3161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why did people get involved in bitconnect? on: March 12, 2018, 02:55:11 PM
Bitconnect looked like a pyramid scheme from early on, and it had a ton of warning signs. If you missed the fact even a ton of people on youtube told everyone that bit connect was a scam, so you didn't even need to notice it yourself.

I want to know why people got involved while knowing that it was a HORRIBLE scam from early on?
3162  Economy / Economics / Re: Country Investing In Crypto(Bitcoin) on: March 12, 2018, 02:03:43 PM
In many countries there is no money. They are in debt. What exactly can they invest? Who will risk the money of the budget? Why don't you think that bitcoin was invented by the American intelligence agencies to collect the inflation dollars from around the world and then bankrupt bitcoin? As you are such a conspiracy theory?

I wouldn't say that's a fair excuse, as there are many nations (take China) that are in debt and are investing their money as they're in debt, so they're just able to take out bonds and then invest it in different places.

But I doubt governments would get involved in crypto, it goes against them fully -- they'd be lobbied to stay in safer things to keep the countries economy safe.
3163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would cryptocurrency as a real currency be functional? on: March 12, 2018, 01:23:47 PM
The thing with Bitcoin is that it can be ever changing, so yes it could be functional in any circumstance. Becuase if we did hit the point where we REALLY needed to scale because a good amount of the world wanted to use Bitcoin, I think the miners would be able to do it -- I think they'd go for it too. Bitcoin isn't like anything else, we're able to do some crazy things if we need to -- like the lightning network which I really want to succeed.

So yes, I fully do think it can.
3164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Microchip wallets and Implants😱😱😱 on: March 12, 2018, 01:15:44 PM
I don't think many people would want to put something into themselves to store their bitcoin, the fear of putting some sort of electronics inside of them scares people (and scares myself) because you don't know what that's going to do to yourself if it's going to malfunction. Plus, I'd rather just have a normal wallet anyway (on my computer, private key somewhere private)

Putting electronics inside of me sounds a little too scary to myself, that may just be me though.
3165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Only Bitcoin or diversify? on: March 12, 2018, 12:55:03 PM
If you're diversifying into other cryptos, you're really not diversifying at all. You're just going to end up losing money when the entire market crashes, so you have to seek real diversification. That would mean buying stocks, bonds , etc. Something that isn't crypto is what you're going to have to seek.

So yeah, I'd diversify if you're going for an investment for yourself.
3166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Changelly name BTC as "Bitcoin Core". on: March 12, 2018, 12:15:06 PM
The only mention of it that I can see appears on just this one page.  Everything else merely says "BTC" or "Bitcoin".  Maybe a user complained to them after making a mistake and accidentally buying BCH or something?  Surely anything that makes it easier for newbies to differentiate between the two is a good thing?

As far as I can tell, the only people who seem to have any particularly strong feelings about this are the fanatics who think BTC vs BCH is some sort of religious holy war and that the enemy heathens must be smote.   Roll Eyes

//EDIT:  I also wonder if every singe post in the thread will mention Roger Ver, as literally everything that's wrong with the world is apparently the fault of this one person.  Stubbed your toe?  Roger Ver is clearly directly responsible.   Roll Eyes

Yeah it makes sense to change it just so it doesn't confuse people, and even if some people are outraged they're still going to go ahead and use the service because it's the only one of its kind around. I wouldn't want my users losing money because I was too scared to bother the BCH vs BTC people.

So whatever, it's nothing against us.
3167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Basic information to know the potential of a coin on: March 12, 2018, 12:11:46 PM
I am new here and I do really want to learn more about cryptocurrency. With my humble request, could you give any tips and helpful sites for my question? Your comments is a big help to fill my eagerness. Thank you.

The first source to know about any coin in deep is nothing but the white paper of that project. You can find white paper on the projects website and learn through the deepest learnings. Moreover roadmap should be considered while checking out the details of project. That one is important to give you detailed information regarding launch dates.

This information is sufficient for you to get started. However if you want to get yourself more involved then you can checkout announcement thread and important links provided in that thread.
I don't think that a whitepaper and road map as a reliable tool on seeing the full potential of a coin, they can be all broken promises as far as I am concern. If you are really looking for the potential of the coin you must also know on who is involve with the coin, who are part of its teams, and do they have a rich history of supporting their projects. Even in paper your altcoin is promising without a good group backing them it can all be just a pump and dump. You also need to be always updated about their movement as it can really affect on the future movement of the coin.

This right here, a whitepaper can just be filled with bullshit and people would be led to beleive that it is true. You're going to have to analyze the whitepaper with your own lense, making inferences on what you think should be able to come true and what won't. If there's too much bullshit then you know it's a scam, but if the project has a higher likelihood to actually become something (according to you) then go for it.
3168  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What exchanges will survive? on: March 12, 2018, 11:43:11 AM
The ones with the best support, best professionalism, etc. This is, of course, going to be Binance -- they've really led the charge when it comes to being the best exchange and the fastest growing exchange in crypto. I wish them the best in their quest.

I see a lot of people here think that p2p / decentralized exchanges are going to win out, I personally can't see people getting involved with them, but that's just me. I guess we'll see what the future holds.
3169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stripe to Stop Accepting Bitcoin Transaction on: March 12, 2018, 10:47:46 AM
Problem is that right now we aren't having the tx fee / time problem anynmore, transcations are going through VERY VERY quick and with some of the lowest fees that i've ever seen, So I don't understand the shifts in company opinon now -- when they're wrong about the information they're stating. Plus who cares about that anyway, if they're just being the middleman it really shouldn't change anything for them anyway.

Weird, maybe their controlling banks pressured this one way or another?
3170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there something that Bitcoin was not blamed for yet? on: March 12, 2018, 10:41:29 AM
Nah, that's normal though. The MSM (and dumb people) are trying to blame Bitcoin for so many things as a way to make us look like a horrible group of people which is only involved in criminal activities, this makes it easier to ban us when they want to and it makes the public not care / look the other way when that day comes.

It's smart by the msm but it really is going to fuck us in the future.
3171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Since the stock market got into Bitcoin on: March 12, 2018, 04:58:07 AM
No one knows if that's the first time institutional investors got into crypto, we're just saying that because it was the first time the futures came out and even those don't have too much volume, so they wouldn't explain the recent price hikes, falls, hikes, then falls again. So this may sound like something easy to digest, but it's not that easy in my eyes.

3172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Canada Continues to Attract More Crypto Mining Companies on: March 12, 2018, 04:44:59 AM
Smart country, they're going to be able to reap a good amount of money in tax dollars (and jobs, as people have to buy all of the parts to set this up from surrounding stores, maintenance, etc) It's a solid move for them. Kinda surprised this isn't being done in other countries to spur some growth in an emerging market (crypto)

We'll see how this plays out for them though.
3173  Economy / Economics / Why do people buy high and sell low on: March 12, 2018, 04:03:57 AM
I've been one of those people, the people that buy at the high points of crypto and then sell low, losing my money and then later on losing out on a good amount of profits which I could've made. I'd like to know some of the reasons that people do this, besides doing it to cut their losses as that one is my reason.

Thanks guys!

Bittrex enhanced account with DAILY WITHDRAWAL LIMIT 100 BTC

proof enhanced accounthttps://pasteboard.co/H5mTQGT.png

BUY HERE : https://selly.gg/p/d6d2fb47

I mean the above guy was right, people are going to want to have an escrow and not have to deal with a site that simply just take their money and no one knows if they're going to get anything anyway. Best way to do this is to find a reputable escrow, use them, and then have money sent to them and the account sent to them (they'd ensure some stuff is changed on the site so the bittrex account is secure)

Selling accounts like this is tough because you could take it back with just contacting support. We'll see what you say if you really mean business or if you just want to scam somebody.
3175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm wondering. What is the perfect BTC Dominance in your opinion? on: March 12, 2018, 12:01:51 AM
Doesn't matter. 90% of the shitcoins that exist right now will be dead in a few years. They have big ideas or in some cases half baked ideas and most of th will never even come to fruition. It's naive to think that they will.

Bitcoin is the first, has the most devs working on it and is still by far doing the best out of anything else. Saying the "dominance" should be "less than 10%” is like throwing a dart with your eyes closed and pretending that you meant for it to land wherever it lands.

What shitcoin are you shilling here? Or should we buy gold? Silver? It's hard to see why you're blindly pulling things out of your ass until we see your true motives.

Edit: Jetcoin. See? Now why didn't you just go and shill your shitcoin? It's just that easy. No need to sling shit at the one true winner.

Yep, most of the coins that are under Bitcoin have NO USAGE AT ALL, they're just hyped by people that own large amounts of them. While I do think there is a place for new coins in the crypto space, I do think that the only coins that really work is going to be useful is ETH IMO. The other coins are shitcoins which have no real life usage. They're just there for some people to make money.

Hehe, god I love this reply man!
3176  Economy / Economics / Re: Is china one reason why bitcoin dumping now? on: March 11, 2018, 11:36:02 PM
It could be the reason that some people are selling, but I don't think it's a big reason. This is because that there is so much FUD coming out of that region (Asia) I don't even know if anyone is going to take what they say as serious. Though I know that there are some people that are saying this, and it does make sense. Though if you do  think about the amount of money that Chinese companies are making from Bitcoin mining, exchanges, etc -- I would doubt that the government wants this stream of income to end.

Who knows, this is just how markets work.
3177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did mtgox dump? on: March 11, 2018, 09:41:25 PM
Apparently, the trustee has not given an exact public reason for sale, but stated that as a result of the consultation with the court, he considered necessary and reasonable to sell a certain amount of BTC and BCC so as to secure a certain amount of money for distribution of resources.

Normally, liquidated assets will be allocated by the court in a predetermined order (i.e. secured creditors such as banks, general creditors such as suppliers, stockholders, etc.).

Unfortunately, the trustee seemed to have used exchanges such as Kraken to perform the sell, instead of using other options such as selling OTC (over the counter), using a dealer network instead of an exchange. An OTC solution would not have caused the steep fall in price, since it is not contributing to buying out lower bids in the marketplace.

There is also speculation as to the existence of inside information at the exchanges causing a major dip (due to sell orders anticipating what would happen with MtGox Crypto being sold) that what the sell performed by the trustee would have caused on its own.

The bad news is that the trustee seems to have another 166,000 BTC still to liquidate at some point. Let´s hope he has learnt the lesson and does it through an OTC next time in an orderly manner…

This is highly suspicious but since it is in the realm of cryptocurrency people are not really bothered about it since all that they care is killing of bitcoins. I stress again there is an ulterior motive being at play here.

Kinda doubt this, as a court order would have to be followed either way -- I don't know what was inside of that court order, and if the court said that they couldn't share this information with anyone else (the info on when they were selling) But I do know that MTGOX dumped and it kinda screwed with the market.

It's smart to sell off the time they were selling to the whales (for some good money) if they were allowed too, though there's no way of confirming that this occurred. I'd love to see if the court order they got is public, would be a nice read.
3178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: who is playing with us on: March 11, 2018, 08:49:31 PM
In my view no country has decided that destroying bitcoin is really needed yet, there will come a point in the future when we amass too much power and then the government has to step in to ensure that we're in check. Of course, that's going to happen at some point, but we haven't caused too much disruption of the status quo to make that come to fruition yet.

Though there will be a day where we're regulated the shit out of, who knows when though!
3179  Economy / Trading Discussion / Why do charters exist? on: March 11, 2018, 07:09:44 PM
I've seen tons and tons of these people the charters, the people that think they're going to be able to predict the market movements by using fancy drawings, fancy math, etc etc. I don't see the reason for them here, Crypto doesn't seem to be something which can be charted / follows the charting ever. Most of these charters (if they followed their own signals) would be losing mass amountsof money

Why do people even give them the time of day? For echo chamber and false hope or--?
3180  Economy / Economics / Re: How to Choose a Stock Exchange? on: March 11, 2018, 06:57:45 PM
One of the big things that you're missing here is the security of the exchange and the support that comes with it. Those are two insanely important things that much be addressed when you're getting involved in an exchange. You're going to want to have great support, so if an issue does ever arise it could be fixed easily without you losing any money.

Plus, for security, I'm only going to use an exchange which uses 2FA, encryption, etc. It's my money we're talking about here, it MUST be safe.
