3121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 23, 2021, 12:23:08 PM
Ok from what I read, Caleb proved that he is not a keyboard warrior and tell everything on Canelo's during their face-off, specially the accusations like he is a cheater, and then calling Canelo MF. So Alvarez was feed up with all of Caleb's antic. And he said that this is extra motivation and he takes it personally. So I'm smelling another knock out win for Canelo, doesn't matter which round, he will go out and really hurt Caleb here.
3122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elizabeth Warren claims on: September 23, 2021, 11:55:37 AM
A six-month period has seen $80 million stolen from Crypto as a result of scams, claims Elizabeth Warren. Aside from the $11.11 Billion in fines US banks received for shady business, she neglects to mention the $12 Billion in overdraft fees consumers will pay to banks in 2020!

What is your opinion in this regard?

$80 million is just a drop in the ocean resulting from crypto scams. Of course, they won't mentions about the scams that banks have been pulling in the last 6 months. They just want to highlight everything, specially negative. Nevertheless, bitcoin enthusiast are not affective by this kind of news, we know where they coming from and this kind of statement coming from any government agencies will simply not stop. So I would say, just shrug your shoulders if we read this kind of news.

^^ Just to test the mettle on this tournament, I parlay Gojowczyk, Peter ML + Schnur, Brayden (+3.5), so let's see how it goes.

Good win by Murray, I never thought that he will win against Humbert here, so he perform very well and above expectations, should have put a even a small bet on him.

Ymer vs Busta - very interesting match, I will pass on this match, not that easy to analyse this. As I have said, will test first and see how my bet goes.

Finally, won my first bet after a series of losing streak in tennis.  It's @2.62 odd win.

Carreno-Busta was a close one in the first set, but when I say that Ymer has lost it, it's obviously that Busta will take over the second set.

Karen Khachanov (-3.5) @1.76 is my next bet. And then Alex De Minaur (-2.5) @1.90.
3124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going to $53k or down to $48k? (Bullish Scenario) on: September 22, 2021, 07:49:34 PM
I haven't heard any FUD though, in any case the market is just moving as normal, sideways and then some retest of support/resistance, just like what we are seeing, now at $43k.

Hopefully, in the last stretch of the year, even if there's some kind of FUD and manipulation behind, the price will continue as predicted, a cool 6 digits before the end of the year. And it will only shows that bitcoin is resilient and unstoppable.
There's FUD news now on twitter that Biden will reject bitcoin so maybe this has a bit of an impact on bad news on bitcoin so it's going down and some are even panicking about how they are dealing with this, still we have to be calm about this situation because for me it's just a little manipulation to try some people against bitcoin.

I still have time until the end of the year, so I'm still a little optimistic that bitcoin can get through this, whatever the bad news is this won't make bitcoin worse so we have to stay in this situation.

if bad news about bitcoin continues to hit social media, worry that the market price will continue to plummet. Is there a rumor like that can be refuted by other positive rumors such as El Salvador legalizing bitcoin as a legal medium of exchange in their country. El Salvador's policy made big companies start adopting it, because bitcoin has become a means of transacting in their financial system.

I haven't heard of any companies starting to adopt bitcoin because of El Salvador legalising. Of course, their banks and other online and offline businesses will have to accept since it's a legal tender within their country.

Of course, if there is bad news, there will always some positive news to balance things out. Currently, the price has gone up to it's average of $43k, indication that the effect of this so called FUD are already gone as everything seems to be settling down.

This is the latest regarding Klay Thompson rehab:

https://twitter.com/warriors/status/1440085974369767427?s=20

So he is still on the calendar to play on the upcoming season. One of the most anticipated comeback I guess as he was out for 2 years already. And so far the news is all positive regarding his recovery. Of course, the real test will be his comeback game, so we can see if he can bounce back again and go back to his usual outside shooting.
3126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 22, 2021, 11:45:49 AM

Weird though to see Canelo's losing his cool on a press con, so I'm not sure if this was stage or not, but as you can see when he throw that left hook, it was not on a close fist but rather like a chop, a karate chop. But it took a damage on Caleb's face already, thus it will create an even greater hype for this upcoming fight. But the odds are not going to change, Canelo will still be the favourite to win this fight.

I think it was natural for Canelo to get emotional and throw a punch at Caleb Plant at the press conference, because at that time Caleb Plant had insulted Canelo's mother, I think the boxing committee should now forbid the fighters to say these things Bad things that are racist or insulting, religion and family in the faceoff session, but with this incident it is certain that the fight will be an exciting and bloody fight because of course Canelo will repay the insult with all his abilities in the ring later.

We don't know what's being said at their face off. But for sure Canelo has been taking mental notes of Caleb's attack on twitter. Or maybe he really did insult Canelo's mother that's why he lost his focus and push Caleb. As far as trash talking goes though, I don't think that they should forbid it, that's part of the game, it's either you take it on stride and used it as motivation, or lost your concentration, in that case that is already a psyche war victory by your opponents. And for sure Canelo will repay the insult with a knock out and take Caleb's 0.

^ It's now trading sideways, a pattern that is familiar with us, last month this is always the case and we close the month with green candles.

However, this month might be different, yes short term could be bearish, but not to the point that we are going down to $43k. We can maintain his phase up until the end of next month, and we are still good. Then wait for October to somewhat bring the bullish sentiments around and then new ATH at the end of the year.
3129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jamel Herring vs Shakur Stevenson on: September 20, 2021, 02:17:57 AM
Just wanted to share how sicked and wicked Shakur's body shot though,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSNoYNRDbNM

Look at how he time the body shot that took out Felx Caraballo soul in his last fight here. It was perfect that Felix can't get up and was counted out by the referee. Imagine Herring, who is very tall and Stevenson punishing him with the same perfect timing shot like that. So Herring be ready for that kind of attack coming from Shakur because definitely it will hurt.

Yes, he is sure a big body puncher, so Herring should be preparing for this body shot. I'm been looking at Herring's previous fight and he seems to be good at also countering, specially his uppercut since he is very tall for this weight class. So watch out for his uppercut, he did used it against  Carl Frampton and knock him out with overhand right. So definitely I'm getting more excited to see how the style clashes and who are going to fight Oscar Valdez.

That's one advantage of Shakur if Herring didn't to fight close, as he usually does. He should used his height advantage and reach to jab and keep away from Shakur's body shot. If not then sooner or later it will take the gas out of Herring and it will be decisive if the rounds go to 6 to 10 and then championships round. I think the body shot will be the key to Shakur's victory against Herring in this fight.
3130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can Cardano achieve $ 5 ? on: September 19, 2021, 04:49:47 PM
I doubt that it will replace ETH as ETH is a prime mover in the crypto sphere. So that will not be the first point of ADA, let is run and let investors find its way to them, not as competitor to ETH but as a project can become an alternative to the issues of ETH.

As far as the price achieving $5, just like what the devs behind are doing, continue to improve the project itself, release every iteration and better the previous one and then maybe investors will suddenly pour their money on them pushing the price in upward trajectory at the end of this year and the next coming years. It should be step by step and not rush thing to get tot $5.
3131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 19, 2021, 04:08:26 PM
Anyway, I'd really love to see a healthy Nets and Bucks going up against each other again in the ECF.  Nothing is more interesting than that in the coming playoffs.
Me too.

I'm hoping that Nets would really be the Nets that we've been expecting last season to be at the top. I guess it's now time for them to step up again despite the shortfall that they've got last season.

With Bucks, it's interesting that there's some changes with their roster.

There are almost close to the top, Durant was the only one healthy, but he carry the team, he just fell short. Harden too was injured in the playoffs and Kyrie. So just imagine their big 3 (regardless of the drama), become healthy last season, they could have won against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Only few changes on Bucks roster, their core remains intact and they get a replacement for PJ Tucker. So Bucks is still good for the upcoming seasons.
3132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 19, 2021, 11:42:26 AM
I tend to agree GGG is still prime even he's getting old, he has iron chin and can't be knocked out. I remember his fight with Steve Rolls, GGG's left jab was powerful and win KO'ed.
In his career he just draw and lost from Canelo, of course many people would still waiting their 3rd rematch. If both of them agreed to make more money from this match, it's not impossible will be happen in the future.

I don't think that the trilogy fight will ever happen. It is extremely difficult for the athletes to stay at their peak after 40, and GGG is inching closer to that level. He was ready for the fight, and wanted it scheduled at some point in 2019. It was Canelo who rejected the suggestion, after his controversial win in 2018. GGG is still a legend, but I really doubt whether he is still at the peak which he was in 2018-19. But Canelo need to take up the challenge, at least in 2022. Else it will remain as the sole negative point in his career.

I think the sole negative point will be his lost to Floyd, yes, he not giving a trilogy and waiting for GGG to age 40+ before accepting the fight will also be negative, but Floyd lamented the same, he is undefeated but still people will always find a way to bash his records for not facing a particular fighter during their primes, like the Pacquiao fight. Although he defeated Manny, but many will argue that Floyd should have face him when Manny was destroying everyone. Floyd fought Manny when he just come from a Marquez knock out. But in any case, a huge payday for the trilogy fight and even if GGG is 40++ by that time, he would accept it in a heart beat, but I don't expect it to be competitive as the the first two fights.

Yeah, it was just a part of a celebration I guess. Kyrgios is gone for now, no more antics from him as compared to last year, not just in court but out court revelations (sleeping with a fan), and drama (Nadal bickering).  Grin
Anyone looking at the Istanbul Atp challenger tournament?
Just saw some odds, but I'm not familiar with the players name. Not sure if others are betting or skipping this one.
There's still a lot of tennis tournament going on around, just like the Istanbul ATP challenger.
But as you have said, this kind of tournament are relatively small so no known players are entering. Better just wait for other tournaments in the calendar like the Astana Open, and then we have Moselle Open or the Laver Cup in the US.

It's better in my opinion to skip these small tournaments for betting. Because you don't know about the player and his opponent. So you are kind of hitting in blank. It's a hit-or-miss chance. So I'm gonna sit around and wait for the upcoming bigger tournaments and bet on them. But yes, if you know about the players or have seen their past matches or stats, you can bet on them Smiley.

Yes, myself got burn early on betting on unknown players so I skip this small tournaments, because there are a lot of surprises and that might rekt your parlays.

So for me, yes better wait for mid to big ATP tournaments wherein there's a lot of entry, familiar names that can you can analysis before making your bet. Of course there could be some names that will come up on this smaller tournaments, but it's really unpredictable.

I have tried that before on lesser tournaments with players that were not familiar and
based on the odds of the match. It turned out to be a wasted excersize, some
winners but mostly losses. I stick with the familiar players now.

Same here, even If I look for some sites that give tips and predictions about the incoming games or tournaments, still a miss or hit as far as my betting exercise goes. So really not advisable, unless you really throw some money on underdogs and then him the jackpot from those huge odds. Tennis tournaments are held every month, no need to bet on every single one of them. Just use our betting money wisely and we will be good when some big tournament comes. At least just like saving your money and then goes all-in on one great tournament with a lot of high rank players entering.
3134  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you scared? on: September 19, 2021, 08:08:54 AM
Bitcoin plummeted again on September 7 2021.BTC dropped by 54.7% on March 12 last year, by 12.54% on September 3 last year, and by 29.99% on May 19 this year. And 18.65% on September 7.
There were four reasons for the fall on September 7th:
1,The fall in US stocks caused Bitcoin to fall at the same time.
2,Singapore regulation.
3, SEC wants to sue coinbase.
4,It is related to El Salvador
Are you scared? Is there any hope for the future?
Fear occurs in people who are not sure of the established strategy and do not set a loss target in investment. I never thought behind the market downturn there were some reasons as you mentioned. I only learned from an experience, when there is a decline this could be a correction. don't rush the decision to sell all assets, I'm sure the crytocurrency season will last until the end of the year.
When the price of a cryptocurrency is falling, you can overcome it by doing a technical analysis. This is done to see if the price of your crypto asset will rise again, or fall deeper. If I see it, the market is currently in a sideways period after experiencing a decline a few weeks ago and has the potential to experience a technical rebound. But the technical rebound is also a bit long, maybe in the next few months.

Nah, I don't think that when your portfolio is down, you will immediately go to TA, Lol. All you have to do is just remain calm during the storm and not to panic. If you do TA and see that the price will still continue to go down then what?

It's just the experience, some have been in crypto for years that when they see the price going down, they don't panic, but rather take advantage of the situation and buy the dip.
3135  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 vaccination becoming a criteria to live in the world on: September 18, 2021, 10:11:15 PM
I'm not sure why there's such a large push for vaccine mandates when the vaccine works on an individual basis. Whether someone else gets vaccinated has no effect on you, yet they expect you to talk around triple masked after vaxxed, or might impose regulation on businesses when case counts go up? It's nonsense, and there isn't any actual science behind it. Covid is just going to keep mutating and it seems seasonal lockdowns might be a thing and more probable than a forced vaccine program.

Because reducing the number of infection vectors is a major part of defeating the virus.  The more people who are vaccinated, the fewer bodies the virus can propagate in.  Vaccines, masking, social distance- all three of these reduce infections.  It's insane at this point there are still people who don't understand how this works, but that's exactly why the world is still as bad off as it is- people who question why vaccines are necessary or why there are mask mandates.  You're very clearly part of the problem.

And we feel sorry for those who don't understand the difference between unvaccinated person getting the virus vs vaccinated one. It reduces the risk of people dying, as opposed to those who don't want or don't believed in vaccine and its good effect. I've seen people around me dead because they are unvaccinated, just sad but that's the way it is. I'm fully vaccinated now, everyone of us, the whole family and the good thing is that it's free, so I don't understand why there are still people not wanting to get it, until its too late.
3136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next stop $85K for Bitcoin on: September 18, 2021, 09:46:22 PM
Market price speculators are out again to great Fud as they are used to. It seems as the $100k that was initially speculated didn't come to fulfilment and there is no hope of it coming pass the only option is now to reduce it to a current $85k. If you are new in the system here please not the market analysis here you can take to the bank.

I don't think this is FUD, they are basing their prediction or at least Glassnode on the data they gathered and plot a pattern. A FUD is like predicting the market to go down, not to up to $85k from the current base price. $100k is the initial prediction because that's what other data has pointed out early, but since we are about to end the year, there has been a lot of changes, that haven't been taken into account, like the fall from $64k to $29k. So prediction changes as this is not exact.
3137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 18, 2021, 11:23:15 AM
Nets should just pull the trigger to end this quickly if they really want him out but it sounds stupid to let Irving go at this point when the league is about to start. They should know by now the importance of a deep roster since they were eliminated last season because of injuries.

And team chemistry as well. If they kept him on their roster, there could be some friction in the locker room or if Irving keeps going into the public with his issues with the management, maybe sooner or later someone will step up and tell Irving that he might take it negatively. So it's better for them to start the season not just healthy but have a positive attitude towards winning a champion because that is their main goal. No need for some distractions and drama around.
True. That is why going public with the trade plan now is plain stupid to me if they are only fishing for potential teams that will be interested. They should have done it earlier if he was really a problem to the management or just waited for the next transfer window.

I'm imagining what it could have been if they pushed for an Irving - CP3 trade before he signed a new deal.

That's the reason why they cannot get the perfect blend they want since they choose to trade their solid rooster while the fact is they didn't tested well last season, if they choose to retain Irving and try to run again with their current line up with Harden and Durant then most provably they will get a better chance since they already know how to run with this guys around. But of they choose to drop irving in exchange with other player then they are back at rebuilding stage even if they still have two stars left.

It could be, but if Irving is going to be trade, for sure they will get a superstar that is willing to adjust or have the experience already. So there's no rebuilding stage, just some adjustments and they are good to go the finals and then hopefully the finals next season. So let's see what is the management decision, or maybe we will see a different version of Irving because he doesn't want to lose or be drop by a team that gives him a good multi million dollar salary and to work with two of the best offensive players we have right now.
3138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - October 5 on: September 18, 2021, 10:49:21 AM
I check one sports bookies and this is what I got for the odds:

ML: Lopez @1.08, Kambosos @6.60

What a disparity of the odds, I thought that it will be very close, but then again, this bookies are looking for the record and specially if you are a undefeated and the champion then you will see such a huge odds.

In any case, those saying that Kambosos might pull an upset then this is the time to bet on him because of the good and very attractive odds.

The odds can't be close because Kambosos I just a mandatory challenger while Teofimo Lopez is the unified champion. But being a huge underdog, i'm still rooting for Kambosos in this fight as I thought that Lopez's win against Loma is a fluke and if you look at the fight record of Lopez, we could say that still, he is not so experienced.

Yeah and besides that, George Kambosos doesn't have that name in this division yet. I'm just quite surprise though how bookies give him an overwhelming odds @6.60 at the start. And as I emphasize, for those who loves a good underdog, Kambosos is good to put some bet on him this early.

I'm going to wait for Kambosos via decision odds, I think that would be attracted than the ML.

I reckon it could be close? I'm not expecting Kambosos to have an attractive odd of 10.00 or something via a decision odds, but I might be wrong here.
3139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Underage gambling is an epidemic on: September 18, 2021, 09:30:29 AM
At 14 years old, I don't understand why it's easy for you to test gambling. Most people at that age even that are even exposed to gambling are not interested since there are lots of things they can do like video games, computer games, mobile games.

At that age, they won't bother registering on the site and deposit a money. How can they deposit money on crypto in the first place? The exchange needs KYC before you can make a deposit with your fiat. And even before that, where are you getting your money?

I guess it's one of the negative aspect of online, you can just play anytime even at a young age of 14 years old. He may have started with the CSGO Skins gambling with become a phenomena, you can read another story here, 16 years old turn into a compulsive gambler:

https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/18510975/how-counter-strike-turned-teenager-compulsive-gambler

So it's a billion dollar industry, and every young kids are hook into it.
3140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 17, 2021, 11:45:16 PM
Boxing would be boring if there's no trash talk, it's not in line with real competition like the Olympics where a fighter represents his country. In professional boxing, it's entertainment, and for people to be entertained, their attention should be called that's why Casimero's style is very effective because the world already notices him and knows him now.
Yes, it's all about entertainment and as well as the glory of the boxer and whoever is going to be a winner. The style that Casimero showed was truly effective for him.
When this match is done on December, maybe he'll do the same again with another boxer and closely it's going to be with Donaire.

Exactly, but Casimero does trash talk in his other fight, but this one is very different, against Inoue and Donaire, other might say he goes out of the line, but it is what we call entertainment and for sure everyone is entertain with the antics of Casimero.

Yeah, waiting for the final announcement this December, hopefully the fight will push through so that before the end of the year we are going to see which boxer can back up this talk.
