Did someone else notice a new token credited to your wave account like an airdop that's called Surge Surge, whats' that it seems to have a good price on it but now way to sell ))
Surge is a scam-token. It was discussed in this thread already. The scam works this way: You get some coins for free. When you want to sell them, it says you have not enough coins to sell and requires you to buy more (from the sell order of the scammer). When you buy the amount to meet the sale threshold, then it says that you need to sell it for a minimum price. But nobody offers that minimum price so you are not able to sell at all.

NOTE: If you're expecting a movie about the real roots/stories concerning bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, you're going to be disappointed. This movie is just a sort of thriller movie concerning money laundering and other crimes using cryptocurrencies.
Who watches the trailer understands quickly that it is a thriller where crypto currencies play a role. I don't think this will gain much attention. However, for the people who will watch this (who doesn't really know or have the knowledge about crypto) might see and think negatively about crypto because of the plot and how crypto is being used in the movie.
I agree with you. Alone for the reason that it only runs in selected cinemas. Nonetheless, it is a good start for more attention. Not too long ago, Bitcoin and crypto currencies was only for criminals and no "reputable" company wanted to have something to do with it. Now it finally has arrived in the mainstream.

I have read some books on the subject. The problem is that most of the books are written by nerds and professionals and they are accordingly technical and not easy to understand. If you are looking for information specifically for beginners, I would recommend blog articles to you. Many of them are written by semi-professionals and thus, they are much better to understand or are written in simple language. As soon as you understand the topic better I would recommend you the books of Andreas M. Antonopoulos. His book Mastering Bitcoin is available for free on Github.

The word cryptocurrency is now being used for every digital coin, though, like the JPMorgan or Facebook coin, it will be a central coin that may be a bit decentralized, but wherever a specific intervention is possible if needed. From a regulatory point of view, a bank or a payment service provider like Vista will never be able to rely completely on a "real" decentralized cryptocurrency.

U.a. spielen Stars wie Kurt Russell, Luke Helmsworth and Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls) mit.

Andrew Yang is the Bitcoin-Friendly U.S. 2020 Presidential CandidateWith the exception of Wyoming and a handful of other states, blockchain regulation in the U.S. has been disappointing at best. Yet, there may be a ray of hope from Democrat Presidential candidate Andrew Yang. https://bitcoinist.com/andrew-yang-2020-president-bitcoin/

lol , i just checked XEM on poloniex , i checked on "all" , the picture say's enough NEM's bull phase is starting. Slowly and organically up. I wonder about your change of heart. Recently you were completely against NEM and the new developments around the management team (at least that's how it seemed to me). Now I mainly read positive posts from you. I mean, I like it, but I'm a bit surprised. May I ask why you are now positive again?

There was a whole episode of "The Good Wife" in 2011 about Bitcoin.
You probably mean season 3 episode 13 of Good Wife which is already listed in the opening post. If there is another one please report. Also, it's mentioned in almost every Netflix original series. Orphan Black, The Lone Survivor, Disjointed...to name a few.
Thanks for the hint. I am currently looking for new series I can start. I will see if the three mentioned series appealed to me. If so, then I will list the individual episodes and position where Bitcoin is mentioned.

guys I like the project and the website, but please, it's 2019 and having a smart contracts tech project on a website without https is to say at least unprofessional. it's free and doesn't cost anything!
Which website do you mean? All official websites related to Vite (main site, wiki, forum, etc) use https. Either you landed on a Vite fake site or you accidently opened http and Vite did not set up to force a forward to https. Vite surprized me. In this market project shows not bad chart statistic and I think that Vite has a future.
At the current state, Vite can not really be compared to other projects. Only a part of the coins (only ERC20 tokens not native tokens) are tradable. So the main part is not tradable at the moment, therefore the characteristics of the Vite market does not tell much.

If you are still looking for the best project to invest in. I recommend faireum.io
It would be helpful if you would explain why this would be a good investment. There are so many users who just recommend some projects in which they are self-invested, but if you ask why you should invest, then you often get no answer. An investment in a blockchain-based project should have good reasons. So why is faireum. io good?

Famous Swiss Investor Marc Faber Finally Buys BitcoinMarc Faber may not be revered for his views on racial equality. But when it comes to investing, he’s up there with Warren Buffet — as far as successful track records go. Unlike the other aging investor who dismisses Bitcoin as a ‘rat poison squared,’ Faber finally bought his first chunk of the world’s number one cryptocurrency.https://bitcoinist.com/famous-swiss-investor-marc-faber-finally-buys-bitcoin/

Great idea! I think it's good when users are so involved. I gave you two merits so you have one more to spend and to reward a newbie or junior member. Also I went through your list of merited posts and gave some of them extra merits.

I tried with Trinity wallet but can not paste my seed. Reading around, any help will be welcome, thanks
A few posts before on this thread page I posted the following: For security reasons, the wallet does not allow the seed to be copied and pasted since copied data is stored in the main memory of the computer and thus there is a theoretical chance for hackers to read it out. That's why the software requires you to enter it manually.
So you need to import the seed once manually. For further logins you only need your password (chosen while import procedure) that can be copied and pasted. But to come back to your actual question: your iota should be save.

Could someone kindly confirm that there is no way to check the validity of wallet downloads with any checksum hashes please? I can find absolutely NOTHING. 1/4 Billion Market cap....... and no hashes for downloads Hello. Indeed, there are no available checksums for official Waves products. Our team consider all ways to implement it. Kind regards, Waves Community Manager I could not find checksum hashes for light wallet either. However for full node software, checksums are available on Github page. See here https://github.com/wavesplatform/Waves/releases
