2141  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: March 30, 2022, 11:42:09 AM
I was thinking that "Casino" is gambling game played by players in this forum. Because I am seen the name everyday, so today I decided to find out how the game is all about.
When I googled the name, then I discovered that it is an establishment for different types of games. Such as: Dice, crabs, black jack keno etc. That is, it is a facility or a platform for gambling. Simply means. It is a building for games. https://www.quora.com/What-is-a-casino

And also. Most terms use in the gambling platform confused me so to contribute and comment is not easy. But I know for sure that it is for the mean time, I will get all for the free flow communication. But if there is any board that I can learn those terms. Please forward the links for easy and faster learning of the terms.

If you want to have a better knowledge with the terminologies in overall gambling regardless of being in physical casinos or online platforms, better check the following links and have an idea on what the words meant:

1. The Essential Glossary Of Gambling Terms
2. Gambling Glossary: A Guide to Gambling Terms

I just don't know the how others could mean other things when reading/saying such basic words. Don't get easily confused just because some uses it for a context. Remember that some terms can really be different regardless of its meaning especially when its meant to have a meaning based on context Smiley in your situation, maybe experience in gambling is something you could also try working on. Some doesn't learn from the readings but from their curiosity out of experiences.

This is a good suggestion of actual links that can help OP to understand better the gambling industry. It's really hard to be a newbie because there's a lot of things you don't and won't understand at first. You have to know several terminologies, strategies, and techniques in order to fully grasp the idea. It won't be an easy task, definitely will not only take an overnight, but it could be mastered once you start learning the basics and fundamentals.

I personally suggest to check several threads here in gambling or gambling discussion. There are a lot of threads mostly dedicated on what a casino have such as requiring KYC or not, sign up bonuses, wagering, and the likes. You can dig deeper as well om your own if those won't suffice. Goodluck on your gambling journey. Hopefully, you won't get addicted and have self-discipline to avoid such.
2142  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sign Up Bonuses on: March 30, 2022, 11:05:39 AM
I discovered that must of the gambling sites, mostly the ones I signed up have no sign up bonus but others gave as I was told.

Because  sign up bonus is very much important to a beginner and also attract More customers to the site.

I know that, there are a lot of gambling sites that gives sign up bonuses but I have not come encounter with them.  If I told someone about a Gambling site. Some of them asked the sign up bonus.

In my location most companies give $10 + while some give $5. Just that most of the bonuses can not be used to play games until you deposit a specific amount of money to add up with the bonus, at that stage, I look at it as a discount.

What could be the possible caused of the companies that are not giving the sign up Bonuses?

Sign up bonuses are given by the casinos to entice the player to put money in, wager, and play. Usually, these sign up bonuses are hard to withdraw because the players must follow thr terms and conditions first such as said, making a wager that is most of the time twice the amount of the bonus. In this way, the casinos ensure that there would be minimal to no abuse of the system.

Sign up bonuses are really good especially to those newbies who are very much interested in playing because they can start off with something at hand. However, in picking a casino, you shouldn't just rely on the sign up bonus but on the overall reputation of it.
2143  Economy / Economics / Re: OMG crypto is low ! what do i do ? on: March 29, 2022, 03:14:33 PM
OMG crypto is low ! what do i do ?

Well let me tell you what you do when crypto is low (shhh don't tell anyone it's a secret ...):

1.You build dapps
2.You create nfts
3.You start selling something
4.You create tokens

etc...

Why ? Gas fees are low when crypto is down ...when crypto is down be creative.

IMO, these things do not really have a connection with bearish market. As a matter of fact, instead of gaining while doing these, you might actually end up losing or being stagnant because most people tend to panic and be pressured whenever bearish market approaches. In addition, there are so many people doing this already such as building nft's and creating tokens. Which just rarely gets on the top.

I still prefer going on the safe, but sure path such as buying the dip whenever bearish market happens. Because during this season is the great opportunity to buy low and then sell high once it hits the all time high or even increase after a while. That way, you can have a slowly, but surely profit. However, this differs from one person to another. We still do us and what we think suits us and risk appetite the best.
2144  Economy / Economics / Re: Sanction is the right option? on: March 29, 2022, 02:17:03 PM
Yes it's going to be the right option but the only problem is that Russia is not Germany so they won't easily bend with this economic sanctions, this is actually much better because the sanctions have started early so as to make sure that the war can't last for a really long time. The only problem with this is the innocent people of Russia will be a collateral damage unless they revolt which the Russians are really good at.

Many Russian people support their president and they are not ashamed that they are Russian. This country has gone through great trials and wars. People did not live very richly, but lived in abundance. The sanctions are hitting every country in Europe. Their effect will be felt not only by Russians, but by every person in the world. Now is a difficult time for everyone.

Sadly, you are right. Based on the poll surveys, most of the Russian citizens are in favor of their president's decision in invading Ukraine. I don't really understand why, because it's such a cruel act when it could be done in a diplomatic way instead of addressing it in an aggressive manner. And with this, yes, I guess the only way is to impose sanctions so that they would have no other choice but to raise the white flag and have some peace talks. I really do hope that this would happen because war makes no sense. Those people who benefit are just the elites and most people, particularly the innocent ones end up suffering and dying.

If the sanctions would continue, Russia's power could be limited because of limited resources and movement. This way, their fighting power would somehow weaken.
2145  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: March 29, 2022, 01:26:17 PM
I totally agree with you, and to add, I think hackers are one of the most patient and passionate beings in the field of profession, professional hackers are always so serious and determined, though their chosen career or profession isn't something to emulate(this is for the black hat hackers), but I always draw some encouragement from them, a serious hacker can spend months and sometimes, years trying to hack a site or platform, all they need is to find the loophole, ones that is found, they never give up until they figure out a way to use that loophole to thier own advantage.
Sometime some years back, I've tried learning how to hack but I lacked the patience and resources required, and to be sincere, I love their enthusiasm towards their job even though most part of the job is illegal.
There are many white hat hackers, after all what better way to learn how to secure a website than by trying to break into it? The difference is that white hat hackers instead of gaining illegal access and stealing what they can they could ask for a bounty in the case they find a critical vulnerability for the website, now without a doubt it is a really difficult profession as the level of skill and knowledge needed to make any money as a white hat hacker is huge, but it is worth it, as bounties can easily reach five or even six figures.

Actually, white hackers exist for a reason. As far as I know, white hackers' main purpose is to expose the vulnerability of the website for its own benefit. They hack those websites that are easy to infiltrate to let the developer and the client know that their system and level of security is fragile and can be easily messed up with if they won't do anything about to tighten the security. These white hat hackers do not really mean to harm, but all they want is to help so that the security and privacy would be improved and enhanced.

I believe they are far much different than any hackers which aim to steal or destroy assets. There are still many organizations and groups made up of white hat hackers and they show time to time whenever they see something vulnerable especially on those big sites.
2146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian individuals are using crypto to bypass sanctions on: March 29, 2022, 11:50:45 AM
Some people might be able to bypass some sanctions but it’s quite tough to be able to. Most exchanges are KYC & aren’t allowing Russian nationals to trade with them atm. You can avoid sanctions by using crypto but how are they supposed to buy significant amounts of crypto when exchanges won’t accept their fiat?

Perhaps they could ask a relative, a friend, or any other people they know for a little favor of conversion of fiat to crypto to jump around the restrictions of the central exchangers. That way, they could utilize their money amidst the sanctions imposed to them. For sure, most people in Russia know someone outside the country whom they trust on to do them a little thing for the sake of survival.

Although I don't really know how long they will be able to do this. Because after all, people have their own lives to attend to. Hopefully, the conflict between the two countries will be over soon so that the sanctions would be lifted and the innocent citizens lives will come back to normal.
2147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Saved Me. on: March 29, 2022, 11:19:25 AM
I will only believe to this story if the OP is not known for being a thread starter. His account just recently created last March 9 and if this story is real, This thread should be his first created thread. Maybe some screenshots of the trading journey will make this story really authentic. I’m really not buying this kind of story for newbie especially earning thrice the profit while crypto trading risk is very high considering the current volatility of price in both up and down.

If you really earn then that’s good. But remember your luck really saves you and not Bitcoin.

You have a point. OP is still a newbie in this forum yet he profited thrice from trading which is quite impressive for a newbie. Perhaps this is what they called beginner's luck. Although, not everyone really experiences that because most of the time, newbies fall into pressure and fear which causes them to act impulsively such as giving in to panic buying and selling. Your suggestion of putting images such as screenshot as proof could be of great help to know whether OP is telling the truth or not. Well, this matter will only happen if he's got a time to spare to make it proven.

Nonetheless, whether his story is true or not, it's his conscience. If he really profits that much, then better for him. He could make so much from that profit and he could use it as a motivation to push harder next time. If not, then too bad. However, he could also use that experience to strive for more and to aim earning through crypto.
2148  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting more skills in trading on: March 26, 2022, 03:44:58 PM
It's good to study a lot of indicators, however, you can't apply them all in your chart since it would just bring confusion to you, 2 or 3 indicators to use are enough, in my opinion. Trading profession is a long term perseverance job, you need a lot of patient and money to gain experience and to make it your foundation to make profits in the long run.

It's not easy, sometimes you'll feel like you want to give up, but you should never do that. Always finish what you've started, it's all worth the risk.
2149  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: March 26, 2022, 03:03:49 PM
I played before in stake but I don't receive any information that they made a partnership with Drake well if that so it's a good marketing to get a huge name joins to their platform for sure its large promotions and budget to become part of them for sure tons of new gambler comes with the stake because they start a partnership with them so it already build trust because of the star and of course drake doesn't want to break those trust of his followers and its good to courage more player to the stake.

I guess the partnership just suddenly happen. Or perhaps this is all planned ahead. Either way, the collaboration of Drake and Stake exhibits a win-win scenario. Drake has been an active gambler ever since and he has a wide reach to influence. Having this kind of partnership can benefit both of them. Maybe in the future there would be more other personalities and celebrities joining the partnership with Stake which is a good thing as well because there would be more people to endorse. Although they should just assure that they would still give the same quality of service despite the endorsements.
2150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your opinions about simulated reality games? on: March 26, 2022, 02:14:59 PM
Even though there are Reality Simulation Games, I think most gamblers still choose sports betting as they have done before because it can give them the real experience of seeing their teams or players compete. In addition, reality simulation games can be structured in such a way by developers to approach what they want and of course, this will be different from the real game. But I think some gamblers choose this game and find their own fun in playing this game and I think it depends on how gamblers can enjoy it. Maybe we can't enjoy it well but other gamblers can find something different in the game.

This just really depends on the gambler himself. People have different perspective and taste on things. Some people prefer to gamble in a physical casino itself or online because they can enjoy it much better. The thrill and excitement in playing is on another level to some whenever they play in actual form. While other people might prefer to gamble in simulation scenarios because it is convenient and more accessible to them. Although sometimes, simulated games are rigged and controlled. I guess this also depends on the operator and provider. Hence, the player must do a background check first.

I suggest if someone would want to try simulated games, pick an operator and provider that are reputable so they won't have their money wasted.

Nakuha mo kabayan.

2152  Local / Pilipinas / Re: GCash offering crypto services soon on: March 26, 2022, 12:15:28 PM
2153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The paradox of arbitrage betting (and how to make money on it) on: March 25, 2022, 03:54:42 PM
The problem is that bookmakers (at least in my country) fight successful bettors not only on formal grounds (prohibition of arbitrage bets, multi-accounts for receiving bonuses, etc.) but also simply because such bettors are profitable. It can be called differently, like a ban on "value betting", but basically, for no reason, successful bettors have their betting limit reduced and they are practically deprived of the opportunity to bet at least some significant amounts.

I noticed this too. Most bettors that frequently play and win a bet are usually the ones who have decreased in limits as well as odds. Sometimes, these situations aren't even given into the sight of the bettor. There's no notification or alert given that they have decreased the limit and odds due to their playstyle and frequency of playing which is unfair on the side of the player because they've been a patronage.

I guess the casinos do this to balance the system. Perhaps this is their way to make someone deliberately play over and over again due to some adjustments. Or maybe this is their way so that they won't lose much money in a player who knows how to top up his game.
2154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why offline casino go online? Thoughts? on: March 25, 2022, 03:20:21 PM
So I came through the article concerning the fact that a lot of crypto casinos at the moment are going online. The offline casinos are moving towards the crypto trend. The following article states the following reasons that might be going:
1. Pandemic
2. Innovative industry, cryptocurrencies
3. Moving to New markets
4. Mobile friendly
https://igamingbusiness.com/company-news/why-offline-casino-operators-go-online/

Do you think it's profitable for the casinos to go online at the moment since considering the amount of competition that there is and considering how many sites have shut down, even some old ones.

Whereas the traditional casinos continue to provide a sense of fun and adventure in the moment for most people. Therefore should the online casinos do extend their administration futher and go offline as well? What if most amazing crypto casinos went offline as well !? You think that would be a profitable industry?

Offline casino owners have to keep up with the competition even if it means to transition and adjust to a whole new level of environment. This is necessary to keep their business running, if they want to keep it in par with other casinos right now that we're still in the middle of a pandemic.

The list you have mentioned could really be the reason why casinos go online nowadays. The pandemic situation made it difficult for people to go outside due to stringent health protocols which is why most casino operations halted too. Maybe going online is what they thought of to continue operating, to cater the needs of their patronage and of course, to profit still despite the restrictions and policies imposed.

Innovation should be on their consideration as well, because we're already in the 21st century and therefore, people always crave for something new and refreshing. They have to innovate and go with the flow with what's on trend so they won't be lost on track. Moving on with new market reach counts in too because as time passes by, the reach of a business transitions too. Marketing their services to other classes and bracket could be of great help to keep them relevant.

Lastly, being mobile friendly. People always want convenience. I haven't really met anyone who wants to do something the hard way when there's an option to make it easier. Having the casinos on mobile phones make it quick to navigate and access. If they would make their games accessible, more people would use it and therefore, they'll have more opportunity to make an income out of it.
2155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your favorite casino reviewer here in Bitcointalk? on: March 25, 2022, 02:49:10 PM
These 2 standout among the casino review sites. At least, we can say, there are still couple of them that are worth reading these days when you think of many review sites that are trying hard to get a nod from the gambling community. We can both use these sites as reference or potential source of information before sending any penny to these sites, which is actually helpful to some extent. Though actual experience may vary from time to time but it will lessen our chance to be screwed by these scam casinos.
Yup.
That's really the usage of these reviews websites for us to have an idea on what others thinking about these casinos that we're visiting. If someone has a doubt to that casino, he's going to look for any other legitimate source so that they can gather information and feedbacks towards that casino.
The personal experience from those reviewers and from you can really be different at a time but if it's the majority's experience, there's no need to doubt with it.

I agree. Those feedbacks and reviews help so much to the existing players and to the newbies. Having many players who review gambling casinos is beneficial in the community because more members would be knowledgeable about the advantages and disadvantages a casino holds. There are various ways have a casino review which is either the casino pays someone to review them unbiased or the player makes a review himself about his personal experience towards it.

Personally, I'm more leaning to those reviews that are first-hand experience of the players because they are more factual and unbiased compared to the sponsored one, of course. This could be uplifting and rewarding as well to the reviewer himself because he get to hit two birds with one stone - getting to try different casinos and helping the community by giving their unfiltered experience that could help the players weigh pros and cons, as well as to help them decide on whether a casino is worth to try or not.
2156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Largest Slots Win in Washington State History on: March 25, 2022, 02:17:08 PM
This is in Washington though. The gambler seems not a very wealthy man but still gambles for $5 per spin. Too much for a slot spin. Well just as what they are saying "bet big to win big".

It could be that he is too desperate to win to make a living, being a painter is not a job that will give $3000 any moment but according to the article, he is frequent in the casino. Lucky to have a girlfriend that supports him for being a gambler. They are not a very common couple.

I don't want to ruin the "romantic notions" but this is a very common situation for many couples. If she viewed him as a short-term partner, then she absolutely does not care how he spends money. On the contrary, a relationship without commitment implies an openness to reckless actions. But now that he (or they?) are millionaires, perhaps her attitude will change.

It could be the case. Sometimes, those couple who aren't really into each other don't really mind the businesses of one another because they don't see any future plans with them. Maybe because they got turn off with the attitude and ways, but it's convenient to have them by their side, hence, break up does not happen. Or perhaps, they are that type of couple who are just supportive of one another.

It is also a possibility that they support each other so much even with the things they love doing such as their hobbies. This is what occurs in a healthy relationship. As long as both parties know their limitations, they won't really restrict or impose. Maybe his partner assures her that he won't go beyond the set boundaries such as spending beyond his financial capacity, that's why the girlfriend let's him do the betting.
2157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: DiceBot Script! on: March 25, 2022, 01:42:12 PM
I will never understand why people use this kind of scripts, the whole point of gambling is to have fun while you gamble creating an automatic script that bets for you and does all job is only justified if you could make money in the long run and we know that is impossible, so if people really want to throw away their money that much they could just burn it, that is faster.

Foremost, not really everyone plays for the sake of being entertained or to make it as their past-time. Not everyone has the luxury of shedding out money for a bet that will just satisfy or bring them enjoyment. Most people who are into gambling are playing for the sake of money - profit to be exact. These people who take their chances to make money in gambling usually use script because it makes them more confident that they will win with the help of it. However, since script isn't really perfect, it doesn't work everytime.

Scripts aren't suitable for the long-term usage. Because most of the time, the house already detects and makes countermeasures against it. Hence, scripts can just be used for a limited of time, depending as well on the casino you are playing. If people would opt to use it and make it their staple every bet they make, they will definitely lose more money instead of making one. It could be beneficial, it could be not. It depends on the situation and of course, these people know the risks that come with it.
2158  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: March 25, 2022, 01:10:21 PM
^

The main thing is that such partnerships do not lead to the growth of gambling addiction among young people because Drake's Twitter account has almost 40 million followers and as I understand most of this audience is under 18. I hope money doesn't come first for him and he understands what it can lead to.

If I understood it correctly, you are saying that such partnerships and collaborations could lead to growth of gambling addiction amongst the youth, since his wide reach of audience has the scope of age that is also below 18 years of age. However, I don't really think it will trigger addiction by that mere collab and influence since he isn't really outright campaigning and telling them to gamble irresponsibility.

In addition, this matter still lies on the free will of his followers. It's their choice if they would let him influence them or not. They still have the freedom to choose, and it's not as if anyone is controlling or insisting them to gamble. Self-restraint and discipline should still be come from within and inside the conversations among family, especially if they are still minors.
2159  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be comfortable with your strategy! on: March 25, 2022, 12:16:08 PM
I don't know why most traders probably thinks having many strategies will result to them making nice profits from daily trading. However, I have come to realized that it's not necessary having too many strategies.  You just have to build a strategy which work for you and stick to it. Although, that doesn't guarantee that you won't lose. But, having a good strategy will minimize lost. Also, avoid been too emotional, as a trader, you must learn how to control your feelings.

I agree.

Having only few strategies make things easier, because you won't be confused on what to use next after you lose a trade. Trading is a very risky and confusing way of making money, but always worth the risk. Using too many strategies after losing a trade is a waste of time, in my opinion, because losing just one trade doesn't really mean that your strategy is not working, losing in trading is just normal.
2160  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What did you learn about crypto trading? on: March 24, 2022, 03:35:03 PM
I have learned two best things from crypto.
1: Never create a sell limit order where a flick could exercise it. (Lost heavily).
2:  Never make a move based on the news. (Heavy loss). Too few big whales left in exchanges that can easily  manipulate the market using a lot less funds.

Actually the news thing is true, cryptocurrency is also affected by news especially when Bitcoin is the one that's on the news (a bad news), then altcoins is also affected. About the limit order, it is true, that's why before making a trade, always check your technical analysis to be aware of possible fake outs to avoid loss of profits, because that's what always got me when I was just starting trading last year.
