2121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: June 05, 2022, 01:22:43 PM
Pretty much disappointed on the performance of Kambosos here. He was really schooled by Haney's super jab and defense as he was not hit clean in this fight. You can see his face still clean after 12 rounds while George face is somewhat battered by that stiff jab the Haney throws all throughout the fight. I guess Kambosos 15 minute of fame is over now. The belt is going back to the US and for sure American fighters are now going to chase Haney.

The total scores say it all, not even close. Yeah, we were expecting that Kambosos with his aggressiveness will give Haney trouble, but it didn't happen, it was a one-sided fight and I think there's no need for a rematch on this fight as it's very obvious that we will still see the same winner in the rematch.

9 out of 10, Haney will beat Kambosos anytime of the day. And Devin made George look amateurish in that fight, Lol. You don't know what Kambosos is trying to accomplished, is she doing the Philly shell stance? with his elbow outside? Just like what Romero did against Tank Davis. But this time, George didn't adapt and just used one strategy, that is try to overwhelm Haney which is very obvious in the first 3 rounds that it is going to work and his corner didn't give him good advise.
2122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 05, 2022, 12:08:08 PM
I check the time, I thought that match is about to start now, but it seems it has been moved 1 hour late. Anyway, the odds for Ruud to win is 5:1 and the line open for Nadal at 1.17 ML, handicap at -6.5.

Guess it's just what the score or how many sets Nadal is going to win the title at Roland Garros. And let's just look at Coco Gauff bright side, she shows a lot of promises by reaching the finals, who at just 18 years old and could be another of those face that will be the future for women's tennis.
2123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 19 on: June 05, 2022, 11:26:03 AM
Garcia is young and talented, he will go for more fights most probably but to remain the good hype, he must won against Fortuna or else this can be the start of his falling career.

Compared to Davis, Isaac Cruz, and Romero its a cherry-picked fight but a much better fighter than Tagoe, the Tagoe fight is a huge disappointment because Tagoe keeps ducking and just running all night, things will be different this time against Fortuna because he'll be facing a former two-time champion, depending on the outcome of the fight we'll see if Ryan is ready to take big names, I don't think he is ready against Tank based on his last fight against Tagoe, his promoters need a much more convincing fight.

Yes, Golden Boy shows something in the Tagoe fight that's why he stay away from Isaac Cruz and chooses a small risk, good reward in Javier Fortune. And now that Haney is the undisputed, all roads lead to him right now and Ryan for sure would love to fight Haney in the States.

But first he get to get and win against Fortuna, make it as emphatic victory as he can be. But they have to understand that they won't be the A-side when they deal with Haney or even Tank Davis. They had to agree at what terms this fighters are going to put in the table and Garcia should accept it without hesitation.

Garcia should be extra motivated this fight and not allow Fortuna to obstruct a possible fight with Haney in the future.

So he should take this opportunity to impressed us so that it will create a hype even more if he goes after Davis or Haney in his next fight. Money shouldn't be the issue here, there are plenty, PPV numbers, live gates, it will be in millions that he can't refused if being offered, even at 40% split purse.
2124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You See Or Tell If A Fight Or Event Is Fix ? on: June 04, 2022, 10:20:17 PM
It could be on basketball, boxing or horse racing, or any kind of sport, after being in a particular sport for many years can you see or tell if a fight or event is fixed, there are upsets but in the back of our mind, there's a possibility that the match or game is fixed.

Well if you see that when your superstar is not playing his usual self, then maybe you can tell that he deliberately taking a dive and wanted to lose the game in any purpose. So I will say there are tall tale signs that it is fixed. Could be different at first, but you know when sports bookies notice some swing of bets, that's where the investigations starts specially in basketball, wherein what they call point-shaving. There was one player caught with it and his career was over.

2125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 Billion USTC Burned ! possible X100 Increase on: June 04, 2022, 09:48:27 PM
Well that's the first goal right, peg it to 1:1 as this is so called stable coins. But still that's a long way to go from the current price. And specially with the way the market is moving right now, I seriously doubt that they can back from its glory days. I mean the investors lost a lot of money on them, and you can't fool this investors twice. In the first place, why do they go with this kind of strategy anyways, it's not the first time that we've seen coins even though billions have been burn, the tokens is still not worth to their projected price.
2126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet on: June 04, 2022, 09:27:35 PM
Nah, I wouldn't dare to go that far and take a loan to put everything in sports betting. It's not a guarantee that your team will win. What if they losses? what's your plan on how to pay those loans? So it's very risky so I don't like the sound of it.

And those information that you get about those soccers, not sure how you can call it reliable. Maybe they are, but still, there are no assurance.
2127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: June 04, 2022, 01:50:20 PM

I love though how George twist that not making the weight and says that it's just a psyche war and trying to get into Haney's head.

Haney is ready for that, both are champions and they are both ready physically and mentally. George has to be confident because he is fighting in front of his fans, he is representing his country, and if he wins, that brings glory to the country.

IMO, for this fight to not last a trilogy, Kambasos has to beat Haney by KO, a defeat that Haney will never forget.

Well, we do hope that he can really back up his antics and trash talking here. So it's either his actions tonight will make him great or idiot if he losses and then blame that he is weight drain.

So now he will have an excuse because he didn't make the weight the first try. Haney said that he is dry, while he looks he has made the weight comfortability without draining itself. Of course if he can back all the talks then a knock out win will be just the final nail in the coffin for Haney.
2128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 04, 2022, 12:48:10 PM
Cilic is up after first set with Ruud

was not aware of that, but Cilic is first active player out of top4 (top3 with Murray) that reached semi-finals on all GS
it was a domination decade, or fifteen years, and it is a question does it near to an end

Ruud has break in second set, but Cilic is closer to final, IMO

Cilic had a great opportunity to play in the finals of the RG, but he once again succumbed to the pressure, as many times before.
After a long time, Cilic played very well in one GS tournament and was realistically the favorite in this semifinal match.
Unfortunately, Čilić played here for himself and for Ruud, he made a lot of mistakes and practically gave the victory to the opponent.
Realistically, Nadal is the absolute favorite in the final and anything but his victory would be a very big surprise.

But Nadal against Ruud is not that bad, just have to look at what betting options we got.

The womens finals is about to start, same as with Nadal's case, Swiatek is the favorite to win and it will take a lot from Gauff to win even a set against Iga here. We haven't seen this kind of performance from a lady since the Williams sister, specially Serena incredible run during her prime.
2129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: June 03, 2022, 11:25:47 PM
^^ Or who has the better skills to adjust as the round progresses. If Haney frustrates Kambosos, then what he will do after? or if Kambosos is hitting Haney at will, how will Haney cover to avoid getting a knock out?

So this is really a good match in paper, Haney might have a slight advantage in height, but it doesn't matter, I think it's negligible. So we will find out tomorrow, who will adjust more and has better strategy.
2130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More SOL outages = Price dump on: June 03, 2022, 10:57:55 PM
Seems no blockchain is 100% sound after all.sol was so praised by many crypto enthusiasts that will be a shame the network is facing such a mess and the dev are currently helpless. I hope they find a way around this because it won't be good to see another top alts crumble.

Maybe except bitcoin's blockchain. As with the issues, if falls on the hands of the devs to remedy the situation. This is not the first time, so they should have a least learn from the first one and find a way around otherwise this is going to be a huge problem for them in the future. I'm not generalizing, but I think the devs are just sitting around after they roll out their projects. They should still be 100% hands on on this so that they can see where the potential issues are going to come. Currently the price of Sol is down 7% just like the rest of the altcoin market.
2131  Economy / Speculation / Re: A crash where Bitcoin wasn't responsible should be treated as such on: June 03, 2022, 09:56:56 PM
Of course recovery will happen, I can't talk about if it will be fast or not, but I can say that it will happen. This is why I believe that we should be just holding for the time being. Maybe it will happen soon, maybe it will happen very late, but I know for a fact that it will eventually happen. So we should not just hope for a quick one and leave it at that, we should just hold even for a very long term one. That will get things going very profitably for us in the long run, people who buy from the current prices will end up with making a ton of money in the long run and that should be good enough of a reason to buy and hold.
You are right but it is precisely that uncertainty the one that ends up making a lot of people to sell their coins for a bad price, we know bitcoin has experimented both bull runs and crashes, however bitcoin always comes back stronger after each crash but it takes time for it to recover, and since the 2017 crash was so profound and it lasted for so long people are afraid that something like that could happen again, and when we also take into consideration that many of those which invested during the last bull market never had any intention to hold for so long then we can see how it can be difficult for them to endure this bear market.

If it happen again like the 2018-2020 bearish trend then so be it. Just proved that we are indeed in a cycle and there are factors that can affect the price whether we like it or not. The Luna effect was not seen I supposed, because we even have a thread that they are the one causing a good bounce to above $45k if I'm not mistaken because they are buying their reserves with bitcoin. But it was the wrong move as it triggers a domino effect that literally put their price to 0 and then bitcoin going down below $30k because they have to cover what they have lost. Nevertheless, this bear market has open up new opportunities to us to buy cheap bitcoin again and keep on going until this bear market ends in 2 years.
2132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: June 03, 2022, 09:30:20 PM
Yes, it's too early to conclude, but the Celtics played a perfect game and shoot very well in the outside. And I must say that maybe the long rest could have affected. them negatively. And I think this is the first time that they have lost in their home court. But not that alarming, they can go back and bounce and take game 2 to make it 1-1 before going on the road. Who knows, they can steal 1 game just like what Boston did to them. So this series become more exciting and maybe a game 7 again is on the line.
2133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 03, 2022, 09:06:59 PM
Anybody watching Nadal-Zverev? Really strange second set with bunch of breaks, WTA stuff. Not a good day for Zverev, spilling 6:2 in set one tie break, not managing to serve out for second set and just now bad ankle twist. I think this match is over and most bets are off. If he comes back after this I'll be really surprised.

Hopefully this will not be a long break for him, but it did not look good.

Really a sad outcome of the match. Really bad injury for Zverev and now he will be off the field for a really long time and he was really close to that no1 position. Nadal is just lucky and has a good chance to win the rolan garros again

Very unfortunate ending for Zverev, we don't want players to end their game with injury specially in a grand slam semifinals match.

So now it will be Nadal vs Ruud, first man from Norway. But I think with the way Nadal is playing, he might win another RG and put cemented his name as the best clay court player.

Wish Zverev's injury is not that bad, just a ankle twist.
2134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good for future hold? on: June 02, 2022, 10:39:01 PM
If this crypto market correction keeps going on is HEX a good altcoin to add into your crypto portfolio? I have heard about this altcoin for a long time now even while many believe its a pyramid scheme project but it doesn't look like one anymore, what do you think about HEX project let's discuss.

I thought that HEX has died already, Lol, so there are still investors on this projects?

Anyway, I won't trash talk HEX I think the community knows more than I do and that's why it seems that this project is very quiet even during last year's bull run. And now we are in the bear market, most likely there will be no move. So for me, I don't think it's good for a future hold, just saying. I think the hype on this project has died down already.
2135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Elon Musk and the BitVex.org scam - You have been warned!!! on: June 02, 2022, 10:10:06 PM
Hilarious  Grin Grin

It's funny how scammer get to such lengths. I watched the video and couldn't help but laugh

Yes, it's funny in the beginning, but it's really hard not to see if this is fake because as what everyone said, this is another level from these cyber criminals.

And maybe scammers will have the last laugh here if someone falls for their trick.

I reported the video. YouTube is annoying though, when you report such frauds, they sometimes don't even bother removing them or take way too long to remove them but try reporting a case of hate speech against pointless movements like LGBTQ, they will act as if they are on steroids  Undecided

It's a hit or miss, at least from my experience, sometimes Youtube are very quick to take down the reported videos. But most of the time very slow or not even removing it until the scammers have victimizes a lot to the tune of hundreds if not millions of dollars.
2136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 19 on: June 02, 2022, 09:44:58 PM
^ That will be great if he is going to be match against Isaac Cruz. I think anyone in the division is going to be a mismatch nightmare for the Pitbull and then he was power too, so he is really a danger that's why Ryan's handler is not yet ready to match him with Cruz. And they could reason that this is supposed to happen before and now that they are just obliging perhaps because of their contract with Fortuna's camp to give him a fight against Ryan. So we will see after in this fight if Garcia is ready for the big stage and fight the other champions.
2137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 02, 2022, 12:26:36 PM
Djokovic started the match really bad and didnt look like himself at all
It looks like Djokovic hasn't come to the form

I think this is harsh on Nadal. Djokovic didn't beat himself, Nadal beat him. And it's not like Djokovic was struggling at this tournament, he breezed through every match in straight sets until he came up against Nadal.
Nadal can make anyone look bad on clay. If Djokovic is missing shots, this is often because Nadal is putting him in a position where he is likely to miss them. If Djokovic is making "unforced" errors, then likely this is because he is trying too hard, going for riskier shots because he knows that anything less would not be good enough against Nadal.

Yeah, we should give credits for Nadal for making Djokovic uncomfortable specially in the final set. Djokovic missing his shots because he was pressured by Nadal and we all know that Rafa is still the king of clay, his record is astonishing in RG. Now he is the favorite to win again and it's going to be huge as it will cemented his legacy and another great story for him. As we all know that prior to this tournament, Nadal is not 100% healthy.

We already have, after this news, the price suffered and went below $30k. And as want we have discussed, this kind of debacle will have just a short term effect on the price. Now, if you are going to look at the price in the last 24 hours, we have a good recovery, and we even going to touch $32k this week I reckon. We just need not to panic because in the long run (whatever how long it will take), the price will soon back back and then we will not realized it but we are in a bull run again.

Not so fast though, as the price goes ~$30k as of this time.

Nevertheless, I still wanted to be positive this month, and this is still a buy zone for me. At $29k, anyone can make profits out of it specially if you are going to hold long term. And with that, my speculation is that we might see a positive trend to even $35k or higher at the end of the month.
2139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 02, 2022, 09:40:04 AM
So it's game 1 tomorrow night, for sure many are going to ride on the Warriors side because they have the tools to win the championship again.-3.5 is the opening line for them, but I a guess putting a bet higher for a better odds might not heard us.

So I'm going with the -4.5, current odds: 1.98.

Best of luck to all bettors,  Smiley

What have been your biggest blunders so far when it comes to cryptocurrency? We all know that how much volatile the industry is. And the things that made you regret your decision? Can you share your thoughts, guys?

Not jumping on the 'hype' early. I know this is what the market craves, but I'm very slow on it, if I have to be at least one early big and then get out before it goes down, I could have made a lot of money already.

And just like the rest, not buying during the last bearish market because they are very cheap. And now that we are again in this cycle, although the price is not that cheap as compare to 4 years ago, I wouldn't like to make the same mistakes so I will buy solid altcoin projects.
