2141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: June 01, 2022, 09:10:55 AM
^^ Because Kambosos was the mandatory of the IBF belt that Lopez hold that time. So he is obliged to fight him. Kambosos beat Lee Shelby to become the mandatory challenger for Lopez then. But we all know what happens next as Kambosos won in a split decision.

Now, he has to defend it against Haney this coming Sunday. Well there's nothing wrong in betting the champion here as the underdog, maybe he can pull it off again.
2142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 01, 2022, 07:29:01 AM
I just watched first 2 sets of this clay classic and it was extremely good tennis from both Nadal and Djoković. Some points were borderline impossible. I expected Djoković to do better after winning that 2nd set but obviously Nadal likes his king of clay mantle and doesn't plan on relinquishing it soon.

I think many, myself included, expected Djokovic to win this one. I remember last time here, Nadal started strongly but couldn't maintain it, and Djokovic won. This one looked like it might go the same way when Djokovic pulled that second set back from a double break down... unbelievable that Nadal could win it when he's not 100% and also no doubt tired from a five setter against FAA.

Yes, and probably that's one reason why he doesn't want to play at night.

And it just proved how Nadal is still the king of clay, like this performance against Djokovic. But Zverev avoided an all Spaniard semis, so it will be him against Rafa. This could be another epic match.

Cilic vs. Rublev - a 5 setter perhaps?
2143  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish market continues? on: May 30, 2022, 07:52:24 AM
The bearish market has been going on for a long time and everyone is used to the current market conditions and some people are trapped in panic selling when the market is bearish so that the bear market continues to occur at this time. whereas yesterday the market had a bullrun that broke through the $45k price but nothing could stop it so the market went down again.

Nothing can stop the market but we can only keep it for ourselves when it's a good time to go up, we just let it go and when it goes down like this.
Even though others have panicked, but until now I can still be patient to defend mine.

Patience is the key for people not to panic and sell at a loss, however, if you want to profit, then make sure you buy when the price dip as eventually it will recover and that would give you an opportunity to enjoy a short term profit. This kind of bearish market is not new to us, it happened many times in the past, and we have the trend since bearish market comes after the bull market.

If a perfect world, then yeah, this should be the mindset. However, when face with this kind of difficulty, i.e. the price is going down hard and investors specially beginners, doesn't know what to do or doesn't understand to react, they will immediately sell.

Again, for us, this is nothing new, but maybe for majority who join in last 2021, they haven't seen this before. So it will take some time for them to realized that they don't have to panicked, or at least not sell yet and just continue to be a holder and have the patience.
2144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 30, 2022, 02:32:07 AM
^ It looks like Celtics are heading to the NBA Finals with how things are going in the second quarter. Maybe one of the Heat's strategy is conserving their strength for the second half but that doesn't usually work when you're already down by double digits. It also takes double the effort to chase that huge gap. They are not the Warriors that has many many shooters they can rely on.

edit: they managed to bring down the lead to six points. Now that's more we like it. We got ourselves a good game.

And now Heat is down again with 14 points. There defence and offence become weak after there good run on the 2nd quarter. I already watch this kind of game and I'm pretty sure that Boston will them on tonights match. I doubt too the Miami Heat will give a good fight against GSW with there on and off performance. There 3s are so weak too so I will go for Boston this time.

Heat is crumbling is slowly and they allow there momentum gone on the start of 3rd quarter.

And it's a back and forth battle, when the Heat are coming back to closed the gap, suddenly 4 straight points from Brown and Tatum.

And we have the same issues for the Heat, they let themselves again in a big hole and trying to fix it by playing catch up but it's very difficult against Boston because they are comfortable when they have a good lead at the end of the 3rd and entering the decisive 4th quarter.
2145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 30, 2022, 01:57:23 AM
^ Yeah, very interesting that L. Fernandez has gone in the 4th round already while a lot of ranked ladies are falling.

Nadal vs FAA, and Alcaraz vs Khachanov. Just put a parlay on this game, +7.5 on FAA and KK +8.5 for a good 3.17 odds. I'm thinking that this could be a 3 set victory for either Nadal or Alcaraz, but maybe it will be close that the final score can be somewhat covered by FAA and KK.
I think nadal will have no problem getting past aliassime but i expect the canadian to put a good resistance and maybe win a set against nadal but for khachanov i dont think he will be able to resist alcaraz on clay.
Auger Aliassime is giving hard fight against Nadal. There is consecutive scoring for the first three points of the set. Right now Aliassime leads the first set scoring the fourth point and the set turns 3-1, but the odds for Nadal is low stating he has the increased winning probability. Aliassime have won the last two matches in direct sets, and in this match the experience might gain importance.

Yes, as I expected, FAA will be a tough match for Nadal and he forces a 5th set but he lost, and although Nadal cover the spread for me, Alcaraz though demolished KK without any problems. I was speculating that at least KK will win 1 set to cover that spread for me, but I guess Alcaraz is just too good now after those early scare.

Ruud vs. Hurkacz, -2.5 for Ruud anyone? or you think that Hurkacz might surprised as here?

Tsitsipas vs. Rune - I will go with the Over 33.5.
2146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Insanely high APY projects will lose more on: May 29, 2022, 10:32:50 PM
Warning

As bad as majority of meme coins are there is something that's way worse than meme coins and I am sure that you newbies must be aware if such projects, they normally ends with http://Finance, there are few other examples too like Safuu and Titano, these tokens have red flags written on them from day one, now if you compare these projects with Luna well Luna is still better, yes, they are that worse...... Have you look onto their charts lately? They are simply giving people what they want, get rich quick.. If you know what's good for you and your cash put them in bitcoin and stable coin.

Well it's obvious that if a project is giving a high APY this something is wrong there. I mean the era of high yield project is gone, the hype has died down and the market is saturated already.

And now the game is that everyone is trying to lower their APY because obviously it's business at the end of the day and profits is the key for this projects.

So I will agree with your warning, and everyone should be very careful specially with the market conditions that we are in right now.
2147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 29, 2022, 09:40:15 PM
We are finally going to find out the victorious team in this series tonight. Miami Heat have a really good advantage of playing home indeed. But at this stage, I don't think that it will matter much. Both teams defeated each other in away games in this series before. This must be enough proof for this as a result. I will also choose Boston Celtics to make it to the finals. I think they will defeat Miami Heat by a close point difference and become the opponent of Warriors after. I will expect to see a strong effort by Tatum in this one too.

Crucial games at home court? of course it matter much at this is a series and you want to get any advantage that you can have at this point. And so with the fans behind, the team might be push to their limits and will try to win at any cost. It will be close by I think that the Heat will Butler will win the series and face the Warriors in the finals. And this could be a defensive and chess game and not expecting the kind of big lead games.
2148  Economy / Speculation / Re: Between $24K and $27K on: May 29, 2022, 01:57:44 PM
But one thing has a high certainty---the bear market is temporary.

The bull is not a matter of if but when.
Bear market and Fort both have a temporary nature, what I have in mind is that the bear market is not perfect yet, there is still something that will happen that makes people wonder and sit pensively, some of them say it is impossible what they saw at that time.

Many people speculate on the Fort market, but no one knows the exact time, but everyone can choose and judge for themselves both markets will happen over time, the bottom line: prepare some eggs to save and ready to hatch in the next 1-2 years.

Bear and Bull market has its time here, I would say maybe 50/50, or the cycle of every 2 years. So right now we are in a bear market so possible that we will suffer up to the mid 2024 before we will see some semblance of a bull run. I know it will be tough for anyone, but the net output will be good if we have patience and wait in the next 2 years to realized our profits from buying today and HODLing.
2149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: May 29, 2022, 11:14:20 AM
What you guys think of the winner of the Kambosos vs Haney directly goes to Tank Davis who just won over Romero via knockout? I think either of these two fighters are going to be a perfect match for Davis.

I mean if Haney wins then we have a technical fighter against a boxer in Davis.

And then if George wins, a brawler vs brawler, another exciting fight that could end in a knock out.

But we will have to find out soon, this fight will be next week already.

AFAIK, there's a rematch clause on this fight, so we will not see a new opponent of the winner right away, who knows, this rival might go to a trilogy, and that means Tank Davis has to look for another fighter so he will not be stagnant. I love what Tank Davis did, he knows himself that he is a knockout puncher but at the same time he doesn't underestimate his opponent, he was very smart in that just recently concluded fight with Romero.

If there is a rematch clause then Tank will have to look for other opponents, but I'm not sure who is he going to face next, Romero is asking for a rematch with him, but I don't see Davis giving him that opportunity again as he said on the post fight.

Loma is still busy in his native country of Ukraine, while Ryan Garcia might be the logical option, or even Lopez if he can still make the LW division.

2151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Davis vs Romero: May 28 on: May 29, 2022, 09:04:57 AM
So what's next for Tank? He seemed a good draw. This fight is nonsense to the real hardcore boxing fans. Hopefully it is true that it was his last fight with Floyd Mayweather jr. Maybe Tank has woken up and is ready to decide on things for his own. He mentioned that he is interested on the winner of Kambosos and Haney. And just after his fight, the queen of boxing social media Ryan Garcia said he wants Tank next.

I would say that his dancing partner has some draw too, remember the hype leading up to the fight. And the thing is, a lot of present boxers are there to watch the fight of Davis, the gate attendance as confirmed by Ellerbe is like 19k, that's huge.

I want to see Tank destroy Ryan Garcia next, but for sure GBP is not going to take that risk and is going to protect his current cash cow.
2152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 28, 2022, 10:16:42 PM
The game between the Celtics and Heat showed the dominance of Jimmy Butler especially when his back is against a wall. Dishing out 47 points, he dominated the paint and showed confidence on why he is the best player on the league right now. Arguably, I would say that he is underrated as people underestimate his capabilities on the court. He is known to at least have any role on the court especially with his athleticism and raw strength that managed to push the Heat to a game 7.

And that's what made Jimmy Butler one of the best player right now, he showed that he can carry the Heat into the Finals with another 40 point+ performance against the Celtics.

Though this may be the case, I still doubt that the Heat (assuming they win game 7) can pass through the powerhouse of GSW. The team chemistry, individual skills, and player development of the latter is just too difficult to overcome.

It's gonna be different though, Warriors is like a well-oiled machine right now. Everyone know their piece of the puzzle and will fit perfectly on it without any struggle and I think majority here will agree to me that Warriors has a good chance to win the this years NBA championship.
2153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 28, 2022, 09:45:00 PM
Nadal has made quite an impression in this tournament so far. Especially the match against van de Zandschulp he went over it hard. While van de Zandschulp is also simply a top 30 player in the world. For me, Nadal is the favorite to win the tournament, only that young Spaniard could come close. He has recently won a tournament in which he defeated both Nadal and Djokovic. Nadal will have a hard time with that. He is the favorite in this tournament, but he also has so much experience that he knows exactly how to handle certain situations and circumstances.

The top 3 players in the world Djokovic Medvedev and Nadal all made it so easy in the french open so far is that they won in straight sets and just too easy. I think we are also so close to seeing Djokovic Nadal duel again in the french open this year aswell

Tsitsipas as well won in 3 straight sets, and as I have said, hopefully there will be no marathon match for him so that he can rest early.

The road is getting tough though, but I think Nadal can easily win against FAA in 3 sets.

Same as Djokovic against Schwartzman.

Favorite to win the crown is still Djokovic, Alcaraz and then Nadal.
2154  Economy / Speculation / Re: 🪄✨Crypto is rising on: May 28, 2022, 09:17:38 PM
"The bull market rages on".

We must really be living in different worlds, maybe even universes, because I don't recognise any bull market now, nor do I find any reason for any "raging on".

It's been sideways trading for weeks, with lower lows each opening week (think we'll hit a 9th straight "red" week).

Yes, and this is a record if we hit 9th straight weeks with red candle. Me thinks though that we might see another smashing all time high record in 2024, perhaps 6 digit?

Not that I'm calling for doom and gloom, this is normal, natural, expected, even favourable.

But a raging bull market? I'm afraid of what a rampaging bear market looks like then.

And someone has seen the bull/bear run, yes, we might say that this is a natural process and this is to be expected.

More likely a crypto winter, very cold and long days.
2155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LUNA 2.0 is live! on: May 28, 2022, 02:10:46 PM
Thanks but not sure if people are still interested after what happened to LUNA 1.0. Yeah, he price might be going up after the news, but this is going to be short term though as this could be used by manipulators to give us false hope, then pump it as hard as they can and when we think that it is a safe investment again, suddenly it will be dump. So personally, I will stay away from it as I have lost trust on the project and the people behind it.
2156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: May 28, 2022, 11:15:50 AM
I still think Warriors will dominate in the finals no matter who the opponent is.

I do believe that as well, that's why I'm so happy when they advance in the NBA Finals because I booked an 8.15 odds for them to win before.
You can see on my thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5395393.msg59917438#msg59917438

You are now close to winning your bet, mate. That's how you bet on the Finals, should be done early to fully take advantage of the odds. I admit that even with how strong and competitive those teams that currently playing for the last spot of the playoffs, the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat will have a hard time to even winning once against the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors are built differently and aside from their main cast, their young players are also playing well.

My speculation is a 4-1 Finals series score by Golden State Warriors against either Celtics or the Heat.

I love the Warriors to win, but 4-1 in the Finals, I think that's too much to ask. If the Warriors had some problem with the Memphis, I think there's no way we can underestimate their opponent, I think minimum 6, max is game 7.

It's hard to discredit either of the East team that will face the Warriors in the finals.

So maybe a 6 games series, 4-2 in their favor might be a good bet, although I was wrong with the Dallas series as I predicted a minimum 6 games as well but Dallas has only Luka as their main offensive weapons. As compare to Heat that has Butler and good supporting case of Lowry, Bam and even Strus and Tucker to compliment. Same with Celtics, Tatum, Smart, Brown, Horford. So might be 6 if I'm going to speculate how the series will go.
2157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Davis vs Romero: May 28 on: May 27, 2022, 11:41:37 PM

8 rounds or less before Tanks knocks out Romero. Maybe he will just deliberately prolong the fight and punished Romero for trash talk and finished him off with a huge left hook or uppercut.

That's risky if I am on Tank's corner I would not advise prolonging the fight when he has a chance to knock out Romero, you don't chase a knock out you wait for it to come, Rolly is still dangerous 90% knock out ratio is not something to be little Romero, in fact, I will not even rule out an upset here, I don't like Romero I want Tank to beat the hell out of him but the guy is a big puncher, and you don't underestimate a big puncher you set up a plan for him.

I agree, unless Davis is very confident that he can take his punches and not getting knock out. But we did see that against Cruz, Isaac landed some good punch on Davis and his legs wobble. So Davis chin is not good and if he allow Romero to hit him flush, chances are he can go down.

So it's better for him to knock out Romero whenever he could and got his hands raise and bring this boy to his proper place and teach him a lesson not to messed with the big boys in this division.
2158  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is going on??? on: May 27, 2022, 11:21:08 PM
Bitcoin price is a gradual process which the price can go up or down at any point in time, where 1BTC = 1BTC nothing add or subtract, looking at the current price $29,200 is good to buy and hold for a long  run, as it predicted to reach $100,000 per bitcoin. Therefore noting is wrong with bitcoin price, the earlier the better you invest on Bitcoin.

True, however, there are investors specially newbies who thinks that bitcoin price is always going up. So it's hard to imagine from almost $70k last November, to now below $29k and still going down. But the market is on a cycle, currently we have entered a bear market. And then prediction of $100k will have to wait till the next bull run, maybe in 2024-2025. So the best thing to do while waiting for it is to buy cheap bitcoin and then simply hold. Accumulate as much as you can in this bearish cycle.
2159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 27, 2022, 10:43:52 PM
Regardless of what team will win the Eastern Conference Finals, I can't imagine how can they match the dominance of the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. From starters to the bench, all are contributing well. Klay Thompson is not even always on-fire. In the whole playoffs series, it's only 2 times when he passed 20+ points and 3 times for 30+ points on which the last one is against the Dallas Mavericks where he put 32 points. What I mean here is, that he is consistent at around 15-18PPG this playoff and they are already dominant. What if he will get on his usual average.

Golden State Warriors currently have a @1.6 to win the championship. That was a good odds for me and already placed my bet. Maybe odds for them will slightly move depends on the tonight's game result.

I agree, the Warriors are too deep even for a good defensive team like Heat or the Celtics. If ever they will stop or lock in someone, lets say Klay, then they still have Step and then Jordan Poole and Wiggins to do the work. The Warriors also has a defensive stopper in Draymond and Looney is coming of age in their series against Dallas. He will be a perfect match against Big Al or Williams in the middle if they are going to face the Boston Celtics in the NBA finals. So it seems that the Warriors have cover everything up. Wiggins did a good job against Luka, so most likely he will be put to task against Tatum.
2160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 27, 2022, 10:18:49 PM
all the easy 3:0 today, except for Isner, that is out 2:3
one is currently not expected, and that is Norrie to be out by Khachanov, currently really close to happen, 0:2 in sets, 2:4 in third set

Alcaraz is on track, with 1:0 in sets, but struggle in second set, could be another longer match for him in the end

Really unexpected loss from John Isner today maybe he was just tired but he cannot lose to such weak ranked players at this high level tournament. Also Norrie playing really bad and is close to getting knocked out. Djokovic and Nadal just destroying their opponents 1 by 1

That Isner vs Miralles has a lot of ups and downs, I still think he can pull it out in the 5th, but as you have said, he ran out of gas in the final set, no legs at all.

I think Djokovic, Nadal, and Alcaraz can go and win on their next matches.

Let's see if Tsitsipas will finally have a match that will not last 4-5 hours as he will go against Ymer.
