2781  Economy / Economics / Re: Long term argument for bitcoin on: July 05, 2018, 11:28:56 AM
Let's say that they are the same that the only difference is Bitcoin being the first one.

The fact is that Bitcoin is more popular, accepted, and has built a nice reputation to the people. Also it has a bright future that is people see the price to surge up to multiple fold in the future that's why they prefer Bitcoin. Also it has been adopted and considered as the main and major cryptocurrency that is with countries who accepted Cryptocurrencies it is more mainly about they accepted Bitcoin. These countries who have announced their acceptance with Bitcoin as a medium for transactions, it added up to the trust of people that it would be more great in the future hence they prefer to invest on it.

Why would you invest in a coin which you are not confident about? People are confident in Bitcoin than any other coins out there.

I guess, it's always the best to be the leading coin as Bitcoin is the pioneer cryptocurrency in the market. The fact that it made the market popular seemingly singlehandedly proved that it is one of the better and more reliable coins around. Having that trustworthy characteristic, people tend to gravitate on using it, which in turn, helps it gain more transactions and acceptability all around the market. That's why many businesses, even if not versed with cryptocurrencies, know Bitcoin at least.
2782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in Ethereum on: June 22, 2018, 11:58:07 PM
Hello.

do you think it's a good time to invest in Ethereum?

Although, in general, I would say that Ethereum is a good coin to invest into. Saying that it's a "good" time to invest can't be said that lightly because there are so many different factors that may affect before one consider that it is actually the best time to invest. I say that because this market is different and how it gains and losses value would naturally be different with how other similar markets, like the stock market, would actually move and unfold. Therefore, instead of just looking at the coin, it's better to consider its value, its rise and fall, and how you can return your profit in the fastest possible time.
2783  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government really scary? on: June 22, 2018, 11:45:35 PM
Many people say the government is not interested in cryptocurrency. Many people think the government has prohibit
crypto to protect investors from risks. Maybe in your country, that's true. But in some countries, especially developing countries, the government just wants to rob your assets. They rob publicly, lawfully and as much as possible. they are really bandits.I'm not afraid what they do. Because we have many ways to fight them. But this world is not as simple as you think. They can kill you if you are demonstrating.
You can ask any vietnamese that : Do you support your government ? I bet 99% answer is never. 1% remaining I'm sure they are goverment employee or their family. Wink

In the field and language of cryptocurrency, I would say that yes, a government is really and truly scary. I say that because it has the sole capacity and power to declare anything related to cryptocurrency as illegal and ban it in the circulation, and that could and would surely affect how the market will push through, and also, it will have a big impact on neighboring countries, especially if such move would be done and prompted by a super power like USA or China. If you would remember, the market harshly fell when China banned cryptocurrency activities from other countries expect those originating from it. That shows you that a government has a big impact on any sector, especially in business.
2784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will get legitimacy in all countries? on: June 22, 2018, 11:35:06 PM
Many countries think that Bitcoin is harmful for their country. They think that Bitcoin will create inflation in their country. But is that right? Will Bitcoin never get all the legitimacy?

That's the goal, and also, I think that, currently, there is a big possibility and chance for that to happen because many countries, governments and business entities alike are already accepting the legitimacy and good possibilities that cryptocurrencies and the cryptocurrency market holds. As more and more trustworthy and big organizations and persons of power help in its continued rise, it would really be the key for the cryptocurrency market to reach greater heights and continue its rise. It's just a matter of time hopefully when its acceptance would be more solidified that would help the market become more stable and reliable.
2785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Time to Sell Altcoins on: June 22, 2018, 11:26:05 PM
Hy guys. Most of the time I use to trade with altcoins and I use to sell altcoins when they are above ICO price and giving some profit. I do not hold atlcoins for long time. What if you have some altcoins, what will be your strategy to use that coins? Is there any specific best time for every altcoin and when it is going well and we should sell ??

Well, since you didn't qualify, the simple answer here is when it is actually at its peak. The best possible value you can get for the coin once sold would be the most desirable time to sell it. It may take varying time periods like a matter of weeks or months, or even years. But, what's important here is the profit margin you want to gain from your investment. You also have to be realistic too that there might be conditions when you have to lessen your desired amount, especially when the coin you have is not doing that good.
2786  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the future of virtual currency like bitcoin ? on: June 22, 2018, 11:10:08 PM
As a digital payment system virtual currency has its own reputation. Bitcoin raised as strong virtual currency in 2010. Today’s global currency is developed in different way and comparing with others currency bitcoin is like more valuable than gold. Good reflection and better control system can make more valuable in economic sector. now by the help of bitcoin selling and buying system is easier than other transection. At age of technology we can collect or hire so many proficient worker for the purpose of different sector’s development and then we can provide their salary through bitcoins because of its popularity.
On above this conversation we don’t need to worry about future of  virtual currency or bitcoins.

I think that it has a bright future ahead of it. I say that because as the world is moving to the technological and modern era, where everything and anything relies heavily on the internet and technology, currencies like Bitcoin would be a perfect fit in the change that the world is moving onto. As paperless and cardless transactions are beginning to boom, the fact that cryptocurrencies has made its mark and found its niche in the market is a good indicator that it can fight its way through the competitive world of currencies.
2787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency on: June 22, 2018, 11:02:11 PM
Bitcoin was supposed to be used as a currency, not only a form of investment. However, it's been more successful as a form of investment, a "speculative asset".

Do you guys think that this can change in the long term ?

I would not say that it is a failed currency because it's just a newbie compared to those seasoned and long-time used currencies. It may have been present for about a decade, but it still has a lot to experience before it can be a stable and so-to-speak reliable currency. Although it is still in a stage where it has so many movements and trends to amass before it can actually start to become stable, I would say that it is far off to conclude just yet that it is a failure because there are so many more things that can happen to it.
2788  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your recommended crypto allocation? on: June 22, 2018, 10:54:59 PM
Hi all,
the recent bloodbath pushed me to start investing in the crypto market. My current position is approx. 33% BTC/ETH/EOS. What would be your recommendation for a balanced crypto portfolio for the next 6-12 months?
Thanks!

There are so many combinations you can actually invest in in this market. That is why many people really have a hard time determining which coins or tokens to invest it, because actually, the sky is the limit here. However, one must consider which coin would actually bring forth good movement and command good support from the community. Usually, those coins that have better chances are born out of projects that hold a new concept, if not, show a big improvement from their predecessors.
2789  Economy / Economics / Re: When the government forbids cryptocurrency on: June 22, 2018, 10:29:09 PM
When the government forbids cryptocurrency

In my country, the government is gradually apply internet and cryptocurrency control decrees. Previously, they banned direct Bitcoin transactions. Currently, they are banning crypto-related bank transfers. And of course, ICOS is also gradually banned .
Initially, they said they would not ban crypto and bitcoin. But now their actions show that they do not want crypto to exist.
Is their purpose not to secure crypto investors? They are trying to make it their own
They see huge profits being lost for themselves
And when the internet management program took place in my country, maybe I could not come up here to share my views like this. So sad

Although it's more common now that governments are beginning to accept that Bitcoin, and other cryptocurrency-related activities, are in fact legit and a true market. If in the event that a government would ban any related activities, especially, let's say a big player like the United States, Korea or Japan, then it would really be a big blow to the market because that's where most transactions and developers came from, and so, it would affect heavily how the cryptocurrency market would move forward.
2790  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you want to be successful in trading.. on: June 22, 2018, 10:10:00 PM
I have seen a tip from somewhere that in order for you to be become successful always in your trading, you have to to a sniper rather than a machine gunner.. If you trade always see all opportunity, every indicator, every momentum, etc. before starting to trade. Don't be hasty to trade every signal day. You just have to find that one trade that can bring you good profits and not painful losses.

Well, that can be easier said than done, but then again, any strategy or technique is always something to consider, especially in this market. Sometimes, the orthodox ways are not applicable anymore because this is a new and unpredictable market, which means that, not all techniques which applies to other market systems similar to this one, can't be as applicable to this new market. Also, I think the main key in the above-stated suggestion is the patience aspect of trading, and I totally agree with that.
2791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When the World Cup ends, will ETH and BTC rise? on: June 22, 2018, 09:59:34 PM
I think so. During the World Cup, some bookmakers made huge profits. Of course, they will make money seem legal by laundering money. Virtual currency is a good choice. Of course, this practice violates certain laws, but it will not stop their desire for benefits. A large number of BTC and ETH transactions will follow, and prices seem to rise accordingly.
This is my personal thought. This may be naive and perhaps sensitive. Welcome to discuss.

It can have effect. If you remember last time in the Winter Olympics, there are some countries that pay their athletes cryptocurrencies as part reward for their winning, if they win any medals in their respective events, therefore, it would not be a new idea if more countries would do the same after the World Cup, because surely, some footballers, considering how rich they are and having some money to burn, have already invested in cryptocurrency-related businesses.
2792  Economy / Speculation / Re: Curiosity of bitcoin prices in the future on: June 22, 2018, 09:49:07 PM
Will bitcoin prices rise beyond 20k in the future, and whether bitcoin will only stabilize at a price of 8k - 10k and it will be difficult to exceed that price.

Anything is possible; as much as right now, the glimmer of hope is not that bright because of the many negative changes and trends affecting and happening in the market. I think that there will be a time when more and more people would see it legitimacy and pledge their support on it that would transcend to more transactions that will be the key for more people to embrace the market even more. Right now, as more people are beginning to see the good things that may come in the future, hopefully that would be the need push that bitcoins need to go above and develop.
2793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whether the new coin can survive? on: June 22, 2018, 09:19:10 PM
now a lot of new coins that appear, the price of its kind, there are cheap, and there are expensive, my question, whether this new coin will last long?

It can, I think that every coin has a chance, whether it's new or old, seasoned or not; however, it depends on how the community will support it, and how people would actually use it that would transcend into transactions that would help the coin reach higher values and break through the market. However, it's difficult to actually do that at the moment because of the fact that there are so many coins that are coming out because each and every developers wants to ride the wave of the cryptocurrency market.
2794  Economy / Economics / Re: Can human stupidity affect the movement of the market? on: June 22, 2018, 09:09:23 PM
Hello, community. Political, economic and social news in the media significantly affect the life and behavior of the crowd. How can crypto news affect the movement of the market?

Well, I am not entirely sure how it can affect the movement of the market. But, in the cryptocurrency market where are lot of things may happen and a lot of different factors affect the value of the coins, and also, the market itself. Then, everything may have their contribution to affect the market somehow, even stupidity itself. However, I don't think, especially now, that it would have such a big impact because many people, even the beginners already have useful knowledge to help them avoid doing such stupid moves.
2795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to have many altcoins or it is enough to have few? on: June 22, 2018, 08:59:32 PM
I know that there are many kinds of alternative coins existing today, but is it better to have that many coins instead of having just a few? What are the benefits and harm in having that many alternative coins?

In this market, diversity is always key. I say that because there are many trends that each and every coin follows in the market. Therefore, if you would only hold a few coins, then it would be hard for you to follow through different leads that would, in turn, help gain more profit in the end. The fact is, although many coins go down at once, their rates and movements differ, so if you have more coins to trade or to sell out, then it would mean that you can have a chance to at least gain some profit even if some of your assets are not doing good.
2796  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it a good time to start buying bitcoins? on: June 11, 2018, 09:50:25 PM
Im a newbie both in this forum and the cryptocurrency subject, so I had been reading a lot and studying in the last couple weeks. But I still have some doubts. I always see people saying that there is a bubble in the bitcoin market and that there are many people who own big ammounts of bitcoins and can manipulate the market, so i dont know if now its a good time for a person who doesnt own any bitcoins yet to start buying then (i planned to hold them for a long time, not trading beetwenn exchanges) or if i should wait more. I also see fear about corrections and dont know well how those work and if they have an specific time to happen. Anyway, sorry for my bad english and thank you for the replies, even though I know im te only one responsable for my money.

That depends on your goal mate. If you are gunning for an investment, then it may be a good time, especially many coins are either at a low point, ripe enough to be bought, or in a phase where it is beginning to rise up in value. From the saying, the good thing about being down is that there is no way but up. That's what's happening to most coins these days, even though they may show dumps for the most parts, they still has the fight to keep on climbing back. If you feel that you have enough capital to go for an investment, and the value is just right, then go for it!
2797  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Amazon Integrate Bitcoin? on: June 11, 2018, 09:30:20 PM

Quote

Amazon is the largest e-commerce marketplace globally, and within a span of few years, it has quadrupled its market cap to $532 billion. It processes an unprecedented amount of orders and hence, the integration of payment technology or digital currency would require a prudent testing process and cautious implementation.

At this point, the demand for bitcoin is evidently increasing at an exponential rate, as the price of bitcoin recently surpassed the $7,000 mark for the first time in history. But, the scalability issues of bitcoin cannot be dismissed, since the size of the bitcoin mempool has increased back up to 50 million and the block size has remained above 1.04 MB in the past few days.

Currently, some of the most widely utilized bitcoin wallet platforms such as Blockchain and Coinbase are recommending transaction fees above $1. With SegWit-enabled wallets, the fees would likely be below $0.7, since as hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger stated, SegWit provides at least 35 percent reduction in transaction fees.

But, Amazon cannot expect general consumers or beginner bitcoin users to use SegWit-enabled wallet and enjoy lower fees, and in the short-term, the company may receive complaints in regards to high fees.

Read more here...

The recent buzz on the possibility that soon Amazon can be adopting Bitcoin as one of their medium of exchange or transactions is sending excitement all over. This can be a holy grail we are all waiting for. However, there are those who seriously look into the matter and concluded that there are still some big hurdles that have to be ironed out before Amazon would really start working for this dreamed adoption.

I am sure that all of us here are already familiar with that one big hindrance and we are also complaining about this since time immemorial. We keep on hoping that soon this thing can be given the right solution as paying a high transfer rate is actually not what Bitcoin is made for. Maybe Amazon is really just waiting for the right time to come and take Bitcoin but for now they must have concluded to temporary shelve the whole idea for reasons we already know.

If the news holds water, then I would say that it is good news. It's never bad actually when a big and established company recognizes a new and up-coming asset like cryptocurrencies; this is actually what most of us and true cryptocurrency believers and supporters are waiting for. That more and more popular and established business entities would soon favor and adopt the use of cryptocurrencies in their businesses because it somehow legitimizes cryptocurrency, and in a way, purges the negative notions that big businesses don't want to deal with it.
2798  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is worth buying coins under $1? on: June 11, 2018, 09:10:11 PM
What's your opinion on buying new emerging coins that are not yet on top and cost less than 1 dollar?
How do you decide whether they have potential to grow or not?

I would say yes, especially if you are a beginner in terms of trading or investment and does not have much money to actually use as capital. It's never wrong to start in something small, especially as a stepping stone, and so, to know that there are a dollar worth coins or even less that still has good market cap and can be moved rather quickly, that's comforting for newbie investors because it gives them a ground to stand on as compared to seasoned investors that are more focused on high-valued coins.
2799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin or litecoin ? on: June 11, 2018, 09:00:36 PM
If we compare bitcoin and litecoin, they are very far from each other in terms of quality and value, although they are all parts of cryptocurrency but different in life crypto status.

I agree. I think these two coins are not in the same league to be compared. Although they have their own positive characteristics, Bitcoin surely outweighs and outguns Litecoin in so many crucial areas that it's almost too unfair to compare these two coins. For starters, the value and marketability of Bitcoin has more potential, although what goes for Litecoin is the fact that its value is not to high for people to buy and invest in it, people tend to still gravitate on Bitcoin because it can give them more profit in the end.
2800  Economy / Economics / Re: Beside Cryptocurrenices where would you invest? on: June 11, 2018, 08:40:16 PM
A lot of people now days jumping and investing in the cryptocurrency industry.
If you are not investing in crypto, where do you else invest?
Property ? normal crowdfunding? give your input

Real estate is always a good choice, secondary though to stock market. The stock market has been on the rise recently, since it has adopted small investment and has accepted private people who doesn't have much to investment to spare in the loop in terms of investing in the stock market. Here in my country, you can start your stock market investment for as low as equivalent to 100 dollars, but then, you have to actually study how the market words  yourself to keep your investment afloat.
