2341  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The fate of Democracy in West Africa shakes on: August 15, 2023, 04:15:50 PM
Something strange appears to be going on in Africa. News appears limited in certain regions and I have even seen radar evidence that most of central Africa is a no fly zone for some unexplained reason. I hope I’m just I’ll informed and something more sinister isn’t happening, but with the state of today’s news it’s hard to know what is really going on.
2342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Unit Logo System on: August 15, 2023, 04:13:01 PM
As others have stated, the logos are done very well and appear extremely professional. Good work by the graphic artist for sure. However, I have to wonder if so many logos are needed. It seems pretty confusing for me and so I’m sure to most normal people having so many logos for different decimal places is insane. Nice work regardless.
2343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: August 15, 2023, 04:08:56 PM
Has anyone made any progress is uncovering the secrets to get AI to help decide on bets to place for sporting events? With the NBA season now quickly approaching, it would be great to get to mess around with AI and placing bets on games. I guess I’ll have to get down and dirty and see what solution I can come up with.
2344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: August 15, 2023, 04:07:12 PM
All this is just a distraction from more important things.
I wouldn't waste any time watching or betting on this fake fight between two elite puppets, for me it is more interesting to watch two dogs barking on each other in street.
And I am not surprised to see Dana White getting involved talking about this because there will be lot of money involved, but I heard Musk is not going to show up for this fight.

Musk seems willing to show up for the fight. He even said he was going to bang on Mark’s door yesterday but Zuckerberg’s team put out a message that Mark wasn’t home. I am interested in this fight because it may be the most watched fight in human history, but I would agree that it is definitely distracting both from more important things.
2345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: August 15, 2023, 04:05:06 PM
Any more news about a potential MMA style rematch? Before the fight there was lots of talk and even after Jake claimed that he was going to kick Nate’s ass in the octagon next. I wonder if that was all talk to hype up this fight or if Jake is really willing to switch sports in order to make it a more challenging fight.
2346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 15, 2023, 04:03:06 PM
The NBA schedule is being released today if anyone was dying to get their favorite games circled on the calendar. I know I’m personally looking forward to Phoenix’s home opener against the Los Angeles Lakers, as it will be the first time LeBron James and Kevin Durant have faced off in several years. Will surely be a great game to watch for fans.
2347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 14, 2023, 09:37:10 PM
Kawhi has always been one of the biggest "what ifs" in the history of NBA, of course there are a lot more as well and this isn't at the top for sure but he is a big one. This dude won 2 fmvp's and is not even considered remotely anywhere the top, not even in any top 10 topics ever, I am not saying that he is not in it, I am saying he is not even considered to be in it at all, ever.

How many other 2 time finals mvp's can you name that people wouldn't even consider a small slight chance of them being in top 10? Nobody. That dude spent 2 years as bringing championship to his team, and all rest of his career as spending time resting his injury. That's really not normal and should be considered a bit weird but unlucky at the same time.
He's just underrated.

Sadly, there are players that have been at the top of fans preference and that's why they're more getting recognition. They're talking about title's and what, while some are getting the huge contracts despite not even touching a finals game.

And if it's about title, no doubt that Kawhi did it without that much of a superstar roster for his last or most recent title still, he's able to count on that roster that he's been with.

Crazy how one play against a dirty player seemingly derailed Kawhi from what an amazing career. Not to say he hasn’t had one, but he was certainly cut down right before his prime by a dirty close out. At least the NBA addressed the issue with a rule change, but you have to wonder how good Kawhi could have been.
2348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the powerhouse of cryptocurrency on: August 14, 2023, 05:03:04 AM
Regulators certainly seem to agree with your subject line. I’m a bit surprised to see regulation altering between Bitcoin and the rest of the cryptocurrencies. It’s as if Bitcoin is being given a pass while the others are being subjected to legal scrutiny.  Regardless of the reason, Bitcoin appears to be the King.
2349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 13, 2023, 09:51:44 PM
I’m a Sean O’Malley fan. I think he’s a cool dude and probably the only UFC fighter I’d really want to hang out with in real life. That being said, I think he takes a bad loss in this next fight.

Interestingly, Conor McGregor has said he’ll be fighting in December against Michael Chandler. This is the first confirmation I’ve heard of who and when he’ll be fighting. Looks like the wait is on.
2350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: August 13, 2023, 09:45:45 PM
Elon Musk has responded to Mark Zuckerberg’s latest post by calling him a chicken. I actually had to double check to make sure this is real.

https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1690834577219002368

It is real. This is seemingly in response to Xuck claiming that Elon is not serious when Elon requested that they spar in Mark’s cage. Mark says Elon isn’t real about fighting, Elon says Mark is a coward… Interesting times.

This is 5D chess  Grin
Before this tweet, I thought that Musk was just trolling Zuckerberg in order to show his stupidity (Zuckerberg's big involvement in savage fun), but now I again lost the logical thread by which all this could be connected. It remains only to wait and see how it all ends, because we must see some result - too many preparations have been made.

Now Elon has said that he’s knocking on Zuckerberg’s door tomorrow and demanding a fight. This is insanity. Elon is going to end up getting himself arrested. Once again, I had to check to even make sure Elon’s tweet was real. Once again, it is.

https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1690837333107511298

I must say that I love Elon as a troll, but this is starting to feel like bullying to me, which is not really cool.

2352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 13, 2023, 06:29:34 PM
The Athletic is reporting that the Philadelphia 76ers are refusing to trade James Harden and requesting him to appear in training camp. However, James Harden has said he has no plans to play for the 76ers this year and won’t be attending training camp. We’ve got ourselves a bit of a stand-off situation to start the 2024 season.

Here we go again with this guy and not so long ago we saw him when he wanted to leave the team he would do some funny thing for them to finally consider how to trade him as quickly as possible. remember when leaves his body to consume more than he needs and gains a huge amount of weight which makes him fat. The Houston Rockets became so frustrated and quickly released him because they thought there would be no chance for him to contribute good things to the team and suddenly after that, he retained his old self again. Now that he's doing his same old trick again the 76ers don't care about it anymore.
I think Rockets just did the smart thing, instead of being tortured by this guy I would also just rather do a rebuilding and not being subjected to Harden's drama. I have had it with this guy as a simple NBA fan. What are these players thinking? It is not good for anyone, themselves, the teams, the fans, the league. Nba is giving too much power to these players. That being said, I think 76ers will just give up and trade him. Because they are helpless and it is inevitable that these players get what they want. I used to like players being traded, that is some exciting part of the nba. But Harden, Kyrie, Durant and Westbrook just killed it for me. I think we can already say that this is yet another year we can't expect anything proper from 76ers. That is such a shame.

I don’t think they should trade him. Players are getting way too much power in today’s NBA. Philly should force him to live up to his contract and if not then he can sit on the bench and waste the final years of his career not playing. One day he’ll look back and realize he should have lived up to his word instead of trying to force what he wants.
2353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free NFTs real or fake? on: August 13, 2023, 09:20:56 AM
What you need to remember is that on most chains other than Ethereum, issuing NFTs is basically free. So getting an NFT in your wallet doesn’t mean someone sent you a lot of value. It’s best to ignore them 99% of the time. It can even be dangerous to interact with them sometimes. Be careful and stick to messing with NFTs that you actually buy.
2354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: August 13, 2023, 07:49:25 AM
I don’t think sports betting groups make as much sense as investment groups. With investment groups they have the potential to move the market in their favor, but with sports betting groups and the way odds works, it’s like they’re working against themselves. That means the money to be made there is probably in collecting subscriptions for your own group.
2355  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World Bank halts new loans over anti-LGBTQ law. Right decision or hypocrisy? on: August 13, 2023, 02:07:46 AM
It is pretty crazy to me how the people running the world bank have seemingly decided that pushing any form of gender nonsense or puberty blocking anything as long as it reduces population is a good thing. They’re now throwing their full weight behind their beliefs by denying loans and forcing companies like Budweiser near bankruptcy just to meet their ridiculous standards.

2357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would We Pay Taxes When We Don't Exchange Bitcoin for Fiat Anymore? on: August 12, 2023, 08:31:37 PM
If there’s one thing you can be certain of it is that there will be more taxes in the future. They’re not only exploring taxing Bitcoin transactions (they already do) and improving enforcement, they’re also looking at how to tax you on the Bitcoin you own even if you don’t trade or sell it. Going after unrealized gains with taxes is a real thing…
2358  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for August on: August 12, 2023, 08:29:39 PM
The chart does make it seem like we could be headed downwards for a bit. I don’t think this is a major problem though. It’s somewhat expected at this point. It’s also expected that the recovery will send Bitcoin to new all time highs in the next 2 years, so I would focus more on that and look at any dips as opportunities to grow your stack.
2359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Irresponsible behavior at the Las Vegas Casino on: August 12, 2023, 08:28:08 PM
A man run naked in a Las Vegas casino (Linq Casino) and jumped on the poker table and started to dance. He was arrested instantly by the security, however his family says that he was drunk and therefore he did such type of act.

More details can be read here Naked Gyrating Guy Arrested at Harrah’s Las Vegas Was Drugged, Family Claims

The point here is why gamblers do such shameless acts and what the rules of the casino suggest the penality for these acts. Do you think the gambler did it purposefully perhaps to become popular in the headlines  Huh

If you read the article you’d know that he didn’t do a shameless act for attention and I wouldn’t even classify him as a gambler. He was a drunk guy that was tripping hard on mushrooms. Not the greatest combination in public and especially if you’re naked. I can imagine this must have been a crazy scene, but I’m sure to the shrooming guy things seemed even crazier.
2360  Economy / Economics / Re: What could Elon Musk be buying next? on: August 12, 2023, 08:25:31 PM
It looks like X (formerly known as twitter) has been granted a money transmitter license. This is a pretty big step towards being the financial hub that Elon claimed he wanted to build. As X becomes the everything app, you have to wonder what impact it will have on Bitcoin and even crypto as a whole. Maybe DOGE is finally about to have it’s time come.
