301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CEO of Bank of America: “We Want a Cashless Society” on: June 21, 2019, 02:50:26 PM
Banks cannot eliminate the existence of cryptocurrencies and the more they are being regulated doesn’t show a single sign that crypto will go to extinction, what is happening is the opposite so if something they hate cannot be terminated then they must think of ways to go with it and benefit from it.
302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao Stands as Underdog vs Thurman — Sportsbooks on: June 20, 2019, 09:40:44 PM
Getting your point OP, in terms of age gap Thurman maybe much quicker than Pacquiao there's no doubt about that this can be the factor why sportsbooks
based their bookies odds, but it can also be a trapped for people to play with thurman as experienced and determinations can still be with Pacquiao, knowing how he loves fighting for the glory of his countrymen, be very careful not being tricked analyze more deeper before betting.

Thurman is indeed young, quick and undefeated but pacquiao is a legend when in comes to boxing so he can still be a strong opponent to Thurman. I think it too early to predict that Pacquiao is an underdog because I know he prepared enough for this match.
I still go for Pacquiao. Aside from his credibility being a legend in boxing, the fact that he is older than his opponent does not emphasize a disadvantage in his part. The length of his career means a lot, it means, tactics, techniques, strategies, wisdom, strength etc. his past successes say it all compared to someone who has not even passed through half of what Pacman has been through.
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Libra never mentioned "Bitcoin" in Whitepaper on: June 20, 2019, 09:27:24 PM

Its still mentioned here https://developers.libra.org/docs/assets/papers/the-libra-blockchain.pdf just as BitcoinFX  said.

I'm sure they will consider BTC to be a rival after all they still can be considered an altcoin. Its becoming clear that Libra is more like of ETH, same platform idea. FAcebook however have all the advantage here.
If they consider bitcoin to be a rival, its just natural they don’t mention it in their whitepaper and other promotional materials. That would be a nice try for them to compete with bitcoin, lets see up to what extent they will be able to match with bitcoin, anyway if Libra is carried by the largest social network in the whole world then why not.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Basic education for any Citizen on: June 20, 2019, 09:16:05 PM
I agree with your idea but I think a subject to be added to the whole curriculum in high school maybe. Nursery and elementary are just focusing on basic knowledge and blockchain would to deep for them when all they need to know are just the basic foundations. But really a good idea since blockchain will be the future so it is a must that everyone knows how it is used and how it works..
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency are gonna disappear on: June 20, 2019, 08:53:45 PM
"Cryptocurrency will go to nothing but blockchain will survive" - Jim Rodgers.

Link to the article: https://goldsilverbitcoin.com/jim-rogers-bitcoin-blockchain-cryptocurrency/
I don’t think so. I believe that as long as blockchain is there cryptocurrency will never cease. Let us not forget that blockchain was first intended for crypto and for whatever reason Jim Rodgers predicted it to happen it will not, because whether old cryptocurrencies die or not there will always be new ideas that will come out.
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best tips for who will invest in BTC for first time? on: June 20, 2019, 08:46:10 PM

PS:. I have already prepared my mindset, and I am only investing a money that if I lose it will not hurt me.

This answers to your questions bud. If you’ve already prepared your mind on it then you can go for it no matter what discouragement you may encounter. Remember that with all the decisions you make whether you succeed or fail, you take full responsibility over it. And you are right spend only money that you can afford to lose.
307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone try to beat the household? on: June 16, 2019, 05:48:25 PM
But never work!!
It is true. It will never work, because whether you lose or win the house profits and it doesn’t care anyway who wins and who loses because in both outcome they never lose profit. We can logically think the reason why they exist and hold this platform, that is not to make everyone happy and enjoy but to make themselves profit.
308  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Do you expect/want to make a lot of money without much effort? on: June 16, 2019, 05:39:45 PM
The question is simple, but the answer is not IMO. Do you expect/want to make a lot of money without much effort? Related topic: Do you know/care that extreme satisfaction can come from sustained effort and worthwhile goals?
Everyone wants easy money, no wonder why there are scammers, thieves and illegal activities that gain easy money.

Do you know/care that extreme satisfaction can come from sustained effort and worthwhile goals?
This is true, and the saying that says “easily gained is easily lost” also applies. I can imagine how many rich kids I know that have just inherited their money from their parents are not happy enough compared to those  average individuals that are working hard to earn money. There is much happiness and satisfaction in hard-earned money and material things than what we can acquire freely.
309  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Who Controls your Crypto Funds after Death? on: June 16, 2019, 05:30:20 PM
It still depends on what kind of death we will be dying. If it will be unexpected death then i better do something about it while i still realized i have time but if it will be a slow death, and who knows it will be  Grin? I can still make everything arranged. To prepare for a sudden death, i would probably leave some notes for my spouse in the vault regarding my holdings and they will surely find out about it after my burial when they will need to dispatch all of my belongings.
310  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Liberty on: June 16, 2019, 05:21:40 PM

What is the most freedom you can give someone? the right to vote on issues in their nation, the right to have their voice heard. The right to say where their tax dollars go. The right to earn a honest money supply, One created by the people for the people.
These freedom are commonly enjoyed in free countries but I am thinking of countries where people could not even speak their mind, enjoy the fruit of their labor, go to places they want to go and choose the type of job they want. People who are in slavery. I could hardly imagine how sad and hard could it be for them since I am enjoying freedom and have no idea how it feels to be bound hand and foot.
311  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Scams are a global issue on: June 16, 2019, 10:21:51 AM
Now that crypto is allowing us to transact globally I am questioning if we are going  to start to see more scams happen between countries. Do we need more compliance companies to step in to help major scams and illegal trafficking?

Full report: https://ciphertrace.com/articles/q1-2019-cryptocurrency-anti-money-laundering-report/
That is why there are more and more countries that are regulating the use of it to avoid the use in black market and save both big investors and small individuals who can be preys to those hungry scammers. Governments are not much affected with this issues so they care less but the moment they see a big potential in adopting it they will issue some safety precautions in making it safe both for people and for them.
312  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you figured out what you are Investing in? on: June 16, 2019, 10:00:25 AM
If we are looking at how the hype in December 2017, there are a lot of irrational buyers, meaning they just throw in money in the market without really understanding what they are doing in the first place. And when the market plummets they started to panic and realised that they have done something which they didn't understand.
Yea. I have friend who heard about bitcoin a long time before it hit 2017 but never did put a single penny to invest in it but when he heard that it reached $20k in 2017 he started to buy and then it started to decline after some time and my friend started to panic about his investment. Until now he is still thinking he will be losing forever his money.
313  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin believers/investors are foolish or low IQ people ? on: June 16, 2019, 09:52:41 AM
How could you address them as a low IQ people if they are making more income compare to a regular wage earner? I am not saying that those people who are regular wage earner are low IQ or what ,But don't you think that they know more that is why they are here and they know the potential of crypto that is why they invested on it? Foolish ? LOW IQ? I don't think so people have been earning more in crypto and it have help so many people to change their life.

An American paid $179,000,000 for a naked painting. Hard earned money goes to useless people because of gambling/ponzi/casino and serious mental illness at high levels.
Average earner people will not spend $179,000,000 for a naked painting, if someone does it is surely an excess of their fortune. They are not low IQ people just because they spent that big. If I have nothing to spend my money with and I have tons, i can go to the sea and feed them to the fish but nobody can define me as low IQ for doing it. We spend money according to our resources. Crypto investors have high IQ according to my opinion, they perceive what normal people do not and because of that a lot of them have been millionaires.
314  Economy / Economics / Re: INDIA: Draft Law Proposes 10-year Jail Term for Dealing in Cryptocurrency on: June 16, 2019, 09:42:56 AM
Sad news for Indian friends who make cryptocurrencies sources of their income. Theres a lot of Indian individuals that are in crypto. I wonder what would be the purpose of their would be Crypto Rupee if they will not eliminate paper Rupee totally. The government must want to clean the country of any other cryptocurrency to circulate before they launch  their own.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to the future on: June 16, 2019, 09:35:57 AM
until now I still consider bitcoin only as an investment. I have not been able to make it a financial transaction tool, I also do not fully understand the blockchain technology that houses bitcoin transactions.
but in the future it may occur even though it is slow but it can happen.
In the future when banks and other financial institutions will be using blockchain, when blockchain technology will be widely used and needed, our misunderstanding and confusions will then be cleared and it will be as easy to us as swallowing food with no hassle. When bitcoin will be adopted worldwide, no one will care anymore if you store bitcoin as an asset or buy coffee and pizza with it or pay a janitor as a tip with it. It will just be flowing smoothly no matter the hindrances are. This will be the future.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Courage for cryptocurrency participants on: June 16, 2019, 09:27:50 AM
In crypto currency it is likely that

You will fall.
You will fail.
You will stumble.
But facts remains that you must always pick yourself up as long as you remember that you are in control of your portfolio and choices

And Nobody else can decide for you because you have

Nobody to blame for wrong decisions except Only you.

Remember Only you have the power to change your options and choices of investment
Your time will come with you prevailing

Thats correct. Every decision you've made is your own doing and the blame is yours and yours alone. No one force you on that decision. In crypto everyone failed and not just one but many times. It doesn't matter how many times you failed but you have to learn from that failure and always do better next time.
And we should not forget that though we carry the risks, we shoulder loses and we alone can make difficult decisions, it will also be us and us alone who will enjoy the benefits when the decision we made turns out to be successful. Nobody should take the credit but us alone.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still investing in ICOs? Let me know! on: June 16, 2019, 09:17:37 AM
The image of ICOs has already been stained and already quite difficult to convince investors to invest specially those who’ve experienced failures in ICOs but still, we can’t deny that there are still reputable and trustworthy projects that conduct ICOs. I still do trust some ICOs but in very rare projects. It depends on my analysis and what my intuition is telling me.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP investment advice required ! on: June 13, 2019, 06:14:58 PM
Hey Everyone !
I was looking around for some interesting projects to invest in, I stumbled on the METM coin.
They are building a V2 of their already working DEX and have released a token creation platform allowing everyone to create their tokens on the ethereum platform.
The actual marketcap is 400k$ so it could be very interesting for a max supply of 180M tokens ...
I spotted two issues with them right now:

1) They are not doing any marketing before releasing the V2 (around end of June)
2) They are traded on mercatox ...

Is it me, or does that look too good to be true ? Any opinion would help, good or bad !
Thanks !

This is only my opinion but it much better for you to put your money on IEO that launched on the big exchange site like binance because that will always creating a promising product.
that sounds good to hear if that platform has created their own product but that will not give a lot of guarantee to the result on its price.
For me, i will invest in a platform that created product and at the same time it can be listed on the big exchange site. Take a look at harmony and it gives more than 1000% return to the early investors.
I agree here. Products created by platform can give a big potential for their token price value to rise unlike any other platform that does not hold anything but only promises and later on investors will be groping in the dark with out knowing what will be the fate of their investments.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The Bitter Truth about Bounties on: June 13, 2019, 06:10:17 PM
How many of you bounty hunters are actually making up to 500$ per project after months of promoting the bounty project this year? I heard that those who make thousands of $$$$ in 2017/ early 2018 are fortunate because of the bullrun ,so thus that means if no bullrun all bounties won't bring huge profits???

Let's talk about bounties that are not looking for funds like ICO and IEO ,they are always better and you don't need to wait forever to get your tokens,I like promoting already listed coins or tokens ,it's gives better rest of mind
Bitter truth. Bounties used to be profitable but now, only the one with strong determination will survive. Will not even be able to feed you if you will just depend on your profit from it. Most of the time bounty hunters if not paid are being scammed or have participated in a wrong project.
Quote
,so thus that means if no bullrun all bounties won't bring huge profits???
Its not because of no bull run but somehow yes because most of the coins we get from bounties and being exchanged to bitcoin or ethereum and if the two do not have good value, our coins will not get good profit too.
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can someone explain to me the motive behind airdrops? on: June 13, 2019, 06:01:42 PM
I'm still wondering why developers will organize airdrops and distribute an amount of tokens which is far lesser than the minimum amount of the tokens that can be deposited on an exchange for trading. If you don't want the users to cash out the money, why do you let them waste their time?
Let’s not forget that reason they do it for their own benefit and not the participators. Why would they care if participants get only cents from the tasks they ask them to do? Participants should think, calculate how much they could get and the time and effort they need to give and its up to them if it is worth it then let them be if not let them not. Airdrop is promotion.
