Jeeze. I go to the store and come back to dumpzilla.
Looks like a panic. Any news?

Instead of giving away 0.01 BTC when we hit 25K how about you just admit you were wrong and stop trolling? That has to be worth it isn’t it?

A splendid good morning ladies and genitalmen of Bitcoinland. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DB2alPmdawI see we've had yet another ATH while I was getting the rest of my beauty sleep... currently $11764USD/$14923CAD (Bitcoinaverage). Old coins total $13710USD/$17392CAD each (Coinmarketcap). Hopefully quadruple digits are a thing of the past now. Onward and upward. Go Bitcoin go. Proudhon is Satoshi keeping us on our toes ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Lulz. For him to toss a g-note like he was throwing a penny in a beggar's cup, I can only imagine how much his real Bitcoin stash earned him this past week.

New ATH at Stamp. That didn't take too long after the correction from $1.14k to $9k.
|
|
|
Another jackpot, a couple more milestones... 9k GBP and 1.2m JPY.
Go Bitcoin go.
|
|
|
So has anyone here actually treated themselves to anything after passing an arbitrary milestone?
I can't spend on my 1 BTC i want it intact. When i get money from other things then i'll splash out on some garlic bread because i'm on a power save for my trip to asia ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) When I made my first Bitcoin $1mCAD, I splurged and bought myself a nice little Gallen-Kreuger bass amp. Cost me about $1.2kCAD. I bought it with dollars though. There's no way I'm parting with even a single satoshi unnecessarily. I personally think John Macafee's dick is safe.

Yeah it's pretty quiet. Yawn.....
During the rally past $10k this place was so busy it was like there was a dDOS attack. You'd have to hit refresh a dozen times just to get a message that there were a dozen new posts while you were posting. By the time your post made it through, it was already obsolete. Now there's an hour between posts? Yawn.

I live in a relatively prosperous western country (Canada) so I can only comment on what I see here in Toronto regarding 3rd world Bitcoiners.
In my own experience, when I go to purchase bitcoins at local ATMs, there are sometimes lineups of people waiting to use the machine. This was more common in the past when there were fewer BTC ATMs.
Quite often these people were from obvious ethnic minorities, visibly and linguistically. Many of them were purchasing small amounts of Bitcoin (<$200), scanning paper QR codes rather than using phones or having the ATM generate paper wallets.
It made me wonder if they were immigrants sending part of their paychecks directly to their families in their native countries. This method would be much faster and cheaper than any other way to send money home. Even with today's spam-inflated transfer fees, it is a lot cheaper than Western Union, Paypal or any bank and is a lot faster than waiting several banking days.
Many people here are so into speculation that they seem to forget that there are other real-world uses for Bitcoin besides speculation and retail purchases.
This is just my personal observation.

Good morning Bitcoinland.
We seem to have consolidation around $11k... currently $10966USD/$13916CAD (Bitcoinaverage).
Old coins are worth a total of $12714USD/$16134CAD each (Coinmarketcap).
A couple of days at this level wouldn't hurt before heading to new ATHs. Then again, continued upward movement and a new ATH this weekend would be nice too.
At least we're still in 5 digits. If the dip from $11.4k down to $9k was the big correction we all expected after crossing the $10k barrier, we're not doing too badly.
Go Bitcoin go.

I know what a Mintchip is. I don't know what a Harper is. Sounds lovely.
Stephen Harper, our last prime minister, a total toady to the banks and transnational corporations. ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif)

They already gave up on Mintchip. I wonder what's different this time.
Good question. Wasn't Mintchip during the Harper regime?

Well good morning Bitcoinland.
Nice to see we're back up over $10k again, hopefully to stay... currently $10601USD/$13502CAD (Bitcoinaverage).
Old coins total $12348USD/$15745CAD each (Coinmarketcap).
Let's get over $11k and then we can think about ATHs again.
Go Bitcoin go.
Shhh! We're being monitored by the president. Let's try to act like nothing is happening. I don't have a president. However I do have a prime minister considering a CBDC (central bank digital currency). http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/bank-canada-digital-currency-1.4426580Those wily Rothschildren are at it again. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

benjamin?
u mean a "brown bill"
Actually, I refer to them as "brownies". I was trying to be international. After all, this is the BTC/USD Wall Observer. I suppose if people can post about B-cash and B-gold I can mention brownies. Actually I prefer A-cash and A-gold, short for Altcoin Cash and Altcoin Gold. Neither one has anything to do with real Bitcoin, They're just trying to steal the name.

Comfortably over $10K going into 2018 I can foresee. $100,000 by the summer and $1,000,000 after the next halving in 2020 sounds totally unrealistic. I think one of the problems at this point is that even those that hold lots of cash let alone those on the breadline are totally unaware you can buy a fraction of a coin.
But I'd happily be proven wrong.
she thought that she had to buy in increments of a whole bitcoinThat's really common - at least two of my friends have said to me "oh, I can't afford to buy btc now because it's over $10,000" It's better to start off by talking about satoshis. ___ "What are those charts you're always looking at?" "I'm checking the price of satoshis." "What are satoshis?" "A satoshi is a hundred millionth of a bitcoin." "What's a bitcoin?" ___ Then they start with the idea that satoshis are the basic units. ___ "What do satoshis cost?" "You can buy a million of them for only $100." "Wow. I can afford that. I can be a satoshi millionaire for only a benjamin?" "Yep." ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I guess it's more like it's flying into the sun because it's going to get regulated to death.
Individual governments can only regulate exchanges, payment processors, etc. They can't regulate Bitcoin.
