2261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think we need to start asking people if...... on: August 25, 2023, 08:29:08 PM
Cool story… I used to ask people and give them the talk when they inquired about it. Most normal people think you’re trying to scam them or rope them into a Ponzi scheme. I understand it. You really need to jump down the rabbit hole on your own. You can’t force people to want to care about Bitcoin. A higher percentage of people than you probably think don’t want to care or concern themselves with the state of the dollar or the government.

I can’t believe that the idea our temperature is determined by how far we are from the sun is considered controversial today.

Is anybody going to talk about the eco-friendly straws people in certain places were forced to use being toxic? Are we really going to continue to let governments poison their citizenry in the name of climate change?

I’m not the only one thinking it. Giannis would make such a deadly combination with Steph that I think they almost owe it to us to make it happen. If Klay decides to stick around in Golden State I don’t think his age will be a big issue. His game isn’t based on athleticism. His defense might struggle but that jump shot isn’t going anywhere.

But it will take a toll from the Warriors to acquire Giannis and if that trade happens today,  I think it might take Klay + Andrew Wiggins or maybe a Kuminga then future picks.

And Steph is not getting any younger and could be injury prone in the next 2-3 years. But who knows what might happen, there are a lot of unexpected trade that has happened in the past and for sure it will continue in the future. Kevin Durant to GSW, no one was expecting it, until the deal is made and they made a couple of championships along the way.

I don’t think you can trade for a player like Giannis. You have to let his contract run out and sign him. As is, they’ll have to get rid of Draymond and probably trade Wiggins to make room salary wise and still be able to build a team, but if you have the chance to pair Steph and Giannis you do it and worry about the details later. I think this is a very real possibility for the 2025 season.

In the case of Mixers, there can't be a "White line", If the mixers do that, then it won't be decentralized, and people won't use them obviously for privacy reasons, I can't think of any solutions for it.

It isn’t decentralized now. That’s my whole point and what those bashing me by saying I’m not making sense don’t seem to understand because they’re blinded by their own greed. If Bitcoin’s privacy depends on centralized run services that result in their founders being jailed, it has failed in providing privacy. The answer is doing it at the protocol level, which must be done after Bitcoin has already been accepted into the existing financial system like a Trojan horse.

People willing to put a target on Bitcoin, this forum, and their own backs by promoting centralized money laundering services for money aren’t doing some great thing for privacy. Them using everything in their power to silence and discredit those that point this out is a whole other issue. One that a strong leader would address.
2265  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Trump be indicted ? on: August 25, 2023, 05:32:46 PM
Trump posting his mugshot as his first post on twitter (X) in years is absolutely genius. He only has about 650K likes after 4 hours. While it won’t be the most liked twitter post, it’s going to end up being up there. This is an absolute mockery of the justice system. If this doesn’t wake people up we’re doomed.

https://x.com/realdonaldtrump/status/1694886846050771321

Do you think any former president that just lost re-election should be able to try and overturn the election by lying to government officials, intimidating election workers, asking government officials to commit election fraud by "finding him" more votes, or organizing an election fraud scheme to submit fake electoral vote documents through the official government channels?

And then there's the documents....and the shell company to avoid

Or do you just really hate democrats/love Trump so you're going to just right wing outrage lines like "absolute mockery of the justice system" without ever reading any of the actual indictments.

I understand your ignorance. Since you liked Biden so much, there was no reason to get into the details of how is team and his handlers stole the election for him. Completely understandable.

Perhaps you are a big fish in some little pond somewhere. But, the country is pretty big. Maybe it will be your grandchildren who become Chinese slaves, with chop sticks run into their ears so they can't hear the propaganda about how bad they are being harmed by their government.

Of course, if Biden continues, and somebody follows who is like him, it might happen a lot sooner... like directly to you... and all of us.

Cool

Liberals are so brainwashed they can only push their agenda by any means. The fact is that I think Trump as a person is a total douchebag. I wouldn’t want to meet him or have anything to do with him. However, his policies are sound and exactly what America needs. I don’t love Trump and hate Democrats, I love America and hate anyone who wants to destroy it with lies like there are more than 2 genders, or fostering mental illness in children by telling them they’re in the wrong bodies, or continuing to support a proxy war against Russia, or want SpaceX to hire illegal immigrants, or want to lock down our country over a fake virus, or want to raise taxes for an imaginary climate change grift, or want to spend our way into losing reserve currency status, or want to let illegals into our country without going through the proper channels, etc.

I don’t hate liberals, I hate stupidity. Although I can see how the two can be confused.

New York Times is reporting a quote from Giannis Antetokounmpo where he alludes to signing with a new team for the first time ever. Definitely trouble for the Bucks. He’s going to play for them this year, but to me it sounds like he’s preparing them for a departure after the season. If he goes to the Warriors and pairs with Curry, it will be the greatest team ever built.
2269  Other / Meta / Re: We can not discuss if 'ChipMixer is a honeypot or not' outside their own thread? on: August 24, 2023, 06:12:46 PM
How does that justify YOUR behavior?

If I had done something wrong I would have to justify my behaviour.  Aside from vague posturing, you haven't stated exactly what it is I should be justifying.  Yes, I have a signature for a mixer, so what?  I believe privacy is a fundamental right and I will support that right wherever I deem it appropriate to do so.

There's no "story" here.  You pocketed airdrops from coins that did not belong to you.  You're damn lucky theymos didn't particularly care about those assets.  Personally, I'd have had you charged with theft if this were my forum.  So get off your damn high horse and learn to live with the fact that some of us think you're scum.  You brought it upon yourself, so don't cry to us about it.

You are promoting money laundering. If the organization you are promoting does any real volume, they will be closed down and their founders arrested. That is what you’re promoting.

As for your accusations, I did nothing wrong. I can use my private keys however I want and I lived up to my end of the treasury agreement perfectly. The person who didn’t was theymos, who went years without paying me and then didn’t compensate me for the forked coins I missed out on while I gave him the forked coins I didn’t have to according to our agreement, but who cares about reality right?
2270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy BNB now? on: August 24, 2023, 06:09:04 PM
The only reasons to buy BNB now is if you want to help keep Binance from going under, or you want to help stop Bitcoin’s decrease in value by helping Binance keep BNB’s price afloat so they stop dumping (possibly customer owned) Bitcoin on the market. If you’re investing in BTC for profit, the odds are rather high that you will lose all your money, so be aware of the risk you’re taking on.

Sorry it took so long.

Nice video. It’s always funny seeing users from here mentioned in a YouTube video. I can’t say I’m all that interested in the Bitcointalk awards, but I wouldn’t have had any idea who the winners were without watching this, so thank you. I always enjoy your videos and hope to see them more frequently in the future.

https://techcrunch.com/2023/08/23/two-founders-behind-russian-crypto-mixer-tornado-cash-charged-by-u-s-federal-courts/

Another USA money laundering charge against a mixer.

Now Bitcointalk is a USA based website

and I still see many ads for mixers on the website.

So from me a former I.R.S. employee

if you are a U.S.A. based person avoid mixers.

As they paint a target on your back.

I can not make it any clearer than this. I would if I knew how but I hope that this is clear enough.

Thank you for having the balls to even post this philipma. I’ll co-sign it so the trolls can target me instead, but your opinion is clearly that of common sense. I’m sure it’s how a vast majority of this forum feels as well, but retaliation here is real and most people don’t want to be involved in the drama. Especially when those defending money laundering here are paid well to do so, while average users are not. It just isn’t worth the fight. Luckily, I love sticking my dick in the hornet’s nest.
2273  Other / Meta / Re: We can not discuss if 'ChipMixer is a honeypot or not' outside their own thread? on: August 24, 2023, 05:07:14 PM
That’s called corruption in the real world. Here they call it decentralization. I call it lazy management.

The needle on your moral compass is influenced pretty heavily by all of that hot air coming out of your mouth, isn't it?

Misappropriation of forum funds?  Og claims not corruption.
Calling out OgNasty on his bullshit?  Og claims corruption.

Yeah, that makes total sense.   Roll Eyes

I never misappropriated forum funds. That’s ridiculous. The blockchain exists for a reason and you can clearly look and see at the public address I held the funds that they were never touched. This is exactly what I’m talking about. People make up stories and then others believe it without doing any research because the corrupt people spouting lies are assumed to be honest. They aren’t. They’re compromised corrupt individuals that would risk taking down this entire forum to promote money laundering here for money. No need to cast lies at me to deflect from their bad behavior.

No surprise that you’re advertising money laundering in your signature… As are others defending their illegal advertising on this thread by taking shots at me. Why deflect? How does that justify YOUR behavior?
2274  Other / Off-topic / Re: Meta breaks privacy rules... AGAIN on: August 24, 2023, 05:03:18 PM
Obviously farming your data is what Meta does. It’s been said a million times that Facebook uses the user as the product. Even if Facebook wasn’t the one stealing your data, they’re surely collecting it and that means there’s the chance someone else can hack that information. I’m not sure what the solution is in a time when people no longer value their privacy, so I guess the best thing to do is probably just not participate.
2275  Economy / Speculation / Re: Challenging the lows, 25.5k and lower possible break here on: August 24, 2023, 04:55:23 PM
Zooming out on the chart and not being familiar with the causes for the previous dumps, I would say it looks like a visit to $16K is in the books for the future. I think that’s what is scaring away buyers at the moment. However, I don’t think that’s true, but I wouldn’t want to be a trader right now. For long term holders though, this should be viewed as a good time for dollar cost averaging.
2276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 24, 2023, 04:53:09 PM
^ I have my doubts that Zion will ever be able to play a full 82 game season. He’s just too big to be a professional basketball player. The speed and strength of this guy almost ensures an injury. Healthy, he’s the most dominant player the NBA has seen since Shaq, and more athletic than a young LeBron.
Well, we might truly see a repetition of what has happened to him for several seasons having an injury. But boy, I've seen the recent photos of him and he's got more buff. I guess it's time for him to invest in how to maintain his body but not compromise his performance just as Lebron takes care of his body.

If they did figure out how to keep him healthy for the rest of his career, he would no doubt be one of the best to ever do it.
This is without any doubt. We do recognize how good and full package he is.

He truly is a destructive power in the center which makes him even more dangerous, and he can be a menace at times too. It's just unfortunate that he cannot play that much in the league in the past few seasons that he's been in because of the injuries that he acquired that seems not going away from him. And to make things worse, he keeps on getting a season threatening injury when the season is approaching its end, meaning the team badly needs him during those times but he cannot do anything but to see in the sidelines cheering for his team.

I think the last two seasons in a row he was pretty much healed as the playoffs rolled around. Both times he chose not to play. I think probably 95% of players in his position would’ve chose to play the end of both those seasons, but not Zion. He doesn’t have that Mamba Mentality. He’s a beast though and it’s a good thing he’s being careful. Maybe he’ll figure out the injury stuff this year. We’ll see.
2277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much it cost to most ALL internet with your casino advertisement? $6.2m/d on: August 24, 2023, 04:50:36 PM
I wonder how much it would cost for partnering with streamers on Kick to promote a gambling platform. They get certain contracts from what I understand but I'm not sure if casinos or igaming are allowed to deal with them directly since Kick is basically run by the owner of Stake.

Kick is the rival of Twitch in case you didn't know. A lot of streamers migrated there when they were banned on Twitch.

It probably depends on the streamer. I’m sure people with below 10 viewers would probably promote whatever you wanted them to for the cost of a $5 subscription. Im not sure you’d get much with your advertisement though. The big boys with thousands of viewers would probably charge you 5 figures just for a shoutout…

Just take a look at Elon sitting in the production model of the Cybertruck.

It’s pretty cool to think this will be his daily driver vehicle. The richest man in the world driving the same vehicle as us mere mortals. I wonder how much longer it will be before we can select options and all that. I’m curious if solar panels will be offered or how much the CyberQuad will cost.
2279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 24, 2023, 08:44:47 AM
They may try load management just like what the Clippers is doing with Kawhi, but again there's no escaping injuries once it hit you.
New Orleans fans are getting restless, he needs to be better this season.
The best thing to do if they want to limit the possibility of Zion getting injured again is to take that load management thing. If the Raptors were successful with the load management they applied to Leonard, I see no reason why the Pelicans wouldn't be able to do the same. The good thing about the Pelicans is that even without Zion, they can still make the playoffs. This is a relief, as they can choose to let Zion focus on the playoffs.

However, fans might not like this load management approach, as they come to see their favorite players on the court. Zion is the team's best player, so it might disappoint some fans. Nevertheless, business is business, and the team needs to focus on what's best for the overall team.

That's the downside, as fans often complain about load management. Some buy tickets well in advance, yet they might not know if a specific player will participate due to announcements being made as little as 24 hours before the game or even at game time. However, if we are following NBA, we would know that it exist, so as long as the NBA doesn't implement rules regarding this, teams are within their rights to utilize load management to safeguard the health of their players, particularly those prone to injury.

I think the problem is that players have gotten so much bigger and stronger over the years that injuries are just more likely. The obvious solution would be to have less games but that would mean less money and a nightmare for career stats. That’s why I understand load management. Players like Kobe or LeBron who are going for their legacy will always be out there if they can.

Tesla’s site now lists the option to redeem tickets for the Cybertruck delivery event in Austin, Texas. In order to qualify you must have 30,000 credits, which is equal to three Tesla referrals. Unfortunately, I haven’t referred 3 people to buy Teslas so I won’t be able to attend. A shame as I would have loved to been there. Anybody want to buy 3 Teslas?
