Justin Jefferson might not be good to draft for this season. Yes, Kirk Cousins said it is okay for him not be included in Justin Jefferson's list of top 5 quarterbacks in the NFL. However, Cousins will show his real feelings on the field hehehehe. No throws for Justin on 2023 hehehe.
While sometimes this can be disregarded as an irrelevant comment, how many times we have seen good players defending their subpar QBs even if deep down they know they are lying to the media? The fact Jefferson took the opportunity to take a shot at Cousins with his rankings tell us he is not happy with him either, after all he could have easily excluded Rodgers due to his age from the list and add Cousins as a friendly gesture.
I guess you should always try to hype up your guy, but let's be honest Cousins isn't really all that good. He chokes in primetime games and the Vikings were in way too many 1 score games last year. He's top 12 in the league but not top 5 and the only 1s that should consider putting him in their top 5 are his own receivers.

Have we found our 12th participant?

Hello @yahoo62278, I hope your health is getting better.
1102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Former Celsius CEO Alex Mashinsky reportedly arrested on: July 17, 2023, 03:56:40 AM
I don't know what the max sentences are for any of the allegations against him, but I saw in a Youtube video that he is facing over 100 years in prison. I think it was 115 years and even if they don't decide to fully exhaust the potential maximum penalty, it is quite likely that he could be dying in prison. There is also overwhelming evidence against him and he dug his hole even deeper making several transactions that to hide some of the funds. Looking at the whole case I doubt that he will get away with this. I am curious where they are going to draw the line between Mashinsky and SBF. Since Mashinsky ran a Ponzi scheme, I guess he is worse off than SBF who claims to be a good guy with good intentions nut bad organizational talent. Cheesy

Sam might not go to prison, he might be freed and might only be given a slap on the wrist hehehe. He is Gensler's pet and he might now also be his informant.

On CZ and Binance. There should not be any personal feelings for or against him and the exchange. Everyone who has traded in Binance has agreed on their terms, you paid  for the fees and they gave you their service. It is a business relationship. If they are rumored to bite the dust, you should leave the service.
1103  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto lender Celsius mulls possible restructuring amid financial woes on: July 17, 2023, 02:12:25 AM
The reason for this is to make the cryptospace community divided and make it look that it is in need of a takeover by the people behind the traditional financial companies.
The government doesn't have to go through this kind of conspiracy, if it is a centralized service they can just push for regulation and try to control it indirectly, these crypto centralized services are doing very shady things and maybe they need to be well regulated.

However, these good and honorable people from traditional finance want to maintain their good reputation and have a clean name because they are politically connected. They do not want to appear like they are the evil men who manipulated the destruction of an industry so they can takeover. Some of them might have a future in politics, their relatives might have a future in politics and their political connections are important them. They do not want to appear dirty to the public.

Similar to the Italian mafia, they like wearing suits and make it look to you that they are honorable people.

Would you agree if I say that Binance will end and CZ will go to prison on 2024?
Probably not. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Binance collapsed at any point. We already know they are running fractional reserve and they mint their centralized shitcoins out of thin air to fund their ongoing operations. Just like Celsius, BlockFi, Voyager, FTX, and dozens more, they will continue to operate and claim everything is absolutely fine until suddenly suspending all withdrawals. This could happen at any time. I think it's highly unlikely that CZ will go to jail, though. I mean, Mashinsky still isn't in jail a year on from Celsius's collapse, despite mountains of evidence of him committing outright fraud.

I disagree on CZ not going to jail. He was the trigger that caused the collapse of FTX and exposed Sam Bankrupt-Fried as a fraud. The rumor is Sam is a pet of uncle Gary and the Democratic party's boy for their moneylaundering operations. I would not be shocked if there was some truth to this because Sam's parents have some connections to the Democrats, his mother is also rumored to be close to Hillary Clinton. It is not a surprise that Sam is one of the biggest donors to the Democratic party hehehe.

In any case, there might be people in the government who will use everything in the law to witness CZ go to an American jail. This might also be seen as good for their war against China storyline.

@Rikafip. My prediction, CZ will resign or be removed as CEO and Justin Sun will buy Binance and continue to operate as a small exchange similar to Poloniex.

Do not take the reply seriously, I was only making a funny comment hehe. I am quite certain Justin Jefferson will remain one of the highest ranked players during our fantasy draft. He might be there with Cooper Kupp on ranks no.3 or no.4.
1106  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: First Criminal Case Involving Attack on a Smart Contract Operated by DeX on: July 16, 2023, 04:53:45 AM
This case also sets a good precedent because this might discourage flash loan attacks. However, developement teams should also encourage whitehat hacking and give security engineers generous bounties to find security vulnerabilities.
No matter how generous the rewards are, in the end the amount that can be hacked is very large. We are talking about millions of dollars. The good side is that these bridges are not easy to find loopholes in, so it is likely that most of bugs are discovered by the developer team, cooperation with the security authorities or making the code open. The source is the solution. In the end, a hacker will not risk his life for millions of dollars and will prefer a reward.

However, if the hacker is not a real criminal or a member of the Lazarus Group, it would be better and less risky to take the bounty instead of having your wallet constantly followed and scanned by blockchain analytics. It would be a very similar situation as this Argentinian hacker where he had no choice but to return the most of the stolen coins because he cannot send them anywhere without exposing himself.

Jaime confirmed he gave most of the money back, but said on March 17 that he unwittingly sent $200,000 in Ether to Lazarus Group — a state-sponsored North Korean crime syndicate sanctioned by the US Treasury.

@o_e_l_e_o. Similar to what I said to you on July 8 in this thread, before it appeared to be FUD. Presently, for certain Binance will die. The speculation is in how Binance's dominance will end. Will it be similar to FTX where we witness the imprisonment of CZ and the collapse of Binance or will Binance end like Poloniex or Bittrex and become a small exchange that everyone avoids hehehe.

Would you agree if I say that Binance will end and CZ will go to prison on 2024?

@zasad@. I am very worried what kind of storylines and doubts the SEC and the mainstream news media might create after this case. It is very important that we must not lose the idea of what the judge's ruling really implies.

From the information that I have read from the ruling, it appears the judge has clearly said that the tokens are not by themselves a contract, transaction that embodies the howey requirements. Read in page 15 of the ruling.

We have updated our BC.Game review --> https://www.btcgosu.com/review/bc-game/

Also worth mentioning is that we had the pleasure of meeting some members of the BC.Game team at iGB Live Amsterdam Smiley
5/5 rating? Lol, seems you get paid nicely from them.
They are a scam operation at this point, they don't payout if you happen to win. Lots of complaints around.
Except it all began recently, Bc.games has always been on of the most trusted and reputable casinos around on this forum, and for the complaint, there is no casino that does not have some customers complaining, no matter how reputable the casino is, truth remains that, there will always be customers who are either never satisfied, or they try to game the casino but got caught and penalized, they get angry and start writing all sort of negative stuff about the casino as a way of revenge..

Anyways, I hope you get your problem sorted out amicably, just do what the casino ask of you.

Also, it is not very helpful for anyone to accuse a sportsbook or a casino of scamming them immediately. It will not help the user get his withdrawal approved and it will not help the casino's reputation. However, what we can do as a community is help each other solve these types of cases, assuming that the user is willing to give all honest information on why the casino blocked a withdrawal.

I reckon this forum will not be a very good place for any crypto business if antagonistic accusations constantly occur.

Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins offered an honest perspective on Thursday regarding his take on being overlooked by teammate Justin Jefferson on his list of the top-five quarterbacks in the NFL.

A clip of the star receiver from a recent trip to Brazil as an NFL ambassador went viral earlier this month after Jefferson tabbed, in order, Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts and Josh Allen as the game’s best QBs.

During an appearance on KFAN-FM 100.3’s The Power Trip, Cousins was asked if it bothered him that he was excluded from Jefferson’s list. After initially saying he was unaware of the ranking, the 34-year-old graciously accepted the opinion before looking toward the pair’s future.

@zasad@. However, was it not mentioned by the judge that XRP is very much like a digital token and not something similar to an investment contract or a transaction that requires XRP to go through the howey test?

We cannot be certain who really has the correct interpretation, however, I very much agree with this statement.

Because the @SECGov and @GaryGensler refused to write clear rules for crypto, a judge just did it for them.

You will never find a centralized exchange which says "No thanks, we've made enough profits, no more profit for us". This is the sole reason they exist - to make their owners/operators money. Any service they provide to their users is simply a means to this end.

It appears that you have not considered that competion is one of the elements in business and crypto exchanges belong to a very competitive market. If you run it like I have enough profits, you risk your exchange to be outcompeted and in time your competition might bankrupt you.

In any case, news update. Binance might be outcompeted by the next biggest exchange hehehehehe. Sam is happy with news, I reckon.

Binance lays off employees days after executive exodus

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has cut jobs just days after it was hit by a wave of executive exits, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Friday.

The layoffs at the world's biggest crypto exchange come at a time when the industry's future in the U.S. market is uncertain, with regulators aggressively clamping down on what they deem are illegal activities.

The job cuts were first reported by the Wall Street Journal, which said more than 1,000 people had been let go in recent weeks.

1113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: July 14, 2023, 03:52:48 AM
I spent a bit of time watching some of their preparation for the fight. Jake looks like in top shape and ready to rumble at moment's notice while Nate still looks to be getting in shape for an 8-rounder. Respect to his effort in training but Diaz doesn't seem motivated enough to win and just waiting for a good payday.

It appears that it will be 10 rounds. Team Diaz requested to add 2 rounds and Jake Paul said yes. It also appears Jake Paul is not very much concerned about Nate's stamina which might be Nate's only advantage for this fight.

I reckon Jake is a very honorable man for allowing team Diaz's request. Other boxers like Gervonta Davis would force their opponents to surrender their opponents' advantages through their contracts.

I any case, these are good dates for boxing. Fulton vs. Inuoe on July 21, Spence vs. Crawford on July 25 and for the next week it is Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz.

I am not quite certain why everyone is excited to watch an MMA fight between Zuck and Elon. It will be a very boring fight with 2 nerds only holding each other for 15 minutes. However, you know what would not be very boring? A power slap match between them hehehehehe. I would like to witness 2 billionaires slap each other until one goes to sleep!

@YuginKadoya. This sexy fighting kitten is Ailin Perez. You might like her fighting style on July 15 hehe.

1115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Former SEC Chair Says Bitcoin ETF Should be Approved on: July 14, 2023, 01:36:04 AM
Part of me just thinks Blackrock wouldn’t have applied for an ETF to be managed by them if they thought it would fail. I mean it’s so corrupt but it wouldn’t surprise me if they had assurances on this prior to filing. We’ll see what happens but surely if the Blackrock one gets approved then they have to approve others. It could be very bullish for the price.

I very much agree. Blackrock holds shares of companies that own much of the producers and services in America. They also might have enough political influence to get the approval. I am only saying they might have because nothing is 100%. However, these people behind Blackrock are a part of a group that rule and own much of the wealth in America.

In any case, Europe appears to have launched their spot ETF already hehe.

1116  Economy / Speculation / Re: The bitcoin pump on March 12 on: July 14, 2023, 01:00:52 AM
News update.

Similar to what I mentioned in my Riot mining thread, it appears many people are still in a disbelief stage of the present market cycle. I reckon this will stop and everyone begins shouting that it is a bull market when they witness the price pump to $40k and receive the news that Brad Garlichouse of Ripple saved the cryptospace market by winning a landmark case against the SEC and setting a precedent that many crypto projects are not illegal securities.

No one can be certain if this is the end of the bear market, however, some unexpected occurences might mark the end of it. This victory by Ripple and Garlichouse might be one of them.

XRP coin surges after judge delivers a huge win to Ripple in SEC case

Ripple’s XRP
token surged on Thursday after a judge in the Southern District of New York ruled that it’s “not necessarily a security on its face.”

The news marks the latest development in a three-year battle between Ripple and the Securities and Exchange Commission. There is a possibility that some of these findings could be appealed and reversed. Indeed, the filing said that the court would issue a separate order setting a trial date.

Did Ripple and Brad Garlichouse save much of the projects in the cryptospace from uncle Gary? They won against lawsuit that the SEC started against them. XRP is now officially not a security.

It also appears the Hinman documents has helped persuade the judge that XRP is not an illegal security which might make a precedent that many projects in the cryptospace accused of being illegal securities are not really securities hehehe.

Who wanted to hear any update on this fight?

Bad new first then good news?

Bad news is that this fight is not going to happen anymore at the original date of July 15th.

Quote
BoxingScene.com has learned that Donaire-Santiago will no longer take place this Saturday at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas as originally scheduled. The vacant WBC bantamweight title fight will instead land on the undercard of the Errol Spence-Terence Crawford Showtime Pay-Per-View event July 29 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

https://www.boxingscene.com/donaire-santiago-pull-from-saturdays-show-land-on-spence-crawford-undercard--176086

The good news is that it will land on the Crawford vs Spence fight July 29th. I think it's a good move by Showtime, I mean if we go on the Crawford vs Spence thread fight, when the undercard was released, I will say that most of us are disappointed because there is no name in the undercard.

So definitely it will bolster the PPV number of Crawford vs Spence and then Donaire vs Santiago will have a broader audience, win-win situation.

Should this fight become the co-main event because they are fighting for the WBC bantamweight championship? Does this also give a chance for Nonito and Santiago to have the promotion put more money in their purse? They should be given more money. Nonito's millions of fans from the Philippines will certainly add more eyes to watch Spence vs. Crawford, I reckon.
1119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Former SEC Chair Says Bitcoin ETF Should be Approved on: July 13, 2023, 06:51:51 AM
News update.

There are some speculations in social media that uncle Gary might use the ETF approval as something to force Coinbase to be more transparent in how they operate the exchange if they are to be the surveillance sharing partner of BlackRock and Fidelity.

If the speculations are correct, I reckon the approval might take longer than expected because Brian Armstrong might have something to hide hehehe.

Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Gary Gensler pushed back on calls from the crypto industry to recuse himself from making certain crypto-related decisions, saying he is “fully compliant” with the law.

“I take an oath, along with my fellow commissioners, to enforce the law that Congress passed and how the courts interpret it,” Gensler said during a media availability following a commission meeting related to rulemaking on money market funds and broker-dealers on Wednesday.

Gensler declined to go into specific ETF filing, but repeated a broader concern of U.S. financial regulators that crypto exchanges tend to operate “a bunch of conflicted services,” a concern that the agency highlighted as part of its rationale for an enforcement action against Coinbase.

“What that means is they could be trading directly against you and market making against you which you would not see, or hope to see on the New York Stock Exchange or NASDAQ,” Gensler said.

To combat fraud on DeX, it turns out that no new legislation is needed.

We cannot be quite certain if there should be. If someone stole assets that belong to the people who use the DEX and provide liquidity for the DEX, this is still called theft hehe.

This case also sets a good precedent because this might discourage flash loan attacks. However, developement teams should also encourage whitehat hacking and give security engineers generous bounties to find security vulnerabilities.
