1781  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1-5 min scalping on binance is it worth it on: July 09, 2022, 01:37:08 PM
Scalping in that very short period of timeframe requires a lot of analysation and good decision making. You need to have fast internet to cope up with the sudden price change and end your trade when you hit the price you want. I don't put stop loss when I'm scalping since it is a quick trade only. I always pick coins that has high volatility like Bitcoin because that's where your profit are.

Don't scalp tokens that has a low volatility because you'll get frustrated about your gains in that 5mins timeframe.
1782  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: July 09, 2022, 12:09:28 PM
Awesome facts.

I didn't know that gambling existed already way back in BC. It's amazing how people develop or invented such thing that would give them entertainment and money. The dice in the BC is way cooler than the dice we have right now, I'm truly amazed on how they created such perfect shape and thought about the rules on how you will win or lose.
1783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inherited gambling on: July 09, 2022, 11:11:24 AM

This is a good comparison, we should understand that it is our choice to get addict into something and most of the time if the Children sees the addiction of their parents, they started to hate it. In the situation of my friend, his parents is a liquor addict and when his parent get drunk, they became insane and starts to hurt his siblings so this kind of trauma makes them hate beer, and that is also a proof that addiction can’t be inherit. We all have our own choices here especially if you are already on a legal age, always choose what’s best for you.
That is correct personal choice is a different thing and addiction is an other. But we can not say it at all that just because our parents were smokers - kids are smoking. My father was a chain smoker. But none of my sibling likes smoking at all. Why it has not been transferred through genes? because it is not in DNA
Yes, you are right. If the environment around the children does not have children who smoke, it could be that later when they grow up, no one will smoke either.
As for adults who have already smoked, it will remain like that.
There are also those whose fathers don't smoke at all, but their children are surrounded by smoking children, which makes them smoke as well.
Maybe it's not related to DNA but maybe how we can choose which one to use and that's more personal.

Children would either copy what they see on their parents or question them, it's their only two choices. If their parents are addicted to gambling, then it would cause chaos into their family that gives children truma, that's why they'll hate their parents addiction forever and will not do the same like their parents. Mostly children who has a worst environment turned out to be a good example to other people, some are worst than their parents.
1784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Recent Experience at a Land-Based Casino on: July 08, 2022, 02:16:58 PM
I recently visited a land-based casino after a long time to gamble, have some drinks and enjoy live music with a couple of my good buddies. Not long after we settled in, we heard one of the casino workers yelling at one of the gamblers. He said, "Sir please you have to leave now. You come here every day and you keep losing. Please be considerate of your wife and your newborn babies." The backstory is that this particular man is a very popular gambler at the casino not because of his winnings but because he keeps losing. Despite his losses, he would return to the casino the next day to gamble. From the story, his wife had just been delivered with twins. I would later find out that the casino worker is his nephew.

If you were the casino manager would you fire the casino worker for interfering with your business or would you ban the gambler from visiting the casino?

I am not going to fire the casino worker just because of his good intention behind those words he said. But if it is a heartless manager who only wants money by those kind of people that has an obvious gambling addiction problem, then for sure he is going to fire that casino worker. But if we're going to be professional about it, it is indeed a violation of work code especially in a casino to dictate a player of what to do next.
1785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any changes experienced within body - Gambling??? on: July 08, 2022, 01:23:10 PM
Well, when you start gambling, you will eventually get stressed and then you will show all the symptoms of stress. Mental changes that you might see is that you will be more angry than usual, you will feel depressed, you will feel somewhat lonely, you will feel overwhelmed. Physical changes that you might see is that you will feel more tired, you won't be able to sleep properly, physically deteriorating a lot and all those symptoms you have mentioned.
I think when showing signs of stress or stress it has often happened without gambling I'm sure it has often happened like that, it's just that for people who do gambling I think it will be easier to get hit and will often feel depressed when he loses a large amount very many, but for those who already understand the flow of gambling that can potentially make their assets disappear instantly then it will not make them feel depressed because they have the intention to seek entertainment in gambling places.

I disagree.

Even though they know what's coming, people feel stress in general, it doesn't have to be anything, it just happen. Now people who seek entertainment also feel stress in gambling because sometimes, they didn't get the entertainment they seek. Not winning is also the reason why in the long run they feel unsatisfied and thinking that it was just a waste of time in money.
1786  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which crypto sportbooks are VPN friendly on: July 08, 2022, 12:34:37 PM
I don't see much difference between paid and free VPN. As for the best speed, maybe it is, but for me personally it is not critical, and the free one gives me the speed I need. And in the best disguise of the country and city from where you access the Internet, as well as the best protection of some of your personal data and their potential theft on paid VPNs, I strongly doubt it. Whatever the devs of these paid VPNs promise, I think they are all somehow controlled by the competent supervisory authorities in each country.

I understand your sentiments. Despite having free VPNs readily available, some people still prefer the paid ones. Why? Maybe because of the convenience it offers. Those free VPNs surely have their catch because if they don't, they won't profit. Most of the things we get for free are not actually for free. There's always something in exchange in using something without actually paying money such as containing ads on it so they can finance and profit still.

In paid VPNs and in other paid apps or platforms, the convenience and other advanced features are being paid. So if money isn't really a problem for you, then you would opt purchasing instead of undergoing hassle. Although still, i still stand my ground to better check tos first before using vpn to avoid further trouble.
1787  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which crypto sportbooks are VPN friendly on: July 08, 2022, 11:43:06 AM
Dunno if there is a list somewhere but i was wondering if some of the crypto sportbooks are VPN friendly and which sportbooks are those?

In my country unfortunately a lot of the crypto sportbooks are blocked, was wondering if some of them offer solution to it.

Been looking through older posts but cant find a clear answer about it.

Using a VPN to bypass a casino is a risky move. I suppose you already knew that because if not, you are putting your bard earned funds at the risk of being lost in an instant. As you can see, there's really only a few gambling site that supports the usage of VPN and proxy for security reasons such as avoiding abuse.

If you really want to use a VPN, I suggest you take a look first in the casino's terms and conditions as well as their policies before actually using one. Because violating their rules comes with a price and that might be your accounts activation or withholding your funds. Better option would be finding a casino that is not restricted on your area and play there if it's suitable to what you are looking for. That way you are saving yourself from trouble.
1788  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ano ang plano niyo ngayong bear market? on: July 07, 2022, 12:57:23 PM

1789  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Play to Earn Game on: July 07, 2022, 12:22:49 PM

Same here kabayan.

1790  Economy / Gambling / Re: KYC casino or no-KYC casino, but with no bonuses/no cashback? on: July 06, 2022, 11:07:47 AM
I can choose whatever is available as long as the casino involve are trustworthy ,   because I have played multiple times in a casino that does not requiring KYC but when i need withdrawal they require me that i comply because i trusted them.

but of course those who offers bonuses is what i love to choose because of the advantage i can get and the opportunity to win bigger.
There is no problem if you play at a trusted casino because they continue to try to maintain their reputation and will even provide attractive bonuses for you and other members. The bonuses are given so members can feel at home playing there and for KYC, maybe they will ask you to do it, especially if you cross the limits they set beforehand. During this time, we are often asked to do KYC if the withdrawal of money that we make exceeds the limit from the casino. And as long as it's a trusted casino, that's no problem.
well that's what I already mentioned, that I only comply and play in casinos that I fully trust and this is what I do long time now.
there are occasions that I was asked to provide KYC and yes i gave them and my funds was released easily .
sometime it is the system that tell them to seek for KYC and I don't see any problem having that as long as I trust the casinos.
this is not any problem if we Pass kyc on trusted casino site . and which site become active for long time and which site is popular . but i am afraid to pass kyc for new site . i think it can use our personal document for any illegal purpose.

Gambling website KYC is really a subjective matter. To some, they are okay with KYC but with reservations and under several conditions just like you are. While some people do not really like it and are totally against the idea of it even if a big time casino is involved. This is mainly because some people still prefer to be anonymous and doesn't want any transaction regarding gambling to reflect on their transaction processes.

Getting the trust of clients of the newly founded casinos will be a tedious task because of course, they still don't have the name and reputation to uphold. Hence, it will be better for these sites to go non-KYC first and then perhaps later transition with requesting KYC once they have made their brand name popular and their website widely played.
1791  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you know how to trust online sportsbooks? on: July 05, 2022, 10:57:31 AM
He did say something about the reviews but about the customer support, usually it's already presented in a gambling review site or it can also be spotted as a reply at the gambling sites ANN thread located in the forum but the best thing is that we will check it all by our selves only to see if the review that we see somewhere is legit because there are also reviews that are meant to damage the reputation of a gambling site and there are some which are biased and they do it because they are being paid to do so but I wonder what are those factors you mean where experience and time is needed. Does it mean you need to continue playing on that gambling site to know those factors? Hhmm, that seems hard.
Every person has their mind set - some people give value to one thing while the other give value to other stuff.
However at every step there are many important thing which matters the most. Review - Customer care - RTP - Bonuses what not!
Majority of people would really be going after on reputation/popularity before they would tending to touch up a certain platform or site and some do mind or getting interested into those bonuses and perks disregarding the

reputation whether it would be new or already old as long it does really get their interest then they would make involvement which is not really surprising for some but if we are really just making use of our common sense
then it would really be just normal for us to choose into those sites who had proven out theirselves but its not bad to consider new ones but of course there are several factors which would really be needed
to be proven or checked out first but this is actually not really that hard to see those or check things and make some checklist before making deposits.

Valid point. Most people will really go after popularity and reputation if they are new to something. They wouldn't really easily trust a casino or a gambling website if it is newly stablished because if it's also new, who will testify to prove it's worth the money? It's practical to just play into already famous ones with lots of reviews already than to risk into new gambling site with no assurance that it is safe and enjoyable.

But still, to each his own. There are people who are risk taker wherein it's their joy and hobby to explore new things. Some are totally okay discovering new website to play with as long as they can get their money's worth in the end and get to feel the thrill. Perhaps also sharing the information to other people such as in the community.
1792  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: July 05, 2022, 09:42:27 AM
Security and stability of a gambling site is of course very important. I think behind the scenes at every gambling site there are people working day and night monitoring the case and constantly checking for weaknesses in the system. They are also learning more and more. Online gambling is something that has been around for a long time, so of course the margins of error also get smaller and smaller over time. Only arbitrage betting remains an unsolvable problem unfortunately.
Well, the issue of arbitration is somewhat more complex, it is necessary to point out that when there is a vulnerability and whoever discovers it does not say so, they only exploit the vulnerability for their own benefit and this is something that many casinos, no matter how much they monitor their security. Sometimes they do not see it, the old problems can be many, and if we start to see today the problems that are generated in some sites are many that continue to put in check sites that are new, that have an outstanding staff and security specialist and even so, vulnerabilities continue to be achieved, it really is a very difficult issue for casinos to control, only the oldest and oldest casinos manage to achieve this type of security, due to their experience.
No doubt, the security team is the should be and consist the most important part of the developers of a gambling site. As, they are charged with detecting and closing loopholes that could be exploited by prospective users/customers but, most aren't efficient in this and you can't blame them in entire. In other for platforms to spurn patronage, they tend to over leverage certain systems like there bonus offerings and this is where most customers look out to explore. More over, it becomes easier to discover certain vulnerability to a platform when you've got over a million persons as would be the case for customers, testing the platform than a mare team of 5-10 persons. Best chances should be in there ability to respond quickly when found!

It's really hard to monitor a website or gambling platform that has many users in it. Securing the gambling website from vulnerabilities to avoid being exploited and abused is a tough job for a team since they have a huge database to manage and look into. In addition, the malware or malfunction of security might happen anytime. It actually happens most during the time the developers aren't expecting it. Hence, some people manage to abuse the error and benefit from it while the gambling site is losing profit.

Although this is why the security team should double time and do their job accordingly because they are being paid to do it right. A strict checking into the system every once in a while is needed to secure the system from glitches. And at the same time, to be able to provide the right punishment for those people who abuse the system by violating the gambling site's terms and policies.
1793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can change of environment have an effect on gambling addiction. on: July 05, 2022, 08:25:13 AM
Can someone still develop the habit of gambling and become an addict even though no one around gambles?
It’s really up to you, no one can know that you are into gambling and changing location or moving into a new environment doesn’t restrict you from playing again. Having a self-control will still matter here because by this, you can be more effective and might be able to stop that gambling addiction to happen. Changing environment will only give you a positive lifestyle, and its really your choice.

Agree. Changing location and environment will really do so much little about someone's gambling addiction because gambling addiction will not heal overnight. It doesn't magically disappear and viola! you are no longer a gambling addict. It doesn't work that way and it never will be. It needs professional intervention such as counselling and rehabilitation. Changing environment could help a bit but it won't guarantee a sure recovery from being addicted in gambling.

Because even though you change environment, but you won't address the root cause and problem of you being a gambling addict, then you will not totally heal. You will just mask yourself up. Probably you'll  stop gambling for a while but after some time of being not active, you'll crave it and try to find it in your system which will cause you to have a setback from old habits. And then eventually, you'll just find yourself being addicted again despite being in a whole new environment. And the cycle will just continue if you will not be treated accordingly.
1794  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin Reduce the Global Wealth and Income Inequalities in 2022? on: July 05, 2022, 06:00:45 AM
It is no longer news that the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. And it is not just happening in LMIC countries but even in developed nations. The wealth and income gap has increased. There's really no middle class anymore.

According to this report by the the World Inequality Lab,
Quote
Contemporary income and wealth inequalities are very large
An average adult individual earns PPP €16,700 (PPP USD23,380) per year in 2021, and the average adult owns €72,900 (USD102,600)1.1 These averages mask wide disparities both between and within countries. The richest 10% of the global population currently takes 52% of global income, whereas the poorest half of the population earns 8.5% of it. On average, an individual from the top 10% of the global income distribution earns €87,200 (USD122,100) per year, whereas an individual from the poorest half of the global income distribution makes €2,800 (USD3,920) per year (Figure 1).
Global wealth inequalities are even more pronounced than income inequalities. The poorest half of the global population barely owns any wealth at all, possessing just 2% of the total. In contrast, the richest 10% of the global population own 76% of all wealth. On average, the poorest half of the population owns PPP €2,900 per adult, i.e. USD4,100 and the top 10% own €550,900 (or USD771,300) on average.

In the country where I reside the prices of everything are skyrocketing but the income remains the same year to year. Is it still possible that in 2022 Bitcoin can help reduce this wealth and income inequality? Bearing in mind that most people were not early adopters.

Honestly speaking, I don't really think that bitcoin will bridge the gap of inequality. I think it's more on stretching the gap between the poor and the rich wider than before because of this innovation for financial independence.

As you can see, majority, if not all of investors in bitcoin either are initially well-off already or does really have the capacity to invest because they have spare money to use. Because if we will define poor, most of them are really struggling to survive even on the daily basis. Hence, most of them will not really think about investment and saving for the future or the hard times because it is already a hard time for them. Instead of putting their money in any type of investment vehicle, they'd rather buy necessities that would help them survive the day, weeks, or months.

This is the sad reality. People who are poor do not really have savings or investment for their future or retirement because what matters to them is that they will survive the day and will satisfy their hunger and thirst. They are living paycheck to paycheck with little to none and even having negative balance due to debts. And then they'll just worry about tomorrow when it's already there. It's really a tough time for those who aren't privileged enough. There are few lucky ones who managed to get out of poverty line, but not everyone will have the same opportunity as them, so we can't really expect other poor people to achieve the same.
1795  Economy / Economics / Re: WHY ITS SO POSITIVE THIS BEARMARKET. on: July 05, 2022, 03:07:57 AM
I have to say that the best thing we could do right now would be having a bit of a fun in the crypto world when it is low, so you could be happy when it is higher again. You are right about the scam part though, there are so many people who end up losing their money in scams that they can't really see the reality of how awesome crypto could become.

I have even seen people who lose their money in scams, or in Luna most recently for example and then claim that ALL crypto is a big scam and everyone should stay away from it. Never truly understood why would bitcoin be a scam for example, if you lost money on Luna? Like what is their connection aside from being coins.

It's indeed a good opportunity to buy and go shopping in crypto while it is in low price point. Like what they say, buy low and sell high. Not the other way around so that you may gain profit as time pass by. It's nice to utilize the bearish market while we can. Most especially if someone is into the long term results. While crypto has been beneficial to most of us, some claim it is a nightmare. This is because of the scams and schemes.

During this 21st century, unfortunately, many people still get scammed and fall victim into made up scheme intended to obtain money in an easy way such as promising the victims in getting huge payout in exchange for a certain amount of money. Most of the time, this scheme offer the victims to let them lend money and they'll return it twice or even 10x the amount they lend. So if the victim lends 10,000, the scammer will say he'll grow the money tenfolds and give it after a certain period of time, example after 15 days.

Despite this being too good to be true, some people still believe this shit without even asking someone for advice or even researching just because they were promised a massive amount. I guess awareness could prevent this from happening, but it's still the responsibility of a person to countercheck and think twice before making a decision. Hence, we can prevent the misconception that cryptocurrency being a scam and could do nothing good in someone's life.
1796  Economy / Economics / Re: You win or you learn. on: July 05, 2022, 02:24:38 AM
Trading when fomo on coin occurs has a very big risk, especially if we lack information about the coin so that we can buy or sell coins at the wrong time so that we get big losses, in the case of Luna for example there I think there must be a lot of people who suffered a big loss due to following the FOMO flow at that time because he thought Luna would recover quickly because of the problem without changing the coin status, but what happened was quite the opposite. So it all can indeed be an expensive lesson.

I've seen many people in the group I belong to suffered massive losses from the sudden unexpected dump of luna. Unfortunately, some of them lost so much beyond what they can afford just because of the hype coming from the mainstream media. This is why it's important to know something before investing to avoid regrets and losses.

Investing because of the hype and fear of missing out might cost you a lot if the odds won't be on your side. Which oftentimes happen because that's how the market moves. Sudden fluctuations happen then and there so you must know how to read the trend and do technical analysis not only lucky guessing.
1797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "I'll wait for the dip!" - The Crypto Noob Cycle on: July 04, 2022, 02:06:02 PM
*Bitcoin drops 10%*  -  "I'll wait for it to drop further"

*Bitcoin drops another 10%*  -  "it's going to drop more"

*Bitcoin drops another 10%*  -  "I'll finally buy at another 10% drop"

*Bitcoin drops another 10%*  -  "looks like it's going to drop further"

*Bitcoin drops another 20%*  -  "I'm not buying. bitcoin is dead"

*Bitcoin reaches the price floor, then rises slowly for months an months*  -  "I'll wait for the dip"

- repeat after every halving cycle -

This is why oftentimes, those people who want to invest in bitcoin miss their chance to actually invest. People are somewhat greedy and fearful at the same time. They want to profit but they are scared of losing. At the same time, they want to invest, but they want it to the lowest possible value they expect and predict bitcoin will have. However, the moment it reached and even go beyond their expectations, they become fearful instead of grabbing the opportunity. And when they missed, they will utter many what if's and feel tremendous regret later on.

This is why it's important not to only decide in investing because of the hype. Someone must b knowledgeable before making an investment. Entering in a good price position even if it's not the lowest possible point wiil still give you a profit over time most especially if you intend to invest for the long term.
1798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man lost everything to Crypto on: July 04, 2022, 01:19:40 PM
So his mindset was gambling and not treating it as investment. Plus I assume that he doesn’t know how to manage risks and isn’t knowing how to put an amount that he can afford losing. So it’s like he’s going all-in or put all of his savings into crypto trading without equipped himself with knowledge in managing his risks.

I feel sorry for that guy though. He’s not alone, as there are so many cases where traders losing a lot of money are ended up either depressed, committint suicide, rehabilitation, robberies, etc.

I agree with you. Some people don't really just know how to do risk management and budget their funds accordingly which is the reason why most gamblers get addicted in gambling. Some people don't know how to set boundaries and do not have the necessary self-discipline in order for them to know when to stop and when to continue playing. I guess this is one of the unfortunate reasons why some become so dependent in gambling even though it will cost them to go bankrupt and even have pile of debts in the long run.

It's really necessary and important to be mentally prepared before entering gambling whether it may be in the form of playing or investing. Because it has its risks and strategies and techniques are essential to survive and have profit over time. Winning and losing are normal occurrence in gambling, but we can minimize losses if someone is educated enough about something.
1799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 04, 2022, 11:47:24 AM
Gambling with fake money won't give the satisfaction you get from betting with real money because you're not taking a risk and you know you are not winning or losing in the real sense. It can't be called gambling if there is no possibility of a true win or loss. I don't think anyone who enjoys gambling would patronize those apps.
For some it may be advantage of having more skill in the real life to win bet while to some people it may seem to be nothing because it is not real they can't feel that Real vibes of playing a bet. Some people prefer to practise some things before they go into real about it.
But playing with fake money can provide a gambling experience and if one can think about it further, it will give him a chance to save his money from losing the consequences of gambling with real money. In addition, even though the experience is not thrilling due to the factor of losing real money, he can still enjoy all the gambling games because the fake money provides an opportunity to experience it. But if, in the end, they decide to use real money, hopefully, they can control themselves not to spend a lot of money on gambling.

Valid point. While it is not as thrilling and exciting compared to gambling using real money, you have a point that playing using fake money could really save someone their fund. If a player is just starting to gamble, it is important to practice strategy and technique on how to win. Being able to play while not really risking your money at hand could be beneficial because you can hone your skills and thinking without worrying of losing.

You can have an experience while enjoying it and at the same time, you will not go bankrupt if ever you mess up. Hence, i guess it's a good idea. Although of course, this is a subjective matter as some people really prefer using real money even they are just starting who are after the thrill and excitement. And maybe after the winning as well. I guess we gotta just do what we want as long as we are disciplined enough. After all, we're adults.
1800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Profitable are Gambling Bots? on: July 04, 2022, 11:02:35 AM
Bot means robots or can be said as one kind of software which is designed to run automated tasks over the internet at a much faster and more efficiently than humans. For this reason people are very much curious to using it. Gambling bots are used in the same way to getting more facility. I just used one gambling bots where I didn’t get the advantage according to my expectation. When I heard that bot is strictly prohibited form casino site and also knew that if they find that I am using it then they will permanently ban my account with deposit and winning money. That is why i left it.
Which casino banned your account for using bot to gamble?
If you used script to claim faucet and reloads bonuses on platform, it makes sense, otherwise, gambling bots do same thing what human gamblers do.  Better check ToS before using third-party software on any gambling platform.

Using script is really prohibited in most casinos because it is a form of cheating. While there are some scripts that are proven to be effective, it isn't guaranteed that it'll always be effective. At the same time, casinos now can detect the usage of script since technology has been advancing. It will be hard to force your way in bypassing the casino's security.

Although if someone will use gambling bot, i agree that that person must know the terms and conditions first. Being a responsible gambler is really a must so that you won't get your account banned due to violating the casino's policy. Reading everything before agreeing and accepting the terms should be every gambler's habit to avoid trouble in the future.
