301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 03, 2023, 07:04:26 PM
All that said, the vulnerability for England was their bowling, and not any other department. Even Archer bowled poorly in the first match, when he conceded 81 runs from his 10 overs. No one among the England bowlers performed in a consistent manner.
Agreed. England have so many amazing batsmen, but they have very few amazing bowlers these days which is why they are dominating all the formats like before. They need consistent bowlers like Broad, Anderson etc in their squad.

This is why I feel that their chances of winning the upcoming ODI World Cup are lower when compared to teams like Australia, India etc.
The consistency in the play is found with few batsmen and the same is missing completely with the bowlers. Even with Australia and India same is the scenario. During the days of McGrath we can  say he'll break the early wickets and the match easier for them to win. Nowadays that isn't assured by any of the bowlers from Australia. Also ODI is different from T20, so win out of fluke shots won't be possible much.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Up to what discount are you giving up for your customers? on: February 03, 2023, 02:02:49 PM
We're at the beginning days of more and more stores and businesses accepting bitcoin. By the time, to grab more attention providing discounts will be better. I'm not into any sort of business to accept bitcoin, my suggestion as a common man for the businesses accepting bitcoin is to bear the transaction fee. Just a suggestion, as more payment gateways provide no fee transactions. Maybe for the transaction cost users might avoid using bitcoin.
303  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Web Browsers begun to have inbuilt Cryptocurrency Wallets on: February 03, 2023, 06:21:29 AM
It looks like every web browser is trying to provide all in one application. This isn't necessary, because browser is meant for different purpose and there is no need for a wallet to be developed within it. With time more and more web browsers will provide similar services. Being a reputed platform some might show interest in using these services.

With brave something like brave tokens can be got for what we've browsed or something likewise. The same brave tokens can he tipped. Maybe something similar could make opera users show interest in collecting those tokens.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 02, 2023, 10:56:20 AM
England were able to save their face after struggling in the last two matches. As usual the English batted very well but the real reason they won the match was because of Archer. 6 wicket for just 40 runs is an incredible achievement after coming back from an injury. I hope he stays fit throughout this year and especially in the ODIWC. He is the only bowler that the English have who can easily snatch away the game from the opponent team.
Jofra Archer took 6 wickets and all important ones at right and crucial time and because of his smashing balling England won their 3rd ODI.  South Africa was good throughout the series and if Archer didn't took thier wickets SA would have won last ODI too.
Jofra Archer back to the form have helped England win the match, if not this could've been a winning match for South Africa.  I expected Jofra Archer to be presented with the man of the match for his 40/6 bowling 9.1 overs. Fortunately the man of the  match is given to Jos Butler.

So I do not see a lot of chatting going on about the coming ICC Women's Cricket World Cup? It is scheduled to be held in South Africa, from 10 to 26 February 2023.  The tournament had been moved from its original date at the end of 2022 to February 2023 due to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

What is your predictions for this Women's Cricket World Cup and do you think the host country will have a higher chance of winning, seeing that it is going to be in front of their home crowd?
South Africa being in the home ground will have higher chance. More teams in good form makes the tournament more interesting. I'm waiting for today's T20 match between India Women and South Africa Women. Even this match outcome will help in predicting the better team on the Women's World Cup.
306  Economy / Economics / Re: Success is fundamentally determined by luck, not effort. on: January 31, 2023, 11:20:13 PM
Until the wise man takes off his shoes; the madman crosses the stream.

The first and most important requirement to be successful is to make an effort; luck follows effort in second place. If you make an effort, luck will find you easier. But in the absence of effort, it would be useless if you had the chance of the whole world.

We need to give the efforts and the same makes us get closer to luck. When we don't give the best and expect luck to favour us, it is the mistake. There are people who make themselves high out of luck. Those are one in hundred and everyone can't be the same. When we work hard, we'll be rewarded amidst the luck. When we just look for the luck without working hard we'll experience failure.
307  Economy / Speculation / Re: does the increasing number of altcoins have a negative impact on the price btc on: January 31, 2023, 10:25:31 PM
Increasing number of altcoins won't disturb the market of bitcoin. Bitcoin have got its user base and rest will be on altcoins. Lets have a simple calculation, if 80% of people use bitcoin, the same counts when there exists a new altcoin. This falls under the remaining 20% which is the altcoins users. Now among the 20% little turns towards the new altcoins. This is how it works and the same might have small impact on altcoins and not on bitcoin.
308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 31, 2023, 07:45:00 PM
In one of the matches of BPL, Khulna Tigers were playing against Comilla Victorians. Good score of 210 runs have come out of Khulna Tigers with Tamim Iqbal scoring 95 runs and Shai Hope, Barbadian cricketer have scored 91* runs. Both have missed the century by a small margin. For Comilla Victorians scoring have started good. Litton Das who is a star cricketer of the team have gone to the pavilion retired hurt. By the end of three overs CV have reached 24 runs losing the wicket of Kayes.

Khulna were defeated today despite giving a huge target of 211. This was a very unexpected result. Mohammad Rizwan scored 73 runs in 39 balls and Johnson Charles scored 107 runs in 56 balls for Comilla team. And because of the excellent performance of these two batsmen, the Comilla team reached the target of victory in just 18.2 overs. Khulna team would not have been defeated after giving such a big target if the Khulna bowlers could have bowled with some responsibility.
Great chase from the Comilla Victorians. We can't blame the bowlers, because there is similarity between both the innings. Khulna Tigers have lost just 2 wickets and Comilla Victorians have lost 3 wickets while reaching the target. This shows the pitch is good for batting and not for bowling. In these kind of pitches, it is very difficult for the bowlers.
309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: January 31, 2023, 07:40:58 PM
Seems a long way away but it’ll likely fly by & we’ll be here before we know it. Too early to start predicting who will in it, Messi won’t be playing nor Ronaldo. So much can happen in football in that amount of time. The US actually have a good, young team. They could surprise a few people with home advantage.
France will be there, Mbappe should be in his peak, Spain have some real stars too.
I won’t make any solid predictions though.

You just said it yourself mate, it's still too premature to say anything towards the upcoming FIFA World Cup this 2026 and saying that Messi nor CR7 not playing is still a speculation as both superstars haven't hung their boots/cleats yet. Although, there's been a wide rumor already that CR7's last dance is in Euro 2024 but that will remain a mere speculation as of now because people are still believing that both superstar will still play in the FIFA as it will heavily boost their comrades confidence especially Messi as they are the defending champs.
Until some official announcement come, these are mere speculation. Based on the age we people itself have concluded that both won't play in the FIFA World Cup 2026. Ronaldo have moved to Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr on two year contract. His plan is to develop good football around the world and now he's concentrating on the Asian countries which is why he left Manchester United and joined Al Nassr. Lets wait if anything comes official.
310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 31, 2023, 07:29:30 PM
Yeh england bowler show himself little bit weak in this ODI as compared to African bowler, and the reason is that they unable to put pressure on them by taking early on wicket in starting overs, just like the African bowler did in starting over.
they dismissed the top order batter of England in early stages and didn't allow them to build a partnership, as a result they play under pressure in entire match but thanks to hareey brook  and Jos Buttler who some how mange to score and put his team away from danger.
I was surprised to see South Africa win comfortably against England despite the English posting a relatively high score thanks to Buttler and Brook as you mentioned. Almost all of the RSA batsmen played well.

Miller is in his prime at the moment primarily thanks to his excellent performance in last year's IPL.

It was easy win for South Africa in both matches. The best thing for South Africa is that there top order is performing and this will help them in upcoming ODI world cup. The ODI world cup will be in India and we know there are mostly batting tracks India. Any team with good batting lineup will defiantly have an edge over one who don't have strong one. South Africa haven't won T20 or ODI world cup despite the fact they have a strong team from day one.

Ok so finally we will be having the 3rd and the last one day match between the two teams tomorrow at Kimberley.

What do we expect of tomorrow's match. Although South Africa have won the series but they should try to white wash England and keep their winning streak. I think if South Africa can win this last ODI, it will be a big set back and upset for the England team.
In the previous ODI nothing favoured England even though they were able to make a good target. The opening order performance is big support for South Africa team. South Africa will surely try to keep its winning streak continue, on the other side England will surely try to have atleast a win. South Africa playing on the much used ground will be a favourable factor. Lets see what happens, as both the teams are almost equal in strength.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin Dead ? on: January 30, 2023, 11:39:55 PM
Dogecoin's journey is still very long and remember Dogecoin's Holders have spread all over the world,
so Doge is not a coin that is only held by the developer but everyone holds this coin and makes Doge really very strong in terms of community and of course fundamental,
so who anyone who says that dogecoin is dead of course it is FUD.
If Elon Musk's influence hadn't been so strong, Dogecoin would have been extinct long ago.
The OP asks this question due to the fact that, for obvious reasons, no real cryptocurrency investors take meme coins seriously as an investment, which has led to all meme coins literally dying during a bearish market and then reviving during the bullish market.
That's wrong. When did Elon Musk had pumped the market of dogecoin. It is just years back. Dogecoin is one among the earliest in the market and even before the pumping from Elon Musk's influence dogecoin have provided with good rate of interest for the investors. Even now the market of dogecoin still stands strong. Dogecoin won't be dead just because there is no growth as expected.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Get Bitcoin Holdings for your child from infant. on: January 30, 2023, 11:36:56 PM
Rather than investing into one form, it is good to have multiple investment. In simple terms just don't go for investment on properties alone. Some used to do that, same as that don't invest on cryptocurrency alone. Have diversified investment as we've got more choices. Because, we don't know how the market turns. According to the prevailing situation we can make use of the investment than just experiencing loss when we're in need.
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CEX deserves all criticism but not the hate on: January 30, 2023, 11:33:49 PM
I agree with the OP, in as much as we criticize Centralized exchanges for several of their issues like lack of transparency and the likes, we still should not hate CEX, CEX have indeed contributed greatly to the adoption of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in our societies, like its said, everything, even the good all have their pros and cons, and as we castigate CEXs for the roles they played in some or most of the major issues the cryptocurrency market in general have experienced over the years, we should not also fail to commend them for their effort in taking crypto to several people in the world .
CEX have played major role in the spread about cryptocurrencies. In specific only through CEX more number of people who hadn't got much knowledge about cryptocurrencies and technical skills have turned to be the part of cryptocurrency network. Often we used to see problems out of the CEX, for that we can't come to conclusion it isn't necessary for the cryptomarket.
314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So far so good with Bitcoin adoption on my side but I have question on: January 30, 2023, 12:00:27 PM
You've took six consecutive weeks to educate the people about bitcoin. From the very first day onwards surely you could've shown them about the price. Over time surely they might've noticed the price variation. This could've made them understand better about the fluctuation of the market. This can be bullish/bearish. So, ask them to go for very little amount based on their understanding and further increase depending on the market.
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador Authorities Extend Bitcoin Adoption to Other countries on: January 30, 2023, 11:53:59 AM
El Salvador have got big plan and they've taken courageous decision with the adoption of bitcoin as legal tender. Many countries fear of the decision and criticised El Salvador. They were strong on their stand, amidst all criticism and opposition it keeps adding more things relative to bitcoin. Already most of the Western nations were not against cryptocurrency, and most have announced their legal stand on bitcoin usage. Now El Salvador extending the service will make more countries announce the legality on the usage of bitcoin.
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 30, 2023, 11:47:14 AM
Cricket is getting more and more business yet the level of associate nations is not improving thats because ICC is giving huge money to big boards who already have huge funds. Countries like Nepal, Afghanistan need more of ICC funding since they are not much rich and yet they have passion for cricket. ICC is developing already developed boards.

Sometimes only funds cannot develop the game. You need passion in yourself to develop the system and game as well. There are other rich countries as well who don't play cricket on international level. Take USA For example, They play cricket but do you know their ranking? I believe you don't know. So, Only money cannot build the cricket. About afghanistand and Nepal, Yes. Those country deserve more attention from the ICC.
Only finance will not develop cricket at the same time it is impossible without finance. Some countries may even remove their names from cricket if ICC stops paying. At present only a few countries are involved in cricket. Stopping funding for some countries could also reduce interest in the cricket as well as local people can focus on other things instead of cricket. In this regard ICC should carefully observe which countries should increase money and which should decrease. The ICC should re-evaluate or review these matters from an impartial view.
Supporting the teams that aren't financial good is the right thing an authority should do. Here ICC does it in the right way funding 92 Associate Members (Countries). The funding strategy is simple as better the member on the field performance higher will be the funding received. To what extent this is happening in the right way isn't known to the world. If everything is happening as they've mentioned then it is fair, if not re-evaluation is necessary.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 30, 2023, 09:45:33 AM
After successfully wining the T20WC it seems the English side doesn't want to do the same for ODIWC. This teams performance in ODI has been going from bad to worst. I understand that South Africa has the home advantage but after scoring 342 runs if the English bowlers are not able to defend this total then their is a big problem that needs to be looked into.
It was unbelievable to me that England would lose this match after setting a big target of 342 runs. After watching England's innings, I assumed that England will win this match. But at the end of the match I was quite surprised to see the result. Except for Olly Stone and Sam Curran, every bowler in England scored a lot of runs. We expected a better performance from an experienced team like England. Although the batsmen have performed their duties well, the bowlers need to improve their performance.
Yes match surprised me too. South Africa played really well. Temba has made century and made 109 runs for 102 balls.
England bowling was bad in this match or we can say that South Africa was looking strong both are correct statements. We can see Adil Rashid gave 72 runs on 60 balls and out two players of South Africa.
The target was really good but South Africa chased it in 49.1 overs and gave 5 wickets. That was a great match.

From the beginning of the innings, the South African batsmen batted responsibly. The pitch was completely batting friendly. So the South African players don't have to face much trouble to score runs. Especially Temba Bavuma and Dawid Miller's innings made the road to victory easier for the two South African teams. Also, there is no way to say that any of the team's batsmen performed poorly. Every batsman tried his best to perform well. And every batsman has a role to play in the team's victory. If every player in the team is able to perform well, even if the target is big, victory can be achieved.
Mostly Bavuma will withstand wicket and then only thinks of scoring. In ODI he used to maintain good average score. In the second ODI he had a marvelous innings scoring 109 runs. The strike rate isn't that high, but the contribution helped the following players have their natural game than pressurising to score runs. When there is contribution from every player, automatically they were able to chase any big target.

319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 30, 2023, 09:18:59 AM
Considering that this was the first U19 women world cup and India being the first women U19 women team to win it. The prize money announced by the BCCI that is INR 5 CR is less compared to what they had paid to the U-19 boys in 2022. I do understand that the U-19 boys have lifted the world cup 5 times in a row but as it was the first for the girls a somewhat similar amount like boys could have been paid. I am pretty sure BCCI never expected the girls would win the world cup and amount of price money announced proves they were not prepared for this win.
I felt happy, atleast the board have announced some rewards for what they've done to the nation. Once after the winning of U-19 Cup by the men's team, they were announced with a prize money of fourty lakhs for individual players and twenty five lakhs for support staffs. The prize money for U-19 women's team too seems to be less. The girls had a good match schedule, which too a reason for lifting the trophy.
320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 29, 2023, 11:59:09 PM
What a day for the Indians. First, the Indian women's U-19 team won the World Cup comprehensively. Second, the Indian men's team are decimating the New Zealand team in the ongoing second T-20 match.

Almost all Indian bowlers bowled well to be honest while the New Zealand batsmen performed like crap. Looks like the final T-20 will be the decider.
Just as yesterday was a very happy day for India, it was also a very sad day for England. Yesterday England men's cricket team lost against South Africa despite a very good performance in ODI, while England U19 women's cricket team lost against India in Women's T20 world cup 2023.  India defeated New Zealand by 6 wickets yesterday to level the 3-match T20 series at 1-1.
Losing a match does not make England a bad team.
That was a bad day though - but England team is a wonderful team - The men's team - they are already T20 and world cup winner.
The team need to win, just losing makes it a bad day for them. They need to understand and make further decisions to win matches. The present England team have got good players. Unexpected results comes out of every game, this time it had happened with the match between England and South Africa. The Women's team had to make themselves better, because the game have taken place in similar pitch condition of England.
