[....]

People believed in these tweets because it came from high profile and someone who can be trusted easily but they forgot that the social media or other channels could be hacked as well. People right out believed in it but forgot the basic that there is always something off about if there is something which seems to good to be true.

High and verified profiles. You can now blame the people who sent money there, but to be honest, such an action would also suit someone like Elon Musk. Not so much Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, but definitely Elon Musk. Due to the time limit of the offer, pressure has been built up and someone who is new to the crytoscene can easily fall for it. Time pressure and greed can be a fatal mix.
2322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 28, 2020, 07:42:38 PM
It's half time. Parma lead by a single goal.

Score: Parma 1 - 0 Atlanta.

I have not seen Atlanta this terrible. They don't even have a single shot on target against parma. I think they're just playing for fun since Juventus already won the league. Let's see if they can do a come back in the second half. Hopefully they don't perform like this against PSG. Second half is underway!

1-2 for Atlanta. I am glad they turned the match, otherwise I would have lost my bet  Cheesy I watched the game live and it was really bad. Either Bergamo had a bad day or they're saving themselves for the Champions League match against PSG.

Inter vs Napoli starts in 5 minutes. I bet on 2,5+ goals.
2323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: July 28, 2020, 07:30:59 PM
A new Cato national survey finds that self‐censorship is on the rise in the United States. Nearly two-thirds—62%—of Americans say the political climate these days prevents them from saying things they believe because others might find them offensive. The share of Americans who self‐censor has risen several points since 2017 when 58% of Americans agreed with this statement.
Source https://www.cato.org/publications/survey-reports/poll-62-americans-say-they-have-political-views-theyre-afraid-share

Unfortunately, this is not only the case in the USA, but is also increasing in Europe. Very sad. The whole discussion is now only moving within a narrow corridor of opinion. If you are outside of this corridor, you quickly feel the consequences.
The bad thing is that those who say yes to this are those who want to contain the political spectrum left and right, but do not realise that such narratives strengthen these spectrum even further. Freedom of speech without any consequences is the only way to preserve freedom.

2328  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Modum - Diskussions Tread on: July 24, 2020, 10:13:39 AM

Quote
To simplify the calculation, if it is assumed that 100% of tokenholders choose to swap all of the outstanding MOD tokens into participation certificates, then the participation certificates represent roughly 36% of the modum.io AG equity. Read the BDO fairness opinion for details (available after onboarding and identity verification in the Token App.).

2329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: July 23, 2020, 09:21:50 AM

yes, thats right and not only storj coin, but another coin too
here the source from binance on twitter
https://twitter.com/binance/status/1285141958579695617

Is this the old STORJ token on the Counterparty chain or the new token on the Ethereum blockchain?

Does anyone know any exchange where you can trade the old tokens on the counterparty chain?
2330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any successful and relatively new casinos? on: July 22, 2020, 03:15:41 PM
...

Interesting topic. I think it's because crypto casinos have not evolved. I've also been around for many years and basically nothing has changed except the UI. No new innovative gambling concepts, nor new interesting gaming concepts. Even the bonus concepts are old and boring. Everything exactly the same as already 2012, so why should new casinos have a large influx to keep themselves in the long term? Stake.com is an exception because an established crypto gambling company is behind it. I have been waiting for a really good decentralized casino where you don't have to worry about your funds disappearing overnight. That would be the next big thing.

Thanks @zahl, for your opinion! I have traded Aeternity on short notice from time to time. The token is quite useful for that. After toying with the idea of a longer-term investment (the low price is attractive on the first look), I came across your posts, which made me doubt even more, since other indicators (including GIT-commits, community activity and transaction volume) were not convincing.

You often wrote about a Bulgarian project. The company itself is located in Liechtenstein (Vaduz), or is it just a shell company and the real company is located in Bulgaria?
2332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XLM] Stellar - Decentralized trading platform on: July 22, 2020, 11:56:29 AM
Weird question, but are there any active ways to earn XLM atm?

I've gotten the CB and Blockchain bonuses, but I was curious if there were any others such as bounties, campaigns, etc?

Thanks Smiley

I am not aware of any at present. Until some time ago you could still earn stellar by staking. That's over now. The possibilities are limited because a large part of the remaining stake has been burned. The only possibility at the moment are faucets like http://stellarfaucet.info but with only a small income.
2333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: July 22, 2020, 11:48:12 AM
Are there any obvious reasons why the price of Waves has increased by 50% in the last two weeks?

Happens every time I criticize Waves. Price is clearly manipulated by Sasha!  Angry

This is the worst and most ridiculous answer I would have expected to the question. You overestimate your influence immensely Cheesy Maybe it is simply because the project has taken many positive steps in the meantime. Yesterday I read through all the news of the last months and I was quite surprised how well the project is developing.

Thus, to answer my question myself: I now believe that it is not because of one good news but because of a lot of smaller good news combined which lead to the steady increase.
2334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: July 21, 2020, 01:11:06 PM
Are there any obvious reasons why the price of Waves has increased by 50% in the last two weeks? Is it only because of the announcement of a stragetic deal with Microsoft Azure five days ago or are there other reasons because the price had already surged before the announcement of the deal.
2335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Record Revenue for Blockchain Gaming Company During Pandemic on: July 21, 2020, 11:32:37 AM
Animoca Brands, the firm behind noted NFT-powered games The Sandbox and F1 Delta Time, has reported record revenue amid the COVID-19 lockdown.
...

First of all, I strongly recommend to quote the copied text from the CoinTelegraph article or you likely get banned (if not yet happened) for plagarism.

Secondly, to take up the subject, it is the figures of only one crypto gambling provider. I would not transfer the good figures of one provider to all blockchain gambling providers, because it could also be individual factors (besides COVID-19) that provided the boost. But in general, it should come as no surprise that such providers benefit from the situation. Millions of people are at home bored. Many of them (as in the USA) even receive extra high unemployment benefits, which many have invested in the stock market or in gambling. The question will be whether the good figures will remain after the lockdown period ended.

Niko Kovac wants to bring Mario Gotze to Monaco.

That would be good to see. Mario Gotze is without club right now and it is really sad to see no one buy him because of how injury prone the player is.

There are rumours that AS Monaco and AC Florence are interested in Goetze. At AS Monaco, Nico Kovac is now coach and he knows Goetze well from the Bundesliga. And he would fit good into the team. So this could be an option for him. And in Florence, Frank Ribery is said to be pushing for an Goetze commitment, as he also knows him well from his time with Bayern Munich.

2339  Economy / Service Discussion / Do only crypto payments cost customers? on: July 20, 2020, 10:25:13 AM
I have an idea and I am thinking of developing a paid service out of it. I would like to accept only crypto as a means of payment but I am not sure if most people would accept this. Therefore I would like to do a short survey.

Suppose you have $1000 on your Paypal account and $1000 in Bitcoin and you would subscribe to the service for $10 a month. Would you prefer to pay in Paypal or Bitcoin (no matter what kind of service it is)?
