance and honest feedback of the players. While license could be somehow an assurance, it doesn't really guarantee that the website will not scam its players. Just like you mentioned, there are existing sites not just the one you're pertaining to, that has a license but ends up scamming players.

I guess it's really the way how they handle the issue. So for the newbies, before trusting a website, make sure to check the scam and accusations board to check if they have pending issues. Unresolved issues just mean that they are not really good in addressing the problems of their clients so expect a bad after sales.
1813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Effectively Maximize Profits from Online Crypto Casinos on: June 29, 2022, 11:55:39 AM
snip
My advice is to stop before you lose a lot and never continue playing when you can win a lot, just like that.

It looks easy, but doing it is very difficult because I have experienced it. Limiting access to bankrolls can be a solution but as a gambler, you will be able to find ways to keep depositing money to play gambling. Stopping when you reach a certain number of wins is similar to my suggestion but here, the difference is that you say a certain amount, whereas I don't say how much.

Perhaps establishing a boundary and limit before playing regardless of prize won will help and at the same time, stopping the moment your budget allocation intended for betting runs out. That way, you are setting something for yourself. A rule that must be obeyed so that you won't get addicted and lose yourself in the process. It's important to draw boundaries after all. Because the moment you got caught up with your emotions while playing, you will have a hard time to stop. And this is why some people really get addicted in gambling. They fail to manage their betting habits resulting to being dependent in playing even if they lose so much.
1814  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: June 29, 2022, 11:02:47 AM
Some new gamblers will find it difficult to choose the game they like. because in the casino there are many choices of games. and looking for luck in the game, it is necessary to browse all the games available in the casino.
The variety of games in the casino always gives the player the opportunity to try a new game.
If this player is reckless, then, having tried, he will try to win and will make quite a lot of bets.  Maybe until he loses everything.  So even in one large casino you can play like this for quite a long time and a lot.  And if we take into account that there are dozens of such casinos, then we will understand that the whole world of gambling is entangled in different types of games, just like a cobweb.  A web that entangles gamblers.  And many players begin to suffer from gambling addiction.
Gambling is all about interest and sometimes interest can grow to addiction. What normally prompt many gambling addiction is because of what the gamblers are enjoying in a particular Casino. When you are making profits whether small or big from a gambling platform, the urge to gamble more or everyday can grow faster and make the gambler to become addicted to gambling.  We all want a platform where we can gamble with les risk and good profits.

This is why self-restraint is important. The moment someone entered the gambling industry, he must be prepared mentally not only financially. Because as we all know, most people really suffer from addiction in gambling and addiction in gambling is a serious matter. It's not something that someone could overcome in an instant, overnight, or just a few days. It requires intervention of professional, counselling, and rehabilitation. While gambling has advantages, clearly it has disadvantages as well which people must wary about.

Sometimes, gamblers can't really fight the urge to gamble once more right after previous bet because of their drive in winning that sometimes either result to good or bad scenarios. But regardless of the outcome, a gambler must know how to establish and wehn to establish boundaries to avoid regret and addiction in it.
1815  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Brand Name Vs Site Functionality? Or Both? on: June 29, 2022, 10:21:28 AM
Gambling brand is what gets the attention of most people since if the brand name is unique and easy to understand, gambling functionality is also a point to reckon with but then we need to know that brand name is what attracts the players.

Some brand has already made their name through and has gained the interest of the people just by tue mention of their name, do you ever thought about it that what could have been the reasons behind such? It's because they have paid the sacrifice needed in the past through thick and thin challenges of competitors, government regulations, poor sale, poor market demand and sales and the likes all constituted to the success story behind the reputable brand name many companies or organizations has today.
Branding and marketing is very important in sales, you can have a product that hundreds of competitors with similar product or service but one price is higher than the other, nine out of ten customers go for the service with a more popular name. Good marketing can give you big sales but functionality sustains the integrity of the company. It's funny how people buy the name rather than the product itself.

This is true. Branding, marketing, and site functionality are really important in a website if someone really wants their website to be discovered and be in par with the existing ones. Having a good name and promoting methods can make the user interested in visiting the site and perhaps try it as well. Making them curious about your site through your name is one way to garner customer. At the same time, effective advertisement will also help you.

However, after you incorporate the two, you must be able to keep in check that your website is fully functional. This will help you to make and maintain a good reputation which will be your stepping stone in getting more clients to play in your site. The games content as well as transaction processes are important to focus on, together with after sales service to satisfy the players beyond their expectations.
1816  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto Gambling Review Site on: June 28, 2022, 01:11:33 PM
But if you see that there are a bunch of unknown casinos and some of them have been accused a lot of times in this forums of being scams then you know the website is not worth your time, as most likely they do not care about the reputation of the casinos at all and they just want to be paid to promote those casinos.
It seems to be very difficult if we can see honest casino review sites. Moreover, as long as the casinos have much money and they can easily pay for the sites to promote and make good reviews. many accounts may be also created to make fake reviews. This is not only happening in the new review sites but also most all reviews sites even if they have been popular enough. That is why we cannot trust this kind of site fully. We also need to gather all information needed from other sites or forums. Moreover, if they get scam accusations from this forum or even others, it is better to avoid this much.

It's really true that some casinos offer this kind of set up for the sake of having a good promotion of their website. This is done for some of the casinos to increase their reach and of course, the clients they will be getting. This is one of the reasons why we should really check if the reviews are legitimate and are written by a first-hand experienced player or just a made up story for painting a good reputation of specific site.

Digging deeper and more information is needed so that we won't be fooled. Checking several review sites and other forums could be done to prevent falling into traps of fake reviews and suggestions of a good site.
1817  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID had widened the gap between world's richest and poorest on: June 28, 2022, 12:34:42 PM
When Covid occurs, it is certain that social restrictions will occur, the number of limits makes various businesses and investments stop so that the economy is not normal, this is what we fear because inflation continues to increase while income stops, and naturally if it causes poverty.

Covid-19 really brought a whole new level of challenge to us. It brought every worse possible scenarios in a short span of tjme especially to those countries that aren't prepared enough for a pandemic. With this, a lot of negative effects happened in the economy of most countries in the world. Not only the third world country were negatively affected, but also the soaring ones. It was indeed a challenge to contain and at the same time fight the effects of the virus to the economy.

Additionally, the actions and lack thereof of the government took a great role in shaping the nation of what it is today due to the pandemic. Some government which aren't competitive just made it even worse for the average and working classes to survive the pandemic due to mishandling of funds and prioritizing other activities instead of the relevant ones. Hence, resulting to decline of economic growth and inflation rate hitting higher rapidly.
1818  Economy / Economics / Re: Should we embrace a cashless policy?? on: June 28, 2022, 12:00:28 PM
Indeed, some people are doing this for many years already but it is never enough to enlighten others to adapt to the system knowing that they don't have the capacity to do it. In any form of cashless payment, nothing has been largely compared to fiat money which means that the majority are still reliant to paper money for their convenience and are most likely don't have a reason to stop using it. The word convenience makes people to choose what they want and a particular method of payment.
I think the irreversible process of switching to non-cash payments has been going on for a long time. All governments, with the help of the banking system, are very strongly promoting this form of payment, of course, they primarily pursue the goal of controlling the financial condition of their citizens. But it is very difficult to draw the attention of the government to the possibilities of cryptocurrency in non-cash payments. But the main role in this will be played by startups that will introduce blockchain into the banking sector, such as Africunia. Therefore, everything is still ahead.

Cashless policy promotion has really been long promoted by the government and other businesses and establishments. It's encouraged to transition in cashless policy because of its convenience and ease of using. The accessibility of digital banking and wallets make it easier for people to make transactions in a snap.

Slowly, it is evident that we are adapting to the dynamic changes which is for the better. Because we also have to keep in par with other countries that offer such. However, the elders and the less privileged ones should be taken into consideration. We can't just hastily transition in cashless payment. Instead we can transition little by little and also retain the traditional payment method for those who aren't able to use and keep pace with digital method of transacting.
1819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ignore the dip and Invest in Bitcoin for long term on: June 28, 2022, 11:19:23 AM
Take Bitcoin as a long term investment and just forget it like it’s in a long-term investment account. Don’t let your emotions get too much into it else you might make the wrong decision and sell at the wrong time. The  best thing you can do is to not look at it, even if crypto is going up or down. That’s exactly what I do especially now that it’s dipping, I don’t want to stress over it because I believe if I hold and wait patiently Bitcoin is going to rise again.
My all time investment strategy is buying more when crypto is dipping, holding and selling back when it increases. In 2020 I bought ethereum when it was $700 and sold when it was $4000 in 2021. Within 2020 and 2021 when the price was going up and down, I decided to ignore the dip and hold on to it till I eventually sold at a good price.
This is the right time to buy more cryptocurrencies especially Bitcoin because the  more people come into the market and increases their demand for it, its value continues to grow rapidly.

I'm practicing the same strategy. Buying bitcoin and holding for long-term investment for the future. I use the technique buy and then forget so that I won't touch my assets. I just keep them for the long term and not bother to withdraw whenever there's a dump because I know how the market moves. This could be beneficial to some people who are easily shaken.

I've seen many people who do this method too and it works as long as the coin you invested upon have the potential to have greater value in the future. Of course, someone still has to do proper technical analysis and do cutloss if necessary to avoid further losses if it's really counted as loss and not paperloss anymore.
1820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's preventing bitcoin from worldwide adoption? on: June 28, 2022, 10:52:35 AM
Stop thinking about government's restrictions for this time. We have to take a look at people's minds to see why they ain't embrace Bitcoin and worldwide adoption for it. Can you guess it? Yes, it was because not everyone wants to be a holder or I meant a Bitcoin investor because of Bitcoin or crypto volatility. It is relatively easy to see the high volatility discourages people from using it. If you think Bitcoin can be comparable to gold, you're wrong. Gold has a lot of other uses which make it not likely to go down, or lose its value.

You have a valid point. Bitcoin is not for everyone and we have to accept that truth. I just don't know why some members here and user of bitcoin can't swallow that idea. After all, we have our own preferences in life and in the things we want to do. Some people just don't like to be part of bitcoin and that's it. Despite its advantages, they knew in themselves that they can't just enter it and that's okay. Perhaps there are other fields and areas of financial platform that they are more comfortable with. Still, to each his own. We can educate, but we cannot impose our own beliefs.
