2201  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fun Stats about Bitcoin Casinos | Infographic on: March 15, 2022, 11:51:20 AM
I did a little research and collected interesting statistics on crypto casinos in infographics. It might be interesting for someone to take a look.

A by-product of this research is a table that collects all crypto casinos by name, year, as well as all altcoins available in these casinos. I would like to add other useful information to this table, so let me know if you would like to see some more information there.

The table - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GqMmEUYmmOisgtP625e9LfJIp6nVqXujHa3SdIeclNY/

Timeline sources:
2011 Fist gambling website
As for the Provably Fair Algorithm, I've used Bitcointalk search and found first mentions of this algorithm in 2011

2014 - Just Dice first crowdfunded casino

Infographic source

Making an infographic is a great method to engage the users in reading and knowing more about the topic being presented. Personally, I like infographics because it is refreshing in the eyes and it basically contains almost every detail that you need in just a few words and images combined. It's good to see the timeline of bitcoin casino gambling platforms as well as the gradual increase rate of each and the cryptocurrency as well as time passes by. The number of casino being established each year goes up very well which means there would be more options for the players and competitions among the casino owners.

Overall, I commend you for coming with this idea. It pretty much sums up the things newbies and even those who are playing long enough want to know. If you are open to suggestions, I would really appreciate it and maybe others here in forum as well if you'll make another infographic about the percentage of the crypto casino statistics you put there. Surely, it would enlighten many people reading. Nonetheless, good job! Thanks for this contribution.
2202  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to pilot CBDC project on: March 12, 2022, 03:16:03 PM
Looks like a trap to me.

I mean, I always stick to the saying na "never trust the bank" when it comes on storing your money. I'm a paranoid person kaya ang nakikita is you can't really freely cashout your money here, and holding a lot of their tokens could mean to something na tatanungin ka nila about where your money comes from and paano mo nagawang makakuha ng ganung halaga, etc...

I don't know, but hopefully their project would be good for all of the people who will adapt it.
2203  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Safest way to withdraw profits from Binance on: March 12, 2022, 02:35:43 PM

No need to convert it to Bitcoin kung kailangan na talaga yung PHP, in my opinion. Kasi kung i-coconvert pa yung XRP to Bitcoin eh mababawasan pa ito (correct me if I'm wrong).

Safe naman yung P2P cashout sa binance as long as na mabusisi ka sa kung kanino mo ipagkakatiwala yung pera na i-cacashout mo.
2204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Will NFT be the reason for a massive boost in gambling in the near future? on: March 12, 2022, 12:22:21 PM
NFT's population is growing as time passes by, I've researched about it and many gives positive feedback that it has a bright future ahead. The only downside of NFT(s) is the fee, every transaction. Many cryptocurrency gambling casinos are using NFT already (see here). If I'm not mistaken, Rollbit also uses NFT, which makes gambling sites more fun and have a new twist on playing.
2205  Local / Pilipinas / Re: RUSSIA vs UKRAINE - EPEKTO SA PILIPINAS on: March 11, 2022, 01:58:39 PM

2206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blame Game in gambling on: March 11, 2022, 12:24:06 PM
Yeah, I might have understood it more if the teacher has no parents or no one to run to. How did they raise him? Do they even know what is really happening to him during those times when he is addicted to gambling? They are the first wall that should stop it or seek help for him.
Then, he is a teacher, so how come? That's even harder to explain when his profession is to teach. For me, teachers are mostly with optimistic minds and with lots of patience so that makes me more confused with how it ended up with suicide.

Gambling addiction is applicable to all the people who plays gambling, even if you're a teacher, a doctor, an engineer, or whatever profession you do have, we're just humans, we have emotions that we canty control most of the time. My guess was that he is hight indebted to someone, I mean like a loanshark, that warned him already that if he didn't pay up on time, something would happen.

Or the other reason is that he is just depressed and stressed on how he will get back his losses, but it turned out not pretty well, so he decided to end his own life which is not really the right choice.
2207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez 130-pound Title Unification Fight on: March 11, 2022, 11:36:45 AM
Oscar Valdez would definitely win this fight for sure. Offensive boxer has much more chances of winning because boxing is about scoring points, not surviving the entire 12 rounds that focuses only on defending. Offensive players are both good in offense and defense, that's why Oscar Valdez has 77% of knockout power, bigger than Shakur Stevenson.

This fight won't be easily end but I can see already Oscar Valdez throwing solid punches that lands perfectly on Shakur Stevenson.
2208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blame Game in gambling on: March 11, 2022, 11:01:20 AM
This happened before when a player who gets addicted and lost everything got revenge on the casino he was playing and bring a gun with him shooting anyone he sees there and finally he commits suicide. This is why the casinos nowadays are taking care of their players by issuing those warnings and precautions to avoid such deadly incidents in the future but most players ignored those precautions and proceed to play even though the money is saved for something else.

It is actually not the casinos problem but the person itself however the casinos can prevent it if they are going to be a little strict in regards with their players but due to competitions like here in the forum gambling sites that is not strict is more favorable than those who implement rules in regards with KYC. It is just a game and a leisure but if we don't managed to control our self and did not become a responsible gambler I don't think this will be the last time that this kind of incident will happen.

Nope, this won't end just because they will imply strict policies to avoid players getting addicted to it. Gambling addiction is a choice, and the person who is addicted won't be healed unless he will help himself with some medications, and the help of professional therapist. Maybe the said individual is rebelling to his parents due to lack of attention, love, and care, in my opinion.

Rehabilitation is a long run, that's why families are the one's who should be patient on helping their love ones in the process until they are healed, not nagging at them because they are addicted to gambling.
2209  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Target Price Methodology on: March 10, 2022, 02:25:13 PM
Technical analysis is not to exactly predict the price in the future but only to give you idea on what might be the price in the future, because it could go sideways (that's why setting a stop loss and take profit) is very important.

So your question is on what price you'll set to take profit? The answer to that is depends on what price you are satisfied to take profits based on the technical analysis you have on a certain coin price chart movements. Because just like what I've said, technical analysis is not 100% accurate.

Always take profits when you're happy. A profit is still a profit, while your regret is not a profit at all.
2210  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Using crypto to trade crude oil or broker necessary on: March 10, 2022, 01:30:59 PM
I tried to research about it as well out of curiosity since this is the first time I've heard about it. Virtuse is the only exchange I've seen that let your trade the thing you wanted but I do not know their legitimacy rate, though E-toro is good like what already mentioned by @OmegaStarScream. I've seen PetroDollar but it is just a backed cryptocurrency oil.

I think this would a trial and error for you OP to figure out where you could trade such thing. Tokenized commodity is the one I think you were trying to say.
2211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: PROFIT must not be top priority in trading, instead of LEARNING first. on: March 10, 2022, 12:39:10 PM
Actually they are both top priorities. Your goal is to make profit that's why you risk your money with your knowledge about trading. Losing can't be avoided, because losing means you'll gain experience or be frustrated on it, it's your choice. Losing a trade doesn't mean you'll go back to square one, losing means you'll start a new one with some additional knowledge you just got by losing, and that's increase your chances on your goal which is to make profits.
2212  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading should be supported by goverment on: March 10, 2022, 11:57:51 AM
This is not gonna happen, trust me.

Governments all over the world are full of corrupt politicians who are only interested in their own benefits. They can't even support their citizens on agriculture, can't even end poverty, can't even help to fight climate change, there's no hope for them. Politicians will only help people for a while if the election is near, after that, citizens will go back to their everyday routine which is to survive on their own while the politicians who promised to help them are stealing their taxes.

So yeah, it is impossible, especially when we're talking about cryptocurrency that most of the Governments for sure want to control it but sadly they can't.
2213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 Arnold Strongman Classic on: March 09, 2022, 03:02:13 PM
The strongman competition rarely gets the attention of the general public but actually this sport looks very challenging during the heaviest weight rounds, I am interested in Oleksii Novikov (UKR) has lifted 1,185 LBS in the 2020 WSM competition, I am sure he will be the strongest contender to win the 2022 Arnold Strongman Classic competition .

I agree. This sports is not really widely-known. Perhaps because of lack of information about it over the Internet. But this sports is actually comprised of weightlifters in which people are usually into. Maybe it just happens that some people aren't really digging deeper about it nowadays. However, because of mainstream media it paved its way to some people who became into it after watching a thing or two. It's not as popular as other sports, but it is slowly becoming known. Hopefully, the social media would be an instrument for it to flourish even more. Although not everyone is really into weighlifting and the gruesome and extensive strength exertion, still, some people find it fascinating and entertaining to watch. Betting on it with the use of crypto aside from the traditional fiat currency could make an impact in spreading awareness about it being related as well in bitcoin betting. There are many strongmen competitors who show a lot of potential and are worth to look forward to.
2214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 09, 2022, 01:42:18 PM
~snip~
If this cases will remain, then I don't doubt that a time will come that they won't let the said athletes or fighters to join such games or events just because they do not share the same beliefs or views.

And that would make the sports boring. Actually, sports is one of the best ways to unite countries, we compete through sports in a friendly manner and it should remain that way. With politics, the real purpose of sports or competition will not be achieve.

The real essence of sports is the sportsmanship and competition among players and the team or country they represent. If the sports would involve politics in it, it could be a little bit messy. Although I know for a fact that everything is political. It's just that, there are right places and right time for those topics and conversation. If you would force into someone the beliefs and principles you hold, it wouldn't be good since you are imposing it. And by imposing, you are violating their right to be entitled on their own choices and decisions. It's okay to educate and let them be enlightened if you think they are thinking or having a flawed mindset for having or idolizing such, but we should know where to draw the line. Crossing the boundaries and limits is rude. The athletes are playing because it's their passion. We should not decide for them and we should not bully or set them aside just because they have different perspective and opinion than ours.
2215  Other / Off-topic / Re: Could Trump be the right choice for the ownership of Chelsea. on: March 09, 2022, 01:05:03 PM
I recently came across a sport headline breaking: Donald Trump reveals interest in buying Chelsea football club. And many thoughts ran through my mind, can Trump among many other bidders be the right man for the club. Cause it's only businessmen with the kind of passion as Roman Ibrahimovic had for the club that can still sustain and keep keeping the flag flying from where Ibrahimovic stopped.

What your take on this, with the likes of Trump in the race for the ownership of Chelsea?

I've read that there are other businessmen who are interested in buying Chelsea aside from Trump. I guess it would be best if Chelsea would be bought by someone who is very passionate about sports and can maintain or even handle it better than it was before. It would be good for the club to maintain its reputation and winnings because after all, they belong to the top 4 leagues. I've heard that Trump is good in handling business. So while it may not appear for him to be passionate about sports, I think he can run it smoothly business speaking. He could handle it well if he were to understand how sports works. That's if he would exert an effort in it. Although I bet there are others who might be more fitting for owning Chelsea. I guess we'll just have to wait and see who will win the bid. Hopefully, it would find its way to the person who could make the best of it once they bought it.
2216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The paradox of arbitrage betting (and how to make money on it) on: March 09, 2022, 12:33:05 PM
For example, let's take the simplest case when we have the opportunity to make an arbitrage bet and get money without risking anything:
There are two outcomes of the event: 1 and 2, and let's say that at bookmaker A we can bet on outcome 1 with odds of 2.05, and at bookmaker B we can bet with the same odds on outcome 2.

It turns out that if we make two bets (for example 100$) on both events, we will get a guaranteed profit:

100x2.05 - 200 = 5$ net profit from a bet of $200

100x2.05 - either bet on event 1 or bet on event 2 wins
200 - money spent to place both bets

But there is a problem that bookmakers (most of them) prohibit arbitrage bets and most likely exchange information about the players who make them in order to get rid of them later. Is there a solution to this problem?

I think yes: the probability that of the two events 1 and 2 the first or the second will happen is the same. This means that if we bet only on event 1 (or 2) we will (on average) either win $105 or lose $100.

(105 - 100)/2 = 2.5 $ net profit from a bet of $100

Conclusion: if you find an opportunity to make an arbitrage bet, then you can bet only on one of the outcomes and on average you will still be in the black plus avoid problems with ToS of bookmakers.

This is what some people do to achieve a somewhat sureball win in betting. Putting your bets on both teams will still make you a profit even a little amount because the bet you won will be the bet you made on the other side. The only bonus is the remainder apart from the base bet. This is preferred by some, while others do not because of the complications of things. Personally, I wouldn't try arbitrage betting. I would rather bet on a single team that I researched and trust upon to avoid the complexity. After all, high risk, high reward. Although this is just my personal perspective because I believe in risking what I can only afford to lose. I do not bet and invest beyond what I'm scared of losing. This is to ensure myself that I won't have regrets later on and I will still have something left if ever worse things happen. If you want this kind of way as an extra profit, you could do this. But still do it with caution because everything has its costs.
2217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blame Game in gambling on: March 09, 2022, 11:53:02 AM
Heartbroken parents say Hull teacher was victim of 'predatory' gambling industry. Whom to blame for this sad incident ?

Why not try to find the root cause here first. Where were the parents when their 16 years old son was addicted to gambling ? They should have monitored his activities and this situation would not have raised. You cannot blame the doctors on insufficient medical treatments when the son could have be taught at home to avoid excessive gambling. I would consider it a negligence on parents behalf as it was their first duty to keep an eye on their children.

Indeed, this is a case of parent's negligence. Parental guidance during the growth of their children is essential. Their teachings and nourishment during the crucial years from being a kid to their early adolescence is of importance so that they could develop the learnings, principles, beliefs, attitude, and discipline they need while growing up. Being absent during those times that the children need the proper guidance from their parents could lead to several things such as developing anxiety, depression, and even addiction. Gambling addiction is a problem that could have been prevented if there were adults that will guide and lead the child into proper and right path. It is parents responsibility to take care of their children. It is their duty and obligation to ensure their safety and they are having a good health. A parent shouldn't pass their responsibility to other people because it is their kid in the first place. No one would be responsible aside from them, not even their teachers for exhibiting such behaviors.

I know parents do their very best to provide the support  their children need. However, it is also important to take a pause for a while and check up on them. Let's not be caught up with work to the point we neglect our responsibilities to our children.
2218  Economy / Gambling / Re: [GUIDE] 10 complete steps for new casino into this forum on: March 08, 2022, 02:53:58 PM
Note: This thread intended for new casinos, that's why it's posted on Gambling board.

Many new casinos doesn't understand how this forum work, forum rules and how to advertise on this forum. Some casinos just started creating topic with poor plain text announcement and some might doesn't even complete developing his sites. How you can make someone move to your new casino while their old casino are better than yours? No one will want to try out your sites. We can't blame them since new accounts wouldn't recognized this forum yet, this is why I create this thread. This 10 steps will help you understand to promote your brand new casino in this forum.

1. You need to have a lot money to start.
Aside the primary cost to build up the sites, gambling software, domain subscription, coder, script, bug bounty etc. You need to have a good amount money for advertisement (full explanation below), no one will know your casino when they didn't even heard your casinos since it's still a brand new casinos.

2. Read the forum rules first.
The most rules that brand new users broke are post in a row, spamming, put referral on the topic, create duplicate thread and not deleted previous bump. Though if you broke this rules you wouldn't automatically be banned, but your post most likely can be deleted by moderators. Additional tip: if you want your thread remain on Gambling board, you need to accept Bitcoin on your casino, if not your topic will be moved to service announcement (altcoins). The rules can be read here Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ

3. Create announcement with well organized design.
Good announcement will bring a good impression to whoever see your thread, it also show how serious and well prepared your casino it is. If you register with brand new account, your images wouldn't be visible since each rank has a restrictions. You need to upgrade your rank to Jr. Member or buy copper membership to make the images visible.

4. Various advertisements.
Welcome bonus and wager contest are the good promotions to start as new casino. But almost on any casino will have this promotions and it's really common, also the requirements is really insane to beat. Usually welcome bonus you need 40x wager with the bonus money, wager contest you need to beat high roller and isn't easy. You can other promotions with easier to require even though the reward need to reduced e.g. daily wager, lottery.

5. On forum advertisements.
Having a promotions on casinos is good, but it will be better if you have a promotions dedicated for Bitcointalk user only. Many popular casinos in this forum mostly have this and they're not stopping even they already big. In this forum you can run signature campaign, run review contest about your casino, run prediction contest, slot multiplier or even art contest. To run those contests it will be better if you hire a manager to handle that, you can see on this thread Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers

6. Make sure your site is already finished.
Announcing your casino but your site still under development will make people doesn't want to try your sites since it's not completed yet and worried if there's a bug. You need to have at least: Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, FAQ, Live support, Social media, and Provably fair verifier. It's not funny when you don't even wrote any rules and when someone want to withdraw his money, you suspect him abusing your system etc and you ask him to submit KYC. Obviously no one will ever want to play anymore.

7. Don't be too strict about your rules.
Many people really want a friendly casino which doesn't really strict about their rules. Don't directly suspect broke your rules someone when they win huge amount, you need to accept it since you offer such odds and  maximum bet. If you still suspect someone abusing your rules, you need to prepare the proof to prove it. If not, no one will believe since you're new casino and doesn't have any reputation yet.

8. Get a gambling license.
Many people doesn't like to submit KYC, but they're prefer a casino having license even KYC is mandatory rather than a casino doesn't have license but offer no KYC. This because no KYC casino doesn't offer promotions due to easily to abuse, unlike a KYC casino will have various promotions. Of course you shouldn't ask KYC to anyone as long as they're not abusing your casino. You also shouldn't allow someone can deposit but they need to submit KYC to able withdraw the funds, this is worst.

9. Active on forum.
It doesn't mean you need to active 24/7, you can active once a day, once in every three days or even once a week. You need to be active since many members will ask some questions related to your casino or some people have a problem with your casino. If you ignored their problems, many people will have bad impression on your casino.

10. Don't try to use paid shills or bumping service.
Having a thread shown in the first page or even first row will make your casino will be visible to anyone which visited gambling board. But don't try to use paid shills or bumping service to make your thread remain on the first row, this isn't good advertisement and many people will think your casino is scummy or rug pull project, don't try to abuse this forum system.

This is based on my own observations around popular casinos in this forum, this forum doesn't endorse/force new casinos to have good announcement or run advertisements (e.g. signature campaign, contest etc).

tl;dr you need to have huge money to start new casino, understand the forum rules, prepare good announcement, finished your sites with complete informations, be active, run various advertisements, don't too strict, don't hire paid shills, and have a licenses.

I very much agree with number 6. I've stumbled upon many thread and post here before up until this date regarding this. Some people tend to promote and advertise their site despite the fact that is isn't finished yet. How could you gather and entice customer and players to your website if the mere site itself isn't functioning right just yet? If the website is still lacking and isn't really done that it's good to be seen and accessed upon, I suggest you rather not broadcast it yet because the opposite of what you're trying to do will going to happen. Instead of people flocking in your website, they will ignore and get away from it. Because you should offer a good and quality service and not just the so-so. The clients should get the worth of the buck they would pay for. If you are a casino businessman or planning to build one, you should definitely take note of this. You could ask for suggestions while wrapping things up. But don't publicize it yet if it's not thoroughly done.
2219  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: March 08, 2022, 01:14:16 PM
Is it still a vulnerability to take advantage of free money, such as a signup bonus? Create a large number of accounts in order to receive the signing up bonus and transfer it to your wallet, for example. In my opinion, it has long been known that a gambler will open a large number of accounts and deposit the money into a single wallet in order to amass a large sum of cash. However, this is only valid in the past, as the majority of signup bonuses are now locked and cannot be withdrawn from the site.

Signup bonus usually comes up with the wagering requirements. You need to wager a particular amount before you are eligible for the withdrawal of that bonus. Even if we consider it legal, to create as many accounts, no one can't be lucky to retain all the balance in gambling in order to fulfill the wagering requirements. He will lose money and most of the accounts will be zero.

If he is lucky to survive and make money, he can withdraw but there is a likely chance that gambling sites will find it fishy that many accounts are being made from a single IP and they may ask for KYC for suspected cases.

This is really frequently happening in gambling industry. Actually, not just only in gambling but in other platforms as well which has a bonuses for those newbies because people always tend to abuse the system whenever they sense the opportunity of doing so. Most people utilize the signing up bonus on a bad way which disrupts the system of a gambling site. Making multiple accounts just to avail the bonus is one of the most famous things people do to cheat on the site. Thinking they wouldn't be caught, hence a lot of people are doing this in the past and maybe up until now. Although it really is required for most sites to have a wager before they would be able to withdraw. I understand this method because this is to ensure that the people won't go through abusing the system. And if they would opt to do so, they could lost something in the process. Hence, most would think twice of doing this since most casinos ban the account whenever they detect something fraudulent happening.
2220  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: March 08, 2022, 12:13:40 PM
The way everyone is sanctioning things in Russia, it seems there are no one living in Russia that the 144.1 million people are not human LOL

Imagine from the point of a Russian Civilian who is not supporting the war in Ukraine, who wants peace dialog and want to see the brotherhood between these two county. But just because he is a Russian now he can not visit an EU county or in a state of America , he can not have assets in these regions, he can not conduct any business at all, his assets are being seized . He has no right in those countries. Or may be he is in any of these countries living for long time. From now on his life will be a harder. The Russian military is killing innocent civilians but the rest of the word is making Russian civilians life a misery.

What are we achieving from this WAR?

PS: This is not an statement in favor of 1xBET and 1xBit . These scammers should not be existed in the first place.

This is what I'm pertaining to. If we were to boycott everything related with Russia, not only in gambling industry to take the initiative, but in general, innocent people would be affected as well. Hence, we should really think twice is doing it if we intend and plan to do so, because the impact won't be directed to those who are in favor of war, but also to those people who are against it and just want peace and unity. People in Russia have expressed their stance against their president's decision in invading and bombing Ukraine. In fact, people even gather to make a protest, taking their chance to be heard by the authorities. Right now, there are a lot of sanctions given to them which impacts the innocent ones as well. The sanction applies to everyone. With this, those who belong to the middle and lower bracket would be likely be affected the most compared to those elites that have stored their wealth in most forms, preparing for this to happen.

I believe most of the Russian citizens don't want war because what they even gain from it? Only those who are greedy and those people who are in line with the things related to war are celebrating while majority are suffering. It would be so hard for the business owner if that the rate would decrease, most especially if there would be totally none playing on their business. It would really take a toll on them especially those who only relies from it as their main source of income. Even the most known gambling site can fall too.
