321  Economy / Economics / Re: Peter Schiff about the Winklevoss twins interview about the future of Bitcoin on: February 12, 2015, 08:45:36 AM
Peter Schiff is a gold only dinosaur, just like the rest of the gold only old people they dont fully get Bitcoin and miss on the boat, they'll get in way too late.

He doesn't like or fully understand Bitcoin but Gold and Bitcoin can co-exist and increase in value.

New information from Bitstamp :

"The information on your screenshots appears to be correct. However we recently learned that an intermediary bank, Standards Chartered Bank, which is processing USD denominated transfers for one of our banks, appears to no longer be processing bitcoin-related wire transfers. As a result, those customers who have made a USD denominated wire transfer since Monday may have their deposits returned.

It appears this may have happened in your case as we are unable to locate transfer with the provided details. If you did not receive the transfer back to your bank account yet we kindly ask you to please contact your bank and request a transfer trace."
325  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitstamp NOT CREDITING DEPOSIT - Bitstamp&the learning curve on: February 11, 2015, 11:51:54 AM
well if you forgot the reference number it doesn't surprise me it's taking longer.
anyway from their website:

IMPORTANT: MISSING REFERENCE NUMBERS DELAY DEPOSITS

To speed up the process Bitstamp is kindly asking those who are missing a deposit to please contact our support and provide us with your name, exact amount that was sent and reference number or client ID.

Which I did 1minute after I sent the deposit, 7 business days ago.

They don't find a deposit while I gave them all the informations needed. They reviewed the case and looked for the deposit a few times already.
They are not answering on wether they have been hacked or not.

328  Economy / Service Discussion / Bitstamp NOT CREDITING DEPOSIT - Bitstamp&the learning curve on: February 10, 2015, 10:34:26 AM
Sent a bank wire to bitstamp 6 business days ago and it is not yet credited on my account. Traditional banking is bad but the bank wire should have arrived already.

I should say I omitted the reference number in the bank wire but it should still be easy for Bitstamp to find it, yet they say it didn't arrive.

The support answers more quickly than before they got hacked of 19,000 BTC but they apparently still struggle to credit a simple bank wire.

Share your experiences.

When the US Dollar will lose most its value in a short period of time, owning gold or bitcoin should be great.

I agree, and I would love to have gold at that time. But Bitcoin is much easier to use in such a situation.

Of course Bitcoin is great and easier to move, store and trade than Gold but Gold is great too. It is the father of Bitcoin.

Off topic but how come you have a Primedice signature? isnt the ad campaing over and not paying except staff members?

You are right it is pretty off topic  Wink

I have my ref link in the signature for hopes of getting someone who will register&play via my link
330  Economy / Gambling / Re: #cryptogambling IRC on: February 02, 2015, 03:08:31 PM
Join IRC channel #cryptogambling to discuss all things related to cryptogambling sites. This is a way new sites can get their stuff out without getting banned and people can discuss what sites they are playing.

Each new casino can create a thread on the Gambling section of bitcointalk.

As long as they don't create multiple threads or spam, they will be OK.
331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is your strategy on dice sites? on: February 02, 2015, 03:07:16 PM
A fun way to play is to start by a big bet, cash out with a profit then play the remaining amount.
332  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC | 1% on: February 02, 2015, 03:06:14 PM
why do people need another additional bot. i mean what is wrong with the autobet bot provided inside the website?

~~~
I think bots destroy the fun of the game.
totally
You don't have to use the bots, many players love it. As for using a other bot than the one provided by PD, it comes from wanting the bot to act in a very specific way.
PD's bot is very efficient but you cannot customise it much. For example you cannot add a stop loss.
looks like swaps begin to turn bullish
Very bullish, futures are bullish and I see a lot of support so I decided to make a big move and buy a large amount for the first time. If I decided to do it, I imagine others will do it too.
mmmm, no, I wont.
You wont but I will try.
Lol dude, youre just following chinese P&D scheme. BTC hasnt touched decent support level to recover yet.
You are trying way, way too hard.
Bullish my ass, it was $235 at 3 days ago, $300 at 7 days ago!
You called this bull market? FUCK YOU scammer!
Coming from the trusted newbie. Where did us being kind go?
It is coming back to a bull market, it is obvious the market tries to come back but so many traders are shorting; they will suffer heavily when the price comes back to 280$ in 72 hours.
As soon as the cash arrives on the exchange I will buy at market price, hopefully it doesn't move up much before then.
The price could go up to 300$ in a heartbeat and if the market participants were not depressed by the low prices that they suffered, the price could go to 400$ and 500$ easily as well. It was there just Yesterday.
Introducing 0.5% Variable House Edge
To provide players a better experience, we invented the variable house edge system, it provides an incredibly low house edge for players most of the time and also a bigger max win when a player wants to bet higher. By default, the house edge is 0.5%, which is very low among all the dice sites, only when a player wants to make a bigger winning than 0.25% of the bankroll, a higher house edge will be triggered. So far, more than 99% of the bets on SafeDice have a 0.5% edge, so most of the time, a player won't even notice the system.
Is it better than standard flat house edge?
Of course it is better, lets take an example for sites with same half kelly calculation:
  • Flat House Edge
    You play with 1% house edge and max win 0.5% of the bankroll. For every bet with potential profit less than 0.5% bankroll, you will use flat 0.5% house edge. You are not allowed to bet higher amount.
  • Variable House Edge
    When you play with potential profit 0.5% of the bankroll, you still use the same 1% house edge. For every bet with potential profit less than 0.5% of the bankroll, you will use a lower house edge, as low as 0.5% house edge. The site also allows you to bet with amount higher than 0.5% of the bankroll with higher house edge.
True Provably Fair
SafeDice is provably fair, means that the site can not cheat its player by manipulating the roll outcome. The site shows the players server seed hash first before allowing the player to set their account seed. Unlike some provably fair implementation, true provably fair ensure the site would not be able to set the roll based on the player's behavior.
Security Matters
By enabling 2FA authenticator, your account's security is taken to the next level. Most of the coins are kept in cold storage which is separated from the server.
A Warm Community
We believe that building a friendly community is essential for a dice site, that's why we have a chat room, looking forward to talking to you there!
Tor Friendly
If you are using Tor while accessing Clearnet, you might have to enter captcha verification frequently. In this case, you can access our hidden service at safedice2ge73n2g.onion.
Does the site has investment feature?
Currently we closed our investment for public, please contact us if you want investment feature to be enabled in your account.
Please send email to safedice@safe-mail.net.
Like the idea of the low edge and the variable house edge, it is very smart.
