2181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Casinos invest on endorsement from celebrities on: March 19, 2022, 12:26:14 PM
Should casinos invest in the endorsement of celebrities just like what Stakes is doing or it's better to just stick with giveaways contests and maintain their reputation, we know we all know the high cost of celebrity endorsement should other casinos follow Stake's lead to partner or pay celebrities to promote them.

Depends, If a celebrity have casino playinh background and have reputation on it then its good to get close and be advertise by them since their fans and supporters will surely get interested on what they are promoting. But for just a random celebrity like rappers or any of them without a gambling background well this will just lose the assets of the casino since for sure they can get positive results by advertising at them.

Nope, it's not really have to be that way. A lot of celebrities are endorsing something that they don't even use or do, the reason for all that is because of money. People will be always interested on the products or services that their favorite celebrities are endorsing, but only few I guess when it comes to gambling since people are aloof when they know that it is risky thing to do.

Should casinos invest in the endorsement of celebrities just like what Stakes is doing or it's better to just stick with giveaways contests and maintain their reputation, we know we all know the high cost of celebrity endorsement should other casinos follow Stake's lead to partner or pay celebrities to promote them.

If a casino has a budget for those highly-paid endorsements, then I think it's totally okay. As long as they don't compromise the quality and services they offered to their clients which is of great importance above all. I believe these casinos use celebrities to campaign and promote for them to have a wider reach of audience and potential customers and players in the future. Which is also beneficial to them and would be a win if the celebrity they have picked is really suitable to influence a nice population they are aiming to target.

But if these endorsements would just compromise the services they would offer, I think it wouldn't be worth it. Instead of having a good reputation and publicity, they'll just receive bad feedbacks once they mess up the things they offer to their clients. In this case, celebrity endorsements would be futile to do. Instead of getting one that would just deliberately lower down the promos and bonuses which clients want, they should instead focus on the services they would offer and let them do the talking and harboring of clients.
2183  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Journey of a successful trader on: March 18, 2022, 01:03:19 PM
Don't you forget your psychological behavior towards trading as it was more crucial than anything else. You may have a perfect system, a trading plan, etc. but if your resolve towards this journey isn't firm then consider it as a failure in the very beginning. Maybe you can put that on the list.
That should always be the first on the list. Because even how motivated you are to do successful trades, but your attitude is showing the opposite way, you will never reach your goal. So its very important that aside from having good skills and strategies to trade, there should also be right attitude towards trading. If you fail it, expect that you will still commit losses more often.

Yes, I agree.

Emotional management is very important, because that controls the rest of your decision making and other important factors to achieve a healthy trading lifestyle. Without it, the rest of your plan will just crumble on your hand along with your funds, so it is important to pay attention on everything on yourself before making a trade or doing a trading.
2184  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand or know the whale's next move? on: March 18, 2022, 12:12:32 PM
Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if there is any forum, website, subreddit or a threading discussion in this forum about what the whales are going to do or if there is a channel where they talk/share their next moves.

I've read that some users here read about this kind of topic but they didn't share any post or link to the source.

Thank you for your time.

There's no such thing, unless you could read someone else's mind, even our technology can't do such thing so yeah, the answer is none. The only thing we could do is to be ready after a whale made a big move, we don't have to panic but to ride them for us to make profits, especially when you're trading in futures.

Also, whales will never gonna tell somebody of what they are gonna do next, because that will ruin their plan, obviously.
2185  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: March 18, 2022, 11:06:55 AM

The majority of vulnerabilities in established gambling websites have already been patched; however, this does not imply that there are no vulnerabilities; as technology evolves, new vulnerabilities are discovered; however, in the case of established gambling websites, the vulnerabilities will be patched as soon as possible. Also, if you are serious about playing on a new website because of the freebies, you should be prepared to be scammed, so only deposit money that you can afford to lose.
The society we live in is very unsupportive for gambling. Be it online Gambling or gambling in casino. It is put in our mind from childhood days. Easy come, easy go. When you get the money through easy Channels. You let it flow with same ease through the other Channels. I have never seen person getting rich through gambling. So it's better to be safe than sorry!
It's probably because many people have experienced big losses from gambling. They always tell their children to stay away from gambling, especially if they don't have good control over gambling. But there are people out there who can get rich through gambling.

But vulnerabilities that occur on gambling sites or other sites will always be there. As @xSkylarx said, along with the technology development, the security factor is always a point that the hackers will try to exploit to break into their servers. Only sites that really pay attention to security issues can always protect their sites from hackers.

Warning people that gambling is bad for someone that is not well prepared is good, but I don't agree that all of the people is not lucky to be in the gambling industry, there are quite few individuals who are successful in life because of playing gambling. About the vulnerabilities, it can't be help since we're just humans, we don't make perfect things since we're not even perfect in the first place.

No matter how good it seems a certain gambling site is, there's gonna be a weakness or few that could be found on it's system.
2186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess online? on: March 18, 2022, 10:21:13 AM
The game of Chess is part of the very few games I didn't know how to play. I realize that chess is better learnt when younger in school because at least you have all the free time to throw around. I watched few times people that played but it wasn't so much a popular game played around freely, may be it was a reason. However, Chess is highly calculative. You need to read up the opponent next move and try to checkmate it, I think that's mostly the technique of the game.
really? at your age you don't know how to play chess? you are part of the few people in the world that knows nothing about chess playing lol.

Knowing how to play is different from being a good player and also different from being a professional on it, so you see there are difference of levels into the games we play or claim to know how to play. Grin lol.
There are also some games people don't know how to play and others do know it. So I'm not a professional player chess but nothing knowledge here and there doesn't make someone a good player.

I agree on your thoughts but I disagree about the timeline you put on learning how to be a good player on it. There's no age limit on being a pro, you could still spent time on it, learning all the openings and tactics you need to be able to defeat strong opponents. I've been playing chess since I was 10, but never had the chance to pursue it totally because of school.

But if someone really want to make it his career path, then age is not even an excuse.
2187  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scalpers and day traders - Never lie, be realistic. on: March 17, 2022, 03:08:09 PM
I have been into trading from the beginning of 2020 and it is 2 years now, I have been losing right from the start up to now. I have read it before that most traders later become swing traders after many losses, I have becoming to think this is true because I have been losing ever since.

I have seen the market to be volatile for two years now, I have made some analyses to later know that swing trading is better than scalping and day trading, I can be wrong but I am right that most traders will make profit in swing trading than scalping and day traidng because the later are riskier.

This is not about swing trading though but about scalping and day trading, are you making profit from it? Maximum number of votes is 3 for each and everyone.

Scalping is for impatient people, and to those people who makes decisions that fast and easy. Scalping is easy profit but don't expect too much on it, however, profit is still a profit. Day Trading is the exact opposite of scalping, big profits, even with few trades. Both could be ways for anyone to make profits, the rest will depends on the trader, whether he'll make money on it with his skills or not, simple as that.
2188  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It seems that more people taking crypto trading as full time job on: March 17, 2022, 02:27:12 PM
Being a full time trader is not that easy, like you'll quit your job and decided to be a full time trader, trust me, you're not gonna make profits, you're gonna make a mess. To be a full time trader who make profits, you need time as well like you do in your job being an employee. There's no shortcut for being a successful person, but I do agree that being a full time trader has more bright future than being an employee.
2189  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you ever JOMO? on: March 17, 2022, 01:46:40 PM
FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) is still the right term for this, I think. Because of your emotion that wants you not to be left out by the crowd, you bought a coin that you never even know, never done a research, you just bought it with just pure hype and ended up being disappointed because like what you've said, it dump to the earth.

The lesson is don't be afraid if you missed some opportunities in cryptocurrency, there's always a lot of opportunities that's gonna come, you just have to be patient to make profits.
2190  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Does This Always happen? on: March 17, 2022, 01:19:58 PM
Market is very unpredictable, it could go both ways, up or down, lucky if it goes sideways. It's annoying if it always goes the way you mentioned. To prevent that, maybe you need to start using technical analysis, or if you are already, maybe you need to improve your technical analysis using different indicators. It's gonna be a trial and error phase until you find the indicators that fits your trading style, so make sure you manage your trades as well.
2191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling site with Lightning Network on: March 16, 2022, 03:37:33 PM
Excuse my ignorance.
But could anyone tell me what is the big advantage of using a casino that accepts the Lightning Network?
I ask this because I believe that those who bet on games of chance usually end up losing all their money on the site, hardly anyone can take something away, the player's impulse is always to spend more.
If the player happens to win a big prize and wants to withdraw, in most cases they will need to KYC first, if they haven't already, and then go through a manual check, which invalidates the speed advantage that LN gives them.

Based on my knowledge, a casino with a lightning network runs much more smooth compared to one that isn't. The transaction fee is lowered and the speed is basically, quick. A user can instantly either deposit or withdraw his funds that he either initially deposited or won in betting.

KYC process is mandated in most casinos now due to regulations of the government, but I believe that process is just required for one time only, and not really asked repeatedly. Unless, they notice some strange activities which they found suspicious, they can ask for the verification of identity again.
2192  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: March 16, 2022, 02:19:26 PM
It seems that the previous thread when Drake made huge bets on the Super Bowl at the Stake Casino has been continued:

I received this information from Stake via email. It turns out that his previous cooperation with the casino gave a good conversion and they decided to continue it further. I wonder in what form the giveaway will take place, I would like to participate )

This a nice move for Stake. Getting a good promoter for their casino can make a good impact. Drake is a well-known personality. He is known to be a consistent and big risk taker gambler that can risk thousands and even millions of dollar for a bet. In addition, Drake has a wide reach of audience as well. He has a lot of followers whom he can influence with with just few clicks. It is a smart move for Stake to invest for a good and reputable gambler because after all, their name is at 'stake'.

Perhaps this is the reason behind the build up of Drake for Stake before. Nonetheless, this is win-win situation for both Drake and Stake casino. They will both benefit from the partnership and the one behind who offered first would be nonsense because they'll find it useful and profit anyways.
2193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in METAVERSE on: March 16, 2022, 12:08:14 PM

The most hyped thing is that people are talking too much about it. And they said this would be the future of the internet and the future of business. Yes, you guessed correctly, it's the metaverse. After Facebook changed their name to Meta, and after the announcement of Web 3.0 and the hype of NFT and several blockchain technologies, people really want to experience the things of the Metaverse. And it is true that blockchain gaming will be the first place where the metaverse will be introduced properly.

But my intensity is about gambling in the metaverse. Did you think about it? What are your thoughts on gambling in the metaverse world, where you and a friend are playing at a table, but it's online, and you're sitting next to each other, but you're from different countries? Isn't it sound cool? Well, it felt cool to me. I don't know if this type of site exists or not, but in the future there will definitely be a gambling world in the metaverse. And I really want to experience that. I hope that technology comes soon.

Whats your opinion about this technology?

I am actually a little confused about where this post should be suitable. If you think it's the best category, please move it.

Gambling in metaverse is a whole new level of convenience and technological advancement. I've seen many AR and VR games and even entertainment activities not totally involving betting and they're all really composed of modernity that somehow, it is scary. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of modernization and technological innovation, but sometimes it just makes me afraid to think of the future we'll have if ever these things will be soon our reality.

Metaverse gambling could be useful and beneficial to those people who want to enjoy, be entertained, and gamble in the comfort of their homes and personal spaces. In addition, this will be cost efficient compared to going to physical casinos because you won't have to spend for gasoline or transportation fee because you can just visit the casino virtually. However, the downside could possibly be making the physical casinos feel outdated, leaving it empty because almost everyone just prefers to gamble virtually. This will massively affect the owners who runs physical casinos and the likes.
2194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess online? on: March 16, 2022, 11:36:06 AM
Can anyone tell me if you know any website where you can play online chess with other people
and that both man can invest crypto and winner takes it all?

There are apps on playstore and appstore regarding chess game with either vs AI or vs other player of your choice or randomly picked. I believe there are also chess websites like that, but not exactly offering a play and bet style. Most platforms just either offer a completely play only or play-to-earn chess game. I really haven't stumbled upon a site offering play and bet at the same time. Most people just play and just put a personal bet on the side, but those are just applicable for those people who have known each other to secure the agreement.

Although I suppose it would really be fun to play and bet altogether so that there would be some sort of thrill and excitement during the game. Hopefully, you'll find an appropriate and reputable site for chess game.
2195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blame Game in gambling on: March 16, 2022, 11:05:29 AM
I agree not to show them, but if they discovered it on their own through the internet and will never show it to you, that is extremely dangerous. I believe that the best approach is not to tell them directly, but if they find out that you are doing it, explain to them what the risks are and that if you are under the age of 18, you should not play these types of games. As long as they listen, you can explain it to them and persuade them not to do that thing because they will become curious if you do not say anything about it.
The parents are responsible to educate their children about gambling before they discover it by themselves. This way, even your child is expose in gambling, he/she will become aware of the negative effect of it. But every kid has their own behavior and it depends on our parenting style. I think its better to explain it to them instead of waiting before they discover it on their own and become curious.

This is so on point.

It is parent's duty to teach their children the advantages and disadvantages a thing might cause them. A parent should do the right parenting style in order to let their kids know the possible consequences if something is not done correctly, excessively, and in haste. I very much agree that parents should be the first to approach their child about these things before they even discover it, so that when they knew about it later on, they have the knowledge and wisdom that they need to guide them on the right path despite the possible bad effects of it.

This is just like sex education. We should instill knowledge about gambling on our children the moment they are of right age to understand things like these. Because you see, once they hit puberty, they tend to get more curious about things. Exploration without background of pros and cons could cost them great damage the moment they engage with it. So let's start it in our home to let them understand so they won't fall into the pit of their damnation once they turn adults.
2196  Economy / Economics / Re: Putin is trying to coerce firms into doing business or else... on: March 15, 2022, 03:01:19 PM
Putin's latest crazy idea is to coerce Western and multinational firms into keeping their business open in his dominions. The message here is "you have to keep your doors open or I will take all your assets and property and also send your executives to jail".

https://foreignpolicy.com/2022/03/11/russia-mcdonalds-business-seizures/

Quote
McDonald’s—which made capitalist history when it opened its first Soviet restaurant in Moscow 32 years ago—is leaving Russia. So are BP, Shell, Ferrari, Ikea, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Unilever, and a host of other Western companies

Quote
Medvedev proposed that Moscow should seize the assets of foreign individuals and companies in Russia. And on March 9, Russia’s governing party said a government commission had begun the process of doing so.

This is a very peculiar understanding of business and the rule of law. I wonder that, if this is effectively implemented, will we ever see a western company investing or doing business in Putin's dominions? Will the jobs for the Russian people created by this companies disappear for decades to come?

This is just so low for a president. To utter such words and to even make it into actions is just pure absurd. This just shows how incompetent he is in terms of leading and when it comes to the economy such as business matters. If he will continue to act like this, most probably the western countries will be turn off with his attitude. Exhibiting such behavior is just manipulative. The moment the western investors come into their senses, probably they will just pull out instead of staying.

This will do no good to Russia's economy. Instead of betterment, they will have nothing in their side once investors lose interest on them. I just hope it won't really go that far because Russian citizens are also affected by their president's acts of incompetency and aggresiveness.
2197  Economy / Gambling / Re: Join a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms on: March 15, 2022, 02:06:33 PM
As I said, the boycott of business or cultural events is to have an impact on Russian society. When the Russian society feels that they are in very uncomfortable situation and even cause financial losses due to the government actions, society will put pressure on the government to stop that actions. It makes sense to me, and I support it.

It makes sense to you because you do not own or run any business in Russia. Think beyond this and think of what those who do not like Putin but own businesses in Russia whose businesses are now sanctioned will be faced with now. Putin is a dictator despite that he was elected into office, and you think he will not go after anyone who will go on the streets to protest against him because of the imposed sanctions? That man is capable of killing anything that stands as barrier to him.

This is what I'm talking about. Before we make haste decisions about boycotting casinos run by a Russian, we must think twice or even ten times before doing so. Because committing such and participating in that kind of event also harms those people who are innocent. As you can see, not everyone is in favor of what Putin is doing. They are just victims as well of a harsh, aggressive, violent, Putin who is only after his own satisfaction, not thinking about what his constituents will feel about his decisions. Putin obviously lacks empathy which I believe most Russians have, because Russians have been protesting and voicing out their opinions and showing their stance about the war despite how negatively it could cost them later on.

Let's not let our emotions overpower our minds. We should not be swayed by hatred just like Putin and instead do our part in any way that we can to help both parties to overcome this. Both Ukrainians and Russians are a victim of an unempathethic leader and we should not be like him. Most of these casinos didn't do anything wrong. Aside from some who are just basically trash, let's spare them some mercy.
2198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Huge Future Bitcoin Holders! on: March 15, 2022, 01:30:31 PM
those who are having bitcoin's have a bright future bcoz it is one of the top most business activity and ledging business in todays and futre generation .lot of surveys says that have huge future to bitcoin holders and traders in this digital world  I do agree with you that if a person HODLs at least their BTCs, you can acquire and take advantage of its volatility for maximum profit.

I agree with you.

Those people who are trusting into Bitcoin's capability now despite its price fluctuations over the past months will definitely reap the fruit of their patience and trust in the following years. Bitcoin has been competitive and really moving in aggressive manner over the years. No doubt, it will fluorish even more after some time.

Holders of bitcoin will profit maybe not now, but after a while. Long term investors shouldn't worry much and just patiently wait until its price satisfies them. Personally, I believe that we can really take into our advantage bitcoin's volatility despite it being off to some. But still, it's recommended to have other streams of income and not just rely on one, so while waiting for the massive pump, let's have something to look after to.
2199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its time to go in crypto lets leave fiat cutrency on: March 15, 2022, 12:55:31 PM
Im ready lets go but also assets prices need to reset and then again slowly to gain value of prices.
So we buy  house with. 10 doge coins so its equal to 500k yes there will be more people who against this they might say its not fair ...but we dont care life is not fair.
Im ready to go full in crypto and im sure all u are ready to get all the assets in the world for crypto.

As war situation fiat curremcy might not used anyways for sometime in some european countries to get properties with btc

As much as you want to totally transition from fiat system to cryptocurrency, there are still a lot of things to consider. Not everyone is ready for this conversation since not all of us are capable of doing so. In addition, fiat and crypto exist for a reason. These two are completely different from each other and has their very own purposes to take care of. If you can abandon fiat for good, then good for you. But unfortunately, other people can't do the same thing instantly as much as they want.

It's good to have crypto as an alternative option aside from fiat. If things go haywire in fiat system, you can just switch to crypto because you have a back up. In case sanctions happen, you can freely use your assets because it won't frozen by central organization. However, this has its advantages and disadvantages. If someone is to switch completely and ditch fiat, he must be aware and should welcome the risks that come along with it such as price fluctuations. You see, living in crypto isn't going to be rainbows and sunshines because it is volatile. Some days you will have so much, and there would be days you could have so much less compared to the amount you originally owned. In addition, transaction fees and processing fees are not really much consistent. And not every establishments really openly accepts crypto payment methods.

Someone must weigh the pros and cons before doing so. Otherwise, he might just regret it. After all, i still believe that fiat and crypto can coexist. There shouldn't even be a competition actually against each other because each serves their own purpose to their target market.
2200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Ukraine war on: March 15, 2022, 12:18:34 PM
The bitcoin market has also been affected by growing concerns about Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
But Bitcoin has been falling in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at around $ 37,794.
But the oil situation is quite the opposite. Just look at the price of oil and realize that this war has had a huge impact on the price of oil and safe-haven assets like gold.

But what is the reason for this?

In my opinion, because of the war, most people avoid high-risk assets such as bitcoin and other digital currencies!
+How many wars have Bitcoin experienced so far?
-Nothing
So it is natural that most people, because they do not know the reaction of bitcoin, turn to other assets such as gold and oil. The escalation of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia will also cause more fear among investors.

Bitcoin's price has been fluctuating prior the Russia-Ukraine war. Somehow, bitcoin is impacted by it due to perhaps panic, but I believe it will eventually bounce back like it always does. Right now, what is really alarming is the oil price hike due to the conflict. The price of oil is largely affected since Russia supplies oil in most countries.

This is the ugly repercussion of a war especially if a country involved is the one who exports goods. Since Russia is sanctioned, they have said it in news even before that if that will continue, the price of oil will rise up so much. And true to their words, indeed, the price of oil is massively increasing as time passes by.

Here in our country, the price of oil almost hit twice its original price before the war. And maybe in the next few weeks it would even exceed the twice original price and hit triple. It's frustrating most especially to the working class because whenever oil price moves, everything follows. Transportation fees, price of goods such as raw materials and processed ones. Hopefully, the war will be over soon and everything will come to normal. It's just so hard to live nowadays because everything goes up, except the wage.
