2201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 02, 2023, 04:52:19 PM
Steve Kerr is stirring the pot by saying that he would love to coach Giannis, saying he’s not only a great player but also a great person. I think that’s probably as much as he can say without getting fined for tampering, but it’s pretty clear that Golden State is going to do everything they can to try and sign Giannis when the time comes.
Yeah, it will be a limited statement, or else the NBA will be on his tail.  Cheesy
Signing Giannis to the Golden State Warriors will probably cost them a lot of good players. Wiggins, and maybe even Klay or Draymond. But if the Bucks are interested they could take CP3 which means a great deal of money that will be released to their salary cap and they get someone that will be worth the price, no disrespect to CP3.
But it all sums down to what the Bucks will need. Giannis is one of the top of the league so I don't think they are just going to let him go. I am more sure that he will make him the face of their franchise.
I've seen some rumors regarding Jrue Holiday trade too but the source is not that convincing so I think it's just a rumor that will die quickly.

Yes, that's what I'm seeing as well, if Klay don't play well in the upcoming season, then I think he will be in the trading block. And if Giannis shows intention of joining, then maybe throw in Wiggins + future draft picks.

Not sure about Draymond though, he is the bedrock of the Warriors so I don't see the management letting go of him. And he just sign a good contract, so he could be out of the equation.

That really might be the case, there is a chance that Klay Thompson will be delivered for the trade along with a few first rounders instead of Draymond as it's always Klay who is somehow not consistent enough compared to Draymond who is always a defensive machine in the perimeter.

The team knows that he is already old and yet they still gave him what he asked because he never failed the team, and next season, it's Klay's time to show if he's still the right man for the job and until then, the Warriors will weigh the things if he still deserves to be given an extension.

As Klay ages his defense is going to struggle and I think a trade to a team like the Lakers where he could be a spot shooter and nothing else would be good for him and the Warriors. Draymond just needs to be released… Giannis will do his role better than him anyway. I don’t think Klay to the Lakers is likely, but they are pursuing Trae Young for this season to try and meet their shooting demands.
2202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is horse racing so unpopular here and a bit of extra feedback on: September 02, 2023, 04:49:20 PM
Where I live betting on horse racing is probably the most widely accepted form of gambling. There are places everywhere like bars that have betting on horse racing available right there. There’s no need for a casino or to have to jump online and find a way to gamble. I imagine that is part of the reason that betting on horse racing isn’t as popular online.
2203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rant: Casinos should hire people who knows about what they do on: September 02, 2023, 02:16:33 AM
I think the hiring process for traditional casinos is prettt intense to make sure that they get trustworthy and competent help. With online casinos they probably mostly look for people who are available and work cheap, as they don’t have to trust them as much as physical casino employees, so it’s likely that they aren’t hiring the best help money can find.
2204  Other / Off-topic / Re: money before Romance on: September 02, 2023, 02:13:14 AM
I can’t say I see a lot of correlation between money and romance. Usually it seems like the opposite. Men with a ton of money are typically obsessed with their work or investments and don’t show women the proper attention, whereas broke guys who spend their days and nights chasing women typically seem to do pretty well regardless of their net worth.
2205  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: September 02, 2023, 02:10:20 AM
First video I’ve seen of the Cybertruck hailing a trailer. Check it out on X (twitter):
https://x.com/omg_tesla/status/1697778917573275898

You can really judge too much from a video of a Cybertruck flying by hauling a trailer, but it does appear to be casually pulling the trailer, likely for some sort of range test while pulling a load.
2206  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 01, 2023, 11:47:24 PM

It’s a gift for those stacking BTC. My advice would be to grab as much BTC as you can between now and Halloween. I suspect by then the market will be sitting on a powder keg playing with matches. Those who sell now are going to be very happy in the short term and then very sad a year from now. Don’t be sad.
2207  Economy / Goods / Re: AirBNB in Las Vegas, NV : Crypto Accepted : 👍👎❤️🎉🤩😱 on: September 01, 2023, 09:05:47 PM
Nice.  A 20% discount puts it around $120 a night.  Not a bad price at all, especially for the amount of rooms.  I didn't look too much into the location and the yard isn't going to host a rager, but still cool to think that you can get a house in Vegas for the night for some sats.  Thanks for posting this here.  If I'm ever in need of a place to stay in Vegas for the night I'll try to remember to keep you in mind.  Would be great if you could list that Bitcoin was accepted on AirBNB.
2208  Economy / Gambling / Re: Thought's on many major fiat-crypto payment gateways ditching casino business's? on: September 01, 2023, 09:02:17 PM
The great thing about crypto is that it shouldn't matter.  I guess if you're constantly moving money back and forth it might be a big deal, but even then I'm sure you could find the right bank that would be willing to work with you.  If you're just using crypto though, it shouldn't matter if banks cut off your casino.  It could be a problem if they close your account, but like I said, someone will always be willing to provide you the service you need so long as everything you're doing is legal.  At some point banks won't be needed at all...

Am thinking slow grind to $23K if people don't lose their shit rather than $20K panic mode. Grind it out until the end of the year now.

ETF delay wasn't even bad news. Was just not good news either. Capitulation is so 2022 right now.

Have otherwise changed avatar brightness to low.

We may see a slow grind for a bit but it's all just waiting on the inevitable.  With the halving quickly approaching at some point the mood will flip and people will go into heavy accumulation mode.  The amount of demand the market is seeing now even without an ETF is enough to overwhelm sellers once the halving hits.  If an ETF spikes demand on top of that, we're going to see another bubble.  I don't even think the mtgox coins will be enough to hold it down, although that is the last real concern the market has before the perfect storm arrives.
2210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 01, 2023, 08:57:46 PM
Suddenly I'm seeing a lot of talk about the Suns trading Bradley Beal...  I don't even know if that's an option or something they would want, but I'm hearing names like Donovan Mitchell and James Harden.  I doubt the Suns would be willing to take on Harden as he's a huge risk and has already said he wants to be the number one option on whatever team he lands on, but Mitchell might be a legitimate option if they were trying to flip Beal.  I'd personally rather have Beal as I think he fits in better with other stars, but Mitchell is an elite player when it comes time to show it.
2211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Behaviours of gamblers you dislike. on: September 01, 2023, 08:55:06 PM
What is the one behaviour you noticed in a gambler and  you dislike it? You don't need to have a reason for disliking it but you just do.

As for me I dislike when gamblers complain of their losses, meanwhile you hear them complain when they are getting winnings.

What about you, what do you dislike ?

I dislike it when gamblers complain about having an addiction and the things they do to circumvent casino's attempts at helping them, while simultaneously complaining about the casino.  Not just that, but I see a lot of gamblers blaming others for their losses.  It seems like a lot of people think they're going to be the one that beats the system and gets rich while taking ridiculous risks then they blame anyone they can when things don't work out like they thought they would.

2213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spot Bitcoin ETF Approval Odds Rise to 75% (Bloomberg) on: September 01, 2023, 05:56:57 AM
I don’t know who makes those odds or where they’re getting their info from, but to me it’s always been a question of when and not if. It’s been clear for quite some time now that crypto is going to stick around as a new asset class and investors have been hungry for ways to gain exposure in their portfolios. I think it happens before next summer almost certainly.
2214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 01, 2023, 12:36:33 AM
Word has it that JaVale McGee is going to sign with the Sacramento Kings. I think he’s a great pickup for anyone, but will certainly help the Kings off the bench. Any big bodies to help beat up opposing teams when Sabonis is on the bench will be a welcomed addition in Sacramento. The most exciting gimmick in sports, the beam, will be on full display next season.
2215  Economy / Collectibles / Re: WTB: Casascius 1 BTC on: August 31, 2023, 07:59:55 PM
Looking to buy graded Casascius 1 BTC denomination coins. Prefer graded. Ideally silvers or GILT.

DM me with what you have
USA buyer
Prefer meet in person, or escrow if needed.

I’ve got one in excellent condition. The question is always how much are you willing to pay. At least a ballpark figure might be helpful for others who own one of these. I’m sure everyone would like to buy or sell at some price, so having an idea of what yours is will certainly assist in making a deal come to fruition.
2216  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 31, 2023, 07:57:38 PM
I'd also say no. Approvals are usually bullish for price until product launch date, while the launches themselves have always been bearish.

Well, other than the GLD ETF approval of course.

How analogous last millennia's hard store of value money is to this improved hard store of value money -- and thereby the associated ETFs -- might be a matter of discussion.

I don’t think the ETF approval will be a case of buy the rumor sell the news. The ETF approvals will open the floodgates for new investors and allow funds that may have otherwise not been able to buy BTC to get involved. While there may be some profit taking by traders initially, an ETF approval is a pretty bullish thing that will likely propel the market for a period of years, not days.
2217  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much ,as you think ,is 1 bitcoin in 2025? on: August 31, 2023, 03:04:08 PM
It is funny to read back and get a reminder what the market was 10 years ago. I remember people saying when Bitcoin hit $1,000 they’d be having massive parties and flying people in from all over the world. Amazing that most people sold and disappeared instead of taking the ride. While a $1K BTC seemed far fetched then, a million dollar BTC doesn’t seem out of the question now…

It is suspected that the Cybertruck Release Candidate is out on the streets! This is pretty big news. It means they have finalized a model and are ready to send it to mass production! It won’t be long now. You can see pictures of the release candidate that were posted on Twitter (x) a couple hours ago in the below link.

2219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is crypto mining still profitable? on: August 31, 2023, 03:10:55 AM
Now is the time to stack in silence and wait. When mining isn’t profitable has historically been the best time to be mining. By the time it’s profitable that means the price has already risen and everybody is fighting to get as much hashrate as possible. By then it’s too late. If you are able, just mine coins and wait until the market comes back to sell.
2220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 30, 2023, 11:05:05 PM
Even Dana White has said he has, “no clue” if Conor McGregor is going to be able to fight in December or not. He confirmed that the UFC has no plans for him to fight at this time and no knowledge if he’ll be able to fight or not. I guess the rumor is going around because of an AI generated advertisement and has no basis in reality.
