Hello, and thank you for your interest : 1- The amount of NVOS will be proportional to the amount of fees collected by the Validator. 2- It won't be converted to dollars, NVOS will be exchangeable for Bitcoins, the 0.99$ will be the equivalent value of NVOS in usd. The NVOS supply will be managed in order to stabilize the price. The buyer will be the NVO Team (in early stages), later it will be automated, it would be possible to use a smart contract in this case as counterparty is working on that. |

Any social media bounty campaign?
As far as I know, there is no social media campaign for NVO as of now. Just wait for further announcement if ever they will launch social media campaigns. Regarding promotion campaigns, they will be all setup on the go, rest assured. I would like to answer to people who is looking for investment bonus. This project isn't a token sale project, it is a fair crowdsale, some investors sent less then a dollar, and others up to 16k usd, and even more. let me tell you why am i pleased to see this diversification, because the investors are going to be users. NVO won't serve only large volume orders, it will be used by several users from small to large traders. It could be used by someone who needs to quickly and securely exchange small amounts from a crypto to another. It could also be used by service providers to exchange their Altcoins for Bitcoin in a secure way. NVO wants to be fair with the whole crypto community, either Altcoins or Bitcoin. The large investors who are looking for early bonus have to understand that the strengh of a currency comes from it's community, NVO isn't here to create social divisions, NVO is here to serve everyone from smallest to largest. Do not forget that 90% of the community tested at least once a faucet to understand bitcoin by micro payments. |

I have noticed that you dont have https secure protocol over the login and registration that might be a risk for some people Please change the links under the button the "crowdsale has started" button! i could use the ssl you have installed in your server by writing down instead of http://nvo.io/login.php -> https://nvo.io/login.php and the ssl was there! This is the first crowdsale or ICO i've taken part in and I couldn't be more excited about it. I did have to create a counterwallet and transfer my funds that way but overall everything was smooth and easy. I was very impressed with the product/service and presentation. Good luck

From the difference that's been stated in comparison to the traditional exchanges it's much more perfect and step ahead than the exchanges that we are using. It has got the competitive fee, but in terms of privacy and security far better than the traditional exchanges. Hope this will give hard competence to the top exchanges in a short.
You are right, the main problem is that centralized exchanges have a lot more visibility compared to decentralized exchanges. So the marketing will be of Word of mouth type and a minimum of visibility on clearnet especially to bring new users to the exchange. For the rest, i think that the advanced features and plugin system will draw a lot of users there. I have my own QT wallet.
My apologies, but how to create my own BTC address in the wallet (to use for the dashboard in NVO)?
Do I create a BTC address in the Send tab or in the Receive tab - of the BTC QT wallet?
I know how to do it - just need to be sure which tab to use, as I don't use BTC much.
File -> Receiving addresses -> New (label is optional, but I suggest marking it as NVO because you need to know where your counterparty tokens are).

I don't think you should compare NVO ICO's launched to others ICO's. Everything is black and white in the website. And escrows is all fully trusted as well. So I don't know what's holding you back as far is investing is concern. You are right, it is not to be considered like the usual ICOs, and it is a crowdsale, not ICO, there is a difference between them. Interesting, could you please provide a detailed description ? for now, we are handling investors questions, wories, and issues, but i would like to have more from your feedback, as of now, i can say that since the campaign relaunched, the total invested funds are around 30.000 USD, with the actual bitcoin dump. The actual system is more adapted to the project then to the usual platforms, because of counterparty, the most important is to secure the investment. I personally prefer to offer a slightly more complicated way to invest, rather then complicate the withdrawals. Generally there are always pumps after crowdsales, so i presume some investors (traders) will try to benefit from that, you can check this on the coins historical prices, sometimes the value is raised by x10. Chronobank had a crowdsale of 5 millions $, if you check them on coinmarketcap, you will find their market cap at 11 millions (ticker : TIME), they have been dumped recently. This is the pressure i am talking about, so what ever happens, NVO have to respect and secure the investors as much as possible. The problem is that if you don't input a bitcoin address you won't be able to receive NVOT as it is a counterparty asset. As soon as you input an address, your altcoin addresses will be revealed. Why XCP??? Why not ETH? Is there a reason? I just don't understand why you'd start on XCP when projects are having problems and leaving XCP. If you could please explain clearly your reasoning behind issuing tokens on XCP, that would be awesome. Also, let's say XCP dies or we decide XCP is not a good fit later on, will you be able to migrate to ETH or another blockchain? Is the benefit of XCP only to get started cheaply with less effort building a BTC dividend paying ETH contract? XCP is the one huge drawback I see in this project. While Storj and others are getting off XCP, you are getting on. Thank you for your comment, first i would like to ask you why do you think XCP is dying ? Currently XCP is one of the most advanced layers for Bitcoin, it is secured by Bitcoin, their team is implementing smart contracts, and lightning payments. There is no Minimum, it all depends on you, but as said Lauda, it is better to send like 0.01 BTC as a minimum because it would be too small compared to others, and you won't have much Tokens. The investment goes to an address controle by an escrow, there is no confirmation limit, the dashboard shows the current balance of each address, it is just limited by the APIs, that's why it is not showing up. How can be that a problem? When you can easily get a Bitcoin wallet in a matter of minutes. From Coinbase to Xapo you can choose a wide variety of wallets out there. Also I think that they are accepting other coins, look at the first page of the thread you will see that they are accepting LTC, ETH and Ripple for their Crowdsale Process. Recently, bitcoin transact through the wallet to another wallet are not been processed in a mintutes of time. It takes a day atleast to completed the transaction with the multiple confirmation in bitcoin. So Eth or litecoin can be used in crowdsale. Nvo announced that they wil raise the funds to design and develop their decentralized exchange in crowdsale. How do I buy into the crowd sale? The button on the website doesn't work.
It is working, but many people still have cached copies of the website. To solve it simply without hassle, reboot your computer, i think it is better then explaining how to clear browser cache, and other dns caches. Putting a maximum also implies a centralized decision on the value of each token. I find it better that the market decides the price per token, especially in a project focused on decentralization.
Because it is not really necessary as the investors will decide of the price of NVOT.
What I understand is, (1) Unlimited market capital collected through crowd sale results into higher face valued NVOT. (2) Higher face value of NVOT is created with just an idea in white paper. (3) Unless more people buy NVOT from Exchanges, dumping high face valued NVOT will be a capital loss for crowd sale investor. The main difference between NVO and other projects with defined crowd fund is, face value of other's token will be lower - and hence public will buy more from Exchanges. Thus crowd fund investor can sell tokens rather quick with better profit %.(4) As there is no dumping, there will be market stability for NVO. Risk factor for a crowd sale investor depends on public's response to high valued NVOT at Exchanges and how NVO team meets deliverables. People are encouraged to hold their NVOT, and this is one of the sollutions the team though about to protect the investors/holders and bring more stability to the value of NVOT. Because SafeNetwork is a decentralized distributed storage network, they will also work on distributed computing. Ethereum's most interesting are smart contracts, but they are limited compared to what could be done using SafeNetwork.

In depth foreseeing, I understand such kind of exchange is possible when I meet a person with similar interests, then it means NVO works similar to a marketplace just for finding exchangers ? No, the system is pretty simple. have you watched the Video ? it may be better then words. So, let's say that you want to exchange Bitcoin for ethereum. You will create an order, this order will be received by the validator using safe launcher (lots of possibilities here regarding implementation), this order will be set as pending order for matching. Once it is matched, your wallet will be notified, and will create a transaction, and sign it. The validator will receive your transaction and will check for the validity of the informations like the balance, the fees, the addresses ... once everything is ok, it will broadcast your transaction without your intervention. The same process will happen on the other side, regarding the one who wants to sell ethereum for bitcoin. Please feel free to ask more questions. .... Thanks to Lauda which identified the scammers, He/She is really reliable, I just hope he/she still continue to do these with the other projects. This has made everything good and an reassurance to make the platform a trustworthy. Some could have disappointed, but the delay will never decline the value of the project. But you won't be able to see the tokens into electrum as it is not compatible with counterparty. You can send from any wallet which is allowing access to private keys. They meant you should not send from coinbase nor xapo kind of web wallets as they are not allowing us to access the private key of your bitcoin addy. how could i see my nvo tokens?
To see NVO tokens you might need to import your privatekey into NVO's wallet (probably after moving out any of your BTC balances, if you concern). NVO wallet yet to be released and token distribution is not happening now, hence you cannot see right now. You need to wait till ICO ends. i see that you understood the project, good job. Hello, the NVOS will be sold by the validator at a fixed price, using counterparty. The amount of NVOS will change depending of volume. Do not hesitate to ask questions. Ah, sorry. I understand, let's follow the scheme : 1- Investor/Holder puts NVOT on the wallet. 2- Exchange collects fees, and prepares a distribution. 3- The validator sends the NVOS to the NVOT holders. 4- A sell order is open on counterparty DEX with the equivalent value of the NVOS distributed. 5- A holder can then exchange the NVOS on counterparty, for it's value in Bitcoin. 6- The NVOS are stored and their supply modified to maintain the price of 0.99$ I hope that it helps. |
