I have no idea why you think we can't talk about Mbappe and a potential transfer because you think it doesn't happen in winter, for instance. Of course any potential transfer is interesting and relevant and it makes indeed a lot of sense to talk about these transfers and why or why not they can or won't happen in this ongoing transfer period.

I definitely agree. Usually I would say that there are so many games left to be played in La Liga, but no, Barcelona won't have a chance to close that gap and even come out on top by the end of the season in La Liga.

In the Champions League I would be blown away if they made it into the final. I can look at it from many perspectives, but in the quarterfinals and semifinals they will meet at least one team that will eliminate them.

Then there is Copa del Rey and only Real Madrid will decide who is going to win that title. If Real Madrid gets knocked out unexpectedly, then maybe Barcelona has a chance. But I don't think Real Madrid will lose focus and get knocked out before the final.

This was finally a strong and convincing performance and win for Juventus Turin. I still think they should raise their dominance in regards to ball possession and should not allow too many chances for their opponents, but still the efficiency was high and they essentially ended the game in the first half. Vlahovic scored twice, which doesn't happen very often. He is one of the overpriced strikers in Europe as many people think he is a great player. But he is actually quite average. 9 goals scored is still far from being a top striker. It is acceptable though.

But that loss hurts West Ham United a lot for sure. The FA Cup is one of the two competitions where West Ham knows they have a realistic chance (even if it is a small chance) to win a title and to qualify for the UEFA competitions. They still have the Europa League now and I think they should not be underestimated, but the FA Cup is the fastest way to win a prestigious trophy and to secure a spot in the Europa League for the next year. In general I believe these cups and UEFA Competitions are awesome for the clubs that are no real underdogs, but no favorites either. Now they are out of this important competition against an inferior opponent.

The bad thing is that they had two chances to beat Bristol City, a team that is in 14th position in the Championship... If you can't win against them once in two games, you don't deserve to advance to the next round.

Looking at the schedule that Everton will face for the next few weeks, it looks like this will be a problem for them, because the opponents they will face can be said to be currently performing above Everton.



Big names like Manchester City, Tottenham and Manchester United (although Manchester United are currently still like clowns ) they could have lost points on the other hand, Brighton and West ham are also still suitable to be said as dark horses even though Brighton is not as violent as last season but they can still make a breakthrough in the end. Yes but I don't think it is definitely a disadvantage. If they can produce some good results and I count draws as good results in these games, it would get them into a promising position for all the last games where they are not playing against all these huge favorite teams. I would rather have the tough games now and the easier ones later than vice versa.

Well what do you mean they have no strong competitors? I think they know that they must take Juventus Turin very seriously, but their own shape is putting them into a unique position. If we assume that they can maintain that level, it is evidently very close to impossible that no other team could be competing with them. If they keep up the ruthless way of collecting points, what can any team expect from them in Serie A?

I can only speculate, but I believe that Juventus Turin isn't very optimistic that Inter Milan will lose a significant number of points. This sets their plan straight. They either win all the games or they will hardly have a chance to win the Scudetto.

I think they got a wrong picture of themselves when they kind of masterfully won La Liga last year. But for me it was obvious that once Real Madrid solves a few of their problems, it would immediately become significantly harder for Barcelona to play for the title if they don't improve their squad on many positions. I think they did not improve their squad and lost valuable time to take their team to the next level. Gundogan was a cheap transfer since he was a free agent, but other than that not a lot has happened and it was really a waste of time in my eyes. Now they are stuck because they won't be able to change all the things they would have to change in order to be a tough opponent for Real Madrid again.

Next season I predict a similar picture as Real Madrid knows they can make the next big transfer decision as it is their plan anyway. Something that I would be more interested in is how these violations by Everton relate to any violations that the bigger clubs like Manchester City are being accused of. They are now hammering these smaller clubs and cause them to get relegated due to points deduction, and while there is nothing wrong with enforcing the rules, it still remains unanswered how other clubs are getting away with their violations. Are those violations just less significant or wasn't it possible to prove them? Manchester City has been under investigation all the time, but nothing serious ever happened.

They played against the Tottenham Hotspurs, Manchester City and Aston Villa and I guess they didn't really expect to get away with a lot of points here. But the draw against Aston Villa was still valuable for them. However, there are now a couple of games which is again against Tottenham and Manchester City in the next three weeks, but afterwards the quality of their opponents will be a bit lower. But as we just said here, no game is an easy game no matter who the opponent is. But I think they are still set up well enough to stay in the Premier League and not get relegated. But none of the team and the bottom of the table can be written off yet, except for Sheffield, which now slowly looks more hopeless than the other teams.

You could say that Lens played well defensively, but you could also say that PSG didn't do very well offensively.

I saw that Kolo Muani didn't play, but as far as I know he isn't injured. PSG has had so many impressive names in their offense and yet they had their limits as soon as they played against well organized teams which were able to score goals themselves. Manchester City is such a team, Liverpool is and at the moment Real Madrid and Inter Milan are the same. They all have in common that attacks begin with their defensive game and defense begins with their offensive game.

I assume that Enrique wanted Dembele, but he is a player who never plays the maximum for extended periods during the season. He plays well, then he plays without efficiency and doesn't score for quite a while. Now they added Kolo Muani and Enrique can't enable him to perform his best. It's again all about Mbappe.

In my opinion this would be the surprise of the year 2024. I don't think it is impossible that we will see Haaland to go to Real Madrid, but I wonder how that is supposed to work out?

Guardiola has a contract until 2025 and if he had one choice for hist last year at Manchester City, I am sure that this would be to hold on to Haaland at least for the last season he will be spending with Manchester City.

This could be an important detail in all the negotiations not only with Haaland, but also with Mbappe. If he realizes that Haaland is on Real Madrid's list, Mbappe knows that he has to make a decision rather sooner than later. The door would be closing for him Real Madrid could sign Haaland as I doubt that they could afford to contract both players.

I wouldn't care too much about the games from the past and how they ended. It is probably the worst indicator to develop an understanding of how the next games might or might not end. The odds had been clearly distributed for this game, but not because how they went last time. It is because Galatasaray is extremely strong at the moment. But you know, the golden goal to give them the three points was scored shortly before the game ended. History and odds aren't everything. Effort is required eventually, but good to see they won it and carry on to staying close to Fenerbahce.

But it is astonishing how the teams from the bottom of the table give the teams from the upper part of the table a hard time to the games. They rarely have any games where they can make fun of teams like Luton Town because they still must be taken seriously. But games against Everton can be misleading because they would have 10 points more without the penalty they received. With those additional points it would actually make them a solid midfield team. But now Aston Villa had their problems, which makes it the third game without a win in the last few weeks.

My hope is that Real Madrid can bring in Mbappe in Summer and that Barcelona will finally get out of their financial distress and can build a great team again. For now the El Clasico isn't the same as it used to be. I watched every single one of those Clasicos when Messi was still playing for Barcelona. Now I am not that excited anymore except in some games when they face each other in Copa del Rey or something. But we have to be true to ourselves and this includes to acknowledge that we will probably not get to see a Ronaldo-Messi like competition again in La Liga. I remember this year when Messi scored 50 goals and I think Ronaldo had 46. How on earth would that happen again? It's spectacular when two strikers get close to 40 goals in the same season and are fighting for all the titles. But two strikers getting close to 50? Probably not in my lifetime again.

But perhaps it is time to achkowledge that we had the amazing luxury to watch El Clasicos when it was still Ronaldo against Messi. But now there is no Ronaldo and Messi anymore and what was the chance that the Clasico would still be as exciting? It was doomed to be less exciting when those two players were gone.

Barcelona can't get onto another, a higher level, but I consider the whole Barcelona team not strong enough. Gundogan is not the same in Barcelona. They have creative players, but they lack perseverance. Other teams understand that this Barcelona team has weaknesses. The times are over when their opponents thought that there is no chance to beat them.

But if Real Madrid would be successful in signing Davies, it would be an unbelievable left side for Real Madrid. Just combine the pace of Vinicius Junior and Davies. That would probably be the fastest duo in football. I assume that this is the idea, to add some extra pace to the left side although they are good already. But Davies is well positioned with his contract ending in 2025. It would be the only possibility for Bayern Munich to make some money if they decide to transfer him to Real Madrid. And Davies knows that Bayern Munich would have to raise his salary or else he would let his contract expire and leave the club in 2025.

I think it depends where you are, but if you are not dependent on some WIFI gambling with your phone can still be ok. But it's a question of how much is on the line. Gambling with your phone is probably never as smart as using a laptop or computer. I had some WIFI blackouts when I played some card games on my phone and then saw my hands get folded when actually I decided to play that round. But I did indeed stop gambling when there is no stable Internet. I guess that is one of the issues most here know something about and had their own experiences with.

Inter Milan is very serious about their ambitions to win it all this season and in my opinion they are about the same level as Real Madrid and they are also playing a similar style. They don't always have the ball most of the time, but they are very good at using the time they have with the ball with impressive efficiency. No need to talk about Lautaro Martinez. He is in outstanding shape and he isn't very prone to injuries, which means I think he will continue to deliver like this. It will be a nice game between them and Atletico Madrid.

Fenerbahce is definitely keeping up the pressure for Galatasaray to win their game. I think if Galatasaray drops points, we may soon see Fenerbahce running away from the rest. Their second game will be at the end of the season pretty much. It's in May and if they stay close to each other that game could become an extremely exciting final for the title. But it is still a long way to go until then. Both teams are doing well. However, I like how Fenerbahce is doing so well with their attacking game. This is a little weakness for Galatasaray, but the results have still been ok for them.
