2821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to find coins to be listed on famous exchangers? on: March 30, 2021, 02:34:00 AM
I think back in the days, like in the 2013 to maybe 2016, 2017 Era, this was used as a means to pump and dump coins, cus initially, projects used to announce that their coin will be listed on a particular exchange maybe a week or two before the listing, if the exchange is a big one, users will start buying and coin price will skyrock but as soon as the coin gets listed, it will dump so heard even more than it have dumped before the announcement of the project listing, this is one of the reasons why projects stopped announcing listing schedules, they allow the exchanges to do the announcing when ever they deem it fit, thats when the project owners are allowed to make the announcement from the exchange official to their community members.

So since this new rules, it has been difficult to say for sure which project is going to get listed on a big exchange, but in my own little idea, I've discovered that if you follow a project closely, pay attention to the discussions in the group chat, you are likely to find out from there whether the project will get listed on a big exchange or not.
Many projects still trying to overhype the listing news not to mention if it's coming from big exchange, even there are some projects that are already making announcement of listing even when their status of listing is still uncertain.
But most of the time you can get the information from the telegram group admins, they usually provide information of listing in very transparent manner (if they are good projects of course) and have no problem with sharing the information.
After all people speculating because of the listing news shouldn't be blamed to the projects.
2822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where DeFi is headed on: March 29, 2021, 10:49:38 PM
The reality is the DeFi is going to the moon because if you look closely on DeFi platforms you'll notice the projects are making more money than any other. If you look at DeFi platforms such as UniSwap, SushiSwap, PancakeSwap, SpaceSwap, StakeDAO, 1inch, Compound, and more ... They are making money like crazy. These platforms are trading billions of dollars everyday with billions of dollars in liquidity as well.
Also need to take account that these platforms run automatically without the need of people intervention and these platform happen to generate really promising profit they get it in full, but the profit generated also goes to the community aswell like the liquidity provider so can't really say that they are making money like crazy, I think what makes most of these dex really promising is their own token or coin.
If it's profit, I believe CEX still surpass these DEX in term of profit making, just see binance, making billion and billions of dollars within a year and that's net profit.
2823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin or project dies? When and how? on: March 26, 2021, 10:47:12 AM
The die very soon mostly because they have very low amount of supporters therefore no one using their coin also because of scam that happens quite frequently, the time those developer of shady project grab the money is the time the project die because abandoned.
Also top coin could disappear but the decentralized coin that are among the top will hardly disappear, tether could disappear within night if the company behind it intend to remove their usdt but decentralized coin can't be controlled easily like that.
2824  Economy / Economics / Re: Strong kyc reason on: March 26, 2021, 07:32:55 AM
I think it's more of stealing identity that's done by so many company that can be trusted and sold in the dark web than bank creating money out of it, bank don't even make a profit out of it as far as I know it's the same thing as when you paying taxes through banks they don't get a dime but that's the only way their business can still go smoothly.

KYC, as in Know Your Customer? By how means will this lead more people to choose banks over crypto? I mean, the main reason bitcoin and other cryptos are a big thing right now is because it is anonymous, with little to no KYC. Plus KYC is not gonna give the banks more money, it's circulation from the government.

Weird post, man.
Exactly, not to mention KYC usually only happen when you try to invest into a project but if we use a coin like btc or ltc we can still stay anonymous.
2825  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reminder for crypto newbies, traders. Be cautious with new exchanges on: March 26, 2021, 04:46:09 AM
I have even noticed that there are people who just register on exchanges because they are giving registration and first deposit bonuses, they don’t even care to check out these sites most of the times to know how legit they are, which is totally wrong.

People shouldn’t be letting these traps that are being laid by scammers to catch them, the main focus should always be on how good an exchange really is and not their offers, that’s just a tactics that’s being used by scammers to distract people from focusing on the main issues , it’s just like cheese on a mouse trap.
Those people who hunts register bonus usually just try to sign up there and cash out though there's always someone who gonna stay in newly founded exchange, but scamming caused by exchanges happen frequently when the exchange is still in a new phase where they are small enough to be able to get away with the money they scammed. Big exchange won't scam because everyone know their details and they are just too big to scam people and get away with it. Even dapps that supposed to be decentralized often do rugpull.
2826  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Strategies to trade new listing on top exchange on: March 26, 2021, 03:07:47 AM
You always consider the real price of an alt that are newly listed after few months, the early stage of listing is always pump and dump as it acts as a trap for people who are new and get FOMO'd.
If you don't want to lose money in a newly listed coin on a top exchange you just either buy early or not buy at all since it's most likely that after a while people gonna take a chance to dump their coin to the new people who think the market gonna go up forever. Then after that, the coin will have stable price and if the coin is really promising it's gonna go up.
2827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: if btc is in a bear market, can some alts still moon ? on: March 25, 2021, 01:58:30 PM
Definitely can, some alt might have their own time of bullish and not affected by bitcoin at all but quite few actually since when btc is in bear market most of altcoin gonna either not moving in price or getting dumped.
However, most of alt that are new and have relatively low market cap and trading volume usually doesn't follow bitcoin market pattern.
But, the coin with high market cap usually just follow bitcoin.
2828  Economy / Economics / Re: 'Cryptocurrency is not legitimate money,' says Nigeria's central bank governor on: March 25, 2021, 08:28:22 AM
Yes, legitimate means something which is acknowledge  by the owner or creator by law, the case of bitcoin or crypto currency is not legitimate because there's no law acknowledging crypto currency or bitcoin by its owner or there's no law legalizing bitcoin as currency that everyone can use in the form of payment.

However even crypto currency isn't legitimate currency but we can use it in the form of payment as one of decentralize money.

Although bitcoin is deemed as illegitimate as Nigeria refuses to recognize bitcoin but atleast they could consider it as an asset and not banning people like that.
Many countries also didn't recognize crypto but atleast they gave their citizen the leisure of using crypto as an asset and not money, I think Nigeria central bank in this case, choose the wrong step not to mention this kind of technology sooner or later gonna dominate.
2829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening to altcoins in this bull season on: March 25, 2021, 05:26:11 AM
Do you think people will be interested in the concept of the new project? because currently projects that rely on the concept alone will not be glimpsed by investors and will not be liked by everyone if the team's performance is slow and does not have good development, unless the team really builds and executes the concept very correctly.
People still interested in a good concept of a new project only if they can be rest assured that the project gonna execute the concept succesfully and one of many way to know whether a project could do what they promised is to see the people behind the project. That's almost always the case when it comes to investors trying to choose project as I've observed, even if your concept is good, no one gonna bats an eye simply because they consider the project that has no famous people or big VC behind it as empty words.
2830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If stock market starts to crater, should we switch to BTC or USD? on: March 25, 2021, 02:53:06 AM
Just diversify it to decrease the risk, I would personally convert my stocks portfolio to cryptos distributed among top coins that has highest market cap.
and tbh, even if the stock market really crashes there's a good chance that my altcoins not gonna get affected, I've seen many coins that's still going up despite BTC bearish market back in the past.
But big share of my money gonna go to BTC of course, even if it's dumping somehow because of stock market it will certainly go back up again.
2831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First time scammed , very frustrated on: March 24, 2021, 10:04:53 AM
Scammers are now smarter, they can try to duplicate with a similarity of up to 90%. Sometimes we are careless and they are used to trick us. so you can make this experience a lesson in the future for you to be more vigilant in securing your assets
Exactly, I've seen some scammers go as far as creating linkedin profile and any other social media then they gonna use it in telegram group to increase their "fake" credibility as people assume if they have all the social media then they are the real person but that's not always the case and telegram banning isn't helping since creating a telegram account is really easy in some third world countries.
It's crazy how much these scammers put their effort into scamming activities like that.
2832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Coin On PANCAKESWAP on: March 24, 2021, 08:55:41 AM
If the platform allows any stranger to list their forged coin there it certainly has some scam coins. That's always the case with these kind of swap platform or decentralized exchange that runs without human intervention.
Speaking from devs perspective, you just can't filter the coins if there's so many submission and you're not getting paid for it. so just bear with it and always be careful when trying to use decentralized service and always check  contract address just in case.
2833  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Data suggesting more than 95% traders are losing on: March 24, 2021, 07:18:07 AM
I believe the calculations are true but cryptocurrency is not something a trader must do 24/7 because it has affected the relationship for some people and the last time I checked trading is not for everybody. After all, traders who can't control their emotions will always be among the 95% of trader that makes lost.
Even they lost control of their emotion but couldn't imagine those numbers, 95% is really high to think that only a few traders just succeed.
I think this 95% is not only in crypto trading alone or that possibly it is in the stock market where it is highly affected during the pandemic. The stock market dumps which means traders and investors had lost a lot, not in crypto where it keeps moving high making trader earn more.
You underestimated the amount of newbies that trying to make quick bucks in trading within a year, they are those people who said to buy high sell low mainly because they are still heavily influenced by their emotion which is fear than quit trading after failing a few times. I've seen so many people like that and even some of them go back to trading just to fail again since they are not really good at emotion management and I think they are the one that makes up those 95% number of traders who are losing.
2834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Dogecoin reach 1$ soon? on: March 24, 2021, 05:48:30 AM
It is very difficult in my opinion, seeing the current price of Dogecoin with a large total supply and also Dogecoin will not be like other altcoins that can have a drastic pump in just a few hours. but even so, Dogecoin can still be used as one of the coins used

Agreed, even the fact that doge could still hold its value at around half of ATH despite the hype has died out is already good enough for Doge. If it really hits $1 in the future then the market capitalization would be very huge and I doubt at that time people not gonna dump, it seems the big whales gonna dump doge to the bottom if $1 price ever reached since that's exactly what they aiming for.
2835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Falling of Ethereum on: March 24, 2021, 03:31:21 AM
Falling is a natural thing, considering that in recent times the price of ETH has increased quite significantly so that a market correction is inevitable.
Exactly, considering how much ETH price has grown within 2 years, it would be really strange if ETH instead keep going up without correction even though they just recently hot ATH. I wouldnt even be surprised if ETH go down as much as half of its current price simply because that price then still gonna be above of its price 3 years ago.
as a trader, shouldn't only view a coin market movement from the current period of time perspective but also need to view from its overall long term price movement
2836  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I coded a bot that buys bitcoin every time Elon Musk tweets about bitcoin and op on: March 23, 2021, 09:36:38 AM
I was really thinking of implementing this kind of bot that detect elon's tweet whether he mentioned specific crypto or not with node js since his tweet really impactful to the market  but you've already done it, then I'll have the pleasure to use it instead LOL.
but yeah, it seems other people's concern regarding when there's some negative words accompanying bitcoin in his tweet could somewhat be a double edged sword, I think the simplest solution right now is just to also detect if his words contains negative words.
Honestly, can't imagine if for example 10 thousand people use the bot, elon basically in control of 10k people's money in their financial decision, kinda scary and the reason that holds me back.
2837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to learn and keep up to date on the best alt coins? on: March 23, 2021, 08:40:35 AM
I only join crypto groups to buy potential coins, this makes it easier for me to choose which projects are good to invest in. If you want to look for potential coins, you can join telegram groups about trading, there are many groups that provide trading charts. Or you can learn on CoinMarketCap, you can choose projects below rank 200.
You should also note that the trading group usually shilling for a coin so you shouldn't just blindly follow their signal it's always better to make decision based on your own analyzation, their signal or etc is only good to make you know that this certain coin exists and nothing more.
Not to mention that telegram groups usually are by far the worst place where you can find many scammers.
2838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: insane fees on eth (uniswap) on: March 23, 2021, 07:27:23 AM
Recently i have done tx on uniswap. The total fees cost goes 50-80USD. noramlly compare to binance smart chain its huge.

anyway there is "Approve" and "swap" . each there are charging. why there are two things , means approve and swap,

there need to eth 2.0 or BSC needy to replacement this insane network fees... I really fedup

BSC fee's are the only posivie thing that go into BSC favor. Rest is not.
Fundamentally, BSC is crap, and within a month or two, ETH fee's will come down, and BSC will be dead like xdai and matic

Couldn't agree more, the fact that BSC centralized is supposedly to keep people who concerned about the idea of crypto in the first place from moving over to it if they could grasp that centralized means CZ gonna be the supreme lord which has authority over this blockchain.

Until this day I keep wondering why most of people choose to migrate to BSC than to other decentralized smart contract platform. I know the migration to BSC is simple but it's still better to move over the same decentralized blockchain than to centralized ones.
2839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Is the Best Stable Coin for Saving? on: March 23, 2021, 04:35:05 AM
USDC is really good considering they are partnering with visa, although you may use these stablecoins just for staking but it's really no harm to choose stablecoins that could bring more features. Not to mention there's rumour going around that visa may launch USDC credit card but we don't know whether that rumour holds the truth.
2840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's with the NFT hype? on: March 23, 2021, 03:06:00 AM
On my perspective, I don't really know what is the main reason why people are spending millions of dollars for just a single art.
On the collector's perspective, maybe there is a reason for them why they are spending that much just for a single art. They want to collect it for some reasons. Reasons that I don't know either.

One thing more is that NFT's aren't just the arts, drawings, paintings that are just digitized. In-game items that can be sold too are considered an NFT. Blockchain items that can be get in the game and can be sold are considered NFT too.
I think it's just more of hype and trying to gain some popularity by bidding some NFT like jack dorsey's tweet other than that it could be a useful media for artist to sell their art digitally. one more thing regarding the use of NFT in game industry in my opinion it seems very promising as it could act as in game currency, item license etc.
