3121  Economy / Speculation / Re: October Bitcoin bull month. on: October 04, 2021, 01:17:03 AM
Attempted breakout on 1hr bars, reversing back to prior resistance level.   Have to watch this isnt the top for now, its quite important we resolve upwards between resistance and momentum.  Near term 48k would be nice but imo just above 45k is viable for any pullback to continue upwards anyway and that also is the weekly average which I consider a reliable gauge as to ongoing sentiment in price action.

Yeah, I'm also watching the trading pattern right now, and it seems that we have reach $49k but it reverted back to the resistance level again. Above $43k would be good in my opinion, that is the next support level and we haven't gone to this level another a pullback.

Too early for this week though, we might see an attempt to break $48k in the next hour, so let's see how it goes. It seems we have reach the peak of the upward sentiments.
3122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - October 5 on: October 04, 2021, 12:47:29 AM
^^ And with that decision by Triller, they've lost a lot of money already. If there's no main card in October 16, then fans for sure are not going to buy tickets because everyone wanted to see Lopez fight again after he won against Loma.

And I don't think that they have the case to ask a boxing body to remove a mandatory fighter on their list. Yeah, it might be a respond to Kambosos, but it doesn't make sense at all.

First, just want to give a link about this news - https://www.worldboxingnews.net/2021/10/03/teofimo-lopez-george-kambosos-pulled/.

Reading this article, you can feel there's so much drama after so many delays and now this fight being cancelled.
Bookies are right not to list this match because this fight has all the uncertainty you can get.
Maybe, it is time to stop anticipating this fight to happen. There's too much politics involved among promoters here.

Actually, the main issue here is money, if the price is right, then probably we will not see the price being cancelled or move. It's on the promoters side to ensure that the fight will happen as they are risking the reputation of the boxers, there's a contract already, so I guess they should abide by the contract even if they'll make lesser in this fight as long as they deliver.

I think the money is really good for both fighters, it's a 65-35 split, but after numerous postponement, the camp of Kambosos just wanted a small compensation. Now it left a bad taste for us as the fight is not going to happen in October 16.

So maybe when Kambosos demanded for money and asking Triller to be removed in the picture, in retaliation Triller just decided to scrap this fight. So both fighter are not getting their money, and then Triller losing millions in return. Bad management decision, and it just shows how they are really new in the world of promoting big fights. Of course they can still future fights from the 4 governing bodies as it's always a purse bid, but we do hope that they learned a big lessons here. Or maybe Triller should stick to exhibition fights only?
3123  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think about this? on: October 03, 2021, 02:31:03 PM
That situation is more on the ethical part since there's a reason why most platforms never disclose the issue on why users get banned and at the same time some sites even encourage their players to use VPN when it's against their own rules and it could put their players at risk if KYC becomes a requirement. Then again some sites do mention the reason or at least provide some proofs on how accounts get flagged with multi accounting, I remember back then fortunejack received a complaint in their thread and they provided some deposit address that was related between the two.

Yeah, that's the real issues on some crypto platforms, they never disclose the reason for banning an account, they will only said that they have some kind of evidence that the user is cheating. But the user will tell us otherwise, so it's like a "he said she said". There are some kind of arbitration though.

Anyhow, I guess it's case to case basis, whether it's ethical or morale, still the benefit of the doubt is still on the gamblers who have been accused of cheating.
3124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: October 03, 2021, 01:37:41 PM
Skils and and mental advantages are both with Alvarez, no doubts that's how bookies see this event.

Obviously, as it reflected on the odds easily, Caleb could be undefeated but taking on Alverez is a nightmare, either he will get KO here or he will suffer from serious injury, just like what happened to the opponent of Canelo in his last fight.

No one would think now that Canelo would lose, if we just look at the previous fights of Canelo, we will be convinced that he is unbeatable. Anyways, for those who would insist, I would like to know what are the reasons why you think Caleb Plant could pull an upset here? willing to listen.

I do think that Canelo will win as well. I also can't see how Caleb Plant will upset Canelo, of course, if he caught Canelo with a good power punch then maybe he can score a knock out, but that chance are very slim. We've seen GGG hit him hard, but Canelo just shake it off and we didn't see him buckle a bit because Canelo has a granite chin as well. So it's really difficult for Caleb, unless really a one hail mary shot that will put Canelo in the canvass and can't beat the 10 count.
3125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 03, 2021, 12:05:02 PM
^^ Yeah, no one expected that Shapovalov will lost to Norrie in this tournament. Seems that Norrie is really on form this year as he recorded a lot of wins against top 20 opponents, really surprising how he outclassed Dennis in just 2 sets here.

He will be facing Rublev, not sure if he can continue to show his form against Rublev, maybe 3 sets again for Rublev? over 21.5?
Seems like norrie is really at top form he defeated rublev yesterday 2 1 and he was a set behind i did not expect that since rublev was doing really good recently and he will be facing casper ruud who defeated dimitrov 2 1 too and he is really difficult to beat i think we will se another 3 set match.

Yeah, good win as the match goes into a 3 set match.

Norrie was down in the 1st, but he come back strong, 3-6, 6-3,6-4. He saved 3 break points in the 3rd game and that was enough to mentally beat Rublev.

So it will be Ruud vs Norrie, I'm seeing a 3 set match again here, @1.84, good odds again.

3127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: October 02, 2021, 12:51:10 PM
Maybe in future , the fight will happen for Casimero and Inoue but for now lets accept the truth about Butler being his opponent.

There's no maybe, the fight between Casimero and Inoue will really happen. It already arrange last year but the pandemic cancelled it. Casimero just needs to win his next fight and after that, he can challenge Inoue and I think the WBO won't mandate another fight to him. It will happen next year if he won. But in case of loss, we can expect that no more Casimero vs Inoue.

Yeah, it will definitely happen in the future, the verbal war has started and I doubt that it will just end it that way. Everything will be answered inside the ring. I do still think that Casimero will have a crack against Inoue, it might take long though, but definitely a win is a sure fire ticket for a Casimero vs Inoue clash for unification of their belts. Let Casimero first do his business with Butler and then we will see what happens next.

Coinbase Multi-Factor Authentication Hack Affects at Least 6,000 Customers

A vulnerability that allowed hackers to bypass Coinbase’s multi-factor authentication SMS option has affected at least 6,000 of the exchange’s customers, according to a notification letter sent to affected customers that the company has filed with the California state attorney general offices.

https://www.coindesk.com/business/2021/10/01/coinbase-multi-factor-authentication-hack-affects-at-least-6000-customers/

The thing is that this hack happens months ago and it's just this month that Coinbase acknowledge it.

So we don't know why it took them so long to take responsibility, in any case Coinbase are going to reimburse those 6000 customers that have been affected by the hacks.

Quote
Coinbase also says it will reimburse those who lost funds as a result of the phishing attack, and that it has already begun to make customers whole. The company did not disclose the total amount the hackers stole.

3130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 02, 2021, 09:20:54 AM
Westbrook addition is already huge, another player who pushes the ball and for sure the Lakers are going to run this season eventhough some of them are already in thir mid 30's.

Russell Westbrook is seen as still being athletic at his age. The early '30s is not a veteran to consider but just not playing already on their 100% prime. I don't know what kind of training Westbrook is underdoing but he's becoming stronger and still a high leaper even past his prime. If Lebron will be injured or sidelined, the Lakers are still in good hands but of course no one wants that to happen as we like to see all are healthy throughout the season.

And I think that's what the Lakers is doing this year. Last year was the worst, No Bron and AD, but we thought that someone can still step up, unfortunately no one did. That's why they got so many players that can carry the team even without them (hopefully they won't get injured). Westbrook is one of them, even at Washington he can still leaped and give us that dunks that posterised many players during his prime. Even winning games that are very close against high caliber team, so I expect the same Westbrook or even more.
3131  Economy / Speculation / Re: October Bitcoin bull month. on: October 02, 2021, 08:42:12 AM
We don't know that yet since there's a lot of negative news regarding bitcoin and little to no good news to affect the movement of the market, hopefully we can see bitcoin being able to make some bullish move this month but I don't have to worry too much about it.
Sometimes I don’t believe the news that is spreading around that is responsible for Bitcoin price movement at any point in time, bitcoin has gone above the stage where just any news affects its price I think the traders and whales are responsible for whatever price action we see in the market.

Yeah, but the news that we are reading regardless of positive is negative is one the move the price with the help of the whales. Bitcoin is a speculative asset and any news going out the public are affecting the sentiments of the investors newbies or experience a like.

So as much as we hate it, there is still has an impact on the price. Of course, dent could be short or long term, but still we can't discount the fact that everyone is riding on the news, thus FOMO'ism.
3132  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will $50,000 be the resistant price? on: October 01, 2021, 12:53:26 PM
Candlesticks are on a different level as accumulation is common among market makers in the face of influence from China FUD and the Fed.  The day the green wick can break this level, and before that I remain optimistic that October will be the show of bitcoin and soon Taproot.  Bitcoin has shown readiness to Break Out past $50k next week, maybe the data will show a huge green candle

It has to go to $45k-$48k before going past $50k again. And it might take some time, hopefully the next 3 weeks will be very strong because we need to have a good bounce and recovery again after the September fall.

Currently we went from $42k-$47k, so it's a green candle already. So if we broke $48k, sustain it, then we will have a momentum to hit $50k in the second week. October historically as opposed to September, is very good as it is the start of the next bull run up to December.
3133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Cash was no scam. on: October 01, 2021, 12:03:01 PM
Not defending anyone, but a project who uses another successful project's name? Like Bitcoin and then we have Bitcoin Cash? We all know what happens to the latter though, no support from the community and the people behind have been branded as scamming people around because they pretend to be the true Bitcoin?

This might be the case here and that's why investors think that this is just another scam projects that is taking advantage of Litecoin's name.
3134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - October 5 on: October 01, 2021, 11:07:37 AM
Triller cannot seem to do anything right. They already had a date and venue agreed upon only to change their minds and delay the fight again without having Kambosos' approval. They have not taken their duty as a promoter seriously and I think Kambosos has every right to want their bid defaulted so that another promoter will take over the event.

I think it has something to do with other fights, like the Alvarez vs Plant.

But yes, I agree, they really made a big mistakes moving the venue, the dates, just shows how the company is handled internally. Hopefully, Kambosos or Triller settled it, fans are excited about this fight because of the hype and the trash talk.

Recently, Lopez issued a statement that he it will be violence in the ring, even predicting that a broken eye socket might happen in this fight, hehehe.

I like that being aggressive of him, I hope it would really happen that they will give a good fight, we know Lopez is good but we can't underestimate Kambosos too because he too is a warrior. This is a battle of two warriors, not only good in trash-talking outside but also good in giving their best in the ring. No pressure for Kambosos but I see the pressure from Lopez here as he was coming from a big win against Loma.

And that's why we are eagerly awaiting for this fight to happen.

They have done their part of trash talking and bad mouthing each other on the press on the social media platform. But it seems that we will see a postponement or worst we won't see the fight this year because of so many issues by Triller themselves. Kambosos is trying to make a name for himself in the US so this fight is also very important for him to win so there is pressure as well.
3135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 01, 2021, 10:17:46 AM
It's simple, if Carmelo misses a few bad shots, then automatically, he needs to be replaced by someone. Just a couple of minutes to relax again in the bench.

It's not simple. What if while Carmelo is missing shots, but he is contributing well to other aspects of the game like assist, rebounds, and backcourt plays, is he still be subject to a quick substitution? The rotation is based on originally provided minutes. Even the player is performing well, there are really times that a coach will still choose to bench those guys especially if not part of the solid starting lineup. Lots of bench players that doing good but still ended up mostly on the bench warming the sits.

Vogel needs to space his other players as well, even other coaches might bench someone if he is missing shots specially a player of Carmelo's caliber (no longer in his prime). There are times in Portland last year that he was bench because he is shooting awfully. What more in the Lakers line up wherein there is a lot that can replace him like THT, Malik Monk or Nunn, more younger, more legs and could contribute even more in both are (defense and offense). That's why I said Vogel will not make things complicate that will cause him problems later if he keep Anthony on the court with a bad shooting percentage.
3136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 01, 2021, 09:30:12 AM
@Kemarit yes, I checked the bookies don't see the result with my bet (this often happens in bookies where I bet, getting longer results for canceled matches or when there are players who walkover), so checked the google I found it that Ivashka walkover.

In other tournaments ATP San Diego, the quarter-final between Rublev vs. Schwartzman could be a tight match, their last meeting was the Laver Cup won by Rublev in 3 sets, very possible 3 sets again.

@Strongkored so if a player walks away does your bookie credit you for winning or they term the bet void, cause I remember seeing on social media about a gambler rant that the bet was declared void when the player walked away, and he felt he should have been paid for winning it.

Also Rublev will have a psychological advantage due to winning their last meet, but he can’t afford to be relaxed in this game, and he’ll have to bring his best game to beat Schwartzman again.

Let me answer that, as per my experienced, usually bookies voided your bet, meaning you will be credited back the amount you put a bet on that match.

Yeah, looking at the ATP San Diego as well, I will have to agree again, this could be a 3 setter, if not Rublev to win by handicap. Usually though, I go bet against Schwartzman, I don't know, but when it seems that he is in a roll suddenly he will play very bad and lose his momentum specially when reaching the quarterfinals.
3137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 30, 2021, 11:18:04 PM
I don't trust him in the Center position, not because he can't play that position but because he is so fragile. One injury will make him sit half the regular season lol.

In today's league status, a Center position is not really taken as a big deal now where everything is making shots on the rainbow area. While Anthony Davis is more of a Power Forward, he can switch gears to a Center position while maintaining plays for his usual Power Forward position. About the supposed injury he might get, regardless of what position he will play, an injury can happen any time.

Anyways, Anthony Davis already make it clear that he will play as a Center and try to adjust: Lakers’ Anthony Davis is ready and willing to play more at center
We will see if this is going to be an effective change and adjustment to them. I'm not fond of watching AD at that position but they know what's best for them.
Let's see if they can make this up and if it's going to be an effective positioning to the team. As he said, if he's willing and ready then at least we've heard it from him that he has prepared for this.

He said that last year… I guess he’s continued to get bigger and stronger, so maybe that’s possible. Personally I think him and Dwight Howard on the court at the same time makes a defensive monster down low. I’m really anxious to see how they fit Carmelo into the game plan. I’m also curious how LeBron is going to handle Carmelo when he misses a few bad shots in a row.

Yeah, him and Dwight in the middle at the same time will be a big wall in the middle. We have seen it during their championship run and it's very effective. And Davis is still hitting his prime, although he has been injured many times, he can still bang and play the center position for the Lakers if needed.

It's simple, if Carmelo misses a few bad shots, then automatically, he needs to be replaced by someone. Just a couple of minutes to relax again in the bench.
3138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: September 30, 2021, 03:14:31 PM
I can't seem to find an update on where and when it will happen. Tried to search it but most of the links are 6-8 days ago.
If its mandatory, shouldn't WBC make an announcement already? Because there is no going back in it for it was an order.

Gaballo would not back off in this fight even if Donaire is his idol. Somewhere in the corner of their mind they may have expected they will also fight each other someday.
I was a bit confused about what he said here.
Quote
"I really want to fight my idol Nonito Donaire but it also depends on my boss and WBC. I am a fighter and what I want is to fight and win. That is my mindset," Gaballo said.
Depends on my boss and WBC? But it was already said as mandatory and the article was written September 23rd.
https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/sports/boxing/804340/reymart-gaballo-won-t-step-aside-for-donaire-vs-casimero/story/

Most likely it will happen in December. WBC ordered the mandatory fight, and so the manager of the two fighters will have to agree and sit down about the purse split. And maybe after that we might hear an official announcement from either of their promoters or managers. It is not the WBC that will officially announced it. So we will have to wait for the final date, but definitely this will happen before the much anticipated another all Filipino clash of Donaire and Casimero.
3139  Economy / Speculation / Re: New (old) FUD coming from China? on: September 30, 2021, 02:03:02 PM
Another wave of Bitcoin FUD is coming from China as the Chinese central bank claimed that local state agencies have improved tools to fight against crypto transactions more effectively.

Quote
The Chinese government is getting more serious about cracking down on the cryptocurrency industry as state authorities are bringing forces to combat crypto operations in the country.

The People’s Bank of China (PBoC) officially announced on Friday a set of new measures to fight against crypto adoption in China, including promoting stronger inter-departmental coordination in cracking down crypto activity.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/chinese-regulators-unite-forces-to-crack-down-on-crypto

Can this negatively affect the price of Bitcoin or has the market already reacted to it because it is old news?

In my opinion, the impact of the news of China's central bank banning cryptocurrencies is clearly a negative sentiment for Bitcoin and altcoin prices. Since the news emerged the prices of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Coin, Dogecoin, Polkadot, etc. are back in a downward trend until now. Even Bitcoin had experienced a decline in price to the level of $41k. In fact, before the news, Bitcoin was still in the range of $52k.

But there could be other reasons and not just this supposedly FUD coming from China again.

Bitcoin future expirations usually take the price down every 3rd or 4th week of the month. And for me this is one reason, why we have a sudden crash again to $41k. But after it has been settled, it will recover very fast and then the cycle continues.

So for newbies, don't be dishearten and affected by every news coming from China or the downturn on the last week of every month because of bitcoin future expirations. The market will not go on parabolic rise. We might hit $52k again or even more in October.
3140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 30, 2021, 10:50:53 AM
Anyone betting on the Sofia tournament?

I'm following Sinner who is defending champion from last year. Hes is playing
Gerasimov tomorrow and is heavy favourite. There are a lot of well known players
competing.
As seeded as well as the defending champion makes him a huge favorite here, and he has a great chance of winning again this year.
Today's match that I think is interesting to follow and choose as a bet is I. Ivashka vs. G. Monfils and I choose over 20.5.

Ivashka is slight favourite I see I have Millman to beat Marchenko and De Minaur
seeded 3 to beat Giron as well as Sinner of course.

There are a lot of matches which are close affairs, another interesting one is Duckworth
who has been fairly decent this season playing Paire who is as we know unpredictable.

I haven't put a bet, but when I check the score, it is very close and the match is still on-going.

@Strongkored - I agree with your prediction, Ivashka vs. G. Monfils could on a 3 set so it could be over at 20.5. Or just 2 sets, but its going to be close, maybe a tie break on the first set and then 6-4 on the second. So let's see odds @1.84.
