321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BzMiner - Advanced Commercial Nvidia ETH Miner v2.6 release. 0.5% Dev fee on: March 01, 2024, 02:16:42 PM
BzMiner v20.0.0

What's in this release (v20.0.0)
x Decred: Added pool support
x New coin: nexellia
x New coin: dint (DinarTether)
x New coin: Larissa

--- Dynex Notes ---

Fine tuning dynex_pow_ratio will likely give you better results than default settings
intensity option will adjust how much vram is allowed to be used
Intel ARC support still only for POW
-- dynex_pow_ratio --
Bz allows you to dedicate individual cards to either POW or POUW on Dynex using this option.

This is an array of values, one for each gpu

In config.txt , an example for 3 gpus would be "dynex_pow_ratio": [1.0, 1.0, 1.0]

In command line, and example for 3 gpus would be --dynex_pow_ratio 1.0 1.0 1.0

In hive, extra config args (notice the quotes around the array), an example for 3 gpus would be "dynex_pow_ratio": "[1.0, 1.0, 1.0]"

A value of 0.0 will mine ONLY POUW

A value of 1.0 (Default) will mine both POUW and POW. It will choose a POW ratio that matches POUW

A value of 2.0 will fully mine only POW. Any value higher than 1.0 will not mine POUW

A value between 0.0 and 1.0 will determine how much POW is mined, values closer to 1.0 will mine POW more intensely, while values closer to 0.0 will mine POW less intensely

A value between 1.0 and 2.0 will determine how intensely to mine ONLY POW

A statistic in the status column of the tables called "pow slip" will show you how much POW hashrate above or below the POUW hashrate you are doing. If below (-), you should increase your pow hashrate. If above, you are wasting resources doing unecessary POW hashrate and you should lower your POW hashrate. NOTE: It is not possible to be rewarded for POW hashrate above your POUW hashrate!

-- Dynex intensity --
The "intensity" option in Bz will determine how much vram to utilize to mine Dynex. a value of 64 (highest), will use all available ram, a value of 1 will use the minimum amount of ram. Default is 0 (converts to 64 internally)

322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Zilliqa, too less shares, lowered reward? on: March 01, 2024, 02:13:45 PM
The reward for mining this coin did not decrease. The chart shows daily fluctuations in rewards, but on the weekly chart you should have approximately the same data. It is possible that the profit will increase or decrease due to the luck of the pool.

If your profit has decreased significantly, then change the pool

323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SEDRA mining on: March 01, 2024, 02:06:55 PM
do you hodl, swap to KAS or simply swap tu USDT your mined sedra coins?
The profit in mining SEDRA was at the very beginning, when few miners still knew about the coin. Now it is probably more profitable to mine KAS, because this coin has many exchanges for trading and the price of the coin has a good chance of growing a little more, because it is not a fork. But buyers of expensive ASICs are forced to sell at least 50% of the mined coins.

Ursula is not just a game for blockchain players. But it's a game that could introduce blockchain to millions of players. Ursula cannot be seen as a game for blockchain players only. The game is aimed at a diverse gaming community that can easily join from regular platforms.

Can I use any SHA256 ASIC miner to mine your coin? Where can I sell SEDRA coins for BTC without kyc requirements?
I only know 1 exchange for trading. Кyc is not required.
https://tradeogre.com/exchange/SDR-USDT

To mine this coin you will need other ASICs. You can find a list of popular models at my link
https://hashrate.no/coins/SDR/benchmarks

These ASICs are used for Kaspa coins and they are very expensive. I would encourage you to do more research before purchasing.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you own a mining rig? on: February 29, 2024, 11:29:03 AM
They don't have idea that setting up mining equipment need technical skills and time.
Mining today with a good community to help you out from this forum, is not that difficult. Technical stuff gets known within a month or so and you would be mining in no time. Plus there are so many youtube miners, who demonstrate how to operate miners.

Quote
To run your mining equipment efficiently you have to keep an eye on the breakdowns and ready to fix them as soon as there is a break down.
Fixing is also not the issue in my opinion. Again the miners of this forum are knowledgeable and in most cases they will be able to help you out.

Quote
One must keep this aspect of mining in mind before starting it.
The biggest issue is whether you will hit an ROI and then cross over that.

Do you know good reliable supplier of ASIC miners in Singapore or Malaysia or Thailand? I need cross-country delivery of these ASIC miners on a monthly basis.
Try starting your search from the site
https://www.asicminervalue.com/

In the section Where to buy? there is a list of verified sellers for each ASIC
https://www.asicminervalue.com/miners/bitmain/antminer-ks5-pro-21th
I and this site do not guarantee you a safe purchase, but this resource usually contains links to trusted sellers.

In Russia, ASICs are sold as regular goods on large marketplaces, and you have time to check the equipment.

NVIDIA RTX 5090 to Leverage TSMC’s 3nm (N3) Node, Launching in Late 2024
The upcoming RTX 50 series GPUs, codenamed Blackwell, are planned for a late 2024 release. Like Ada, it will also be a monolithic design. According to Kopite7kimi, these GPUs will be fabbed on TSMC’s 3nm (N3) node. You can expect transistor counts of over a billion and densities of nearly 150 billion/mm². Blackwell should offer core clocks of over 3GHz and bus widths of up to 512 bits, resulting in memory bandwidths rivaling HBM memory.
https://www.hardwaretimes.com/nvidia-rtx-5090-to-leverage-tsmcs-3nm-n3-node-launching-in-late-2024/

What are the POW coins we will be to mine with it? Price points announced?
Where are you going in such a hurry?
I don't have 3090 and 4090 because they are very hot video cards. And I think that the 5090 will also be very hot. With such video cards, I will look at the reviews of other mining bloggers and it is still unknown what season will be on the market when the sale of this video card begins.

If you have, then look on their forum for ready-made settings that need to be added to the miner so that the triple miner works for you and be sure to change wallets.
This is a good video card, but not for beginners. Mining on it requires settings for new coins. In single mining, the profit is very small.

is there any video instructions on how to turn on settings for mining multiple pow coins opportunistically?
There are a lot of instructions on YouTube about setting up dual and triple mining. You need to write the necessary commands to the miner
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PHaxHzPF6w&ab_channel=HashOnTube

if you have Windows, then you add the same commands to the bat file.
And settings for the video card for the best power consumption are best done with a wattmeter.
But the basic settings are on the website https://hashrate.no/gpus
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Chia Coin Mining become unprofitable - the coin has fallen in price by 3 times on: February 28, 2024, 02:00:24 PM
After block 5,045,760, the block reward will be cut in half, from 2 XCH to 1 XCH. Each block reward will continue to be split into two coins, where 7/8 of the reward is the pool coin, and the other 1/8 (plus fees) is the farmer coin. Over the following nine years, the network will experience three more reward halvings, with the last occurring after block 20,183,040 – currently estimated to be in the first half of 2033. We built these reward reduction events into the blockchain before the launch of mainnet and outlined the schedule in our documentation and white paper.

About 9 days until halving

https://t.me/KartavKanaLL/10500
This picture shows how Russia plans to combat home mining.
The first 2 lines are tariffs in the city. The cheaper tariff is for apartments with electric stoves and line 3 is tariffs for rural areas.
If an apartment or house consumes more than 2100-2400 kilowatts per month, then the price of electricity increases. This is a bill from Bashkiria, but in Russia the authorities in each region may have their own consumption standards and prices.
they even impose restrictions on garages and summer cottages Cry
334  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Why is my miner mining less date every day? on: February 28, 2024, 12:06:17 PM
I don't know much but what I would say is your miner is out of date technology gets better all the time. What I would do is update your machine.
To update ASICs, you first need to pay off your old equipment. And the payback will very much depend on the cost of electricity, otherwise you will constantly invest all your profits in mining equipment. Therefore, Bitcoin mining will not always be profitable for a small novice miner.
335  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining on space energy on: February 28, 2024, 12:00:50 PM
Hey they could do it over the south pole. almost no one lives there.

what could go wrong with that. Wink
Large energy companies will defend their ionopoly in this market.

Murphy's law[a] is an adage or epigram that is typically stated as: "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong." In some formulations, it is extended to "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong, and at the worst possible time."

336  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Lowest Bitcoin mining cost on: February 28, 2024, 11:57:07 AM
The last time I calculated the capitulating price for miners in post halving, it was at 37000$.

I am a Bitcoin mining expert and consultant and regarding my experience, the least energy price in the market is around 2.5 $cent/kwh (Which is quite rare!). so the minimum price typically starts from 3 $cent upto 4.5 $cent for industrial mining. (and 5$cent for smaller ones)... You whether need to buy in-scale capacity of electricty from power plant companies (50 MW or above) or you should be smart enough in finding intact/virgin places with cheap energy resources that are not affordable to be utilized in normal consitions!

The normal energy price for Bitcoin mining is sth in the range of 3-5 $cent....In the non-US countries, ususally the cheap source of energy is from Hydro plants...However, middle east is going to be a new player especially UAE! They can break the prices in below 3$cent
Is $37,000 the price of surrender for miners after the halving of the entire world or for an individual country? or is this the average?
I don’t know the mining conditions in many countries, but in Russia, even at a price of $30,000, miners will work with a profit after halving.
337  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is Bitcoin mining a profitable business? on: February 28, 2024, 11:50:08 AM
Mining is a profitable business, but there are always risks of bans in different countries.
As the price of $BTC surges and demand outpaces supply, @WhiteHouse
worried $BTC mining could put significant strain on the power grid; crypto officials tell @FoxBusiness
fears are overblown but will be used to try and increase regulation on the industry. More now

338  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How do you cool your Farm? on: February 28, 2024, 11:43:49 AM
Like what type of methods u use to cool your farm ?
planning to start a farm  want to know what you guys use to cool the room

Atm typically 3 methods are used depending on situation... Immersion/liquid cooling, dry cooling, and evaporative cooling... The best simple and economic solution is still dry cooling through fan placements...simple but efficient and low-cost maintenance... However, if your launching your farm in warm zone then you better go after evaporative cooling. But it needs access to cheap water... If you would like to recover the waste heat of your farm beside its cooling then use immersion cooling. Btw the maintenance cost and technical complexity in immersion cooling is higher
I have not actually seen evaporative cooling in miners. I don’t understand how to deal with the problem of additional humidity later. And I can’t imagine how this system can be used in small containers. The cooling system should be as simple and cheap as possible to save money on maintenance.
339  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin faces risk of protocol-level censorship as miners under increasing regul on: February 28, 2024, 11:32:52 AM
Carole House, a former White House director for cybersecurity and secure digital innovation, who is now executive in residence at Terranet Ventures, spoke at the DeCenter Spring Conference at Princeton University in April, proposing exactly that.

In her speech, House suggested that it would be great if miners, as well as validators of proof-of-stake blockchains, came together and agreed not to mine OFAC-blacklisted transactions, as well as not to build upon blocks with such transactions. She also noted that having as much hashpower as possible in the U.S., where miners have to comply with the sanctions, would help make that vision a reality.

https://www.theblock.co/post/267759/bitcoin-faces-risk-of-protocol-level-censorship-as-miners-under-increasing-regulatory-pressure

so now they not only don't want people mining transactions on the OFAC list but if they happen to make it into a block they don't want miners to build on those blocks. just wow!  Shocked

OFAC is in the USA. The Office of Foreign Assets Control. They want to control everything especially about bitcoin.
 https://ofac.treasury.gov/

Definitely all states and governments will try to censor Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as much as they can, through whether incentivies or penalties!...But tech cannot be stopped...There are currently Bitcoin-related solutions being worked on in the Bitcoin community, so that it brings high level of privacy into the Bitcoin TXs. For example ZK-rollups for Bitcoin is one solution. It's just matter of time and advocate of the community that make this happen sooner or later. Bitcoin layer-2 solutions are what we really need to support and promote in crypto space bcuz they can bring new set of solutions and tools that will help other developers to innovoate more in this space and even help them enhance the privacy of TXs....So a lot of hope in the space!  Cool
If Zk-rollups can be settled on Bitcoin ecosystem then you cannot easily distinguish TXs and labeling them!....Privacy is not a crime!(It's not dodging law/regulations!).. And it's people right to deploy any tools to keep their privacy as mush as they can.
There are a lot of miners, and when there are enough transactions with high commissions in the mempool, the miners will organize a solo pool to mine such a block, and then switch back to the main pools. This is a crappy POS algorithm, where everything is decided by the consensus of validators.
