321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: July 08, 2024, 06:37:07 AM
It appears that this is another underestimation by the sportsbooks hehehe. If everyone can remember Rose's fight vs. Carla Esparza, Rose was not going near Carla because Rose was very much scared of Carla's takedowns. I predict that this will be a similar fight where Rose will avoid Tracy for the whole fight and the judges will consider this an advantage for Tracy in the score. The winner will be Tracy and this will be with a split decision. She is also a sexy fighting kitten hehehehehehe.

322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Rematch: FURY vs USYK 21st December 2024 on: July 08, 2024, 05:52:41 AM
The poll in this thread is in danger of becoming excessively one-sided. It currently stands at Fury:5 and Usyk:12

By the time the fight takes place and the poll is locked, I think the gap could get even bigger for Usyk to win but if I had pick a winner I would choose Fury because he would be more desperate to win and prove a point whereas Usyk already beat him and made the very same point.

However, it can be argued that Tyson Fury's desperation might cause him to become more careless in the fight. I voted for Fury before but it appears that compared to Usyk, he was very much overestimated because for this, size does not matter. Usyk is a more intelligent boxer and to win against him, the Tyson Fury should fight more intelligently. He certainly cannot do this if he is desperate. Also, desperation does not give a boxer more skill or strength. This only gives more weakness, I reckon.
323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Rematch: FURY vs USYK 21st December 2024 on: July 06, 2024, 03:16:02 AM
I cannot be sure but at the time I think my initial reaction was if the referee was going to stop the fight as Usyk seemed in no state to continue (because of the shaking right arm), how would he end the fight. The only way it was going to end as a no contest was if he concluded Dubois hit Usyk below the belt line. If that happened, either he would have been disqualified or had points deducted (which would have been irrelevant in a no contest) therefore I am glad the bout continued.

Even today people are debating about that punch and there is no consensus. When we look at that punch it appears people are concluding different outcomes:

I didn't notice that shaking hand before, but I've just rewatched it and yeah, that looked really unusual. He must've been really hurt.
It could be that Dubois caught him when his abdominal muscles were relaxed, or maybe the impact was big enough to shock his liver.
Anyhow, he did weather the storm and took hi revenge. And as far as the official record goes, he still hasn't been knocked down in his professional career.

The punch appeared to be under the beltline when it was approaching the short pants of Usyk, however, when the punch touched Usyk it is certainly not under the beltline. It was on the beltline. I will not be shocked if this punch has given Usyk a big profusion of low bowel movement after the fight.

Also, @pawel7777 is correct. This only happened because the abdominal muscles were relaxed. This might have occurred while Usyk was inhaling. Tyson Fury was trying to repeat it, however, Usyk's abdomen was always ready and flexing heheheheh.

In any case, is everyone excited for this rematch? I am not anymore. It might be more exciting to witness Bivol go to heavyweight and challenge Usyk if Bivol is victorious against Beterbiev.
324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Teofimo Lopez vs Steve Claggett WBO Super Lightweight Title - June 29 on: July 06, 2024, 02:45:03 AM
@Natalim. Agreed! Pitbull fights very much similar to Mike Tyson when Tyson was younger. However, what Pitbull does not have in his style is Mike Tyson's footwork and head movement. Teo will certainly give him organic eye glasses from all of the punches to Pitbull's eyes heheheh. Also, on Pitbull's style he should he very careful because he will have brain damage if he does not include head movement and footwork to avoid punches of his opponents, I reckon.

He had head movement and a good chin and obviously has power. And they are totally different style with George Kambosos for me, and somewhat I think Pitbull is technical as well. He knows how to parry shots and again good head movement.

So it will be like Claggett all over again for Teo but this time, he will be facing a power puncher so he should not stick to the style that he uses against Claggett of letting him be in the corner and then Pitbull just bulldozing his way and hitting Lopez with power shots.

I very much disagree that Pitbull has very good headmovment because very good headmovement for a boxer should he something similar to young Mike Tyson who was trained by Cus Amato, Teddy Atlas and has perfected the headmovement with Kevin Rooney. Mike Tyson was difficult to punch on the head and he was very fast to avoid punches also because he had the best footwork of any heavyweight boxer in all of the  history of this sport.

Pit Bull is very easy to punch on the head and he does not use very much headmovement because he has a strong jaw. However, this will not be very strong when it has received many punches. There will be a boxer that will give him a knockout within 5 years.
325  Economy / Speculation / Re: In July do we go bull and pass 75k? on: July 06, 2024, 01:28:57 AM
@retreat. I very much agree hehe. It would be very headshaking if someone would keep announcing that $75k and higher would happen for this month. These types of very bullish people in social media might only be using their followers as exit liquidity or they are not living in reality.

Price is $55,300 already heheheheh.

On MtGox, 47,229 bitcoin has moved from cold storage. This will certainly add to the present fear being felt by everyone in the cryptospace hehehehe.

Really grim days so far, I don't even know whether to make reentry again after cutting some loss at this point I just gonna wait until the waves passes first.

seriously though, those Mt.Gox, Ftx really does put some pressure in the market sentiment, honestly if they can just dump it, just dump it man, make it faster, this prolonging and seeing this news appear constantly in media outlet kinda making me stressing  Grin.

pretty sure this german's dumping also getting amplified by the fear surrounding mtgox and ftx news of dumping as well, so the market choose to take out their buy order.

It might be good for a small reentry to speculate on the launch of the Ethereum ETF which was delayed. However, this will certainly launch, I reckon maybe on 3rd week of July. This will not only bring bullishness on Ethereum and other altcoins. We can be very much certain that this will also bring bullishness back to bitcoin heheheh.

Also, has everyone read the news articles on Vaneck and their application for a Solana ETF? This will certainly also bring bullishness to the cryptospace including bitcoin.

VanEck, one of the first issuers of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the United States, has filed for a new Solana ETF.

Matthew Sigel, head of digital assets research at VanEck, took to X on June 27 to announce that the firm has filed for a Solana ETF with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The new fund, called the VanEck Solana Trust, aims to capitalize on Solana’s decentralized nature, high utility and economic feasibility, Sigel said. According to the executive, the trust is the first filing for a Solana ETF in the United States.

326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bolivia lifts 10-year old ban on Bitcoin on: July 06, 2024, 12:56:04 AM
@SquirrelJulietGarden. The IMF and the World Bank grant loans to country's governments and very much similar to corporations with their own interests, the World Bank and the IMF also have their own interests and agendas on a country they grant loans to. This is usually to the disadvantage of the borrower because they are forced to compromise to the demands of the World Bank and the IMF. The demand is usually more control over a country's currency and it is very clear that the borrower is always the loser in this setting.

However, how does a country get some negotiating power on their side of the negotiating table? I reckon this is to allow a currency that the World Bank and the IMF can never control. This is bitcoin.

I also never argued that making bitcoin legal tender will cause an economy of a country to improve. I said it might be good for the government on the negotiating table against the IMF and World Bank.

328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2024 US Presidential Election - Biden ... or ... ? on: July 05, 2024, 05:20:40 AM
@Sithara007. Yes, the presidential election winner on November has also changed. Kamala Harris is also on second place, however, only with a small advantage. 15% on Harris vs. 13% on Biden.

https://polymarket.com/event/presidential-election-winner-2024/will-donald-trump-win-the-2024-us-presidential-election?tid=1720061933114

However, this is headshaking. On the prediction market for the Democratic nominee, Biden is 47% and Kamala Harris is 37%.

https://polymarket.com/event/democratic-nominee-2024/will-joe-biden-win-the-2024-democratic-presidential-nomination?tid=1720062220267

Is this Biden being replaced only a storyline being created by the people who support Harris?

It’s pretty crazy how close we are to the election and people are still this confused about who the nominee will be. I’m not THAT old, but I can’t remember this ever happening before. I also find it a little hard to believe that they would just sub in a VP instead of selecting a new candidate, but I guess political donations and campaign finances plays a role.

I still think we see another Trump Presidency.

Is Joe Biden the oldest elected president of America? I reckon he might be one of the oldest heehe. Also, wjo would have predicted that his memory loss would worsen after 2020. It was only 2019 when he was speaking very well with a forceful voice. I am not telling everyone that he is a smart person or a good person, however, if you listen to him during 2019, you would say that he was a good politician who knows how to play the game of politics. I reckon Trump would never win a debate against Biden if this debate occurred on 2019.

The collapsed Japanese crypto exchange Mt. Gox has transferred 47,229 Bitcoin (BTC) — worth $2.71 billion at current prices — to a new wallet address in its first major transaction  since May.

According to blockchain analytics platform Arkham Intelligence, the exchange transferred the Bitcoin at 12:30 am UTC on July 5 out from “cold storage."

330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bolivia lifts 10-year old ban on Bitcoin on: July 05, 2024, 02:39:26 AM
I reckon that it took Nayib Bukele and El Salvador to adopt bitcoin is a legal tender for Bolivia to start considering that bitcoin is not a scam. They have witnessed the reaction of the IMF and the World Bank after El Salvador's adoption of bitcoin as a legal tender and what advantages it might have brought them on the negotiation table. Every country on South America should start adopting it is legal tender and become a united continent under bitcoin adoption. This would be very headshaking for the IMF and the World Bank heheheheheheheee.
The Bolivian Central Bank stated clearly that the lifting of the ban does not make Bitcoin a legal tender. Individuals or companies are not mandated by the law to accept Bitcoin as a legal tender but banks can carry out Bitcoin transactions through approved electronic channels. El Salvador remains the only country that has legalized Bitcoin as a legal tender.

I did not mention anything that would cause everyone to imply that Bolivia's lifting on the ban on bitcoin would make it legal tender within their jurisdiction. What I said was the lifting of the ban might have been caused by El Salvador's support and probitcoin policies. Acceptance and the encouragement to use bitcoin will certainly help on the negotiation table against the IMF and the World Bank.

Also on Bolivia and bitcoin as legal tender, this might only be the beginning. They might pass a bill declaring bitcoin as legal tender, I predict within 3 years.
331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Teofimo Lopez vs Steve Claggett WBO Super Lightweight Title - June 29 on: July 04, 2024, 03:20:24 AM
@bisdak40. I speculate the reason might be because he is not being paid enough money. Does anyone remember why he said he announced his retirement? He said he deserves more money, however, the offers being given to him are not enough. We cannot blame the promoters also because who did he fight after George Kambosos.

Teo is obviously looking for the money, and based on his performance against Claggett, how can he be paid with big money if he can't knockout a boxer with 7 losses and keep on charging against him and the fight going to the distance?

We might witness Teo on his best if he will challenge the best. I reckon he should challenge Pitbull for the unification of the WBA and WBO championships and begin the unification of all the 4 championships in super lightweight. This will certainly collect a good purse for Teo.

Yeah, that's what they say, but still go, this is supposedly a get busy fight for you and they pick up a fighter that they assumed that Teo will knockout and so he will look good so that his hype is still there under his name. But everyone was not impressive and then he called Crawford next? LOL.

He called Bud Crawford? Hehehee this is proof that he wants to collect a very big purse. Also, agreed on your argument that how can the promoters give him a very big purse if he is difficult to hype because his performances against boxers that he can knockout he does not knockout. Teo might be a lazy boxer who does not deserve money and stardom.

On Crawford, I wish he will fight the other king of welterweight, Boots Ennis hehehehe.

333  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for July on: July 04, 2024, 02:14:46 AM
I voted for no yesterday, however, I was very much shocked to see that everyone who voted also voted no with 0 votes on yes hehehe. The contrarian in me wanted to change my vote to yes and it appears that looking at the price of bitcoin at present, we might experience another month of sadness hehehehehee. But I wish we will not dump lower. I do not want to experience depression hehehehe.

Does anyone have news updates to share on why bitcoin is dumping after the halving? I can only find ETF outflows and the investors being afraid on MtGox's distribution to creditors.
334  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Sony to restart cryptocoin exchange Whalefin on: July 04, 2024, 01:35:54 AM
I guess someone on the Sony board figured out how degenerate people generally are and how much demand gambling has.

I'm not going to lie, this seems very out of place for Sony, if you ask me. Sony is an entertainment and devices company first of all, and they don't have anything to do with crypto.

To me this sounds like when Samsung announced a "crypto phone" that was basically a hardware wallet and we've never heard any updates from it since. It's probably dead by now.

However, this is a real exchange. What are they going to do with this? Similar to what @tabas has mentioned, this might be for NFTs for their games on the Playstation. If we are going to speculate further, Sony might be creating their own cryptospace for the economy for different games, each with their own tokens where you can exchange for other tokens of other games.

However, it might only be an ordinary exchange in the cryptospace hehehehe.

Sure, I'm in. Same buy-in and # of teams is good with me.

How much will be the buy in? Will this be in the same price in dollars or in bitcoin? It will certainly be more expensive if we make the entry fee the same in bitcoin.

Also, can we do the lottery for draft orders earlier for the participants to have more time to practice on mock drafts in their corresponding slot in the draft? Thank you.

https://www.theblock.co/post/292552/coinbase-faces-copycat-class-action-suit-asserting-tokens-are-securities-in-echo-of-pending-case
Coinbase faces copycat class action suit asserting tokens are securities in echo of pending case

"A class-action lawsuit against Coinbase was recently filed by a serial crypto litigator on behalf of its customers, alleging the exchange sells unregistered securities and operates as an unlicensed broker/dealer.
The lawsuit, which the company calls “legally baseless,” is similar in language to another class-action suit that was initially dismissed, but recently partially revived under appeal. "

There was an old case from 2015 or 2016 against Ripple where the complainants were people who were bad investors and were holding losses on their XRP investment. I speculate if you look at these people's wallets, you will witness how they have made wrong trading decision that caused them some losses hehehehe. They blame Coinbase for offering these tokens in the exchange hehe.

In any case, news update which might be good for the cryptospace. Interpretation of the law can be taken from uncle Gary and this will be given back to the judges.

Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) took to social media platform X on Monday to address the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down Chevron deference and its impact on U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chair Gary Gensler’s regulatory authority. The ruling, issued on Friday, represents a significant change in the balance of regulatory authority and judicial oversight.

The congressman opined:

The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Chevron deference kneecaps the regulatory abuses of Gary Gensler and every other unchecked, unelected bureaucrat who legislates-by-rulemaking.

Chevron deference, established by the landmark case Chevron U.S.A., Inc. v. Natural Resources Defense Council, Inc., mandated that courts defer to a federal agency’s interpretation of ambiguous statutory provisions within its jurisdiction. By overturning this precedent, the Supreme Court reasserts the judiciary’s role in interpreting laws and limits the expansive interpretative powers previously granted to federal agencies.

If this exchange becomes a very successful business for Sony, does this also imply that Samsung and other similar companies might make similar business decisions?
I totally doubt it. This acquisition and business decision is surprising enough — crypto is totally out of the scope of Sony and these companies' expertise and what they're known for doing.

Hehe agreed, however, I can also understand if someone will begin to argue that it might be possible for a very big software company similar to Microsoft or a technological company similar to Google to start exploring business opportunities in the cryptospace. I reckon with their billions of dollars they can create their own DeFi networks and start their own LPs in their own automated marker makers and their own DEX.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Showdown: Trump Vs Haley. Bitcoin betting on the 2024 US Presidential Election on: July 02, 2024, 02:32:04 AM
@Timelord2067. There is this on Polymarket.

https://polymarket.com/event/will-biden-drop-out-of-presidential-race?tid=1719887148514

It asks if Biden will drop out of the presidential race. Bet $100 on yes will win a total of $285.71 including your original bet. On no, it will win $151.52 also including the original bet.

I have heard different news on this, however, it appears Biden and his team will continue on the campaign. I predict that they might stop and announce Biden's removal from the presidential race after the second debate against Trump hhehehe.

It took ten years for them to consider Bitcoin isn't scam or could harm them.

Honestly unbanning Bitcoin is already more than enough, it doesn't have to be accepted as a commodity or currency because it would make Bitcoin become more centralized since the government will regulate it.

It's only need a time to wait for other country to unban Bitcoin.
