After this week’s monster move upward I’m a bit surprised we’re still holding near $30K. Barely a pullback at all from traders cashing in gains. This shows that the coins being scooped up are being held, likely by big banks, and likely to put in their funds that they will offer to investors. This could potentially be the most bullish phase of crypto, but also likely the most dangerous.
2942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: June 22, 2023, 04:52:02 PM
As a morally upright person that does not like to cheat people, but gambles and has lost a lot of money to gambling in a casino where you have sometimes been cheated even without your knowledge or betting on sports, will you take an opportunity you get and go against your moral standards to cheat a casino or sportsbetting place, just so you can win big at least even once.

Will you try a trick to win on casino game machines if you were told and it is a 100% working trick to cash out? Will you bet on fixed games if you get the tip early?

There is always risk involved in anything. I’m sure even fixed games don’t go the right way all of the time. Same with commonly used strategies and exploits. If I found an advantage and it was legal, I would certainly use it. If it were an obvious bug I would even probably report it once I was convinced I had found an exploit. I think that would likely be appreciated.
2943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 22, 2023, 04:35:40 AM
Someone once told me that the lottery was a tax on people who were bad at math. It’s a bit ironic that the proceeds go to schools. Anyway, I think those who gamble to win money are a victim of the same circumstance. However, if you gamble to have fun, you can’t lose. Remember that in the end it’s about entertainment.

A huge day for crypto. I’m seeing a lot of 10%+ gains out there and a big day for Bitcoin as well. I feel like this rally has some legs. There aren’t many more crypto entities for the government to attack, so we’re left with fewer worries as all eyes turn to mtgox. I think once that distribution is made, we’re likely to see the start of a massive bull run.
2945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: June 21, 2023, 04:53:04 PM
Is it possible for a casino to go bankrupt because a player gets a very big win?

I think maybe that's hard to happen if we look at casinos that are already big and well known. But suppose there is a new casino, and there are some players who are very good at playing, so they can win continuously, can the casino go bankrupt? or do they already have an algorithm or a way so players can't keep winning?

If you’re talking about online casinos, most of them are basically middlemen for larger gambling companies and just take a cut of the bet, so they don’t care one way or another if you win or lose. If you’re talking about large physical casinos, they have so much debt already, players winning huge amounts is barely a drop in the bucket.
2946  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's really scary about artificial intelligence? on: June 21, 2023, 01:55:37 PM
I think with everyone’s reliance on social media and lack of using things like cryptography to ensure their identities, AI will be able to overwhelm platforms with misinformation, scam attempts, and impersonations to the point that people won’t be able to trust anything or anyone they see online. Events could be faked, relationships, even history could be altered at a scale where humans are powerless to fight all the disinformation. I honestly don’t think we have a chance against it, but this is a problem for the next generation.
2947  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Stacks Bowers June Showcase Auction for Physicals is Tomorrow! Polymerbit Debut! on: June 21, 2023, 01:51:42 PM
Thanks for sharing and congratulations. I would agree that collectibles on this forum are undervalued as displayed by these auctions. I see that a NastyFans Minted Seat was also sold in this auction at a substantial premium than one could be purchased new from our site right now. Makes you think that there’s an opportunity in being a middleman and selling collectibles like this for USD that can currently only be purchased with BTC.

2948  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 21, 2023, 01:45:55 PM
It seems that every day now I wake up to a higher Bitcoin price. Either that or horrible news that causes a small correction. The big banks that are causing this market melt up will no doubt look like geniuses when they start collecting massive fees on their funds built with currently cheap BTC. Get some coins and get them off of exchanges…
2949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things that still make feel awkward with some online casinos on: June 21, 2023, 01:43:37 PM
I think the biggest reason I feel awkward using online casinos is the difference in regulation from one place to the next. It’s hard to stay on top of when you are in new places. In the US it varies from state to state even. Some states I can bet on games, some I can bet on players, some I can use slots, some I can’t gamble at all. I think if there’s one place that a global standard of regulation would be helpful, it’s the gambling space.

Which are best stake alternatives
I search for good casinos with similar original games

I guess my question to you would be why do you need an alternative? Stake has not only proven to be a fair online casino, their sponsorships and bankroll have made them quite trusted. Add in that they’re now making major legitimate moves like their Kick investment and I think it’s pretty hard for their competition to match their efforts.
2951  Economy / Speculation / Re: FTX recovered $7.3B in Assets and is considering restarting! on: June 21, 2023, 01:38:44 PM
While I find it hard to believe that SBF is going to walk away from this a rich and free man while stealing billions, I do think this is a perfect example of corruption in politics and finance. It’s hard to imagine any other scenario than SBF being a government plant to help undermine the crypto industry while clearing a path for companies like Blackrock to enter the space. With Bitcoin now on the verge of being completely compromised from it’s development to it’s supply, you have to start to wonder if financial freedom for regular people was ever a possibility.
2952  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: June 21, 2023, 04:56:58 AM
I keep hearing about all these major signings by Kick to take over the streaming title from twitch and it’s pretty cool to know that Stake is behind it. This company is doing awesome things and giving back to a lot of content creators and I love it. I think if I were more popular I’d have to start a kick stream about crypto or gambling and try to get a sponsorship. Smiley
2953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 21, 2023, 04:53:38 AM
Anyone else getting excited for the NBA draft on Thursday June 22? I always love the NBA draft over most other drafts being that there is only two rounds, so you pretty much know anyone in round 1 or 2 could easily become and NBA star one day.

Lucky for the Spurs getting the number 1 pick.  I don't know much about Victor Wembanyama, but I do know he's hands down the number one prospect since Lebron, which is of course saying something.

That being said, Lebron is the most hyped prospect of all time...is Victor number 2?
Wemby is truly the greatest prospect on this draft and you might also be right that he could be next to Lebron. But we don't know yet what's gonna be the run of his career until we see him play. There is no doubt that the Spurs have secured him already and I'm excited to see who's gonna picked regardless of the no. they'll get and on what round they'll be picked. So after the easy NBA finals that we've watched, this is always the next big thing NBA fans are waiting for.

I think Wemby is going to be a bust. He’s just too tall and too young to have the strength he needs to play in the NBA. I think he’s likely to get injured long before he’s established the type of body he will need to compete in the key. I think he’s going to be bullied pretty badly and get hurt. Likely he won’t see much playing time for a while as a result.
2954  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breaking out of 2 month downtrend on: June 21, 2023, 04:50:40 AM
The recovery from the latest drop has been impressive. I can’t believe we’re touching back above $29K so soon after the Binance and Coinbase drama. Feels a lot like the runup to the halving has started. There are a couple speed bumps along the way to get over still, but it’s starting to get exciting thinking about what is quickly approaching.
2955  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the most recognised celebrations in your country? on: June 20, 2023, 08:21:03 PM
I don’t have anything exciting to add but when I read this Christmas immediately jumped into my mind when I thought about the most popular holiday in America. Thinking about it, that’s interesting because it’s a religious holiday and a great deal of the country doesn’t even celebrate it. I guess that can be said for any holiday though. As far as American holidays go, I’d say the Fourth of July.
2956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 20, 2023, 08:14:25 PM
Every attempt and the price breaking lower for extended periods of time is met with a melt up in price. Someone is clearly scooping up lots of BTC at these levels and it seems to be the big banks. I have a feeling once they’ve bought up everyone’s BTC, we might see a bubble with the support of some of the largest players in finance. I don’t think a 10 trillion dollar market cap for Bitcoin is out of the question in the next 30 months.
2957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 20, 2023, 08:11:45 PM
I think Draymond declining his player option was a goodbye to the Warriors. I don’t believe they sign him to a long term deal. His tweet about taco Tuesday with LeBron leads me to believe he’ll be signing with the Lakers and with them having the same agent it works out. Not sure if an old Draymond who can’t shoot anymore is what the Lakers need, but we’ll see how good he is without the Warriors system.

One of the key player for Golden State, he always was near a double double or a triple double on very important game, i know maybe in the disciplinary side he is not reliable but still a A+ player.

He was the monk in the shadows of Curry and Thompson.

I think it can be good for Lakers, they lack this kind of players.

I don’t know. Draymond has great floor vision, sets great screens, and is a good defender. LeBron has great floor vision, the Lakers don’t have a guy that rolls off screens, and AD anchors the defense. I think a guy like Kevin Love who can rebound and shoot, or basically any spot up shooter along with a center that plays defense like JaVale McGee or Dwight Howard would be a better fit.

Really cool looking stickers. Missed ordering some. :s
Given the fact they allow re-printing by yourself I wonder if there is a way to discern the original Greenpeace stickers from custom prints?

I finally got mine so don’t worry if yours hasn’t arrived yet to anyone who may be waiting. They’re still slowly making their way out to people. The envelope does look sketchy and cheap, which was also my first impression of the stickers. They’re a lot thinner and cheaper seeming than I had expected, which I guess is normal considering they were free. They seem easily replicable though.

This is crazy. Not sure how I didn’t se it sooner (or if I did then I forgot). I couldn’t imagine making such a massive bet. OP must be a wealthy dude to be able to toss nearly six figures at a sporting event. Props for doing it publicly and announcing it beforehand. That must have been one hell of a nervous game to watch.
