2341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need bitcoin? on: July 20, 2020, 10:04:26 AM
I like bitcoin, a lot. But I don't think that this world needs it. Except if they want to hide something. Prove me wrong.

If you think we don't need Bitcoin, then find out about the enormous debt bubble that has been inflated especially since the financial crisis of 2008 and is exploding even further in the current corona period. Bitcoin is currently the only stable value element besides gold in a crazy global fiat financial casino.
2342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoin based on average of major currencies on: July 20, 2020, 09:58:11 AM
In the view of a global economy, would it make sense to create a stablecoin, which is algorithmically stabilized on a price which is a weighted average of all the major currencies?

This is basically exactly what Facebook is planning to do with its crypto-currency, whose value is based on a basket of currencies and for which the company has received enormous headwind from governments and financial companies around the globe. If Facebook has had enormous difficulties in implementing such an idea so far, then I don't think we need to discuss whether anyone else could (legally) implement it.
2343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: July 20, 2020, 09:53:36 AM
It really is tragic to see deaths that didnt have to happen, its just a case of waiting for a vaccine and read a book for a year.

That's a pretty western view. In fact, every year millions of people die who should not have to die, whether it is due to poor hygiene, water and health care or the lack of food. But this does not happen in the industrialized countries but in the developing and emerging countries. Therefore most people in the west do not know this situation. The current pandemic allows us to experience for the first time at first hand the social impact of such poor conditions on people and societies.
2344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ECOIN on: July 20, 2020, 09:42:41 AM
HELLO, ladies and gents

i am looking for some infomation on this ECOIN, i signed up the day it was realeased . is it worth investing in more, and is it a serious contender, for top marks and reviews, or is it badly run, and etc ,thks stay save guys

I would keep my hands off it. There are some scam allegations about the project and besides, I wouldn't invest in a coin named the same as the crypto currency of the evil conglomerate in the Mr. Robot series (a recommendable series if you haven't watched it yet). This is already a hidden hint for me from the creators that they just want to cheat the investors.
2345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You want DEFI? Go Oldy on: July 19, 2020, 05:42:51 PM
Can someone explain to me why is DeFi so hyped? In principle, the term describes nothing more than what crypto has been stood for since the emergence of platforms such as Ethereum, a decentralised payment ecosystem.
2346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: July 19, 2020, 04:30:07 PM
Just read an interesting article. Prof. Helmut Norpoth developed a prediction model that correctly predicted the outcome of the last 25 of 27 elections. He had already predicted a probability of victory for Trump in 2016 of 67 to 88 percent. But the interesting thing is what he predicts about the upcoming election: A 91% probability for re-election of Trump.

2347  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Was haltet ihr von QORA ?!? on: July 18, 2020, 05:37:50 PM
Ok, Du musst ein paar Punkte beachten:
- unten links "switch to mainnet" geklickt?

Code:
http://127.0.0.1:9085/addresses/seed/QMeineQoraAdresse

2348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Affiliates: Carryover of Negative Revenue Share Profit on: July 18, 2020, 04:49:14 PM
I wouldn't refer to any site that does this, as in negative profit share. Because then what's my fault if I bring a person and he becomes lucky? Doesn't everyone wants that? To be lucky?! In that way, the casino is preventing its own loss at the liability of the referral! I would love when the commission is based on wager, because casinos should calculate on wager only as they already have the house edge on their advantage!
Commissions that are wager based is mostly from dice sites but the share you get from the house edge is very small since dice's house edge is 1% unlike the other commision type which is profit based.

If you have active players you could make a good gain even though house edge is 1% or less. I also have some referrals on dice sites and some of them make up to or even more than 10k games a month (obviously mostly automatic). Let's assume average bet is 1 mBTC, so your gain is 10 Sats per game, what gives you 10mBTC gain a month for such a referral, no matter if it wins or loses.
2349  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: [VORSICHT möglicher SCAM] Frankfurter Fintech Startup Savedroid startet ICO on: July 18, 2020, 10:39:38 AM

2351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto for gambling? on: July 17, 2020, 12:15:09 PM
If it is offered by the casino, then I almost always play with Doge. I hardly own Doge but I always exchange mBTC for Doge. Why? Because it is much easier and cheaper to play with Doge than with coins such as BTC or ETH which have high transaction fees.
2352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinbase wallet without KYC as long as you do not buy/sell crypto? on: July 15, 2020, 10:24:06 PM
That's what happened to me and that's for level 1. Try it for yourself tyz. It says that bitcoin isn't tradable in my region but it asks me to verify ID.
If it's not tradable to my region then it wouldn't be asking for more KYC. This is the reason why I haven't used them for a long time.

Thanks, may I ask what region you are coming from? This is one reason why I am so reluctant to sign up for such services. It's not really transparent. KYC is required for one person, but not for another. And the ToS doesn't provide any information about it.

1) https://www.savedroid.com
2) https://www.abt-ag.com
3) https://www.gobitcoinking.com
4) https://www.secpay.io
5) https://www.mysolidwealth.com
6) https://www.mynewster.com

Irgendwas vergessen?

2354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinbase wallet without KYC as long as you do not buy/sell crypto? on: July 14, 2020, 02:58:17 PM
No, it isnt!
Ive been using Coinbase for years but do acts only as a wallet on receiving and sending out btc to other wallets and i dont have problems with it and since im dealing up with small amounts then
i didnt face up any problems.I dont know if this one would work if huge volumes will really be transacted but still its not advisable specially when you do make use this one
as a receiver specially with some gambling funds, tendency of locked out account is there but i havent able to try it though but its part of their ToS.

So, does it mean sending and receiving Bitcoins is enabled without doing a KYC if you do not exceed a certain transaction volume? I am wondering because @batang_bitcoin wrote he can not create a deposit/receiving Bitcoin address being unverified :/

If you are just planning to use coinbase for storing crypto  then, why not try coinomi or mycelium it's a better option than coinbase.

I usually do not use services like Coinbase. I ask because I use a service which added payout of money in Bitcoin but only to Coinbase wallets. So alternatives you mentioned are not an option.
2355  Local / Projektentwicklung / Re: [info] Primal Cypher BITCOIN and KRYPTO DESIGNS, merch, etc. — mein SHOP on: July 14, 2020, 12:55:47 PM
2356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best welcome offer for you? on: July 14, 2020, 10:04:05 AM
Is it important for you to have some kind of welcome/deposit bonus?
Or perhaps if everything else in that casino seems good for you, maybe such is not needed?
If you're into welcome offers, what are the best ones that would tempt you to sign up and start playing in that casino?

I personally prefer a free welcome bonus (without any deposit, just for signing up) to test the casino/gambling site and a good first deposit bonus. I usually do not sign up if such bonuses are not given. Also, you should take care about to pay out winnings/profits which are made from those (free) bonuses. From my experiences many casino do not and are going to make trouble.
2357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Opinion Needed] What do you want to see in a gambling site review? || 2 on: July 14, 2020, 09:51:41 AM
What will you find truly useful in such a review?

One main point you left out in your list in my opinion, is checking if free bonuses are really paid out if you make a win with that. So you also should test and review this point. Over the years I have gained a lot of experience on gambling sites and have registered with many of them using a freebonus code. From my experience many sites are making problems if you make a bigger profit with this bonus. Often reasons are given why the winnings cannot be paid out or your account is simply banned and they no longer respond to support requests. Or they suddenly ask for a KYC without being a prerequisite according their ToS.
2358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which website do you usually go to get your news and casino reviews? on: July 14, 2020, 09:45:38 AM
I mainly use Best Bitcoin Casino, Crypto Gambling News, and of course here,
but are there any other sites that you guys recommend?

To be honest, I don't trust that kind of review sites because the authors of the reviews only want one thing: that you sign up via their reflink on the gambling site. Therefore most reviews are strongly positive and negative points are often left out. The same is true for user reviews on such sites. These can be falsified very easily. The best way to inform yourself in my opinion is Bitcointalk. There is a thread with a wide variety of opinions for almost every gambling site. Therefore Bitcointalk is my main source of information.
2359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: July 13, 2020, 05:49:12 PM
Anyone else loading up on NEM before Symbol distribution? Any speculations on the value when it hits the market? Thanks!  Grin

Based on similar forks or spin-offs from other projects in the past (e.g. NXT / Ardor), it is likely that Symbol will initially gain strongly in value while XEM will lose strongly.

But before that XEM will probably go up in price very high. People need to have xem in their wallet before swap and snapshot so they need to buy it if they dont have.

At that moment, the whales jump in  Smiley

Yes, usually the price of the "old" token is strongly pushed the weeks before the snapshot. Immediately afterwards, a long lasting decline normally happens. This has been a common pattern to many such crpyto projects.
