1861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you educate petty traders in adopting Bitcoin? on: June 13, 2022, 12:22:04 PM
I have come to realize that mostly on daily basis, petty traders; hawker stall, street vendors, street hawkers, market men and women, kiosks do transactions often and frequently and they are not amongst the top class citizens in the society. Some are uneducated and are not anywhere near technology to get acquainted with blockchain and Bitcoin. I believe if they are informed and have knowledge about Bitcoin properly they will want to key into it so as to save themselves of unnecessary stress and expenses from banks and other groups.
What's your opinion in educating these petty traders and letting them know more about Bitcoin because  I believe this is amongst the grassroot adoption which starts from the base as they do transact more often than some of the big companies we hear of. Although the petty traders do little amount but it is most often on daily basis.
What steps would you take in drawing the attention of the traders to Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is not for everyone. You can try to educate them by several means such as conducting some sort of bitcoin awareness program in areas where you see most people are uneducated in bitcoin or you can try to make infographics if you don't have much time to discuss it. Then just give away the infographics on the streets for them to read it on their own pacing. These are just a few examples of what you can actually do in educating these so-called petty traders.

However, it will be all up to them if they will give bitcoin a shot or not. It's still a personal preference after all. We can't force everyone to like and do bitcoin because we have our own preferences on how we want to do things. And just because it worked for us, it doesn't necessarily mean it would work for them too. To each his own. We can educate, but we cannot impose.
1862  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why we should Buy some Bitcoins on: June 13, 2022, 11:48:50 AM
Now is really the good opportunity to buy bitcoin because the market is bearish meaning the prices are low. This indicates a good buying scenario wherein an investor can maximize his fund but the returns will take a while, particularly the enter of bullish season. During the lowest of lows of the market where the whales rejoice because they can hoard as much and sell it at higher price value when the right time comes.

This should also be the attitude of most of us if we want to succeed. Although of course, we should still take into consideration the risks of buying coins at this season because not all coins has the potential to increase in price after the bearish market ends. Research is still a must especially if you don't have much to spare.
1863  Economy / Economics / Re: Who will Replace Russian Gas Supplies to Europe? on: June 13, 2022, 06:28:33 AM
Maybe Europe can always look for another alternative but I think it's hard for the European countries to boycott Russia when it comes to oil and natural gases. The europe need Russia oil Wich is a vital means for most European countries to survive. I think we have other african countries and Asia countries that sell oil too. They can be getting oil from those countries too to boycott the Russian oil.

I think it will be challenging for Europe to find an alternative source and seller of oil to them given that majority of the supplies really come from Russia. It will be hard to scout a country to offer such because oil is a natural resource which is only abundant in specific areas just like Russia and middle east. Perhaps they could find one but the price and transportation fees won't be the same just like what Russia offers.

The current conflict is still one of the main reasons why oil's price is continuously increasing. Majority of the world is affected and hopefully it won't be that long because every commodities and services are now also increasing in price which results to fewer things to be availed with the same amount of salary received.
1864  Economy / Economics / Re: Solar panels set to be mandatory on all new buildings under EU plan on: June 13, 2022, 05:57:46 AM
It's a good initiative that more and more countries have been transitioning into energy efficient methods to conserve energy and electricity consumption. It's a nice move for Europe to impose this given that it will be beneficial in the long run. However, I think before they totally mandate very building to be installed with solar panels, they should first assess the capability of the owners to make it happen. Perhaps setting a considerable time frame would be nice so that they will not be shocked and be burdened with sudden expenses for installation of the panels.

Because as we all know, installing a solar power system could be expensive. While it is sustainable and cost efficient in the long run, they have to shed out a huge amount of money first. In addition, the return of investment will also not be instantly given. It will take years before they get their money's worth in solar panels. Hence, thinking about the financial matters should be in their list too.

Switching to eco-friendly methods such as retrofitting which they will require through solar panels will really be helpful in combatting energy efficiency gap and it will be healthier to the environment. It's just that there are other factors that should be considered too before they make it officially mandated.
1865  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: June 13, 2022, 05:25:17 AM
Russia always have some plans to come out of the problem while a part of the world is looking for ways to keep it isolated from the rest of the world. A complete boycott isn't necessary, because everyone aren't supporting the war. We need to see it as a form of business, just because the country is into war we cannot make its people suffer. Russia have got restrictions in the participation of different sporting activities, in my opinion that too is not necessary because every sportsman is talking about peace and they never want war.

Indeed, not every Russian citizen is supporting the war their president has declared against Ukraine. Some people still have empathy and compassion on them. It will just makes things worse if ever the boycotting will be supported because the innocent ones will suffer and bear the consequences of the thing they can't control to begin with. This will be unfair to those gambling site and casino owners who just want to make a living.

Perhaps what should be done is to make a thoroughly research about the stance of these Russian gambling owners to the conflict happening between their country anc neighboring country, Ukraine. If it will be proven that they indeed support the violent activities of their leader, then that's the right time to boycott.
1866  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you know how to trust online sportsbooks? on: June 13, 2022, 04:51:43 AM
The user experience is always good.

Like from the forum it self, don't believe any word from influencer or random youtube channel. What's the most important things about any kind casino or sportsbooks, how they pay the user. Here my list research of casino/sportbook
1. Restriction country
2. How they process the withdraw: Fast? any limit withdraw or not.
3. How their customer service : Live chat or email.
4. See a review not only one, but a few review.

This is also the first thing that I look for before putting my trust into a gambling website. The user experience will tell it all to potential players if the casino is offering great quality of service or not. When a person enjoyed the service provided, surely they will do the honor of spreading about it to their friends and the cycle will continue to happen. Overall quality of service for me depends on their processing time of transaction, deposit, and withdrawal. Addressing the concerns and issues at hand is important for me too because this just clearly give away if they are just after for profits or the customers' welfare and satisfaction as well.
1867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when the market is downtrend? on: June 11, 2022, 04:26:06 PM
It's pretty much worrisome if the market is on its bearsih season if you don't know how to utilize the situation. This season could be a sign of hopelessness to some, while others might find this season very beneficial. Those who are smart are the ones who know how to utilize the market on their advantage.

Being able to invest in this time in potential coins could bring an advantage once bull market comes in. Just like what they say, when others are fearful, be greedy. This is the time where most people, if not all are being afraid of what lies ahead. But this is also a great opportunity to buy and invest in coins that could soar high, at a low price point. Although of course, this must still be acted upon with caution because it still possesses risks.
1868  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trading: My First Proper Attempt in Learning on: June 11, 2022, 04:21:49 PM
Did you jump straight into bitcoin or crypto trading as a novice or did you already have some experience trading in stocks, and Forex before venturing into trading in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies?

I didn't.

Jumping right away just because you have money isn't gonna work, especially if you're trading in futures. Cryptocurrency trading is hard, especially in futures, at least you know the basics first and emotion control would help too. Stock trading is hard as well but safer than futures since your money won't be liquidated but you're unlucky if you bought a coin and then it rug pulled, that's why technical analysis is a must.
1869  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID had widened the gap between world's richest and poorest on: June 11, 2022, 02:57:08 PM
There is also a place where their government borrowed a huge amount of money that is supposedly the fund that is going to be used to aid people that's suffering from COVID-19 and to buy health related stuffs that are going to be given to their people, yet, they manipulated the funds by buying "expensive" stuffs to counter COVID-19 to an unknown pharmaceutical company.

And now, the people from that place are the one who is going to pay all that debt, what a shame. I've just realized that even in the times of chaos, evil people will still choose money over humanity.
1870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will countries ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns? on: June 11, 2022, 01:45:18 PM
If it is about environmental concerns, it's so lame if countries will ban Bitcoin Mining. I mean, there's a lot of things already that are destroying our environment, pollution because of car smokes, smokes from factories, deforestation, overpopulation, and many more. Other miners stopped mining because of it's maintenance, bills, and taxes, but others still continue using hash pool to maximize their profits and lower the energy cost.
1871  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Crypto taxation in the Philippines coming soon? on: June 11, 2022, 12:39:00 PM
We are slowly getting there, hinde talaga ito mapipigilan especially now that the government is need more money to pay our debts pero syempre, sana lang magkaroon ng magandang crypto regulation despite of paying those taxes, mas ok na ito kesa iban ng government naten.

1872  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Paano mahanap ang best cryptocurrency? on: June 11, 2022, 11:44:57 AM

See my post regarding WHALES investors (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5401305.msg60284472#msg60284472)

While the Demand and supply na sinabi mo OP is could be easily manipulated by whales. Kaya para saken, the best way to find best cryptocurrency is sticking to the mother of them all, and to top coins to save time for research.
1873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting vs Online Casino Games: Which do you prefer? on: June 11, 2022, 11:07:19 AM
If I'm gonna play gambling again, I would choose sports betting. It's much easier compare to online casino games, because sports betting rely on data, it's about pure probability and statistics to increase your chance of winning. Also, sports betting is much entertaining in my opinion, you could watch your best team, player, or horse, while knowing that you could win.

But of course it requires solid data analysis and time to study about sports betting before making huge profits on it.
1874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots is More Likely to Cause Gambling Problem on: June 10, 2022, 12:07:59 PM
Slots machine is addicting because it's easy to play, people love it, of course you could make money on it easily if you are lucky. People love to earn big amount of money in an easy way, that's why slots is one the games that could be the key to make wealth overnight. However, most of the population of slots players are losing too much money because they can't stop, unless they hit the jackpot already, maybe they will stop for a while and enjoy their fortune.

Gambling addiction is a very serious disease that should be treated right away before it's too late. It's sad because most of them don't want to be help, since they don't admit that they are addicted in the first place.
1875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Length of Time Before You Learn All These Gambling Terms Or Jargons on: June 10, 2022, 07:01:38 AM
The only terms I know was martingale, wage, multiplier, odd, house edge, etc. since when I started gambling I don't really have any experience on cryptocurrency casino. I stopped playing a long time ago before learning all the stuffs in gambling. But it might take a while for someone to learn all terms in gambling. It will also gonna need a lot of money to be spend before you get enough experience to survive in gambling world, and in no time you'll notice that you've learned a lot from it.
1876  Local / Pilipinas / Re: WHALES investors mabuti o masama? on: June 10, 2022, 01:48:44 AM

1877  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: [MMORPG]Ni no Kuni NFT? on: June 10, 2022, 01:02:23 AM
1878  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice for poor people who wanna get some crypto on: June 09, 2022, 12:47:13 PM
Bounty and airdrops are waste of time. By the time hunter gets anything and it gets listed somewhere, half a year would pass. By that time he could have done some freelance jobs to get a starting capital to buy at least some crypto, instead of doing useless retweets and shares. Hope that people dont advice to try luck in faucets Cheesy as this is way more stupidest way to spend time.

I think it's not totally a waste of time especially if you don't have anything to do at all, if you got lucky, you'll find an airdrop that gives decent amount of money, and it's both free access doing those thing so technically they don't have anything to lose. It's all about trial and error until you hit the jackpot that you're looking for.
1879  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading journals worth it? on: June 09, 2022, 11:55:24 AM
It depends, in my opinion.

Other traders might find it helpful and others might find it devastating. Your mistakes that you wrote in your journal could help you to avoid the same mistake, which leads to growth because you're gonna find another way to correct it instead of doing it again. On the other perspective, looking at your mistakes in your journal might give you a certain impact like discouraging yourself to quit trading because you committed already a lot of mistakes and stopping trading is more wise.
1880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Effectively Maximize Profits from Online Crypto Casinos on: June 08, 2022, 11:15:44 AM
In gambling, there are games that are also based on skill not luck, that is why a strategy can be effective to use with them. Sportsbetting is also a type of gambling that I think, not mainly depends on luck but it's about your knowledge or the ability to do a research if which teams performs better.
In gambling where the odds of winning are not always based on luck but for this type of sportbetting gambling then we have to do research and team abilities based on the previous few matches, we can see that low-skill teams do not have high bet amounts because gamblers have predicted impartially for weak teams because of the risk of losing the bet. So the comparison is much different from other types of gambling based on gambling games that rely more on luck to win on the next spin.

In luck based games such as roulette and slot we can only strategize as much as we want but the rest will be up to the luck you possess. It's either the odds will be on your favor or not. Meanwhile, in sportsbetting, a person must have the skills and knowledge need to determine and analyze what might be the outcome and whose team might win.

This will be achieved by only doing an in depth research about the subject before placing a bet. Knowing the history of the team, the coach, their track record of winnings and losing as well as the personality of each member will help a lot. And then of course you hope for the best. Because after all, no matter how strong a team is, tables turning at the latter part of the game is always possible.
