That's some big margin win and statement from UConn, a 39 points difference, I'm not sure Houston can match that point difference in the first match tonight, but perhaps the 2nd game would give them a better opportunity to close that margin or surpass it better still. I wouldn't like to go down by the first point advantage to slackovic, it's tougher to expect a win when you lose the first advantage in 3 question differences fixture  Sad

Israel always my football darkhorse in that Mediterranean region, but lately have been horrible both club and country. Got a draw on this one, but now ahead 3-1, so I'm feeling real good. Lots of 3/3 so far this round. So I know getting no losses yet doesn't mean a thing about my prowess. Even needed USA to score late, late on to get my point. So far useful to pick the favourites, not not as a dominant force. Such fine margins, really, though, I think leea will feel robbed.

3 of 3, someone is having a great round, 3 was your total score for the 1st round and 2 for 2nd round, so with 3/3 here, are you going for the BSFL record and smash it with a 10/10 ?

-----------------------------------

UConn is up in the next couple of hours, and so officially does my match against slackovic too, while for the F1 question if the practice results are anything to go by, then I'd be glad because I'm taking that point.

I got some picks for the upcoming games but not so sure if my win rate will improve, but I'm still trying and at the same time trying to stay discipline.

Miami -3
Ingram is out and Miami needs a win. Miami has 2 straight losses at home, they need to prevent that streak and win this game.

Lakers -7.5
Play-in spot is very important, and Davis might return, so they should win this game, hopefully by double digit.

Warriors -5..
Same situation with the Lakers, a win here is necessary.

I like the match ups you've listed above, especially Miami Heat vs Pelicans, I'd have love to just go money line on this one, but the line at -3 is low and very reasonable.

I'll taking the Over on total points too, it's currently at 209 for 1.80, combine with Over 206 points in Cavaliers vs Minnesota Timberwolves for 1.80, together for a double bet @ 3.24 Odds

Alright Partizan is officially out of the race already because of the recent loss

Nope, not really - they are actually in a decent position.
Valencia is currently in 10th position on equal points with 1 game less, and +1 point GD compared to Partizan - meaning if they lose, they will switch places and Partizan will go to 10th place.

Valencia is playing Monaco away from home and it's expected they will lose the game.

I'd say EA/ has the best chance - they have to win against Fenerbahce at home. If they lose, I think Partizan will be 10th.

I guess that's down to the fact there aren't many options for games, and most of us just had to follow the odds provided by the Sportsbook, I think there would have been decent questions if you had looked at some tennis as Miami Open is currently on, but it's never easy to scout all sports especially during the international break.

For the Basketball, I actually went with Bayern Munich, losing to Valencia was the deal breaker, they had quite a come back in the 3rd quarter to bring the game to within 1 point, but they couldn't complete the turnaround.

Mexico with a convincing 3-0 win over Panama, but it wouldn’t matter anyways because the question says both teams to win in regular time, and USA couldn’t come up with a win in 90 minutes of regular time.

mv1986, it looks like we have different answers on only 2 questions. It is absolutely going to be a challenging round. I hope that the surprise I expect in CONCACAF comes true.  Roll Eyes

The USA has 83% ball possession and conceded a goal against Jamaica in the first minute of the game. I am not really sure what to think about this, but the fact of the matter that currently you got the point for this question. Now will Jamaica be able to bring the lead home with just 17% ball possession? Obviously, I hope they don't, but I see the worst case coming for me. Passing accuracy for Jamaica is 52%, if USA can't turn this one around, then what is it that they can turn around? Cheesy

USA conceded a goal in the first minute of the game, and needed an own goal in the last minute of the game to it into extra time, now they have gotten themselves a 3-1 lead, but that’s during the extra, I can’t remember if the question carries extra-time inclusiveness, I’d have to check and if it does, well, we then can say that USA have done half of the job already.

ulven who leads 2 div gets a severe punishment since he didn't send the answers in time.
First time in my BSFL life IIRC, getting free points. Now the funny thing is if I win the round anyway on my own effort. Still, freebet to look forward to, but I can rest easy this whole week Smiley

Even you beat me to it, I’ve been in the BSFL for 4 seasons, and I’m still yet to get a free pass, come on folks what’s my offense here, I need these freebies too Cheesy

I guess that’s the price for being consistent huh, because I’ve also never failed to submit early in the entire time either.

Considering casperBGD is forfeiting his place, this means last place is known...does the prize go back to the pot or will be sent to the user ??

And what happens with the playoffs for this position, walkovers ?? And this affects Division 2 fixtures for the following season...

Perhaps let him sell his place to avoid what's to come as this triggers so many changes ATM Roll Eyes

It's quite a tough one to see him so leave, he's one of core guys from the get go, from the very first season in division, what happens next has been explained by the organizers and just so you know it wouldn't affect anyone from Division 2, it was considered that he's lost all his fixtures and relegated as such, so there are just two more relegation positions in division 1 to battle out, and it will go on as usual with no disruption for the league.

The game isn't just gonna be the same without him, I hope he'll drop by sometime soon, and I wish him all the best.

The over ticket I had for the Magic game yesterday somehow landed as a winner with the total ending on exactly 204 points. I had low expectations after their slow first quarter until they decided to speed things up, dropping 50+ points in the next quarter.

I'm aiming for three in a row with this next bet (under 233.5) on the Kings vs. Raptors. I see the Raptors barely hitting a hundred on their recent losses and the Kings can always slow down if they can start to pull away in the first half.

The Heat vs Cavaliers was play and catch up game like I anticipated, I expected the Heat to be the team playing most of the catch up but it was the Cavaliers that did for most of the game, they left quite late into the 4th Quarter before making my bet a win but that was due to the Cavaliers taking the lead and the Heat had to figure something out, but thanks to an home coming hero in Terry Rozier great statement in the last one minute plus change.

Your Sacramento Kings - Raptors Under was also an easy win for you, the Raptor could hardly keep up the pace against the Kings.
291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 20, 2024, 10:47:14 PM
8 games later. Nice. Here are my picks.
Cleveland Cavaliers - Miami Heat - Cleveland Cavaliers (-2.5) - So many injured players on both teams, I guess I'll just take the home team and trust LeVert and Garland to step up their game.
Detroit Pistons - Indiana Pacers - Indiana Pacers (-7.5) - This should be easy.
Toronto Raptors - Sacramento Kings - Sacramento Kings (-9.5) - The Kings need this win to stay in the 6th spot. Might as well blow them out to have a good rest because they will be playing back-to-back road games.
Boston Celtics - Milwaukee Bucks - Milwaukee Bucks (12.5) - Yeah, I'll take that. Giannis is questionable but this is still a decent team.
Portland Trail Blazers - Los Angeles Clippers - Los Angeles Clippers (-10.5)

It's hard to pick. The upper ranks are battling the underdogs. Most lines are -10 upward.
Anyway, good luck to everyone, I might just try during live games for the remaining ones.

I like a couple of these match ups, I'll be going with the total points spread instead of ML or Handicap

Miami Heat and Cavs being the match with lowest Over 206.5 line @ 1.87 is the most appealing to me, the Cavs are still without Donovan Mitchell but that's hasn't rendered a their offensive awful, so I'll expect them to give the Heat a run for their money, the Heat are without a couple their best defensive players in Bam Adebayo and Kevin Love, so I think the Cavs should have better scoring efficiency and the Heat forcing a keep up momentum.

I understand how rounds likes can be meaning there is always a low margin of error allowed, but my usual personal interpretation of having a whole lot similar answers with an opponent is that we're either both shit or geniuses, so regardless which it turns out to be, I'm not alone and I only like round like this when I feel a bit confident about my decision in differences, just like in this case, I believe I have a better chance in the FRA - GER question, I'm also quite confident with my choices for the F1 (being H2H makes me more confident about it), the NCAA question is the only one I'd say even my optimistic state is one that I'd probably lose, so I can fancy my chances of a win (draw, at worse) Grin

Yeah, and my problem is that those answers that we have different are also pretty hard to research. I have no idea about NCAA so I just guessed that answer. I tried researching but just like someone already posted, it's impossible to find schedule for it. Fra - Ger is a friendly game so again it's hard to predict anything. And with the F1 question I just checked how drivers finished in the first two races. All in all, I don't like my chances but we will see. It's sport - anything is possible Grin

Yes, nothing is guaranteed of course, not until the end.

France vs Germany of course is friendly, precisely the reason for my decision simply because it's National team friendly and I'm not expecting a high scoring game.

NCAA fixture about the teams in question is not that hard to find, if you know where to look, the main problem is regardless of who the favorite is, just like a NBA all that matters to some side is to get a win and then NCAA is a more volatile sphere than the NBA.

I can't believe that in this round again I have only three different answers than my opponent. Harkorede, if I counted correctly, the only different answers are the France-Germany question, NCAA question and the F1 question. I hate situations like this because there's hardly anything to comment.

^^ Great bet on this one. It's halftime and the score is 65-56. Wolves vs Nuggets is a great game, Over 215.5 for me at 1.80 odds. This could be a high scoring game for me. Although there could be defense playing played specially against ANT as he was on fire in last couple of games. But I doubt that they will or can stop ANT. Just enjoying the first quarter now, Jokic as well have scored some points this early. Usually he starts slow and wanted to involved his team first. So good luck to everyone.

Thanks mate, but then It does feel like a lucky hit, going by the tempo of the game in the 2nd half.

—————————————

A 63-points high scoring 1st Quarter has put the Nuggets-Wolves game on the right path to get your win as well, good luck the rest of the way Wink

Not much in the way of risk today but I didn't like the Minnesota matchup with the Nuggets or the Rockets and the Wizards.  I felt like either of those games could go either way.  A huge longshot might be betting the Wizards and Timberwolves to win, but for whatever reason I wanted to try and get a win instead of playing the odds today.  Good luck!

San Antonio Spurs - Dallas Mavericks
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Dallas Mavericks

Dallas Mavs looks like one of the solid teams available for today, and Doncic is available for this I’m banking of the Mavericks to take care of business early enough.

I’ve got;

Dallas Mavs -4.5 1st Half @ 1.85

You just poked the bear in me, I'd say and that makes me wanna win the round before Friday, because I'm about to do some more damage to your level of confidence  Cheesy

Interesting... Care to put on a small sidebet that you won't win before Friday? Answers are still hidden so there is still time to arrange this. I'm offering you a 1 mBTC sidebet. If you win before Friday, you also win the sidebet. If you don't win before Friday (if it's a draw or I'm better on Friday), I win.

The only way anyone from the Entire BSFL would win their tie before Friday, is if the other party fails to submit, If I’m not mistaken, so if can you include a clause, that you’d not submit answers or your answers if you’ve submitted already should be invalid then maybe I’ll reconsider to take the sidebet 😜😜

That's ballsy to go for the alternate handicap and Anunoby is out for the Knicks. The under is tempting to grab when they've been slowing down and keeping the scores below 200 points, but i'm trusting my gut on GSW to force the pace and hit the over 210.

I couldn’t help but agree that this look an easy Over ball game, going by the lineup and roster, while Knicks are one of the worse teams to follow on this route, I also think the game will be heavily influenced by how the Golden State Warriors choose to approach this, a good offensive execution might and if the stChef could get cooking early enough the Over could be a certain one by halftime.

Well, shit! That's all I have to say about this image Grin
I have to get my shit together and start winning or I will end up like slaman29. Fighting not to be relegated until the end of the season and then continue my fight in division 2. But OK, it's still way early in the season so nothing is lost yet. Harkorede, watch out! You will be my first victim of this season Smiley
