Maybe that's understandable but when discussing Davies now indirectly it will definitely be connected to the current transfer in the end because we must be aware of being in the transfer thread with the discussion of player transfers coinciding with the currently open transfer window it is very related to each other: D But indeed for the Davies problem it will not happen because after all now Ancelotti already knows that the statement he gave earlier by not bringing the defender is definitely accounted for but it is possible that if it is for next season's transfer then it looks like this still applies to Davies because after all if his performance does not decline at Bayern then surely Madrid will continue to pursue this player because it is one of the characteristics of Madrid when wanting a player to be at the Bernabeu.

No, when we are discussing any transfers it has nothing to do with the calendar date. Absolutely nothing. I have no idea why you think we can't talk about Mbappe and a potential transfer because you think it doesn't happen in winter, for instance. Of course any potential transfer is interesting and relevant and it makes indeed a lot of sense to talk about these transfers and why or why not they can or won't happen in this ongoing transfer period.

As I said, Bayern Munich would never let Davies go right now unless Real Madrid would make an offer that exceeds Bayern Munich's expectation so far that they can't say no. But they will at all cost make sure that their squad is sufficiently competitive for all the big games that are around the corner.
282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 17, 2024, 04:31:33 PM
But if Real Madrid would be successful in signing Davies, it would be an unbelievable left side for Real Madrid. Just combine the pace of Vinicius Junior and Davies. That would probably be the fastest duo in football. I assume that this is the idea, to add some extra pace to the left side although they are good already. But Davies is well positioned with his contract ending in 2025. It would be the only possibility for Bayern Munich to make some money if they decide to transfer him to Real Madrid. And Davies knows that Bayern Munich would have to raise his salary or else he would let his contract expire and leave the club in 2025.
That might be an option in Ancelotti future plans and it could also be one of the reasons why Madrid have wanted Davies even from previous seasons.
But with that its likely that one of the player will definitely leave if in the end Davies can really be obtained although for now i cannot be sure whether Madrid will intend to bring him in this transfer window or not because of Ancelotti statement that he will not bring a single player for the defense in January this time because Ancelotti is still quite confident with some of their players who can anticipate the defense well even though there are some of their defensive centers injured.

I wasn't really talking about the January transfer window as that is highly unlikely that Bayern Munich would sell a player while looking forward to the Champions League games against the best teams in the world. No top club would sell a player like Davies in a winter transfer window when they are still competing for Europe's most important trophy.

But Ancelotti is planning ahead and that is why he extended his contract. He would love to sign Davies and Mbappe on top of that. This would be an ultra high speed team with Vinicius Junior, Davies and Mbappe. My lord this would be insane for any opponent to defend against.
283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 17, 2024, 02:01:24 PM
This season Barcelona lost in all aspects to its rivals, the crushing defeat to Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup showed how weak Barcelona's defense was, the sharpness of the front line was also not as sharp as last season. Barcelona must learn valuable lessons from the humiliating defeat they just experienced in the Super Cup final, now they need to maintain their performance in the UCL, La Liga and Copa Del Rey.

I still hope that Xavi can bring changes to improve performance to win one of the trophies that are still possible to win. This season has not gone perfectly for Barcelona, there are still many changes that Xavi needs to make in order to bring Barcelona back into the race for the La Liga title.

If we objectively evaluate the team's condition, then I would not be so optimistic that Barcelona can claim at least one trophy. I very much doubt that Real will allow them to reduce the 7-point gap in the remaining rounds, and as for the Champions League, they simply will not be able to compete with teams like Real, City and Bayern, by the way, the last game with Real showed this well.

And it’s hard to say what’s wrong with the team, Xavi has a very strong squad that could fight on equal terms, but for some reason, their defense became worse, and the attack did not become stronger, the loss of Dembele most likely affected this.

I definitely agree. Usually I would say that there are so many games left to be played in La Liga, but no, Barcelona won't have a chance to close that gap and even come out on top by the end of the season in La Liga.

In the Champions League I would be blown away if they made it into the final. I can look at it from many perspectives, but in the quarterfinals and semifinals they will meet at least one team that will eliminate them.

Then there is Copa del Rey and only Real Madrid will decide who is going to win that title. If Real Madrid gets knocked out unexpectedly, then maybe Barcelona has a chance. But I don't think Real Madrid will lose focus and get knocked out before the final.

Juventus defeated Sassuollo very confidently. Already in the first half they were leading with a comfortable lead. Thanks to this success Juve scored 49 points and they are only two points behind the Serie A leaders. The Turin team may well become the champions of Italy. Now Inter cannot make any mistakes, otherwise Juventus can take advantage of this and seize the lead in the championship.

This was finally a strong and convincing performance and win for Juventus Turin. I still think they should raise their dominance in regards to ball possession and should not allow too many chances for their opponents, but still the efficiency was high and they essentially ended the game in the first half. Vlahovic scored twice, which doesn't happen very often. He is one of the overpriced strikers in Europe as many people think he is a great player. But he is actually quite average. 9 goals scored is still far from being a top striker. It is acceptable though.

Yesterday West Ham lost in the FA cup against a team playing in a much lower division than the Premier League and that for me was a really big surprise result.A team from the Premier League who happen to have won not long ago the Europa Conference League to lose to a team playing in a lower division. That shows that West Ham is truly in a volatile performance in the Premier League.
I thought West Ham would recover in the second half, but Benrahma's red card turned the whole order upside down. Unfortunately, after this moment, nothing was achieved other than waiting helplessly against Bristol. They don't care much about the FA Cup, but it must still be sad for them to lose to a team in the lower league.
In that match, I think West Ham was careless at the start of the match. Maybe they initially underestimated Bristol City a little. So it is not surprising that Bristol City immediately scored a goal in the 3rd minute after the match started. I think it was quite a big surprise for West Ham. So West Ham was not optimal throughout the match.

But apart from that, West Ham's consistency is not that good this season. Sometimes they play well and can make things difficult even for strong teams in the EPL. But sometimes they slump and lose to weak teams. And yes, it could be said that West Ham's performance has fluctuated or fluctuated. But currently in the EPL West Ham is quite good. In fact, they are ranked 6th. And it is really surprising that they lost in the FA Cup to a team that was actually just ordinary in terms of performance and quality of play.

But that loss hurts West Ham United a lot for sure. The FA Cup is one of the two competitions where West Ham knows they have a realistic chance (even if it is a small chance) to win a title and to qualify for the UEFA competitions. They still have the Europa League now and I think they should not be underestimated, but the FA Cup is the fastest way to win a prestigious trophy and to secure a spot in the Europa League for the next year. In general I believe these cups and UEFA Competitions are awesome for the clubs that are no real underdogs, but no favorites either. Now they are out of this important competition against an inferior opponent.

The bad thing is that they had two chances to beat Bristol City, a team that is in 14th position in the Championship... If you can't win against them once in two games, you don't deserve to advance to the next round.

...

They played against the Tottenham Hotspurs, Manchester City and Aston Villa and I guess they didn't really expect to get away with a lot of points here. But the draw against Aston Villa was still valuable for them. However, there are now a couple of games which is again against Tottenham and Manchester City in the next three weeks, but afterwards the quality of their opponents will be a bit lower. But as we just said here, no game is an easy game no matter who the opponent is. But I think they are still set up well enough to stay in the Premier League and not get relegated. But none of the team and the bottom of the table can be written off yet, except for Sheffield, which now slowly looks more hopeless than the other teams.
Looking at the schedule that Everton will face for the next few weeks, it looks like this will be a problem for them, because the opponents they will face can be said to be currently performing above Everton.

Big names like Manchester City, Tottenham and Manchester United (although Manchester United are currently still like clowns Cheesy) they could have lost points on the other hand, Brighton and West ham are also still suitable to be said as dark horses even though Brighton is not as violent as last season but they can still make a breakthrough in the end. Not to mention the internal problems that Everton will face at this time because we know for now they are again charged and may receive additional penalties after previously 10 points they have been deducted.
Everton's tough season still continues it seems for this season because indeed if last season their problems were only from performance but for now their problems are also currently increasing because they have to deal with the authorities in FFP issues.
[/quote]

Yes but I don't think it is definitely a disadvantage. If they can produce some good results and I count draws as good results in these games, it would get them into a promising position for all the last games where they are not playing against all these huge favorite teams. I would rather have the tough games now and the easier ones later than vice versa.

But they are now quite concerned that there might be a second penalty as I saw in the news. That would be so bad and an immeasurable disappointment.
287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 16, 2024, 07:41:20 PM
Inter Milan is very serious about their ambitions to win it all this season and in my opinion they are about the same level as Real Madrid and they are also playing a similar style. They don't always have the ball most of the time, but they are very good at using the time they have with the ball with impressive efficiency. No need to talk about Lautaro Martinez. He is in outstanding shape and he isn't very prone to injuries, which means I think he will continue to deliver like this. It will be a nice game between them and Atletico Madrid.

Of course Inter Milan did not want to miss this opportunity, especially at this time they did not have strong competitors so this is a good opportunity to win the scudetto, If we compare with last season they have strong competitors like Napoli and for next season there is no guarantee that Inter Milan can play better so this season is the right time for Inter Milan.

Juventus are indeed considered one of Inter Milan's competitors this season but so far there has been no more effort from Juventus, they are still playing normally as usual without great ambitions like Inter Milan.

Well what do you mean they have no strong competitors? I think they know that they must take Juventus Turin very seriously, but their own shape is putting them into a unique position. If we assume that they can maintain that level, it is evidently very close to impossible that no other team could be competing with them. If they keep up the ruthless way of collecting points, what can any team expect from them in Serie A?

I can only speculate, but I believe that Juventus Turin isn't very optimistic that Inter Milan will lose a significant number of points. This sets their plan straight. They either win all the games or they will hardly have a chance to win the Scudetto.

But now there is no Ronaldo and Messi anymore and what was the chance that the Clasico would still be as exciting? It was doomed to be less exciting when those two players were gone.

Barcelona can't get onto another, a higher level, but I consider the whole Barcelona team not strong enough. Gundogan is not the same in Barcelona. They have creative players, but they lack perseverance. Other teams understand that this Barcelona team has weaknesses. The times are over when their opponents thought that there is no chance to beat them.
Madrid big win made Barcelona realize that their quality now needs to be improved. Vinicius hat trick could be a big asset for Madrid to look at the Domestic League competition as increasingly promising. The first half belonged to Madrid, while in the second half Barcelona had control but could not make Madrid rear defense falter. What was very unfortunate was that Barcelona back line was very weak, especially Kounde made many blunders, instead of implementing the offside trap, Madrid managed to escape. Rodrygo and Vinicius are very free in Barcelona's defense.

I suspect that because of this defeat, Xavi is said to be in danger of being fired. Being able to score 1 goal for Barcelona is a bad achievement.

I think they got a wrong picture of themselves when they kind of masterfully won La Liga last year. But for me it was obvious that once Real Madrid solves a few of their problems, it would immediately become significantly harder for Barcelona to play for the title if they don't improve their squad on many positions. I think they did not improve their squad and lost valuable time to take their team to the next level. Gundogan was a cheap transfer since he was a free agent, but other than that not a lot has happened and it was really a waste of time in my eyes. Now they are stuck because they won't be able to change all the things they would have to change in order to be a tough opponent for Real Madrid again.

Next season I predict a similar picture as Real Madrid knows they can make the next big transfer decision as it is their plan anyway. They got Bellingham and instead of wasting money, they decided to get Joselu onborad. It worked out for them and now they can go again for another $150 million transfer. Mbappe or Haaland? We will soon find out.

That's the consequence if they don't obey the rules there was no way to avoid it if Everton had done it, Everton have narrowly avoided relegation after their struggles last month but unfortunately the problem is not over yet and clearly has an impact on the players' mentality, imagine if Everton deducted 10 points then they only have 7 points while this league only has 17 matches remaining meaning that Everton is definitely one of the candidates for relegation. Honestly, I think this is unfair and hope Everton can get past this however, I want to see Everton in the Premier League next season.
The impact that would occur if Everton received another points deduction was clearly very large, everyone involved in the club would experience psychological pressure, and the club would be threatened with relegation. However, according to news circulating, the Premier League decision is not yet final, and Everton is currently waiting for a final decision. There is an opportunity for Everton to appeal if they receive another points deduction. The same thing also happened to Nottingham Forest, they are also waiting for the same threat that Everton is currently facing.

This news has caused various reactions from fans who reject the sanctions that threaten their favorite club, and I think everyone will return to speculating about other Premier League clubs, namely Chelsea and Manchester City. Two clubs were also reported to indicated have violated FFP rules, but so far no sanctions have been imposed on them. Despite all that, I predict Everton and Nottingham Forest will still be punished, even though we hope they can stay in the Premier League next season.

Club Statement

Everton                 : https://www.evertonfc.com/news/3859000/club-statement

Nottingham Forest : https://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/news/2024/january/15/club-statement/

Something that I would be more interested in is how these violations by Everton relate to any violations that the bigger clubs like Manchester City are being accused of. So far there really has never been a big penalty for any of those financial superpowers in the Premier League, but when you think about it I am actually rolling my eyes because I don't understand how they can successfully circumvent any of these sanction?

They are now hammering these smaller clubs and cause them to get relegated due to points deduction, and while there is nothing wrong with enforcing the rules, it still remains unanswered how other clubs are getting away with their violations. Are those violations just less significant or wasn't it possible to prove them? Manchester City has been under investigation all the time, but nothing serious ever happened.

This is what makes the EPL so unpredictable because no matter what happens in 90 minutes, small or big clubs always have problems that sometimes cannot be explained because clubs in the EPL are quite competitive.

Furthermore, for Everton, it can actually be said that this season they are better than the previous season because if only this season they did not get 10 penalty points for violations at this time they were already in the middle of the table but because they got a reduction of 10 points this season made them more often near the relegation zone and 1 line higher than the bottom 3 clubs.

Although in the previous 3 matches they had problems because they had to lose in tough matches where Boxing Day was very torturous but in my opinion if they do the same thing as against Aston Villa yesterday they will still be very possible to continue to rise in terms of position in the standings.

But none of the team and the bottom of the table can be written off yet, except for Sheffield, which now slowly looks more hopeless than the other teams.

I think it was a good performance from Lens despite playing with 10 players after Jonathan Gradit received a red card. While one might have expected PSG to capitalize on the numerical advantage and secure a more significant lead, Lens demonstrated resilience and defensive strength. The fact that PSG needed a considerable amount of time and multiple attempts to score their second goal indicates that Lens played well defensively. They managed to withstand the pressure and limit PSG's goal-scoring opportunities.

Scoring the second goal near the end of the match shows Lens's ability to stay competitive until the final whistle. The outcome suggests that Lens didn't crumble under the pressure but instead put up a solid defensive performance that made it challenging for PSG to break through. It's a reminder that football outcomes aren't solely determined by numerical advantages but also by the resilience and skill of the teams involved.

You could say that Lens played well defensively, but you could also say that PSG didn't do very well offensively.

I saw that Kolo Muani didn't play, but as far as I know he isn't injured. PSG has had so many impressive names in their offense and yet they had their limits as soon as they played against well organized teams which were able to score goals themselves. Manchester City is such a team, Liverpool is and at the moment Real Madrid and Inter Milan are the same. They all have in common that attacks begin with their defensive game and defense begins with their offensive game.

I assume that Enrique wanted Dembele, but he is a player who never plays the maximum for extended periods during the season. He plays well, then he plays without efficiency and doesn't score for quite a while. Now they added Kolo Muani and Enrique can't enable him to perform his best. It's again all about Mbappe.

Yeah I think so too, moreover he has a contract in place for now and when it runs out he will most likely extend it. I can't imagine him in another team for now, he fits in perfectly with Manchester City, besides they have a very well played squad, I doubt Pep will want to make any major changes.

In my opinion this would be the surprise of the year 2024. I don't think it is impossible that we will see Haaland to go to Real Madrid, but I wonder how that is supposed to work out?

Guardiola has a contract until 2025 and if he had one choice for hist last year at Manchester City, I am sure that this would be to hold on to Haaland at least for the last season he will be spending with Manchester City.

This could be an important detail in all the negotiations not only with Haaland, but also with Mbappe. If he realizes that Haaland is on Real Madrid's list, Mbappe knows that he has to make a decision rather sooner than later. The door would be closing for him Real Madrid could sign Haaland as I doubt that they could afford to contract both players.

Fenerbahce is definitely keeping up the pressure for Galatasaray to win their game. I think if Galatasaray drops points, we may soon see Fenerbahce running away from the rest. Their second game will be at the end of the season pretty much. It's in May and if they stay close to each other that game could become an extremely exciting final for the title. But it is still a long way to go until then. Both teams are doing well. However, I like how Fenerbahce is doing so well with their attacking game. This is a little weakness for Galatasaray, but the results have still been ok for them.

Fenerbahçe made the point difference with Galatasaray 5 with more matches, but today Galatasaray wins and the point difference becomes 2 again.
Because Kayserispor has always been defeated in the last 4 matches.
They are having problems scoring goals. He sold a player like Thiam, who contributed directly to goals to the team, to Pendikspor.
Currently, Kayserispor has financial difficulties and this affects the team. If their bad performance continues, they will be in the relegation zone.
Galatasaray currently has a squad shortage, but I still think they can win easily.

I wouldn't care too much about the games from the past and how they ended. It is probably the worst indicator to develop an understanding of how the next games might or might not end. The odds had been clearly distributed for this game, but not because how they went last time. It is because Galatasaray is extremely strong at the moment. But you know, the golden goal to give them the three points was scored shortly before the game ended. History and odds aren't everything. Effort is required eventually, but good to see they won it and carry on to staying close to Fenerbahce.

Everton at home to Aston Villa. Both teams struggled to find goals throughout the game.Everton failed to dominate as the hosts.Aston villa were far from their recent form but still tried to dominate the game.Aston villa had more scoring chances than Everton but they couldn't score either. The game ended in a 0-0 goalless draw and I don't think this result was bad for Everton.
ManU hosted Tottenham at home.ManU started the match fast and managed to take the lead with Höjlund's goal in the 3rd minute, Richarlison scored in the first half and then Rashford scored again and managed to close the first half ahead. At the beginning of the second half, Bentancur's goal balanced the match and there was no more goals.

But it is astonishing how the teams from the bottom of the table give the teams from the upper part of the table a hard time to the games. They rarely have any games where they can make fun of teams like Luton Town because they still must be taken seriously. But games against Everton can be misleading because they would have 10 points more without the penalty they received. With those additional points it would actually make them a solid midfield team. But now Aston Villa had their problems, which makes it the third game without a win in the last few weeks.

Exactly when Messi and Ronaldo face each other, that's when the excitement arises for the El Clasico match. But now El Clasico is still quite interesting but not as interesting as before because in the current era we see from the Real Madrid camp which has Bellingham and the Barcelona camp which has Lewandowksi but these two players are not able to display a more exciting atmosphere like that presented by Messi and Ronaldo.

Barcelona this season is not as strong as last season, they experienced a decline in their performance which was quite low because there were many weak points in the team that their opponents were able to exploit. Apart from that, congratulations to Real Madrid who won the Spanish Super Cup and also to Vini, he performed extraordinary by scoring a hat trick in today match. Ancelotti will bring many trophies to Real Madrid because he has a squad that is strong enough to win the title.

My hope is that Real Madrid can bring in Mbappe in Summer and that Barcelona will finally get out of their financial distress and can build a great team again. For now the El Clasico isn't the same as it used to be. I watched every single one of those Clasicos when Messi was still playing for Barcelona. Now I am not that excited anymore except in some games when they face each other in Copa del Rey or something. But we have to be true to ourselves and this includes to acknowledge that we will probably not get to see a Ronaldo-Messi like competition again in La Liga. I remember this year when Messi scored 50 goals and I think Ronaldo had 46. How on earth would that happen again? Smiley It's spectacular when two strikers get close to 40 goals in the same season and are fighting for all the titles. But two strikers getting close to 50? Probably not in my lifetime again.

Real Madrid won too easily over Barcelona with a score of 4-1, even though Barcelona had to play with 10 players from the 71st minute after Ronald Araújo received a second yellow card, but Real Madrid's performance was quite impressive from the first minute. Vinicius Junior become the man of the match for Real Madrid in this El Clasico match, his first hat trick this season was against Barcelona and unbelievable how weakness with Barcelona defense conceded four goals on crucial match.

I am expected with el clasico will be interested match but too easy for Real Madrid defeat Barcelona and waiting tomorrow day what the funny meme will share by Real Madrid fans  Grin.

el clasico should not be like this. the match that pits real madrid against barcelona should be tight and interesting. if the match is like this, it's like real madrid again against the bottom team or against the 2nd division segunda division club in spain.

In terms of players, it seems that for left-backs until now it is enough because Fran Garcia and Mendy, even though their age is still young but they have quite a lot of experience, besides that there is also Camavinga who is ready to be positioned there if there are obstacles to this player, it's just that maybe in this case Madrid wants to make Davies a target because from the previous few seasons Mendy's rumors of leaving Madrid have always surfaced so they started trying to anticipate this.

As for the right-back, their two pillars, Vazques and Carvajal, are both 32 years old. Even though it is old age, they are still very capable of being there and instead of focusing on the 2 wing-backs I think it would be better for them to focus on the center-back. Even though until now their players are qualified there because they are filled with Rudiger, Militao and Alaba but when injury problems occur like what is happening now, it becomes a problem for them even though there are Nacho and Tchouameni who can still cover but in the end getting players who fit their position will be much better.

This is an annoying situation. Look, our phones don't just malfunctions out of the blues. There must have been signs that went ignored for a long time and now the gambler in the narration paid dearly for overlooking such a small issue that would have cost a little money to fix. This is an incidence that he will live to remember.
This case should be a reminder for gamblers not to use cellphones which are not suitable for gambling, don't consider this a small problem but believe me you will face big problems if you experience something similar in the future, I also want to remind you never gamble when your cellphone network connection unstable because it will impact the same conditions, so make sure your cellphone and network connection supports the online casino without any problems before you place a bet at the online casino.

I think it depends where you are, but if you are not dependent on some WIFI gambling with your phone can still be ok. But it's a question of how much is on the line. Gambling with your phone is probably never as smart as using a laptop or computer. I had some WIFI blackouts when I played some card games on my phone and then saw my hands get folded when actually I decided to play that round. But I did indeed stop gambling when there is no stable Internet. I guess that is one of the issues most here know something about and had their own experiences with.

Fenerbahçe played well and won tonight. They got 3 points with the goal of İrfan Can Kahveci. Some people say it was offside, but it was a clear goal.
Dzeko missed the penalty.
Dominik Livaković made a very critical save in the last minutes, if the goal had been scored they would have lost 2 points.
