2761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Scammers put bad impact to Our Government about Bitcoin Transections. on: October 14, 2021, 10:21:58 AM
In my country Someone bought a BMW Car by scamming in crypto transections and Police arrested him and told that the guy was a cheater and he was a crypto scammer. And this case is now the most viral topic. This incident shocked the whole country and also the Central bank authority about how he got this huge money and this incident put a bad impact in crypto.

I think Digital Currency like Crypto isn't getting much popularity because of these Scammers. They are one of the most strong reason why Government's aren't showing interest on Crypto Transections.

The reputation of crypto has been tainted because of these scenarios. It's just so saddening that people use this to do illegal activities instead of using it rightfully. Crypto has been the saving grace of some of us. It paved way to earning more income and profit whatever your social status is. Unfortunately, there are just abusers of the system built for decentralization who paint bitcoin and other coins on a bad light.

Despite this, it isn't enough to put the blame on crypto because it is only a tool just like with fiat. There are criminal activities recorded with fiat and crypto. The people who are using it to do things prohibited by the law are the problem. Also, i would just like to add that government's reason for not recognizing crypto isn't really focused on the scam, but because of its nature. Crypto is decentralized and and cannot be controlled not manipulated by anyone unlike fiat. Hence, government does not want any of it unless they benefit from it such as taxing it and regulating it.
2762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: October 13, 2021, 11:59:14 AM
Crawford and Porter's match is approaching fast. It's almost a month from now. Despite not being the most awaited game because Crawford and Spence is actually the one that excites the people (which had a conflict due to splitting of cash prize), this match will still surely be entertaining to watch. The two boxers have a reputable records over the years and it will be no wonder that their game will be thrilling as well.

Although I think the game would be in favor of Crawford given his standing as of now. But I'm not underestimating Porter's ability and skills as well. Three days ago (Oct 10) they held the official announcement of their fight with the press. The two seemed very great match for each other. Hopefully, there will be no hindrances for their upcoming fight.
2763  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where can I sell my crypto gambling account? on: October 13, 2021, 11:06:15 AM
Where can I sell crypto gambling accounts?
I have two accounts, one is BC.GAME VIP level 30 account and the other is Betfury.io level 6 account

You can sell your accounts on Digital Goods section. But may I ask why are you selling your accounts? What does the potential buyers benefit from buying it? Does it have some kind of perks you can mention?

Although i think selling gambling accounts from aforementioned games were actually prohibited. So instead of benefiting, the potential buyers will have a burden to carry if ever the authorities will suddenly detect the passage of ownership that could lead to banning. If I'm not mistaken, it was written on both terms of service of both games that it is indeed prohibited to sell accounts. This is implemented by most casinos to ensure the security of the account holders as well as the community. If you're not that in need of money, I suggest to just keep your account with you. Identity theft is common nowadays. Who knows if ever your account won't be banned, but could be used for illegal activities.
2764  Economy / Gambling / Re: There isn’t a poker room you could win at ? on: October 13, 2021, 10:28:17 AM
I mean I do win against players, I can do it for a week, a month and even a year but I always lose to the house.

The rake and house wins, it’s like impossible to beat the house...

Foremost, the house is not playing against you. It isn't participating in the game against any other player so it is understood that the house won't win against anyone. If you're having a hard time with the rake, most probably it's already the best time to go find another website that has lower rake so you won't be ranting here. You have mentioned that you can win against other players for many times if you want to, then why don't you play against different players all the time to guarantee a win? It will really be impossible to beat the house when it wasn't playing the in the first place. I think you should ponder on your question. Maybe you are just a little confused.
2765  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling license on: October 13, 2021, 09:49:15 AM
Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I'm looking to rent a legit online gambling license. What's the best way to do so?

I think this matter depends on what country you currently are in. Based on what I've read, the requirements needed in order to obtain a gambling license are almost the same with the requirements needed for banking activities. So if you already have an idea what are the things needed in doing banking activities, you should get it ready so that it will be less hassle on your part. In addition, it was also stated that it's needed to have an experience on financial related works so that the stability of the company/business will be assured.

Gambling license is needed to ensure the honesty, integrity, and transparency of the business. It is also needed for tax verification purposes and legality most of all.
2766  Economy / Gambling / Re: I am a bookmaker worker. Want to share info with you on: October 13, 2021, 09:12:18 AM
Hi. I am an employee in a popular russian bookmaker company.
I can provide you a very good information about matches, for this I am looking for a good worker, who can create accounts from different countries and bet for me (from 300 to 1000$ per match).
I am long time in this business, so write me only if you can provide big amount of good quality accounts.
I use not only bet365 but also other international bookies, so I will consider all your proposals.
Hope, we can make a good business together:)

If you are already in this kind of business for so many years now, then why are you asking someone you don't know about to do an account for you for betting? If what you're saying is true, that you can provide good information, why don't you do it yourself so you can earn more? I suppose you have earned and profited a lot from doing this thing, hence, there's no reason to ask here for support. It's really sketchy in my opinion because most likely, this would be some sort of scam, a typical one. You can find some other ways to change address so that it will appear to be in Asia, Europe and the likes. Despite providing the money for betting, there's really no guarantee that the account (with personal information) would be in safe hands. Who knows if once you got the prize, you'll just disappear into thin air. We all just want to be secured and safe after all.
2767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 Major League Baseball (MLB) Season on: October 12, 2021, 03:14:22 PM
I started an MLB thread but couldn’t seem to get much traction with it which I guess goes to show how unpopular baseball is worldwide and how other sports such as football are becoming even more popular worldwide while baseball falls to the wayside. That said, looking forward to the elimination game between Boston and New York, doesn’t get much better than that. Also as a Cubs fan I’ll be rooting for anyone facing the Cardinals..hopefully they won’t last long lol

I agree.

Cardinals is always at the top but Yankees is the reigning king in baseball for years already. I'm a fan of Shohei Ohtani so I'll be rooting for Angels to be on the top in the American league baseball. I'm just a newbie fan in baseball, like maybe 9 months since I've watched Ace no Diamond anime, I've also became a baseball fan.

Right now, RAYS is at the top in the American League while BREWERS is at the top in the national league.
2768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: WARNING generated about Sorare.com on: October 12, 2021, 01:50:13 PM
I was thinking about solaire since they sound alike but they are different. Sorare is an NFT soccer game if I'm not mistaken and someone posted here in gambling section asking if it's worth it to buy expensive teams on them. My opinion is that they don't need a license since it is an NFT and we're talking about cryptocurrency here which is decentralized. I think the Government just wants some additional taxes on their personal wallets that's why they are trying to heat things up regarding about NFT, just like here in our country.
2769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Metaverse x Gambling on: October 12, 2021, 12:59:37 PM
Many felt that this is something that is worth checking or waiting for, and I think that with a little effort from the community this will also attract more participants who will invest and this might skyrocket anytime in the near future. As the world of gambling has a very wide range of participants especially those who also participate in cryptocurrency, plus the excitement that NFT brings to the community, then there is a big chance that this will hit off and new projects will arise.
But looking at the perspective that many will be attracted to it, there will be the common investors and players that will be into it due to the hype.

Still, it will have those real players that are really into the game and hooked with it.

You should wait for someone to have full details and explanation about the games, not those who promote it in youtube where those influencers are also their investors. Just like these few months ago where the NFT games are popular and there are lots of investors who are attracted to it until they know the full intentions of the developers where most of them are only finding opportunities to rug pull and let the new investors suffer. These guys just let you invest in their games without conscience you might think that you get some high amount of cash but in reality, you only wasting your time and money especially when you invested late into the game.

I agree.

That's why investing to an NFT is only good if you're an early adopter, because as the months passing by, for sure they will just downgrade the features like the amount of NFT you earn per battle while increasing the difficulty or gas fee (if there is) also while their token is suffering from oversupply that's why the price is rocketing down. It's really like ponzi schemes, it's all about how fast you are on using their service and then pull out, because if you're late, your funds are screwed.
2770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Tips- what kind of strategies do you use when playing? on: October 12, 2021, 12:07:39 PM
I fell in love with poker when the whole Texas Hold'em craze started around 2003-4ish range.  I was in college at the time and man we played every single night for months on end.  Bought a chip set as well which I still have.  Unfortunately I haven't been playing as much as I'd like to lately, but plan to start getting in to playing more soon.  I'm just curious what kind of strategies you guys employ when playing?  I know there aren't a ton of tricks one can use, but there are some out there.  I guess there's also a big difference when you're playing in person ( bluffing strategies ) vs playing online.  I'd like to hear tips/tricks/strategies for both!
Comparing out playing online poker and playing poker physically or in front with other players does really have different vibe.
When it comes to tricks and ways then it would really be a combination but commonly these are the things been done.

Play Fewer Hands And Play Them Aggressively.
Don't Be The First Player To Limp.
“Semi-Bluff” Aggressively with Your Draws.
Fast-Play Your Strong Hands to Build the Pot and Make More Money.
Defend Your Big Blind (with the Right Hands)
Fold When You're Unsure.

Source: https://upswingpoker.com/quick-poker-tips-texas-holdem/

I have copied it out because this is surely what most people been doing most of the time.

My favorite is the "Fold when you're unsure", I mean it depends on your opponents. Bluff won't work to those opponents who are after thrill, because no matter how big you raise your bet, they'll just call it and you'll be in so much more hell of a situation you can't ever imagine. Folding doesn't mean you'll lose next turn, it means accepting defeat while maintaining your composure, since it's hard to think of a strategy when you're pissed because you just made a very stupid decision.
2771  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the role of fiat currency disappear against crypto. on: October 11, 2021, 10:51:21 AM
Currently, there are many usd-based stablecoins such as, usdt, busd, usdc and maybe many others.  To be honest, I used to think that crypto would completely eliminate the usd's dominance of the world economy but I was wrong, it turns out that usd is now evolving to crypto (stablecoins).  What do you think, whether in the future bitcoin or other crypto can replace the role of currency in each country and leave fiat currencies such as usd, euro, yuan and others.

I don't think the fiat's role will disappear just because crypto is booming. Both fiat and crypto can coexist without having to be constantly pitted from each other. Crypto can thrive without eliminating and replacing the position of the USD. In addition, I don't think that the government will really allow cryptocurrency to dominate since it is a decentralized asset. Although right now, it is very evident in the exchanger and trading platforms that USD is becoming a coin as well. As a matter of fact, USD is the usual conversion of most coins if users were to trade their tokens or sell them. Crypto can be an alternative but will not totally replace the role of currency in each country. The central organization and the government, in general, were to decide whether they would honor the legality and the usage of crypto in their place. Hence, what you are asking is close to impossible since the government does not want something they can't control nor manipulate.
2772  Other / Archival / Re: The beginning of the end of traditional payment processors? on: October 11, 2021, 09:50:56 AM
El Salvador became the first country where bitcoin was accepted as a means of payment. How has this affected centralized payment systems and what will be the trend in the future as more countries follow the path of El Salvador?

I recently came across an article https://www.kevinrooke.blog/el-salvador-and-bitcoin-two-weeks-in/. It talked about how bitcoin adoption proceeds in El Salvador, and there I discovered interesting facts.

Thanks to El Salvador, the Lightning Network received a powerful impetus in development. This happened thanks to the popularization of the Chivo wallet and the incentives that the government of El Salvador guaranteed when it was installed. In total, the Lightning Network gained about 2 million new users:

Many users began to actively use bitcoin payments and money transfer using the Chivo wallet and support for the Lightning Network. Consequently, the Salvadorans increasingly began to use bitcoin services instead of the usual banking or payment processors:

Quote
Most of El Salvador's banks and payment processors have user ratings of 2-4 stars, while Bitcoin related apps have user ratings of 3-5 stars.
Specifically, El Salvador's largest bank, Banco Agricola has among the worst user reviews on the top 20 charts. El Salvador's leading mobile money transfer platform, Tigo Money, has reviews that are just as bad.

The use of the Lightning Network has exploded, creating a powerful network effect with the infusion of several million new users into the ecosystem. People see the benefits and potential of fast, low-cost transfers and are choosing to use the Lightning Network over the usual centralized transfer methods. This is evidenced by the official data of the stock market.

As we can see, since July (when El Salvador's plans to accept bitcoin were announced), Western Union and MoneyGram began to fall, and continue their downward trend. While bitcoin is growing and gaining strength.

The era of traditional money transfers is coming to an end and this business, if it does not disappear completely, will significantly reduce its influence in the world. Other countries will follow in the wake of El Salvador, and millions of new users will join the ecosystem. What do you think about this?

It's still too early to say that this is the beginning of the end of traditional payment methods. The government of El Salvador is supporting the development of transitioning to digital payment using bitcoin as a legal tender. Hence, a lot of people are also supporting the implemented law by the government by installing the application and other things needed to be able to transact with btc. Aside from these people that use a lightning network, surely there are still people using the traditional payment methods. After all, not everyone is privileged enough to have the resources to attain such digital and contactless transactions. There are still people out there such as the less fortunate ones and the older generations that are still using traditional payment methods. Despite the surge of the rate of those people using digital options in El Salvador, in general, I still believe we are still far ahead from completely transtioning to the digital payment process all in all.
2773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM stolen in a liquior store on: October 11, 2021, 09:17:21 AM

https://twitter.com/scottbudman/status/1446540818316070917

This is the surveillance video of the liquor store itself, showing how they stole it.

Maybe this will be the new trend for criminals, breaking and stealing Bitcoin ATM across US.

Hopefully the public can help identify this crooks.

It's really alarming that the robbers are going their way out to steal such as Bitcoin ATM. Are people really desperate during this time? I get it that we're all trying to survive amidst the pandemic, but these people sure do lengthy and desperate measures. IMO, stealing a bitcoin ATM isn't really worth the risk comparing to stealing a traditional ATM. I am not in any way encouraging them to steal the latter though, but it's more rewarding if they'll just take the traditional ATM because it contains more money, if money is what they're really all after.

If they think they'll be able to steal bitcoin from that bitcoin ATM, then I feel so sorry for them. Their efforts are just going to waste. If they are after the cold cash it has, they'll just be disappointed because like what I have mentioned, it contains lesser money since only a small population are using it. Maybe if they aren't really after the cash, they're after discovering the mechanisms of the machine.
2774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am new to Bitcoin and have been using Coinbase only. on: October 11, 2021, 08:45:05 AM
I am new to crypto and everything I have done has been strictly through Coinbase. I don't have a key or anything like that.

Is my crypto safe?

What can I do to make it safer?

Everyone talks about keys, what exactly is a key. Where can I purchase one and how does it work.

Thanks and good luck to everyone. I am already up about 22 percent on my investment and extremely happy. I do feel that BTC will go to the moon.

There are different types of wallets. I guess you have the resources to do your own research so might as well do one so that you can choose what suits your preferences well. But to answer your question and to give you a gist about it, personally, I don't think your crypto is safe in Coinbase. Earlier this year, I think it was March or so, Coinbase has been breached by hackers and thousands of Coinbase users' accounts were hacked. It was said that the hackers used some sort of phishing tactics to lure their victims. Unfortunately, there were accounts that has been compromised, and their funds were stolen. Although it was reported that Coinbase made a move to compensate and address the issue to their clients, for me, it wasn't enough to regain the trust back knowing that their system was easily infiltrated by such a method.

There are software wallets and hardware wallets. Comparing the two, the most reliable one would be the hardware wallet. Software wallets such as the exchanger wallet that you have are easier to be hacked. Given that it was connected online, the risk it has is higher. Meanwhile, hardware wallets are safer considering that your private keys are stored offline. It's more difficult to be accessed by hackers unless you'll give away your seedphrase. It still has risks, but not as high. Cold storage is the best way so far to secure your assets.
2775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why businesses should accept Bitcoin payment on: October 11, 2021, 08:13:24 AM
Haven't spent some hours thinking about the advantage that is associated with Bitcoin in company ecosystems, new start-ups that are located in crypto-friendly countries are now diving into Bitcoin as payment against the regular faint traditional currencies, after administering questionnaires to some of the business CEOs stated the reason to be the anonymous nature and its intrinsic value. That is to say, Bitcoin is a business within a business because of its decentralized nature and volatile market.
So the company gain in two ways for accepting bitcoin for payments and if the price of bitcoin goes upward interest are generated also.

The big merchants are at an advantage if ever they would opt to accept bitcoin payment in their business. Making bitcoin one of their payment options eliminates the hassle of monitoring the transactions because every transaction is recorded. No more inconvenience on the part of the merchant and to the customer as well because they'll transact online via a network that provides quick processing and low transaction fee. However, to those start-ups, I don't think they have the capability to suddenly accept bitcoin as a payment method because they have to have the resources and knowledge first before diving into something volatile considering that their business is just starting to grow. \

Based on my observations, those small establishments just make their money go in cycle. They start with capital, then they need the profit and the revenue to be invested back again to buy the supplies in their business. Hence, what most of them need is an active flow of money. They can opt to have bitcoin as a payment method but I doubt they can hold as long as other big-time merchants.
2776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis vs football on: October 10, 2021, 02:06:13 PM
Am thinking of starting a betting journey and have hard experience in slots and other online gambling games which are risky because it requires a gambler to have some skills, but in tennis or live football betting is all about predictions and luck?
Which will refer for a beginner should bet on tennis games or football which among the two is easy to forecast.
Going upon the games based on your knowledge about the game seems to be the wiser choice than random pick on someone's suggestion. In my opinion tennis is good on my opinion, because I've used to it and as a beginner I've experienced good winning from tennis than any other sports in my early days of gambling.

Good point.

But a single player sport is much riskier rather than a team sport, in my opinion. Yeah, let's say you know tennis very well but what if your player got injured during a match, of course that would be automatically a win for his opponent, meaning you lose, while in a team sports like football, they could just continue the game even if someone get injured or whatsoever.

You only need to adjust if you don't know football, like you have to watch a lot of games to be able to know which team is the best to bet.
2777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 09, 2021, 03:55:03 PM
I think Chicago Bulls and Miami heat are the teams where the winning odds are in favor, that's my top 2 pic teams that will fight for the championship this 2022, just my guess though based on their past games this year. Nobody knows who's gonna be the champion next year since it will entirely depends on their team performances especially on their aces.
2778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No one talks about Sic Bo!? on: October 09, 2021, 02:38:00 PM
If I'm not mistaken, I've seen this kind of DICE game mostly on Chinese movies. It looks like it is their traditional Dice game unlike the normal dice game which we all know. The user interface looks nice, however the Dice roller is transparent which is good also because using a non transparent looks kinda unfair like in the movies because you don't know if you're being cheated or not. Never tried this kind of game but it looks very interesting and entertaining.
2779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $2.7 billion merger - Bally's Corp and Gamesys - one of the biggest in gambling on: October 09, 2021, 01:20:52 PM
I don't think that this is going to be terribly interesting.

These land-based casinos have no expertise when it comes to running online based casinos and thus I do not believe in their long term future.

The bulk of the innovation is likely going to come from smaller players and startups who have adopted crypto and have been operating for a good part of the last decade.

I don't think so.

Cryptocurrency is very inspirational and moving. Even countries decided to accept and invest in cryptocurrency to fight the economic suffering of their country, and it is possible that most of the industry will also do the same thing, because they could earn so much more rather than sticking to fiat. Businessmen are always after for profits, therefore I don't see it impossible at all in the gambling industry. They just need time and proper knowledge to start adapting cryptocurrency.
2780  Economy / Economics / Re: Is budgeting still effective in tackling the need to constantly withdraw money? on: October 09, 2021, 11:18:45 AM
Withdrawal can become a habit. Once you develop the habit of withdrawing either fiat or converting your crypto holding to local currency for use, It almost becomes so difficult to break.

Needs and wants/problems to solve with money never stop arising, how do you handle your withdrawal? Be sincere, considering that local currency is becoming less of value as the cost of things are constantly rising now, so much that the cost price today is not the cost price tomorrow. Is a budget still effective in your opinion?

Withdrawing and exchanging your coins into your local currency requires self-restraint. You have to know your limits so you won't be able to touch the coins intended to be held for the long term. Otherwise, you'll end up regretting it later.

Personally, budgeting is still effective. I guess it's just a matter of discipline on how you will spend and save your money. As for me, I prioritize the things that I need over the things that I want. Although of course, there are still times that I give in to buying some luxurious things, but only as long as I can afford it. I don't go beyond the boundaries that I have set in spending for my wants. However, there are tendencies sometimes to go a little over the budget when it comes to buying the necessities because of higher inflation rate. As long as the things that I'm buying are needed in order to survive, I don't worry spending a few more bucks.
