2041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: October 25, 2020, 04:52:16 PM
It seems that Everton can not maintain their lead in the Premier League, since they are 2-0 behind at the moment.
It would be a fairytale if Everton can copy the season from Leicester city from several years ago.

Well if they do not lose by more than three goals difference, then they will stay at the top after this match day, unless Aston Villa wins the catch-up game. Then Aston Villa would be first and Everton second. A table constellation that one could not have imagined a few weeks ago.

Quote
To move tokens from one chain to another (i.e., BEP-2 to BEP-20 or vice versa), the simplest method is perhaps to use the Binance Chain Wallet, available on Chrome and Firefox. Check out Use Binance Chain Extension Wallet for a guide to this.
Quelle: https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/an-introduction-to-binance-smart-chain-bsc + https://docs.binance.org/smart-chain/wallet/binance.html

BSC ist wohl ganz was Neues von Binance. Auch hier ist was darüber zu finden: https://cryptoticker.io/de/ethereum-killer-was-binance-smart-chain-fuer-defi-bedeutet/

Danke Mole!

BTC on the BEP2 network (Binance Chain) is a pegged token under the ticker BTCB. It allows for near-instant BTC transactions. However, BTCB is not yet supported by many services.

BTC on the BTC network is traditional, native Bitcoin, but it is inconvenient to use, as transfers are quite slow.

To transfer BTC to Coinbase, you'll need to use the BTC network to withdraw. If you ever do decide to use BTCB, it can be exchanged for native BTC on Binance.com.

Quelle: https://www.reddit.com/r/binance/comments/fsklvl/difference_between_btc_and_bep2_network/

Quote
You'll be withdrawing "BTCB" - a BEP2 token that is 100% backed by Bitcoin (BTC). The reserve addresses are published for anyone to audit. See more at https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-bep2/

The whole idea of withdrawing is so that you take ownership of your Bitcoin. Pay the higher fee and withdraw Bitcoin.... otherwise, you're simply withdrawing a promise from Binance.

Hope this helps.

Quelle: https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/gq6z3w/withdrawing_btc_to_ledger_nano_s_from_binance/

2043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: October 25, 2020, 04:09:41 PM
I don't quite understand when the snapshot of the NEM blockchain is for Symbol.
Is there an exact date for this or will it not be published in order to prevent everyone from buying shortly before and selling everything shortly after? The latter will happen anyway.
2044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Brave Browser: Now users can earn Basic Attention Token (BAT) for viewing ads on: October 25, 2020, 04:07:09 PM
If you are old brave users well thats worth it. But if you are new that want to earn from ads you need to first buy the tokens to be able to verify the wallet .you need a minimum 25 bat tokens to verify it and to recieve rewards for having an ads.
No idea why they make this but its not good for those new to this program and have difficulty to understand block chain .

Brave has been doing many strange things lately. This is another one. The project was started to do many things differently. No spying, no hurdle to earn crypto, etc. All this is now gradually being put right. I do not understand the strategy of Brave behind it anymore. I used the browser as main browser on the desktop and mobile. I do not do that anymore.

Every time I disable the Crypto.com Exchange widget on the start site and then update the browser, the widget is back. Does anyone know a way to turn it off permanently?

  • Binance Chain (BNB) BEP2 - Fee:0.0000024 BTC ≈ $0.031067
  • Binance Smart Chain (BSC) BEP20 (BSC) - Fee:0.000005 BTC ≈ $0.064724
  • BTC - Fee:0.0004 BTC ≈ $5.18

2048  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has crypto failed to break through still? on: October 23, 2020, 03:46:57 PM
Why are governments still in control of the money printing process? how has cryptocurrency failed to make a dent?

Because it's only been about a decade. Roll Eyes

Many have lost patience with Bitcoin's supposed failure to "make a dent" over the years......they sold under $10, under $100, under $1K, and so on. Markets are all about patient investors taking money away from impatient investors!

Are we as a community too scared to challenge the status quo?

No. We're voting with our money. That's just about the most powerful statement we can make about the status quo.

That's right. Bitcoin, if you will, is a joint project that is only a decade old and has achieved a lot in this period. It's so easy to forget, but if you look at 2010 and 2020, Bitcoin and crypto have achieved a lot. Since it is a community root project, everything takes a little longer because it cannot be centrally controlled and commanded like a fiat currency. The seeds for Bitcoin and co have been sown and I am convinced that the harvest will come in this decade. Just be patient!

Is this true? I bought at binance now I cant withdraw

KMD is a privacy coin and privacy coin withdrawals are blocked by binance

Where did you get the info from? Komodo is not a privacy coin, but the Komodo ecosystem includes privacy coins such as PirateCoin. I can withdraw Komodo on Binance. And it's also not true that Binance blocks privacy coins. Monero and others can still be traded, deposited and withdrawn.
2050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: October 21, 2020, 06:42:53 PM
PSG vs Man Utd is the game I’m going to tune into tonight. This will be a real test of Ole’s management skills, they have done well against PSG in recent seasons though.

If you compare the respective opening matches in the leagues and the respective team form, Paris is the clear favorite. Also the odds make that clear. Win for Paris 1.57 vs. win ManU 5.4. If you believe in ManU and want to choose the safe option, go for double chance ManU @2.58.

Seems my idea would have worked. Double chance is a strong weapon in betting when teams are quite similar good but odds for winning are so different.

What the heck is this?!  Shocked
Real Madrid - Shakhtar Donetsk 0:3 half time...
Now I need this to stay because I played both teams not to score

My same reaction when I saw the half time result. I think Corona is going to mix up this Champions League season and it will not be the last surprising result.

2052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites accepting bets from countries where gambling is illegal. on: October 20, 2020, 04:22:26 PM
If its illegal then better not to proceed and if you do then expect on what would be things that would be possibly asked ahead. So its better to obey and just rather skipped out
if you do saw a gambling site that do prohibit out users on a certain region. Also with other terms as well that tied up to bonuses etc.

The thing is, most even don't know that they do illegal activities on gambling platforms just because they did not read the ToS. Of course, some ToS are really strange. But in the end it is your own responsibility to read the ToS before registration and if you check the box and it sounds okay, then you accept it, no matter how strange it may seem
2053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites accepting bets from countries where gambling is illegal. on: October 19, 2020, 07:09:13 PM
Many gamblers doesn't really reads the TOS because they are to excited to play and gamble, that is why they end up losing their account and funds in a gambling site. You should always check the TOS of a gambling site before you register or signup for you to know if it is safe to play in your country and deposit your funds because your account will be useless when your account suddenly froze and banned.

This is a true point. Many scam allegations are also based on the fact that people simply haven't read the ToS. For example, there was a recent case where someone made a bigger profit with a free bonus. The user were then asked for a KYC at the withdrawal request. The winner did not want to make it because he came from a country that was not accepted by the casino. In the ToS it was clearly written that for larger winnings with a free bonus a KYC is required, also that users from the country the user came from are not allowed. The user simply did not read it and then yelled around that the casino is a scam.
2054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling thoughts. on: October 19, 2020, 07:00:28 PM
Do you ever asked yourselves these things?

1. Which one do you prefer, Casino gambling or online gambling?
I personally prefer online casinos. Simply for the reason that I can gamble there with jogging pants Cheesy

2. How much money are you willing to spend on gambling?
I have no fixed amount. I bet mostly and there I have a strict balance and money management for a long time. Depending on the current balance status, I set my gambling amount.

3. How do you manage your lose streak or win streak?
See answer to question 2. Strict balance and money management.

4. If you will have $1000, what game in the casino you are going to play?
I only bet.

5. What is the best advice that you can give to a gambler?
Learn balance and money management. This is the most essential part of gambling. Everyone should learn this before bringing a cent or Satoshi to a casino.
2055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people avoid bitcoin? on: October 19, 2020, 06:49:23 PM
It is possible to create a bitcoin wallet and learn about its working process through youtube within few minutes.people would like to do this rather wait for a week.so that's not a problem.the point is legality as we know btc is still not legal in many countrirs. So people of those country can't enjoy the facilities of bitcoin transactions within seconds.maybe because they afraid of bitcoin price cause it could be dump anytime without any reason

I think the most common reason is rather that the technical understanding and technological barrier is too high for many. Bitcoin works differently than online bank transfers, for example. You need an technological understanding and you are completely responsible for your Bitcoins. You can't just go to the bank and say "block my account" because I lost my password, but if you make a mistake with Bitcoin, the money is gone forever. Besides it is still difficult to pay with Bitcoin. Those are all factors, which are understandable, why many still do not want to handle Bitcoin.

Definitely yes! I shared an image at a other discussion thread yesterday about the top 5 forums thread with the most posts in the last 24hours. All five are bounty related, mostly DeFi bounties. I think this picture tells it all.

2057  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: October 19, 2020, 06:20:00 PM
Everything is unstable as long as there is a pandemic. Businesses halted operations due to supply problems. Supplies for a specific business takes too long to arrive beacuse of the tight security and of course shipment crews needs to be quarantined everytime they cross borders. That is why small businesses are affected and we workers as well. I know the only thing that will help me survive this crisis is cryptocurrency that is why I am active here again because fiat had failed me.

What is your story with fiat and cryptocurrency during pandemic? This is again the battle of centralized and decentralized assets and activity in the middle of a crisis. In your own experiences and opinion which of the two will win?

First of all, I am sorry for your loss. I hope that the economy in your country recovers quickly and that you find a good job again. May I ask which country you come from and in which industry you work(ed)? Fortunately, the crisis has hardly affected me as far as my job is concerned, nor my family and friends. I hope it will stay that way, but it seems to be very region-/country-dependent.

I've been playing lately dice game from different platforms and usually I use a strategy that I run in hours. But there are some point wherein the roll of the dice behaves unusually fast and results to consecutive losing that swept my bank roll and it's too late to stop the automated betting since it rolls too fast.

I don't play dice games that often, but when I do, it's mostly with small stakes and automated. I have never noticed the behavior as you describe it. Maybe it would be helpful if you record this behavior with a screencast, then we can better understand and judge whether this is strange behavior.
2060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 18, 2020, 11:08:57 AM
The result of Hertha Berlin is not surprising. There is too much hustle and bustle around the club at the moment. Many disputes between the persons in the club management. No wonder that this is rubbing off on the team.

Well, if you look at how much Hertha has invested lately into their team, you could've at least come to the conclusion that they are the favourite against a team that just got promoted from the second Bundesliga. So for me it was a surprise that Stuttgart won today. And in general I am disappointed with Hertha this season so far. I am sure there will be ones that blame it on the coach but Labbadia has proven in Wolfsburg that he can form a team and lead it into the Europa League. Not sure what's the problem with Hertha so far. A lot of individually good players that don't work together as a team maybe?

Basically you are right. But if it would be so easy that you just invest a lot of money and then the team immediately works at its best, then it would be relatively easy to "buy the championship win". There have been many examples in European football where a lot of money was invested and then nothing came out. For example, many Premier League clubs that only play in midfield (Newcastle, WestHam etc) or even only in the second division. Or clubs like Malaga in Spain, just to name a few examples.
